Blinds didn't work had to call maintenance toilet tissue roll was almost gone should have replaced it. Only had Valet parking and that was overpriced

My hotel room did not lock at all, they moved my quickly but it was a hassle. There is not a parking garage, and valet is $32 a night (the hotel is not that nice). The decore doesn’t make much sense and the breakfast is mediocre at best. The staff, are AMAZING!!!!!

Enjoyed our stay. Would have liked restaurant/bar opened more. Front desk staff were very nice and the valets were quick and very willing to help. The area around the hotel was not great. Not many dining or shopping options within a reasonable walking distance.

Only parking options are valet for $32 extra or park in the street on some very sketchy streets

Front desk staffs were excellent and quick check in and check out. Room was good size and very clean. Breakfast was not that great. Parking is available per Expedia portal so I misunderstood it will be a free self parking but valet parking only. Very expensive. OK, to stay if you dont want to pay too much for one night.

This is the second time staying at this facility and the hotel is great. However, the biggest issue is parking. You can really only valet park and it is fairly expensive!!

The hotel room was clean and the hotel was in a convenient area. There are plenty of stores in the area. Staff was friendly. The only downfall was the restaurant was not opened for food due to a staffing issue.

Dirty I couldn’t even stay there. Between the bugs and the mold I was through… Good luck

Very nice room and clean

We enjoyed our visit. East Liberty’s neighborhood is in transition. It was dirty in the alleys and side streets. The hotel was one of the brighter spots. The decor was charming, but worn out. Our lounge chair was broken and dirty. The room and bath were clean. The TV was too small for the space and hard to see when in bed. The bed was ok, good pillow! Loved the size of the shower and bath in our King Suite. Staff was Amazing! The food was good too. Hats off to the cook! We like the Baker Square town center. It was a lot of fun. The Food was mostly fried , but there were salad offerings. They had a Jeni’s ice cream, but we bailed after standing in line for 40 minutes. We will check back in a couple years.

Bathroom was not very clean.

The restaurant food was excellent. They need extra help though. It took a long time to order and a long time to get our food. The bedskirt on both beds in our room was coming off. The floor was dirty.

The overall cleanliness is below my expectations. There are long hairs on the bathroom floor. Mould in the coffee machine water container is noticeable. There is no room cleaning on the third day of my stay for no reasons. The first day when I went down for breakfast, we were told there was about 45 minutes waiting time. I don’t think we can’t wait for a simple breakfast for 45 minutes. At the last day of my stay when I went downstairs for breakfast, we were told that the chef is on leave. Eventually the hotel managed to served us a cup of coffee and bagel instead. This is really something I never experienced at any other hotel. They charged me over two to three times normal rates simply because the time I booked is school’s graduation season. This is a terrible experience.

Almost no one is smiling! Dirty room, sound more than four cockroaches and dust!! Room service not putting enough toilet paper, papers, or tissues! They did not clean the floors. Some parts of the floor is broken already! No free parking!

The floors were so dirty, our feet were sticking to them. Will stay somewhere else next time.

Excellent spacious room in a prime location walkable to local restaurants and bar scene. I slept very well because it was quiet. All the staff were so kind and greeted me in the hallways, it was a nice touch! I felt welcome and safe as a solo traveler.

The first room I was assigned had an entrance door that was broken. The door could be locked from the inside with some force, however, it did not lock when closed from the outside. The second room was fine, but I never was able to connect to the wifi.

The room was small for the price in my opinion. There was no fridge in the room when I got there and I had to ask for you. The TV was having display issues and the picture was dim and washed out looking. The mattress was not comfortable and left me with joint pain. Also, the bedside clock was not set when we got there. For the price that we paid these are things that I think should have been taken care of before we got there.

First surprise was $32 for valet parking for a one- night stay. Fortunately, one of the valets provided some guidance on finding free on-street parking. The rest of the staff was friendly as well, the room and bathroom were very spacious, and the beds were comfortable (although the frames tended to squeak when we moved around). But the hand-held shower head holder was broken, so the shower head had to be held to be used at all. The toilet would occasionally run on during refill, requiring us to jiggle the handle to get it to shut off. Finally, there were a couple sections where the laminate flooring was buckling.

This hotel seems to be a new property trying to figure out what it is. Our room was huge with 2 queen beds. But it lacked enough "fill" for the space. It was just open space. The decor was new but confused as to what the theme was. The restaurant and bar were large and well decorated but lacked professional staff. The check in clerk seemed pleasant but untrained. The A/C worked but was noisy and let the temperature fluctuate too widely. The window shades kept out the light but the mechanism to lift them did not work. Finally I can't figure out why this hotel is in this location. It seems isolated.

The staff was overall very nice, but this hotel is shockingly shabby, especially for an Indigo. The bed was clean and comfortable but the property felt like a dingy freshman dorm and my room, while large, was pretty rundown. Stains on the walls and all over the furniture, a crooked desk with wobbly legs, and the minifridge was incredibly loud and would wake me up every time it would cycle on in the middle of the night. The bathroom was especially shabby: stained grout, holes in the wall where a towel rack used to be, and multiple types of mold in the shower. There was no bathroom fan, so everything was always damp, and the ceiling sprinkler was just sticking out of a raw-edged hole in the ceiling plaster. NO recycling on premise, which was disappointing. There's also a restaurant across the street that had a DJ every night on their patio, blasting music well past 1am on multiple weeknights to a crowd of literally no one – not a single bar patron, just some DJ doing a set for himself, apparently, at club-level decibels that were definitely well above the city's night time rules. This isn't the hotel's fault, of course, but you'd think management would have worked something out with the restaurant since this seemed to be a regular occurrence and a huge disturbance to guests. All in all, I usually love staying at Hotel Indigo properties, but I would not stay here again unless the hotel is able to do some much-needed upkeep and refurbishment.

