Hampton Inn & Suites Camp Springs/Andrews AFB

Check in was delayed and very slow. There was no notice that the gym would be closed for renovation. The door to the pool was unsecured, lights in the pool area were out, and there was a broken vent cover outside of the pool. There was a Ziploc bag of meat frozen and stuck in the freezer of the in-room refrigerator. The water in the shower was too hot. There was no air in the hallways. The bathroom door hit the light in the bathroom when it was opened.

Nice hotel in 0.7 miles from Branch Avenue metro station. There is a shuttle service to/from station. Good standard breakfast.

The hotel was very nice and clean, however the indoor pool was extremely cold and would have been great if the property had a hot tub. Breakfast was really good, the day time staff is much friendlier than the night time staff. I would definitely stay again with my husband and children for a family vacation. The hotel is currently under renovation and I can’t wait to see the new outcome.

The parking lot was a little small. They ran out of dark roast coffee at 9:45. The woman said they weren’t going to refill it because it was close to the end of breakfast.

Stayed here with my family during our trip to DC. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I gave 4 stars because the pool was extremely disappointing. Water was cloudy and way too cold for an indoor pool. But if the pool doesn’t matter to you, it's a great place to stay.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Rooms comfortable. Indoor pool was not heated and that shouldve been specified on website. Pool was not clean and dirty towels lying around.

The hotel was a fine place just to stay the night. The breakfast was good. But it was disappointing that the indoor pool was not heated and therefore cold and not enjoyable. They also advertised a shuttle service but because of call outs, it was not available 3 of the 4 days we were there. Even though it is a mile walk to the metro, it would have been nice to have a ride after walking around DC all day.

Ciera was great. The other young was ok. The pool was ice cold for a indoor pool

Pool was not heated. Wifi did not work. Couldn’t use the fire stick because WiFi would not connect. Breakfast was on par.

Definetly one of the best hotels of our last trip. The service was perfect and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing: generous, varied and delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get enough time to use the pool. The only reason I am removing a star is because there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom which caused a lot of humidity and we found trash in the trashcan from the people who previously stayed in our room.

Our stay was just ok, the room was quite dusty, the thermostat on the wall didn’t work had to manually change the temp by the controls on the unit, shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. My husband had to tighten it by hand and change the sprayer direction. Toilet seat had hair on it and cracks in the porcelain. I cleaned and disinfected the room myself with cleaner I brought with us. Sheets were too small for the king size bed and turned the wrong direction to force the fit. Water in sink had to run for 5 mins before getting hot. The staff were delightful and the pool area was nice. Breakfast was amazing! There was vent outside of our room that was very loud blowing warm air in the hallway.

The hotel was spacious and clean everything up to par

The room was ok. I saw a few stray hairs in the bathroom and shower. My overall stay was ok.

The staff was very nice and professional. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. However, there was a terrible stench as soon as the first set of doors opened, and it carried all the way to the elevators.

Upon arriving I stood at the desk for 10 minutes waiting. The room had not been dusted. Washcloth availability was limited for a room that slept 4. Bathroom linen was changed daily but the tub and sink were not cleaned. I have pictures. Was told management would contact me, but I haven’t heard from them yet and it’s been 3 days. Food was tasteless though the coffee was good. The stay was not worth the money charged.

The room was spotless it was more than I had expected. I appreciate everything about my stay. I look forward to staying there again.

Room was really clean , very comfortable too

The stay was fine once we got situated. We had to switch rooms because the first room door would not lock. We transferred to the 5th floor. The room was nice however there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. A gentleman came and painted over it. The room was suite 504

The carpets were dirty and the paint on the bathroom was falling off the ceiling, wallpaper was peeling off bathroom and the bath tub was rusty. Just no pride in the facility. Staff was rude upon arrival and keys kept not working making it very inconvenient to get in side doors or your room when you had your hands full of stuff

It was a very nice room, very clean and very roomy. Some of the other Hampton Inn’s. I’ve stayed in the rooms were not that big, but their rooms are very roomy. Roomy rooms.

