Scotty’s has a beautiful lake side property. I have been to numerous resorts and this resort is superior. Everything on the main strip is walkable, the resort has a massive beach along with water craft rentals, and there is numerous activities/games to play in the beach. Also to mention they have a lakeside bar and pool. Do not hesitate to book a stay at Scotty’s, it was a amazing time!

We only stayed for the night, but would definitely return to enjoy the facilities....beautiful beach area, volleyball court, corn hole set, swimming pool, arcade, kayaks and much more. The staff is so friendly. Rooms are clean.

Went off-season so it was very nice & not too busy. We were able to enjoy the pool and fire pits both nights, with a few other guests joining in which was fun. The only disappointment was that the cafe, bar and arcade were not open on the days we were there. We arrived on a Wednesday and left on Friday and the option on a cafe & bar on the property was a factor in deciding to book there so I wish we had been made aware. Overall the place was great and there's lots of choices for dining elsewhere.

Very fun vacation spot. Plan on returning. A couple opportunities for improvement: People put towels out in the morning and hold tables/chairs/cabanas for hours and hours on end so that no one can use them, yet they are nowhere in site. It’s extremely rude and the property doesn’t monitor at all. One of the beds in our room was full of sand. The beds were also very old and uncomfortable, so much that we had to switch rooms or our vacation would have been ruined bc we could not sleep without rolling into each other. The steps to the rooms are extremely steep and worn and could afford to be fixed up. Otherwise it is super fun property with a lot to do. Banana chocolate mudslide was great.

We stayed here for one night. This property is awesome. We really had a very pleasant time here. The reception was kind enough to upgrade our room to the lakeside rooms as complimentary, which were very spacious, very very clean and the washrooms were super clean. There is a small park for the kids to enjoy with basketball and volley court along with pingpong table. There were two bonfire sites with 8-10 chairs to chill and enjoy in the evening. I wish we had more off days, to stay here, relax and enjoy here. I will definitely stay here again, whenever I visit Lake George next time.

Bed cover sheets were dirty, with a lot of hair. The beds were so squeaky and the pool was so salty with urine. It seemed that it did not have chlorine. I like the easy parking and safety.

Beautiful family friendly property! Low stars for the cleanliness of the room. Upon arrival, the room smelled like vomit and perfume. It was overwhelming! We tried to get the room switched but unfortunately the resort was fully booked. Housekeeping tried bleaching the bathrooms but then it just smelled like vomit and bleach. After some sniffing around we determined that it was in the carpeting. The room was old along with the carpeting so they tried to clean it but nothing helped. We settled for a couple of towels to help mask the smell.

The room was very clean. The property was great with lots of activities for kids: pool splash pad volleyball ping pong etc. They have fire pits on at night. Walkable distance to all the restaurants and small stores. Took us about 15 minutes to walk to all the food options. The walk is fairly easy, must say the only “hill” is the one to leave the resort . Only bad thing I can comment on is the bed is very very firm. Overall amazing stay and will be back

Greay location , put some money bacj into the rooms , the A/C was horrible the beds where uncomfortable and the floor was bouncing . Come on , and i could see the outside from the back wall and the paneling was coming off !!!

We had a great last minute stay at Scotty’s. Our kids (7,5) really enjoyed their time as did we. Rooms (2 queens) were on the smaller side but very clean and adequate for our family. About 1 mile into town, walkable if you’re adventurous lol. The grounds were clean and well taken care of. Would definitely go back!

The overall site is great for families, the pool, lake access and the park were a good plus. However, the room we were in ( one queen bed, one double bed) was outdated. The walls are so thin we can hear everything going on in the next room. The pool gets pretty crowded. The view is gorgeous and the staff is great!

Resort was a good place to stay as first time visitors to Lake George. The onsite activities available including water sport rentals were nice. The cleaning service crew came by every day to swap out towels and make up the beds which was great. The cafe is ok to grab a bite to eat or snack when you don’t want to walk or drive into the Lake George village. Our room floor was slanted which made the bed and dressers slanted. Wasn’t horrible but could definitely tell when we went to bed. We had to sign a contract that we would not smoke in our room but that didn’t stop our neighbors and other guests from smoking all over the resort (including by the pool and lake) and on front porches. My kids did not like walking out our front door to the smell of marijuana all day every day. Excellent view of the fireworks show on Fourth of July. Didn’t have to fight the crowds in the Village for a viewing spot. Would have been nice if the resort hosted some 4th of July activities. Overall, we had a good time at the resort!

Was totally expecting a view of the lake as shown in the pics of the room when reserved. Was at the very top of the property with absolutely no view of anything. Can tell the age of the property. And none of their dining options were open while we were there. Room was musty and the small A/C could not keep up to keep the room cool. Did have alot of nice amenities to play and use on the property other than food like volleyball, corn hole, pool, fire pits, etc.

Swimming pool, splash pad, beach and playground with lots of kids for my grandson to play with. Having a restaurant on the premises is a huge plus. Office staff is very responsive to requests, issues. Lights over the bed did not work - never were fixed while I was there. They did bring me a lamp to read by. Housekeeping was sketchy - Had to call to get coffee and cups and toilet paper. They do bring fresh towels and take out the trash each day. Overall greaqt place to stay and will return.

Great vacation spot. I liked being right on the lake. The outdoor pool was beautiful and it was nice to be able to rent the kayaks right on the property. Nice that it was within walking distance to the "steam" boats and most importantly, the Frankenstein wax museum ;)

The property is nice. It's clean. The staff is nice. They clean the grills regularly. The property is well maintained. The only thing i didn't like is that they don't have good dining options. The small dining area n bar close at 8 pm. Leaving you to have to drive into town if you want to eat later then that or grab a drink. They also don't have a convenient store.

We love Scotty's Lakeside Resort. We enjoyed our 3 day stay. Will definitely consider coming back. Scotty’s is a gem, adorable motel right on the lake. Room was very clean, brand new bathroom , king bed was comfortable. Small fridge and coffee maker. Nice heated pool, beach area with volleyball and cornhole. 2 nice fire pits to sit around at night. Beautiful! Only disappointment was the building by pool only open Friday- sunday until later in season. Very close to town. We had a great stay!

Shower sliding door wouldn’t stay closed, bar was only open till 8pm on a Saturday night with about 25 people in there and right outside the door. $8 for a bacon, egg and cheese bagel!! Ridiculous!!

Scotty’s does an absolutely incredible job with the entire grounds. The rooms are clean and kept up. The grounds were incredibly maintained and clean. Loved the snack bar, excellent breakfast. My son loved the arcade. We’ll be staying there next year for sure.

Our overall stay was excellent. The facilities, activities, cleanliness were all great. If we had one complaint it was the hours of the cafe. People are up early before 8am and looking for coffee, the coffee maker in the room was terrible so we’d suggest either putting a better coffee maker (Keurig) in the rooms or having a coffee bar/option by the cafe earlier in the morning.
