We just loved everything about this resort. The pool is oceanfront. As is the restaurant. It’s just a beautiful hotel that is very well located along the beach. We checked out the Hyatt and the InterContinental hotels nearby, but for a number of reasons we decided to go back to this hotel. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and friendly, and we give it our highest recommendation.

A nice hotel with a good location in Sanur. Very modern in style so you have to like that modern touch. The room is large and nice and very clean. The food at the hotel is really good at all restaurants and at the breakfast buffet. Despite all the positive things, we still think there were some things that disappointed us. The service level is below standard for similar hotels in Bali and generally in the East. We had to discuss a problem we had with half board and I had to spend half an afternoon myself solving the problem where I finally got it right. The fitness is fine but clearly on the small end with old machines. Again a big disappointment compared to simular hotels in Bali. We have traveled a lot in Bali and the East and this hotel pretends to be bigger than it can ever live. The staff is friendly but cannot be compared to the service level at other similar hotels I ball.

Great quality hotel. Staff are very good. There was a small mixup with our rooms and the staff went above and beyond to resolve it. Our 2nd stay there and we will be back. Loved the tree top bar. Cocktails with uninterrupted views of the ocean.

Beautiful looking hotel in a great area in sanur . Friendly staff and lovely new and clean rooms . We sadly did not feel that it felt 5 stars and has some improvements to make . - the lagoon pool can only be used by guests in the lagoon rooms and this is not advertised clearly on their website - the Main pool is packed and does not provide rest , it also was so cold that we could not swim in it which we have not had at a hotel before. - the family pool does not get much sun and is freezing cold . - cocktails were very watered down compared to other places . If they had an adults pool and heated it , I would consider returning .

9 von 10 Punkten. Super Lage, alles sauber und tolle Aufteilung der Anlage. Zusatz Angebote (cooking class) sehr gut organisiert. Lage der Tree Bar einmalig, Infinity Pool sensationell. Das Highlight sind die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant, besonders beim Frühstück wird sehr herzlich jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Aber jeder, auch Housekeeping, reception, etc sind mega freundlich und Grüßen immer. Warum dann nur 9 von 10? Die Auswahl beim Frühstücksbüffet ist etwas begrenzt, vor allem die asiatischen Speisen. Das Gym hätte mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient und könnte neue Geräte gebrauchen.

Outstanding resort that's not too big. Loved the lagoon pool. Had a ground floor room and walked straight out the sliding door into the pool.The housekeeping and maintenance people are doing a fantastic job as this place is spotless everywhere. The breakfast was varied and of excellent quality. Loved the food and drinks at the Tree Bar, and the live music every night. Not many people on the beach and had it all to ourselves. Not surprisingly, all the staff were lovely and eager to assist anyway they could. Highly recommend the Maya. See you next time.

Overpriced and over rated. Big noisy resort, not much beach. Staff are good but doesn’t make up for the cost. Room was okay but not worth the $$$$, especially when other smaller resorts are much nicer and 1/3 of the cost. Only 10 years old but starting to get run down, especially the pool area.

Construction outside the room during the day. Not great for couples, lots of children in every pool including right outside the pool access rooms. Ants in the room, and black flies on the patio due to sandpit. Great for families, not so great for luxury or honeymoon.

Hotel was exquisite. Beautiful design, room was comfortable and well presented, it would have been nice if the TV was smart to allow for casting content., although we didn't spend much time in the room. Happy hour and dinner by the pool was a favour of my family with two young girls. They swam and ate until the pool closed at 8pm (it would have been nice of this was open to later). The staff were friendly and helpful. There were bicycles to borrow for a ride along the beach pathway which extended for several kilometres infront all the hotels and residences. The beach was clean but the 'lagoon' wasn't for snorkelling, I would have liked this more if I could snorkel directly from the hotel. But the trip to Nusa Penida was quite quick from the hotel, where snorkeling is better. Many restaurants outside the hotel with Spa and little boutique stores/ gift shops along the way. A bit dissapointed after our stay. The check in was average, staff were a bit dismissive. Our room wasn't ready which was fine so we had our welcome drink which was fermented pineapple and was disgusting - rethink you're welcome drink. Got the room on the far end of the pool right next to the restaurant which would have been great if the room had have been sound proofed. Woken at 5am to staff getting ready for breakfast wheeling trolleys in the hallway and even on the pool deck outside the room. The deck was getting some much needed attention with a guy hammering nails outside our room at 6am .. Impossible to sleep. Spa treatment was just terrible. Other than those things, the beds were good, the restaurant meals were lovely, the breakfast was great and the bar area overlooking the beach was nice and made good margs. Would I stay again? Probably not.. I may come and dine here tho.

