Quality Inn Vernal near Dinosaur National Monument

It was a nice place to stay. The only two things I have to complain about is there was no parking, because of the lounge and restaurant. They should make a parking area for hotel guests only. Also the house keeping service was a no show the 3 days we were there. Otherwise everything else was great.

Very nice place with friendly staff. Unique to this property is an onsite delicious restaurant, we had the steak and it was soooo good.

Great experience. The Steak house in the motel was excellent and decently priced. The pool and hot tub were in good condition and available 9am-11pm. Breakfast had a great variety and kid friendly.

Quality Inn, Vernal, was not bad IMO. It is an older property and that is clear. To be fair to though, most of the properties in town are older. The newer ones are at least 50% more expensive. It was clear to me that the staff and ownership are trying to do their best with an older property to make it comfortable for guests. Breakfast was good. Waffles, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, juice, coffee, hot cocoa, fruit, as well as burritos and sausage biscuits to warm up. Pretty comprehensive from a nice little buffet. Additionally, there is coffee and hot water for hot cocoa in the lobby so guests can access this outside of breakfast hours of 7-10 am. Walking in I noticed that there were buckets with windshield washing fluid and cleaners. A nice touch for sure showing the intent of the management to think of their guests. Rooms were pretty standard. Nothing special. Good TV with nice selection of channels. You could see the age of the property in the bathroom, but I didn't find it to be bad. Completely acceptable for the price point. Also, our room did have a balcony which was nice for a standard room. Our a/c unit did not work well. When it would come on it was nice and cool, but it was not accurate regarding the thermostat in the unit. Pool and hot tub were nice. They are indoor and were both great temps. Jets worked in the hot tub as well. Because it is indoor it can get loud, but luckily it was not crowded for us. Overall, I would stay again.

Older hotel in need of some renovations but beds were comfy, bedding was very nice. Free breakfast was fine. Very disappointed that pool and hot tub were closed, very disappointed that King size room did not have the large bathtub as pictured on Expedia. We changed hotels for our 2nd night.

Our room was large but shabby, with a loud A/C and unpredictable water temperature in shower and sink. Downstairs is a large restaurant, pretty decent food and service. There is also separate bar with a pool table. The hot tub concrete was peeling. Basically, we prefer to stay in a newer hotel.

I always have a great stay here. The front desk is friendly and the check in is easy, they weren't very crowded. The best part is that they have an amazing steakhouse and bar inside the hotel. The food is really great and they have local beer on tap from the Vernal brewery.

The pool was over chlorinated but other than that it was a great stay

People were friendly and answered questions when asked. The overall establishment was not clean. Going up to the 2nd floor there was something dark on the wall, everything was covered in dust. As I was going back down the stairs there was something coming out of the ceiling on me. I notified a worker and all that was done was towels on the hand rail and buckets below the entire weekend. The carpet was soaked. Overall is was not bad as the room was clean. Would we stay there again, yes.

Hotel was run down, from the rickety elevator to the thin walls. We could hear every car that drove by, every conversation had outside, and we were on the 3rd floor. The lobby was thumping with loud music from the bar. The room was not clean, hair in tub, stains on sheets, dirty bathroom floor. Couldn't request another room because they were full of wrestling teams and families in town for a tournament.

The bedspread was filthy and stained! The blanket was dirty.. stairs going up to my room was covered in mud.. the heater on off button was dirty and the tv remote!! Bathroom was very clean though!

There is a restaurant on site at this hotel, which makes it very convenient. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and well appointed however they were not nearly enough washcloths.

Overall cleanliness. Hair balls in the bathroom stains on bedding and dirt feeling in the hot tub

The property was VERY clean. Even the hallways and the pool area were well taken care of by someone with pride in the environment. Our entire stay waa wonderful. The hot tub was nothing short of pure bliss after being in the car for 16 hours. Absolutely will stay again!

Staff was friendly but that’s about the only positive thing. When we got into our room we immediately notice a pile of cereal on the floor by the nightstand and after we pulled off the sheets from the bed there was crumbs. Upon further inspection we noticed crusty white stains on the skirt around the bed and yellow tint on the sheets. The room was run down, the grout tile and toilet were all stained. Toiletries were sparse for the 2 queen size room and the tv didn’t work plus the remote was dead.

Nice big room, a good night's sleep, and a good restaurant connected to the Inn. My rating on cleanliness was good instead of excellent because of some crumbs and dirt on the stairs.

Nice value for the money. The window squeegee for the car windows is brilliant! Clean, good sized room although the guests above us had a kid running around from 9:00 to 9:30 pm. The internet sign up was a bit convoluted and once connected, very slow. Cell service in the area wasn’t good so hotspot didn’t really help.