When we arrived on Nov 29, which was my birthday everyone and everything was great. I got to my room it was cold the heating system wasn’t working so I called downstairs. They sent up the front desk clerk who tried to convince us that it was hot in the room. Then he told us he could move us, but it probably would be the Sam way in the other room. So I said I wasn’t moving. Went downstairs to get blanks to cover the heater still it was cold. About 1245am I went back downstairs spoke with the General Manager he came up and tried to do what he could but it was still cold. He removed the face of the heating unit plug in the until and the heater starts to work slow. He asked us did we want to move! My sister said it’s 1am and we are in the bed no we are not moving. He assured us that we would be moving to another room in the morning. He left the system on 72 degrees still blowing out cold air. It wasn’t until I put the heat on 97 degrees that the heat started to come out! We never received a call to be move. I received texts asking how was my stay and still no one said they were moving us.He assured me that I was going to get a discount on my stay. Walking away still paying $400.46 to sleep in the cold and receiving constant lies was ridiculous on my birthday! At check in I was assured that the rooms were renovated. I will never stay at this hotel ever again! When I check out on Sunday the receptionist was nasty as well.

The shower leaked and the bed was too hard

The AC did not work. An attendant came up and put it to fan and told it was working now. 77 degrees. Paid $200 for this. Was cooler outside. Could not open the window. And was told they knew it was a problem in that room. So would not recommend this at all.

A nice quiet Hotel, away from the city crowds with a short walk to the metro station. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. Ruby and Sierra at the front desk were a pleasure to talk to. Only downside was that there wasn't much variety in the breakfast options, which appear to rotate every 3 days.

After returning from an excellent breakfast buffet one morning, we discovered the lock on our room would not let us in. Manager James Hodges was very helpful, finding us a temporary room while we waited for the oncall employee to put on a new lock. Our room was spacious and very clean. Will return.

The staff was amazing and the hotel was extremely clean! Check in & check out was quick and easy. The FREE breakfast was fresh, well stocked & delicious. Lee, Front desk representative went above & beyond to serve me & my family. Phenomenal service! We will return on our next trip to MD

Rude staff, times for the pool were inaccurate, we were were woken up in the middle of the night be a security guard accusing us of smoking. We were made to sign a waiver to get into our room. That's never happened to us during our travel before.

It was a family trip to D.C. When I arrived for check-in, they wouldn't accept my deployed husbands card, that was used to PRE-PAY for our room. He was initially supposed to join us, but ended up deploying. I video called my husband, they would Not accept his verbal ok. It's ridiculous that they wouldn't just use the card that was used to pay for the room, that I had in my hand. I have used the same card for traveling for years. Very poor customer service as well.

Upon arrival the receptionist was very unfriendly and impersonal. She gave me our room key, never gave us directions how to get to our room and didn’t inform us about check out time or any other helpful information about the hotel. Her attitude was nasty and unwarranted.

Our family frequently visits this property and are pleased. Great location with comfortable beds. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It is a little out of the way. Not much around it but two other hotels. It was clean and staff was friendly but they ran out of some breakfast items (juice and yogurt). The indoor pool was pointless since the water was freezing.

I liked the proximity of the hotel to major highways.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. The room was large enough for the entire family. Breakfast each morning was excellent, probably the best hotel breakfast we've had. There was a great selection of hot and cold items, coffee, tea and juice. The refrigerator in the room didn't work great. There was a thick layer of frost on the back and it didn't have a freezer. The last morning the refrigerator was leaking as the frost was melting. It's clearly an ongoing problem because the stand that the fridge was in was damaged. The shower smelled like mildew and the pool was very cold. The staff was friendly. We used the shuttle to go to the Metro station and that was very quick and easy. Overall I definitely recommend.

I had an amazing stay here! Very quiet, extremely clean, up-to-date & can tell the staff takes pride in the upkeep of the property. The free breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at any hotel & I travel A LOT! Will definitely book here next time I’m in town!

Breakfast was supposed to be served from 6-10am. On Sunday we went down for breakfast at 9am and all the containers were empty, we asked for some bagels and were told they had none left. We went to the front desk and complained and they went into the kitchen and got us two bagels.

The breakfast was not good

The bed was comfortable, which is what matters the most to us but we were disappointed in the breakfast that everyone raved about in past reviews. The scrambled eggs were wet and not appetizing at all. The bacon was so hard and crunchy that I almost chipped a tooth on it! I asked if they had another kind of yogurt and was given expired yogurt. The lady who checked us in was not friendly. She didn’t greet me or explain anything to me. She acted like she hated her job. If you hate it that much, don’t work in customer service.

The breakfast is very enjoyable.

The room and facilities were very good, but the breakfast buffer was poor. There was no yogurt, muffins or bread. The bread tray was there, but it was never stocked.
