The room was very nice and comfortable. The television did not work as the Direct TV app did not work. A maintenance guy came and was not able to fix it. He stated he would notify the front desk but no one came back to fix it during our entire stay. The resort is very nice but the tide was so low, it was a mile out to get to the water in the ocean. Therefore, the pictures did not portray how it really looked. The pools were very nice but when stepping out of it with wet feet, the tile was extremely slippery causing my family member to slip and crash on the tile. No caution signs were posted notifying people of this dangerous situation. Also the towels given out for the pool were extremely thin and rough.

Overall, the places very nice, here are the things I think they need to look at. 1. The curbs all over the area are way too high they bottomed cars out and could cause damage. 2. We lost our key late at night and could not get any help from the security people, we were lucky enough to have a friend stay there or we would’ve had to sleep in the car in very hot weather. This is ridiculous. 3. The kayaks are in horrible condition. They take on water. 5. The restaurant food is very good, but the menu is very limited and simple things like hamburgers for dinner are not available, since it’s the only restaurant for miles they need to think a little bit about expanding the menu Yes 6. If you don’t wanna stay on the resort all the time it’s going to cost you a fortune. It’s $60 each way to go to Porto Penasco a shuttle would be nice at least to get there.

The pool tile in many areas were missing making pieces making it easy to cut your self, also the pool was very cloudy. Unfortunately the beach was very muddy and slippery due to how far the tide goes. My room was not ready and it was after the check in time of 4:00 pm

Pools are clean , they have bikes , pool table , things to do for your kiddos , Spa if you need a relaxing time and bar at the pool , or little convenience store outside the resorts ! Love it Everytime i have gone at lagunas , 15m away from downtown Puerto Peñasco but worth the peaceful time

This hotel is a few changes away from being absolutely awesome. Great value overall from room to restaurant. The place does look like the pictures. The pool is nice, but not heated (great in summer, a little chilly in October). The beach is extremely tide dependent, and can right outside the resort or miles away in the low tide. Great for collecting shells or sea creatures, we found a beautiful sandy beach just a short walk north during the high tide. It's a little remote, but a good value overall.

Broken dark shade, headboard, hot tub, luke warm water in sink and shower. Bugs on the floor everyday. After many complaints no comps. With one day left they offered to move us but we already had packed and was leaving. Staff answer was “I Don’t Know” to everything. Ice was $3 a bag. Dirt roads and long drive to other restaurants. I could go on but you get the picture. I wouldn’t recommend this location to my worst enemy. Take them off your sight.

Hostess at front office was amazing, she answered all my questions efficiently. Room was clean and comfortable and the pool view was beautiful. The restaurant on the resort wasn’t appeasing to my liking but the staff were great. The tiki bar at the pool played great music and free activities were included. A great time was had and I’ll definitely book again 9/10

The hotel was very nice.. Clean, There was a private pool outside our room downstairs.. It was quiet. Think they were trying to sell timeshares or something because they offered a free breakfast for a 90 minute Spiel about the condominiums . We did not go to it Don’t really have the money like that to even think about it .. The restaurant was pretty good for food but a bit Pricey for two dinners and 3 beers it was $75 with dessert.. The staff could’ve been a lot friendlier. They were a little standoffish. .. The beach was a little less to be desired although the beach part was nice with sand on the upper part . It was very muddy at the shoreline and rocky and a lot of dirty foam:/ The water recedes at times of the day and then comes in at other times of the day with the tides but you can literally walk out there for like a half a mile and you’ll only be to your knees .. :/ we walked out there in the evening and the water was so far back and very muddy looking sticky too.. looked weird! We decided to only stay there one day, even though we booked for 3 We asked for our money back for the two days we weren’t gonna be there.. They said we would have to cancel with Expedia .We were not able to cancel because Expedia only gave us until a certain date to do that .. we were just looking for a beach that had nice sand n shore all the way into the water So that we could swim.. we ended up, leaving and going down a ways to another Hotel with an Awesome beach..

I’ve stayed at most resorts in the Penasco area but this was my first time at Laguna and it was the perfect place for my family. Quiet, modern and amazing staff!! We will be back.

We loved our stay at Laguena Shores! The rooms were beautiful as well as the beautiful infinity pool with its stunning ocean views! The resturant onsite is excellent from the five star food and an amazing staff! Thank you Ernesto and Miguel for taking great care of us. We are big fans! Laguena Shores will be our home away from home for many years to come!

