Room was comfortable. Nice bedding. Fitness room had basics - mat, weights, kettlebells, ball- bike and elliptical machine but I could not get treadmill to work. Hotel situated right next to gas station - a plus for travelers. No nearby restaurant options though.

The Pros: great breakfast, friendly staff, clean property, convenient access to the 880 freeway, close to downtown and lots of dining and shopping nearby. The Cons: Parking spots are ridiculously narrow, trucks pull into the gas station across the street and they're loud. The bed in my room sloped downhill on one side.

The staff was EXCELLENT. The gentleman working the night of our check-in was the best, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. He also came immediately to our room and fixed an issue with our tv when called. Everyone else was equally as nice, including the morning front desk clerk and the ladies providing the breakfast which was filled with lots of choices in a very clean inviting space. The hotel was small and well kept and the accommodations were clean and comfy, but the staff was the highlight. Also great free parking literally right outside the lobby.

when I first read the review for trip advisor some guest said it wasn't clean. When I check in to the hotel. It was very clean and especially the bathroom was clean. I was happy to stay there and will stay again.

The wifi was out for 5 days, housekeeping skipped over my room 2 days, and then walls are so thin i could hear my neighbors tv at 5:45 AM. Everyone was nice but I wouldnt stay here again.

Wow, the value for your money at this location is fantastic. The location is right off the freeway, parking is convenient and complimentary, and the property is kept up nicely. I stayed for 3 days and I will definitely stay here on future San Jose trips. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good: There was a big bowl of fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes, and either bacon or sausage, and there was another bowl of fresh strawberries and blueberries for the yogurt. There was a cool coffee maker, and also orange juice & cranberry juice which were all good. Also included was cereal, toast, oranges, a waffle maker, and other breakfast staples. I suggest getting there before the last hour of breakfast to get the best selection. Service was awesome from check in to checkout. I had an issue with the tv remote late at night and the front desk employee came up to my room and changed out the box on my tv and had it working in ten minutes. Every employee was friendly & professional. I highly recommend this motel.

I love the staff. One receptionist is always so accommodating and helpful. The coffee machine is the best! My only issue is the toilets look a lil beat up and should most definitely be replaced. I have stayed here 2 times already and have another trip soon and looking forward to it!

The staff that we encountered we very friendly. The room was clean compared to more up scale locations I have stayed in. Never used the pool although it was opened. 6 minutes to the San Jose Convention Center (McEnery). The cafe across the street was very delicious). The complimentary breakfast at the hotel was well stocked and delicious. Overall a great stay.

I had booked a twin-bed room at this hotel for four nights a long time ago because it’s close to the venue where my son was competing. However, when we checked in, the front desk told us that the information they received from Hotels.com showed a king-bed room, not a twin-bed room. They said they only had a twin-bed room available for that first night, but none for the following nights. I was very confused because Hotels.com had never made such an important mistake before. The next morning, another front desk staff member told me that the reservation was indeed for a twin-bed room, but all such rooms were already booked. Since my son is 16 years old, he’s not used to sharing a bed, and getting good sleep is crucial for his competition. On top of that, the hotel’s facilities were outdated—the air conditioning was so noisy it sounded like thunder, the room faced a busy street and was very loud, the space felt cramped, and the breakfast was below the standard of other Western Plus. We quickly decided to move to another Holiday Inn Express near the airport. Thankfully, the new hotel was much better in every way, and it made us forget about the unpleasant experience we had before.

Didn't really like the area a lot of homeless around the parking was very very small parking you have to drive to go shopping or to go have dinner at a restaurant they guy across the room from us set the smoke alarm off by smoking in his room although there was a big sign that said NO SMOKING in ROOMS !! and it wasn't quiet traffic and police cars you can hear cause the street is right next to the hotel

This was a wonderful hotel. It's located right off the interstate with easy access to most of the bay area. The breakfast was phenomenal! Best continental breakfast in a hotel I've stayed at for many years. Quick check in, clean, I highly recommend.

Average hotel - not great but not bad either. It’s a good place to stay if you need an ok place to stay for a night. It’s conveniently close to the freeway. Free breakfast is typical though their coffee machine is better than most hotels which offer free breakfast.

This location is a short drive to the Winchester Mystery House (about 15 minutes) and very close the San Jose International Airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed at many hotels in this price range that offer complimentary breakfasts and was not expecting the variety of options they offered here. They served Scrambled eggs and sausage links with home style potatoes, waffles, a build your own yogurt bowl station, fruit juices, a coffee maker that grinds fresh beans for each cup and instant oatmeal. I was impressed and it makes one less expense in trying to find a place to eat breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious with dual pane windows and shutters to block out the light. We will certainly look to stay here again if we ever find ourselves in this part of San Jose again.

Breakfast is good if you only stay for 1 day as breakfast menu remains almost the same every single day. Egg, Potatoes and Bacon . You got sick of eating the same breakfast if you stay for more than a night.
