This is a very well remodeled nostalgic 1955 motel. Great internet, modern interiors, with a small but efficient room (at least the one we stayed in was small). Fresh everything, good bed, friendly owner. The attached restaurant was good. Parking was easy. Not comparing this to the Ritz Carlton, obviously, but for its type this is a great little place. If the instructions to the HVAC unit had mentioned you have to wait 3 minutes to change the thermostat it would have been perfect.

Bicknell is a tiny quiet town, where they roll up the sidewalks at about 7 pm. Why would you ever find yourself in Bicknell? It is close to some of the most beautiful areas in Utah, and the Sunglow motel is a good value. It's a typical 50s style roadside motel building, but the owner has completely refurbished the rooms inside. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and I have to say mine was the most comfortable motel bed I've slept in for a good long time. No carpet as the floor has been done in the popular luminant style material, which is, of course, cleaner than carpet. the bathroom area has also been updated quite nicely. It is still a budget motel so you wouldn't compare it to the new modern places but it was very clean and comfortable. I gave it four stars because is you want to warm up any food you have to walk to the tiny office and use the small microwave in the office. The room does have a small refrigerator, which did keep our food very cold. There is a restaurant, but as I was there to get out and see the beauties of the area I never got to see the inside of because it opens late, in time for lunch and closes early, because the whole town is closed early. If, like us, you're there just to sleep at night and you want to save some money, the Sunglow motel is a good option for it's cleanliness and comfort. Room was updated, spartan but sharp and nice. Everything was clean. Bed actually had blankets vs the oh-so-popular comforter that is too hot for anything above 55 degrees. Bed was extremely comfortable. Refrigerator was big and cold, with a freezer for your ice packs. No microwave. Just a note to Utah visitors, small towns very rarely have anything open on Sunday. You might be wise to pack some food on Saturday if you are staying over.

This was a great find! Hostess was super friendly and accommodating! The rooms are updated and comfy. The cafe attached had yummy burgers and fries and homemade pies! Only downside was the shower took a bit to warm up but then it was good to go.

Be mindful there are only 2 restaurants in this town. Bathroom is small with limited counter space. King bed is comfy and seating area was nice. Good location for capital reef adventure about 20 min drive. The pie at the restaurant on site is amazing.

Clean room, seems like recently updated. Convenient on-site restaurant has good food and service (we had breakfast and dinner there). Close to Capitol Reef NP, on the way to Bryce Canyon NP. Despite being a motel, we think it’s good value in terms of location and updated room facilities.

Check in was easy. Gentlemen was very nice. Room was large, clean and very comfy. The restaurant had good reviews, but I have to say the food was marginal. The bad part our server was extremely rude. I am 75 and I don’t think I’ve ever had a server that was that rude. We left no tip. And we never do that. So beware. It’s a shame since the hotel was so nice that the restaurant server was that bad.

The accomodations were clean and comfortable. Was convenient to have a restaurant on the property for breakfast ans suppertime meals. Staff was super friendly and helpful! The surrounding area was beautiful! Would stay here again in a heartbeat if I pass through again!

Very clean, well maintained motel. Reasonably priced for the area. About 9 miles from Torrey so not a bad drive to Capitol Reef. Server was good. My wife wanted an extra blanket and one was brought to the room in a few minutes. If you're looking for a clean basic room, this is the place.

The room does have a small refrigerator, which did keep our food very cold. There is a restaurant, but as I was there to get out and see the beauties of the area I never got to see the inside of because it opens late, in time for lunch and closes early, because the whole town is closed early. If, like us, you're there just to sleep at night and you want to save some money, the Sunglow motel is a good option for it's cleanliness and comfort. Also, the staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful.
Bicknell is a tiny quiet town, where they roll up the sidewalks at about 7 pm. Why would you ever find yourself in Bicknell? It is close to some of the most beautiful areas in Utah, and the Sunglow motel is a good value. It's a typical 50s style roadside motel building, but the owner has completely refurbished the rooms inside. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and I have to say mine was the most comfortable motel bed I've slept in for a good long time. No carpet as the floor has been done in the popular luminant style material, which is, of course, cleaner than carpet. the bathroom area has also been updated quite nicely. It is still a budget motel so you wouldn't compare it to the new modern places but it was very clean and comfortable. I gave it four stars because is you want to warm up any food you have to walk to the tiny office and use the small microwave in the office. We stayed at this hotel in Bicknell since we could not find anything closer to the National Park. It was very clean and quiet. They didn't include breakfast but they did have a good restaurant on site for breakfast. The only drawback to this hotel is that the restaurant was not open on Sundays and there was nowhere to eat in the small town, so we had to drive to Torrey to eat, The burger food truck in Torrey was very good.

Such a cute and clean place! It’s a little longer drive from Capital Reef than other options but I liked that it was less crowded plus the drive back and forth from the park was gorgeous!

This motel was a pleasant surprise! It was clean, nice looking, and was a great spot if you are going to visit Capitol Reef national park. The staff was friendly and we didn't have any issues. The restaurant had great food and service. You have to try the pie!

We stayed 2 nights. Check in was easy, the room was new and clean, the mattress was comfy, and marble walls in the bathroom. Kevin was freindly and helpful. Just sad the restaurant was closed 😔 But you can still by a famous pickle pie! 😊

Clean room, seems like recently updated. Convenient on-site restaurant has good food and service (we had breakfast and dinner there). Close to Capitol Reef NP, on the way to Bryce Canyon NP. Despite being a motel, we think it’s good value in terms of location and updated room facilities.

This is an older property, a real old-fashioned "motor court" probably out of the late '50s. But don't let the exterior appearance put you off. They've done a lot of work to the rooms and everything was clean and tidy. The only issue I had was that the water took a looooonnnnnggg time to get hot, both in the sink and the shower. And due to a lack of personnel for the on-site restaurant (in this very small town, one hastens to add), one has to go 10 miles down the road to have dinner/breakfast options. Other than that, a nice stay.

A small friendly very budget motel. Not we’ll sound proofed. We could hear the couple next door talking. The town is mostly nothing. We eat at an Indian which is pretty good but no table service, warm water but friendly.

Not bad but the property has seen better days. My biggest complaint was that the motel is way overpriced for the run down part of town that it is in. Our bill was around $150. A fair pride would be about $100.

Our room was clean and comfortable enough for a quick, one night stay. We never saw an employee, as our room key and paperwork were just left out for us on a desk, and we dropped key cards in a box when we left. We were disappointed the restaurant was temporarily closed, as we’d read some good reviews about it. If there were any amenities available (???), we didn’t use them. The bed was comfortable.