This felt like a true 5 star hotel, there were people playing instruments in the lobby, service was great, sun beds had table service. Rooms were very nice. However what let it down for us was that the showers had no hot water. We only stayed 1 night and were trying to get ready before going out for food so didn’t call reception to try and fix. So this was a shame.

Room layout and comfort (nest suite) was fabulous but was let down by needing attention and repairs to closet area. Sliding door and drawers could not be used. Our stay was short but lack of attention to basic functionality in that area was disappointing.

Rommene og Hotellet generelt har høy standard, og betjeningen er veldig hyggelige og imøtekommende. Vær oppmerksom på at 80% av rommene med Wonderful Garden View standard er connecting rooms. Vi oppdaget raskt at det var veldig lydt mellom rommene og gjorde betjeningen oppmerksom på at dette ikke fremkom tydelig hverken hos Hotels.com eller på hotellets egen nettside. Betjeningen var som sagt veldig hyggelige og oppgraderte oss til Impressive Nest Suite standard uten ekstra kost for oss. Kan absolutt anbefale dette hotellet. Flotte fasiliteter og topp service. Det var noen solsenger på stranden foran hotellet, men ikke så behagelig å ligge der siden stranden skrånet ganske mye ned mot sjøen. Ellers veldig fin strand.

Die Zimmer sind toll und groß, jedoch haben uns die an der "Lagune" befindlichen Zimmer (also die unteren und teureren) nicht so gut gefallen, da sie eher dunkel sind und man von gegenüber direkt hineinsehen kann. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, aber die Atmosphäre auch hektisch und laut. Der Strand eignet sich nicht zum Schwimmen, da das Wasser fast immer viel zu niedrig ist. Die Mitarbeiter sind grandios freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Incredible stay! Staff are so attentive and personable. We came down for breakfast on our second morning and was greeted with them remembering our room number and names! Just so lovely. Pool is also really nice and rooms are spacious and immaculate.

I would love to rate the hotel 6 out of 5 if I could. I had a fall, and I was swarmed by staff immediately. A wheelchair appeared out of nowhere and a nurse came to check what damage was done. I didn't have to wait long for the doctor who gave me stitches. The duty manager was also present, and they sent away for something for me to eat and drink. There was also follow-up from the nurse a couple of days later when she redressed the wound. We have stayed at Maya many times before, and apart from wonderful rooms and amazing staff, this only confirms what exemplary service they provide. This time we had other family members with us, and they absolutely loved the hotel. But all they were blown away by how well I was looked after. It's a given that we can't wait until our next visit. Thank you everyone.

今回は約7年ぶり2度目の宿泊でした。ほとんどのスタッフの方は親切でホスピタリティ溢れるサービスでした。立地もとても良いです。気になったのは、時々こちらから挨拶をしても無視するスタッフがいたり、チェックアウト時に急かされたり、カードがオーバーリミットで使えないなど不正確な情報を伝えられ、困惑した事です。実際にはカードに問題はなくお支払いできました。スタッフの方々基本的にはとても良い方々ですがチェックアウト時の対応は5星とは少しかけ離れていたかと思います。

It is in a quiet-er area of Sanur on a street filled with shopping, massage and dining options. Staff was very nice. Hint: for transportation, instead of using hotel-arranged expensive option, use Grab an Uber-like app used in Indonesia as well as Singapore

And of course, drinks at the Tree Bar with snacks on the beach? The perfect way to spend a sunset in Bali. It really doesn’t get better. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be booking the Lagoon Room again—highly recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape in Sanur.

Amazing holiday- can’t recommend Maya enough! It was my second visit and already thinking about the next holiday there! The Spa is amazing, great variety of dining options and helpful staff!