Tinisha (front desk) and Rico in the restaurant are absolute GEMS. So kind, warm and inviting. I could not say enough great things about both of them.

Front desk was super welcoming. Shelly in the bar was AMAZING. Super busy Tuesday night and was one step ahead of all guests needs all night. Friendly and exceptionally professional. All staff I encountered were perfect

Poor service at front desk

Sometimes the staff turns the experience into 5 stars. This hotel is actually really nice as it is, but the staff seem to go out of their way to make sure you have a welcoming reception and a stress-free stay.

We booked two rooms and neither was ready at the 3pm check in time. Both rooms were not ready until 4pm. Front desk was not helpful.

The stay was very good. Our television did not work at all, and the technician was unable to help us. We also found that a light in our room was broken, and the bulb section was hanging out of it. Just some things that showed a little bit of wear and tear that should have been fixed. The bartender in the restaurant was over-the-top attentive and willing to please as was the staff at the front desk.

Excellent staff. They were all super friendly and helpful.

Super friendly staff

We had to stay in the area due to my husband needing a medical procedure that spanned a few days but did not require hospitalization. We saw a few unfavorable reviews of this property and the staff but we liked the location and decided to chance it. The lady at the front desk was couldn’t have been nicer. She let us check in a little early after I explained my husband’s situation and him needing to rest. Everyone from the Valet, the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance greeted us with a smile and hello. The Valet explained to me where I could park so we didn’t have to pay for parking. Plus we would have been going in and out a lot due to my husband’s appointments. The restaurant staff were equally as nice and accommodating. The room was clean, had some normal wear and tear but the front desk explained they’ve been there 10 years and are going to be getting a full renovation starting this December. All in all a great stay during a fairly stressful time for our family.

Close to UPMC. Property was clean and you can walk to shopping and dining facilities.

Convenient location and while area can be sketchy, people are mostly nice and polite. Hotel perfect for quick trips with nice staff and clean rooms.

Around property is not so clean and make I feel unsafe.

Great Location, nice Hotel reasonably priced

The room was comfortable and modern with a nice sized bathroom. Close to cafe, restaurants, groceries and public transportation. The only drawback was limited on-street parking if you want to avoid the valet charges.

Great location for our visit

The location is great with plenty of buses to downtown Pittsburgh as well as several dining options within walking distance.

Love the location - easy street parking, close to Shadyside & short drive to CMU. If you go a few more streets down it's not the very best of Pittsburgh, but we felt perfectly safe.

It was fantastic! Slept like a baby and forgot I was there on business. Bathroom was huge and the room was cozy. I will say I had the BEST Pancake at the restaurant downstairs. Highly recommended!!

The stay was fine. Front desk representative was very nice BUT breakfast was not available and NOT REFUNDED! Arrived during a power outage but the AC worked which was nice. Valet parking for $32 is bananas especially when public parking was found directly in front of the hotel. There is a mysterious charge on my account and when I called was told I’d get a call back and still have not received a call back

Nice property. Friendly front desk. Disappointed that we had to request wash cloths and towels because housekeeping did not sufficiently stock bath. Restaurant. Placed our order and after 25 minutes no meals and no sign of server. We asked hostess the status. When she inquired in kitchen our meal was not yet being prepared. BTW only two other couples were in the restaurant so the issue was not that there was too many customers.

Convenient for Phipps and Frick. Valet parking not inexpensive but very quick & convenient. Mostly friendly staff. Poor house keeping - 2 days incomplete towels and coffee supplies, 3rd day no service at all! Breakfast buffer limited - hot food good but no cereals, no fresh fruit, no yoghurt.

If you’re thinking about getting the additional breakfast, don’t even bother. The kitchen staff are horrible and don’t wanna do their jobs. Don’t waste your time sitting there and just go get food somewhere else.

The room was nice, but the shower was difficult to figure out and operate, especially with soapy hands, and you occasionally get scalding water coming out. Breakfast was terrible. Coffee was Luke warm, eggs overcooked, and when I asked for catsup and hot coffee, we never received hot coffee, and the catsup came after we finished breakfast. To get coffee in the morning in the lobby was a joke. When there is someone available, and they are paying attention, you can have them get you a coffee. You can’t get your own. There are other hotels in the area. I would suggest trying one of them.

Restaurant service was terrible. Walked out on Saturday morning since no server came to our table after 20 minutes despite repeated effort to get someone to help us. Sunday morning we got there earlier which helped some. When breakfast food did finally arrive it was hot and flavorful. People were waiting 20 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. Don’t plan to eat there if you need to be somewhere else at a specific time. Room was ok but wall heating doesn’t ever cycle off. Real irradiating. Will not stay there again.
