Candlewood Suites - Loma Linda - San Bernardino S by IHG

Many hotels claim "pet friendly" but fine print is "dogs only" or they turn you away at check in. My daughter has epilepsy and her pet cat alerts us to seizures. So we need to travel with him. Candlewood is cat friendly! Nice room, comfy beds, nice mini kitchen. Clean. Well lit parking lot. Will definitely be back!

I like being inside the property, but the construction work outside does not seem safe for walking in the dark after 9 PM. Once the work is completed, the situation may improve.

This is no reflection on the property, but there was another hotel’s construction ongoing . No pool.

Elevator wasnt working. Trash left in the hallways. Trash left by elevator. The hallways stunk from different foods from all the rooms. Elevator was not swept or mopped the 5 days I was there. I will not stay there again.

This place is one of 2 places my husband and I stay when we come down. Free wash and dry is always a plus. The staff is friendly. They seem to be under staffed at the moment which means you have to call the operator for after hour's help. If you need to check in after 9pm its best to call and let them know. There is no complimentary breakfast but the complimentary coffee is very good.

Limited parking. Construction nearby

This property had very little to offer . No pool no breakfast had to pay for parking. Limited parking lot basically full . Construction on new build next door . Noisy next to freeway . I would look for a better option .

The room was comfortable and clean. They only perform housekeeping services every five days, which means no clean towels and no made bed for that period (unless specifically requested--unfortunately I did not know this policy until after I left). They also charge an outrageous daily fee for parking, which I believe is rather ridiculous for the area.

Stayed in the king suite for a couple nights for a music festival. Clean property and clean rooms. Only real downside is paying $12 a night for parking, no ovens, no sauté pans or frying pans in kitchenette and we were put in a room with a handicap bathroom so the floor was soaked every time we showered. Staff was super friendly and provided great service. Also no complaints ch in the room and they do not have the pull away beds for the cots but they gave us 4 comforters for o make a floor bed for a friend who joined last minute.

Stayed here a few times. Only concern is the elevator. But for the most pretty decent.

Our room was dirty (floors, shower, counters) We had no towels in the kitchenette and the dishes were dirty. The elevators had trash whe we arrived and was still there in the morning. The outside was littered with cigarette butts snd trash. I was very disappointed and let the front desk know when i left. She said she was sorry

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but there were roaches in the room and the toilet was clogged with hair and my husband had to unclogged it, he did want to report it since it was the middle of the night. The hotel was nice and clean and the toilet was not a big deal but the roaches disappointed us specifically when having an infant.

There was an ant problem in my bathroom, which was not a surprise at all to the front desk when I called. Clearly it's an overall problem at the hotel based on the reaction. The solution was to spray Raid in my bathroom while I was still in the room, and it took a good hour to get the smell out. This hotel needs a much better solution to the problem

Room smelled of smoke, when we left after staying one night all of our clothes and other fabrics smelled like smoke. Areas of the room were clean, but floor and kitchen area was dirty.

The room was dirty, the bed had stains (red -no sure if it was blood), the floors were sticky, the door handle in the bathroom was broken, there was food in the wall. Very uncomfortable

Everything was neat and clean. The room didn’t have any weird smells or stains. The kitchen was organized, cleaned and well stocked. The bed was nicely made and very comfortable. It was a perfect stay. It is close to the freeway and a lot of eateries. I will be rebooking and definitely recommend.

We came to the area for my Mom’s surgery at Loma Linda Hospital, and this was our first time staying at this hotel. The area of the hotel is in the same parking lot as two other hotels. Parking is $14 a night and they give you a parking pass. It’s close to freeways, food and shopping. The surrounding area is safe and clean. The hotel itself is nice but inside our room, we had issues. The sheets on one bed had brown stains on them. Looked like poop. There was a small red stain on the other sheets. (Good thing I brought my own) The towels did not smell fresh. The hand wash, body lotion, and conditioner were not filled, so we ran out. There was a dirty sock in a drawer left by another person. There were also a couple pincher bugs we killed in the bathroom. Maybe the room we were in hadn’t been used in a while? Since we traveled so far and it was a long day, we didn’t wanna complain, and have to move to another room, we made it work. The staff is also very, very sweet, and friendly except one person. I didn’t get her name. African American woman with very long braided hair. She was the ONLY staff member that didn’t acknowledge us our entire stay, and was not that friendly to others. The positive of our stay; the beds were comfy, and there’s a full kitchen with items provided. Housekeeping staff was great and so sweet but Marco at the front desk, he was the best! He made our stay! So friendly, down to earth, cheery and professional. Thank you!

I didn’t realize this was an extended stay hotel when I booked it for one night. My obly complaint is being on the first floor you can hear people walking above you and the doors being slammed repeatedly across the hall is loud and echoing because of the flooring being had and not carpet.

Most comfortable bed! Very neat and clean. Kitchenette was a huge plus and convenient. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Good location, only the mattress in the room was very uncomfortable. A huge body impression on the mattress made it very uncomfortable to sleep. It was a king bed and it was right in the middle. Also the AC was making a weird and loud noise. I would return but i wouldn't choose the same room.