🌴 발리 사누르 마야리조트(Maya Resort) 솔직 후기 “지극히 개인적인 경험을 바탕으로 작성한 리얼 후기입니다.” 이번 발리 여행에서는 사누르 지역의 마야리조트에서 스위트룸을 이용했습니다. 5성급이라는 기대감이 있었지만, 실제로 경험해보니 장점과 단점이 매우 분명한 리조트여서 솔직하게 후기 남깁니다. --- 🔥 체크인 로비 첫인상: 덥고 답답함 로비에 들어서자마자 에어컨이 없어서 상당히 덥습니다. 공기 흐름도 잘 안 되어 있어 체크인 시간 동안 꽤 불편했어요. 실링팬이라도 있었으면 좋겠다는 생각이 들 정도였고, 5성급 호텔의 쾌적함과는 다소 거리가 있습니다. 직원들은 5성급 기준에서 무난한 친절함. 특별히 좋지도, 나쁘지도 않은 딱 기본 정도의 서비스였습니다. --- 🏡 스위트룸 장점: 넓고 수영장 직결이라 놀기 좋음 제가 묵은 풀 액세스 스위트룸은 방이 넓고 바로 수영장과 연결되어 있어 아이 없이 물놀이를 즐기기에는 정말 편리한 구조입니다. 프라이빗함도 어느 정도 있고, 방 컨디션 자체는 나쁘지 않은 편이에요. --- ⚠️ 어린 아이 있는 가족이라면 스위트룸 비추천 이 부분은 꼭 강조하고 싶어요. 스위트룸 앞 수영장은 길게 뻗어있는 구조인데, 수심이 약 1.2m로 낮지 않습니다. 어린 아이들은 발이 닿지 않을 수 있고, 안전요원이 따로 없어서 계속 감시해야 할 정도로 위험한 상황이 발생할 수 있습니다. 👉 아이와 함께라면 스위트룸은 추천하지 않습니다. --- 😓 방 상태: 눅눅함 + 빨래 덜 마른 냄새 수영장과 직접 연결된 구조라 그런지 방 전체가 눅눅합니다. 특히 베개에서 빨래가 제대로 마르지 않은 듯한 냄새가 나서 불편했어요. 습도에 민감한 분들은 꽤 신경 쓰일 수 있는 부분입니다. --- 🐜 개미와 벌레 문제 음식 흔적을 조금이라도 남기면 순식간에 개미들이 몰립니다. 테라스, 방, 수영장 모두 예외 없이 개미천국이 돼요. 또한 자고 일어나면 벌레에 물린 자국이 모두에게 생길 정도로 벌레가 많았습니다. 이 부분도 리조트의 큰 단점 중 하나입니다. --- 🍳 조식: 5성급 호텔 기준 최악 가장 충격이었던 건 조식입니다. 국수 요리는 정말 맛이 없습니다. 심지어 다른 리뷰들도 국수 최악이라고 동일하게 평가할 정도로 일관됨 밥과 함께 먹을 수 있는 요리가 거의 없음 무난했던 메뉴는 계란, 빵, 과일 정도 동남아 여러 여행지를 다녀봤지만, 이곳은 조식 만족도가 가장 낮았습니다. 🌴 Honest Review of Maya Resort Sanur, Bali “Based on my personal experience during my stay.” During my recent trip to Bali, I stayed at Maya Resort Sanur in a Pool Access Suite. Lovely hotel but gluten free options sadly lacking for all meals and non existent for the included afternoon tea …. Menu very restricted and repetitive overall so recommend eating elsewhere

The hotel is well-located and well set-up. However, I do think that it is slightly overpriced and the food is also quite expensive. Staff were really nice though and the pool area was also nice.

This hotel was perfect for a 4 day stay. Yes we wished it were longer! Amazing staff, wonderful food, rooms immaculate and spacious. Loved breakfast, evening drinks and pools. Decor is tasteful and the feeling of staying in a garden was wonderful. Any areas for recommendations? Well not really but maybe some artwork to brighten up the dark covered walkway passage to the breakfast location, and perhaps a pop-up bar at the ‘Family pool’ which was empty with families and kids preferring the main pool contrary to the pool ‘rules / guidelines’. Overall, loved it and would return!

Outstanding resort that's not too big. Loved the lagoon pool. Had a ground floor room and walked straight out the sliding door into the pool.The housekeeping and maintenance people are doing a fantastic job as this place is spotless everywhere. The breakfast was varied and of excellent quality. Loved the food and drinks at the Tree Bar, and the live music every night. Not many people on the beach and had it all to ourselves. Not surprisingly, all the staff were lovely and eager to assist anyway they could. Highly recommend the Maya. See you next time.
