If you want more than just a room, experience the uniqueness and hospitality of The Magnolia. The tour of the hotel is very interesting, and every room is unique. It calls itself a B&B, but I would call it a boutique historic hotel with a made-to-order complementary hot breakfast. The in-house restaurant, although pricey, serves excellent dinners in large portions. Typically, hotels are where you sleep on vacation. The Magnolia is a wonderful part of your vacation.

The Hotel Magnolia is such a magical place! From the moment we walked in, Ms. Diana made us feel like we were guests in her home. She greeted us warmly with 2 free complimentary mugs from the hotel and showed us around where they have snacks in case you get hungry, teas, hot chocolate and coffee in case you get thirsty. She also gave us a tour of the cute outdoor pool area and where they have live music in the upstairs bar! She even helped us get a cart to bring our luggage to the room! Our room was charming and they have beautiful outdoor balconies and porches to relax as well. I appreciate that the hotel is non smoking but there are designated outdoor smoking areas. There is also an ice maker and communal fridge in the hallway by our room. And one of the best parts of the stay is the delicious breakfast in the morning that was included in our stay! Ms. Lula was lovely and the hot, homemade breakfast was tasty and such a great way to start our day! It was so lovely meeting the co-owners Ms. Diana and Mr. Kevin! They are the epitome of southern hospitality!

The Hotel Magnolia is a beautiful facility - tall ceilings, wood trim, antiques and chandeliers throughout. We were delighted when the front desk handed us an actual brass key, (not one of those electronic cards). The room itself is quite small - typical for a 115 year old B&B, but it and the bathroom were impeccably clean and neat. The on-site restaurant is also superb. Great value!

My wife and I stayed here on a whim and this was a great choice! No kids or pets allowed, bed and breakfast hotel, walkable to all the things downtown Foley. It is very old, and my wife really enjoyed the history. Food was amazing. We had an amazing quick trip and will plan to stay here again.

We got a tour at check in and staff was super friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean loved the history and antiques. Theres an on-site restaurant and bar. There was live music with dancing which was awesome! We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay here again the next time we come down.

This property is a beautiful historical home in a great location directly across from a park and plenty antique shops within 2 blocks from hotel. Furnishings are exquisite and although the rooms are not as large as newer hotels all amenities were provided. Restaurant on site had great food and breakfast was delicious

Mildew odor permeated room.and hallway. Visible mold on a/c vents. Floor was slanted. Bed was not large enough for a couple. Room is tiny. Bathroom hair dryer not sufficient. Bathtub glazing was flaking off. Shower curtain had mildew. No place to set shampoo or soap for showering. Road noise terrible.A split unit in the hall would help as well as dehumidifier with odor and mildew/mold growth. Hotel itself is beautiful and beautifully appointed. I would come for a drink at the bar but not stay again.

Property was lovely. Welcome was great. However we went to a concert and didn’t arrive until late and discovered we had no sheets on the bed. Found a blanket in closet and slept on that. Also breakfast was fine but didn’t get all of it and some came 10 minutes after we had finished. Hope they can solve these problems

Quaint! Room was very clean. Food and Coffee was amazing. Pool was not clean, Wi-Fi did not work, and did not like Christmas decorations up in June. Two Christmas trees and mantel was decorated for Christmas. Hotel definitely could use a little renovation outside, but still a beautiful place.

The hotel is lovely. The room was clean it was small and could use a chair and some brighter lights. The furnishings were beautiful- a quirky mixture of antiques. The bed was a true queen size and very comfortable. The bathroom was wonderful. Immaculate, large, beautifully finished. The shower was great. The food at breakfast was good. The staff are incredibly friendly. The location is wonderful (VERY safe) and I could talk all day about how good the breakfast was. The rooms were private and each had its own bathroom, which is unusual for a B&B. We stayed in the Azalea room. It was small (probably 10x10) but quaint. My biggest complaints were we had no control over the temperature in the room other than a fan supplied in the room and there was a light right outside of the room that was super bright. The clawfoot tub in the bathroom was nice but if you are not used to them, they have their drawbacks when using them as a shower. I would for sure stay here again, but would splurge for a larger room.