Clean, give you a big refrigerator, dishwasher, soap, dishes and the room is spacious

The room was exactly as advertised. It came with a full size refrigerator/ dishwasher it had a stove top to cook with all cooking pots and pans / utensils. Microwave. The bathroom was absolutely breathtaking with a beautiful walk in shower with glass door . The lighting was amazing around the mirror, it also had full size pump bottles of dove products to shower with and wash hair seriously no need to pack shampoo or body wash. Ok so the coffee was out of this world . And coffee is so important to start the day . They have a coffee machine in the lobby that the guest has access to 24/7 . Oh also the parking was free even though it stated there was a $14 a day charge . There was not. Parking was easy and I parked in the back , there is a door you can access with the room key to get in . I am definitely going to return ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spacious and good stay

Great room with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Nice and quiet on the 4th floor. Problem with no one at front desk after hours- calls went to voicemail, couldn’t check out early in the morning and no one did a wake up call , even though requested the night before as my room phone was disconnected- luckily my iPhone alarm worked.

Due to an emergency trip to Loma Linda, I found that Candlewood Suites was the best place that was down the street from the hospital. Marco was such a blessing when I checked in. He was also working the following evening when my sister came and needed an extra parking pass. He was not only spot on with customer service, but was very empathetic when he learned of the passing of my sibling who had been at the hospital. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Amazing service! Everyone at the front desk was super friendly. The rooms were super clean as well. 10/10!

The property is a comfortable option in the area. I have stayed there 3 times now and during the day, the staff is friendly and welcoming. I have found each time I stayed however that they must be short staffed or something? Each time I arrive in town after 8pm. So, checkin is always after 8:30pm. I have yet to arrive with any staff member anywhere near the lobby. Each of the 3 times, I have waited and resorted to calling the hotel line over and over again to let whoever answers know that I am waiting at the front desk to check in. I don’t know if this is a deliberate cost cutting measure by the hotel, but a tired traveller arriving in the evening does not wish to wait and have to ‘track down’ someone so that they can unwind, have a shower and get to their room. In saying that, they ‘day staff’ do consistently greet with good morning or welcome back!

Gave my king bed suite away at check-in. I had to settle for a 2 queen bed suite.

Location close to freeway and plenty of dining options within a couple miles. Room was clean, like the eco friendly toiletries but two dispensers were empty and one was very close. Front desk attendant on departure was on phone and completely ignored me for over 10 minutes while I waited to check out. I finally had to interrupt his call and left keys on counter, got a wave and that was it.

Wasn\'t checked in until after 5 when check-in is at 3, because rooms "weren\'t clean yet and will be a few minutes". It took over an hour for a room to be ready, and the front desk woman was rude while finally actually checking us in. Also after coming back from an event, we had to go down to the front desk twice due to the keycards not working. Overall not great experience.

Staff very friendly. Had medical procedure next day at 6am and was unsure when would be completed. Asked if could set late check out to make sure and staff set it up with no charge.

We were charged more than the amount originally agreed. They did not communicate to me that they had placed an authorization hold for the room, never gave us a turn down service, no assistance whatsoever to resupply with toiletries. That was my 3rd time staying and after this experience, I’m afraid I will not return. When I reached out to management via IHG app, as rewards members we were met at the checkout desk with no explanation of erroneous charges. Management was not on site, only given a financial threat, if not paid will be put on a “NO RENT” hotel lists. I’ve always left the room in the same cleanliness as I found it, if not cleaner. I’d like to challenge for full refund or credits and if not I’ll just leave negative reviews on all platforms. This is only directed at staff at Candlewood suites.

Very convenient and close to the hospital

There was condtruction going on right next to us with another hotel. There are 3 open hotel suite properties abd a 4th being completed, all squeezed onto the same smallish lot. What is the need for so many properties/rooms squashed into an area surrounded by already hesvy traffic. I am not familiar with the area and wasnt aware how crowded an area it already is. Then the onslaught of these 4 properties and their guests add an even bigger load to the roafs. The hotel was nice and we spent most our time there. We were discouraged by the heavy traffic and avoided going to see any of the things we wanted to which was a disappointment to my out of state guests.

It was difficult to find as it was not listed on the GPS system. But was able to find it on Google earth. Rates were good. was there for visit to Loma Linda Veterans Hospital. Will probably stay there again.

Area

I brought my frenchie to stay with me. I appreciate the pet friendly stay and how it’s lighted up around the building making it easier for me to take my dog out for walks around when needed. I do like the kitchen and being able to cook and the big fridge. I also like how they have a snack area to buy things. Great location, close to Costco, Sam’s Club, Trader Joe’s, and Sprouts. We had a great stay!

Close to Loma Linda University Hospital

Good place, nice staff, free Costa coffee in the lobby. Rooms get some noise. If you have a loud baby next to you or happen to be above people bumping bass-heavy music at 2am in the parking lot for 20 minutes, you'll know.

The Property was in excellent shape As it was a brand new hotel. The staff was friendly and willing to assist when ineeded. I did find that the food supplies, snacks, or meals were very minimal. I could not get milk for the cereal that was sold there. That was very disappointing.

Selection of food in the lobby was very limited. They have the refrigerator/freezer space but little to no items stocked. I tried having a cup of complimentary coffee but it came out thick as mud. The creamer/half and half was curdled/spoiled. Also, I checked out early in the morning in my checkout day and am still waiting for a receipt with the total amount I am being charged for my stay. Other locations I have stayed at email me my receipt within a few hours. It has been over 24 hours and I have nothing.
