Checking in to this location was confusing. We waited for about 20 minutes outside until we finally saw the hotel staff/receptionist. She kept saying going "Go to Scala 2 Floor 3", which was impossible if the large outer door is locked and closed. We were unable to access the building. She seemed irritated that we didn't get the memo. They need to be clear about opening the front door and letting people in. The room smelled a bit like a wet rag but generally seemed fine. There were some inconsistencies with their signage and information they provide in the room about the wifi (it has a different name, but same password) and the sign to "Do Not Disturb" was unavailable. We messaged Flaminia that we did not want to be disturbed or have anyone clean our room. She messaged okay and to turn off the AC (which is a weird request for guests, but I guess they're trying to save energy). She said she would bring a Do Not Disturb sign for us, but it never came. When we returned to the room, we noticed that someone had entered the room and left a note on the table stating to leave 24 Euros to cover hotel fees in cash upon checkout. I did not like this violation of privacy at all and felt very uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay.

Great location. Pretty easy in and out. Room had a dank smell. The bed was super lumpy and used a top sheet instead of a fitted one. The power went out a couple times at night. The shower drain would back up, and the water was cold in the evenings for a shower. Not filthy but didn’t feel clean. It was ok.

Great location and value for your money just follow the check in step by step instructions and you should have no problems. The front desk has limited business hours but you can always get assistance through the what’s app text. I recommend the property a mix of old Rome with a modern flare