Beautiful, unique, historic property in a cute, fun area on the way to Gulf Shores beaches. I’ve passed by this property for decades & always wondered what it looked like inside. I decided it was time to stay & find out. The staff was very accommodating of a special need we had. They were very knowledgeable & friendly, giving us a tour & telling us the history of the property, which was delightful. We actually stayed in 2 rooms: the Marylyn & the Presidential. They were both stunning and comfortable. The Presidential was quite spacious with its own private entry. If you are light sensitive while sleeping, bring a sleep mask, as laws require there be a lit “exit” sign at the private exit. I knew this & came prepared, and had no issues. Both beds were comfy & we all slept well. The free Southern breakfast was fabulous. We so enjoyed it. Loved the classic car in the parking lot, the decorative iron fencing, the gorgeous period furniture, all the chandeliers, and so much more. I’m so glad we finally stayed in this gem. If I had one request, it would be hotter water to fill the jetted tub in the Presidential suite, because baths are just not that great if they aren’t good & hot 😉

I had been dying to stay at the Hotel Magnolia for years. Every time I came to town to visit family, I would say to myself, why aren’t you staying there?! So this trip I did. And wow, I was not disappointed! We stayed in the Presidential Suite and it is amazing! Highly recommend and we will be back!

We got a tour at check in and staff was super friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean loved the history and antiques. Theres an on-site restaurant and bar. There was live music with dancing which was awesome! We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay here again the next time we come down.

A Historic Hotel. The building is unique. One of a kind. Doors are big and heavy. You may need to call the front desk or knock to enter. Before you check in and get a key. Each room maybe decorated differently. Breakfast was good and served in the dining room. There is a nice park across the street. With a train museum and kiddie train rides.

We were there for three days and loved the hotel! It is old and beautiful; we stayed in the Honeysuckle Room which is small, but all that was available when I booked. My husband and I appreciate the true art of an older home so the small space didn’t bother us. Upon check in we were greeted and given a tour of the hotel with instructions on details we needed to know. We loved the room with comfy bed, the staff were all so friendly, the breakfast was delicious and made to order, coffee and snacks available at any time, had ample street parking and we enjoyed the lounge upstairs with live music where we received a complimentary drink as guests of the hotel. As far as the area is concerned, we felt safe in Foley and Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are only about 15-20 minutes away which is where we spent some of our time. The bridge to get there is $2.75 each way and parking right on the beach was reasonable ranging from $3 for two hours, $5 for four hours or $10 for the entire day. Bathrooms and outside rinse areas made beach going a breeze and much cheaper than staying right in the touristy area. So many cute towns nearby with lots to do. Pensacola, FL is a short 30 minute drive and we loved Fairhope where we found a brewery and enjoyed the town’s First Friday Night of the month event featuring local artists, shopping and live music in the streets. We are in search of a warm weather retirement relocation and Alabama is a top contender!!

The staff are incredibly friendly. The location is wonderful (VERY safe) and I could talk all day about how good the breakfast was. The rooms were private and each had its own bathroom, which is unusual for a B&B. We stayed in the Azalea room. It was small (probably 10x10) but quaint. My biggest complaints were we had no control over the temperature in the room other than a fan supplied in the room and there was a light right outside of the room that was super bright. The clawfoot tub in the bathroom was nice but if you are not used to them, they have their drawbacks when using them as a shower. I would for sure stay here again, but would splurge for a larger room.

Beautiful, unique, historic property in a cute, fun area on the way to Gulf Shores beaches. I’ve passed by this property for decades & always wondered what it looked like inside. I decided it was time to stay & find out. The staff was very accommodating of a special need we had. They were very knowledgeable & friendly, giving us a tour & telling us the history of the property, which was delightful. We actually stayed in 2 rooms: the Marylyn & the Presidential. They were both stunning and comfortable. The Presidential was quite spacious with its own private entry. If you are light sensitive while sleeping, bring a sleep mask, as laws require there be a lit “exit” sign at the private exit. I knew this & came prepared, and had no issues. Both beds were comfy & we all slept well. The free Southern breakfast was fabulous. We so enjoyed it. Loved the classic car in the parking lot, the decorative iron fencing, the gorgeous period furniture, all the chandeliers, and so much more. I’m so glad we finally stayed in this gem. If I had one request, it would be hotter water to fill the jetted tub in the Presidential suite, because baths are just not that great if they aren’t good & hot 😉

My wife and I stayed here on a whim and this was a great choice! No kids or pets allowed, bed and breakfast hotel, walkable to all the things downtown Foley. It is very old, and my wife really enjoyed the history. Food was amazing. We had an amazing quick trip and will plan to stay here again.

We love staying here. They make you feel like home. The location is very close to everything. It is a historic site with amazing details to each room. They have a restaurant that serves fresh steaks and seafood. For breakfast, you have 7 different meals to choose from, which is included. Amazing every time.

If you want more than just a room, experience the uniqueness and hospitality of The Magnolia. The tour of the hotel is very interesting, and every room is unique. It calls itself a B&B, but I would call it a boutique historic hotel with a made-to-order complementary hot breakfast. The in-house restaurant, although pricey, serves excellent dinners in large portions. Typically, hotels are where you sleep on vacation. The Magnolia is a wonderful part of your vacation.