The property is beautiful as are the rooms - though they aren’t soundproof as advertised - the family above us had littles that were constantly moving around furniture. I would suggest placing families in the lower levels - it’ll be easier for them too since there aren’t any elevators. I would also suggest placing more bilingual employees in the staffing areas that have the most interaction with guests - I only visited the activities center once and we had to use Google translate - which I don’t mind personally but English is clearly listed under the languages spoken section so it’s implied that those types of employees are more multi-lingual than they actually were. I booked my stay through Expedia and really did not like being bombarded with a sales pitch for vacation ownerships right at check in - this information was not listed anywhere in the property descriptions on Expedia. The incentives are great though, as was the person who signed us up for the property tour was also I was just a bit blindsided. I also wished there were more options on the dinner menu. It’s also very expensive - but worth it - everything I ate there was amazing - but a kids menu would be beneficial and some more affordable choices - primarily for the families staying longer term given how far the property is from the city. STAFF IS RUDE. RAMON SECURITY WAS EVEN RUDER. WE ARRIVED AT 950PM AND THE ENTRACE SECURITY DID NOT LET US IN AND ALL SECURITY SUPERVISORS WILL NOT HELP US. WE HAD A OUR COUSIN RIDE WITH US AND THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW HER TO COME IN BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT A GUEST. SHE WAS JUST WAITING FOR HER RIDE WITH US. WE DROVE 8HRS TO GET THERE TO BE TREATED RUDELY. The staff was amazing, our room was super clean. We did have some small issues that were addressed next day, very pleasant stay. Cannot stress enough how good the staff is. The quality of the food, also top notch for reasonable pricing. Overall, very pleased.

Good: Room cleanliness, resort amenities and activities, restaurant food & staff, front desk staff. Bad: We stayed two nights and the room lost power at 3am both nights and lost water supply as well! We tried calling after-hours extension but it didn't go through. Waiting till 8am and went to front desk. They sent maintenance person who reset the circuit breaker and said "we shouldn't have any more problems". Unfortunately same thing happened second night. We drove to security gate to see if someone could help. They said "no maintenance person available till 8am". They sent a couple of security guards to help but they were unsuccessful. Finally around 8am the electricity was back after numerous breaker resets. For a resort like this one and the price per night I dont expect to have problems with basic things like electricity and water! Not happy at all. When I asked them for refund they pointed me to Expedia so now I'm stuck between the two. Hoping Expedia support can quickly resolve the issue and give me refund.

This hotel is a few changes away from being absolutely awesome. Great value overall from room to restaurant. The place does look like the pictures. The pool is nice, but not heated (great in summer, a little chilly in October). The beach is extremely tide dependent, and can right outside the resort or miles away in the low tide. Great for collecting shells or sea creatures, we found a beautiful sandy beach just a short walk north during the high tide. It's a little remote, but a good value overall.

Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Our room tv did not work and there was no microwave, but staff offered to change our room our last nite and also provided us with a drink of choice. Due to a recent rain, the road into the resort was flooded and we could not enter for several hours later. They need to properly maintain their road for residents as well as those staying in the hotel.

Lots of construction in the area, thats why we gave it a 3 for surrounding area. A microwave in the room would be nice. Better menu, same everyday. Not knowing anything about the area, we were not thrilled about the tide having to come in a mile or so everyday to make this waterfront property. Little deceiving. Staff was the highpoint. The pool was great. Should try harder about getting rid of all the bees. I saw a ground Squirrel take a french fry off a plate that was going out to a customer... yikes.

The hotel was very nice.. Clean, There was a private pool outside our room downstairs.. It was quiet. Think they were trying to sell timeshares or something because they offered a free breakfast for a 90 minute Spiel about the condominiums . We did not go to it Don’t really have the money like that to even think about it .. The restaurant was pretty good for food but a bit Pricey for two dinners and 3 beers it was $75 with dessert.. The staff could’ve been a lot friendlier. They were a little standoffish. .. The beach was a little less to be desired although the beach part was nice with sand on the upper part . It was very muddy at the shoreline and rocky and a lot of dirty foam:/ The water recedes at times of the day and then comes in at other times of the day with the tides but you can literally walk out there for like a half a mile and you’ll only be to your knees .. :/ we walked out there in the evening and the water was so far back and very muddy looking sticky too.. looked weird! We decided to only stay there one day, even though we booked for 3 We asked for our money back for the two days we weren’t gonna be there.. They said we would have to cancel with Expedia .We were not able to cancel because Expedia only gave us until a certain date to do that .. we were just looking for a beach that had nice sand n shore all the way into the water So that we could swim.. we ended up, leaving and going down a ways to another Hotel with an Awesome beach..

We love this place. Very quiet which is nice. But the high tide comes in late morning and goes out a couple of hours later. This was fine for us but others in our party wanted to swim in the ocean. The food at the pool is amazing!!

Had a short but lovely getaway here for my birthday and I was wonderfully impressed! The food at Infusion del Golfo is great, the service across all areas of the resort is top-notch and the villa we stayed in was absolutely lovely. And it's just beautiful, an easy drive into Rocky Point itself but nice and quiet and safe and private if you don't want to venture too far.

We loved our stay at Laguena Shores! The rooms were beautiful as well as the beautiful infinity pool with its stunning ocean views! The resturant onsite is excellent from the five star food and an amazing staff! Thank you Ernesto and Miguel for taking great care of us. We are big fans! We were shocked to find this hidden not-so-well-known gem! The property was clean and well maintained. The pools were wonderful. The food was excellent and inexpensive at the adjacent restaurant. We also loved the location on Cholla Bay - being able to explore tide pools during low tide and swim during high tide. We will be back!