Staff was friendly checking in, room was clean, good size, bed was comfortable, hot tub was great, breakfast was okay not the best but okay. Our only issue and complaint was that the room was very hot and the cool air wouldn’t stay on the fan stayed on but didn’t cool the room down at all, the cool would run for a little bit then shut off. We tried to have the window open to cool down the room but it was way too loud being right next to the road. We couldn’t sleep with blankets since it was so hot and were drenched in sweat other than that it was great.

The entire hotel did not have any Shampoo, so they offered extra conditioner. WiFi wasn't working, TV didn't work. The hotel its self seemed tired and needs many renovations.

We stay frequently. Air conditioning can be spotty depending on the room. However always a good value for the stay.

Pro - For a quick stay it was fine. Priced on the lpwwr end. Convenient location near walmart and gas station, has a steakhouse restaurant inside. Cons - Dated rooms, ours had musty smell. Had to have our card reset multiple times each day. Doors had a big gap on bottom. Walls are super thin, you can hear everything in halls and adjoining rooms.

Easy and fast check in. The room was clean and comfortable, great value for the price. The internet was little spotty but still worked decent. I would recommend to a friend and stay again.

The check in was fine. The hotel was another story. The room keys didn't work. Had to swipe and rattle the door a dozen times every time to get into the room. Multiple times had to request help from the front desk and get key cards rekeyed. Every Inch of the bathroom was dirty. There was a water leak in the bathroom. The floor in the room was dirty and looked unvacuumed. They overcharged me for my room and when I called to request a refund I was treated with annoyance, ignorance and was hung up on. I had to deal with a virtual agent online to eventually get the refund issues. Was one of the worst stays I've experienced at a hotel.

Staff did not help with any thing. Was put it in wrong room than we had booked and they wouldn’t correct the problem. Worst service and motel stay ever. Will never stay there again and will definitely not refer anyone.

Great location with a wonderful staff who helped us with directions to a graveyard and museum. On-site restaurant with a hotel discount. Breakfast was huge and had a great variety. Only thing we did not like: the walls and floors are very thin, so we heard the room next door taking a shower at 4:45am.

The front desk clerk was fantastic. Friendly and accommodating.

The Attendant on duty, went above her job, she changed our room, because of a loud guest, who left his TV ON, with the volume on High, it was very loud, the attendant heard it, and she offered to change our room. We checked it on Thursday, May 30th, 2024.

Room smelled bad. Inappropriate language at the front desk between employee and her friend. Rooms need to be updated. Breakfast was great.

We stayed 2 nights… they let us ck in really early! Phil was so nice! He explained the whole area to us and the good eats!

Stayed for a week never once had the garbage emptied. No maid entered the room so no shampoo soap or clean towels. Also there is a steak house and trying to find a place to park is absolutely ridiculous.

Hotel was so noisy right next to a busy road with big trucks rumbling by it felt we were sitting on the road.

Did not care for location, on busy highway. We were booked into the pet facility as we had our small dog. I did an extra fee for the dog, which I expected. We were placed on ground floor. The main area of the room smelled of animals. The bathroom was clean. Will not stay there again.

Staff were attentive and friendly. Hotel was a bit dated, but clean and about what you would expect for a budget hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and have no major complaints, however, the location of the hotel was not our favorite, right off the highway on the edge of town and quite a bit of traffic noise. We would most likely choose another hotel more central to town if we were to stay in the area again.

I liked that it was near shopping areas and had a restaurant on site.

The downside is that it seems to be falsely advertised as the closest hotel near Dinosaur National Monument, when in actuality it seems to be the farthest.

This property was advertised as close to Dinosaur National Park. It is 18 miles from the turn off.

The wifi was out and we received two different stories from the front desk as to y, and they were unable to say when it would be fixed. There was a large group that ate all of the breakfast, so there was no food available There were some frozen biscuits, but the microwave in the breakfast room wasn't working. And we were told that it goes on the fritz, when a lot of people use it. And that it would take half an hour to reset itself. The pool bottom looked really funky so my daughter didn't want to use the pool. But the worst thing was, our room smelled very bad. The hotel complains to be non-smoking. But at some point, someone must have smoked in the rooms because it had a foul, beautiful stale stench, despite the carpet being recently upgraded. The bathrooms were nice modern, but yeah, the bulbs didn't match and the light flickered, with which had a creepy vibe. The next morning, this breakfast was very marginal.

We were in town for a funeral and this hotel served its purpose. It’s not dated and the service we were provided was great. The breakfast was unsatisfactory in my opinion.

Rooms were clean and simple but entire facility was VERY dated. Breakfast was very lacking and unacceptable. We walked to the Maverik gas station and got better breakfast. Definitely NOT worth the ridiculous $200 per night charge.

I really liked the property because it had a restaurant on site that had a good menu and the food was good. As well, the complimentary breakfast was adequate. Beds were too soft.
