Enjoyed my stay in all. Room was quiet and comfortable. Continental breakfast was good. I would have liked to have coffee available in room and the parking area snow removal done. It was dangerous walking to and from property with the ice and snow.

Mid day checkin, no staff at counter. They were sleeping and as directed we had to use a lobby phone to call the front desk to wake them? Room did NOT feel secure. Still used locks requiring actual keys and our key barely worked. Staff had to tell us how to hold the key at a certain angle to actually make it work in the lock. The room itself was very clean and beds were average for comfort. Furniture was all very dated. Only one plug in of the two plug electrical outlet worked by the bed which seemed like a fire hazard?! Breakfast was ok. Cereal, muffins, toast, some fruit and yogurt. Overall its condition matched the price which was cheaper than most other hotels/inns/motels in the area I guess.

This hotel is a hidden gem, the owner is very kind and welcoming. The hotel and room was very clean. The breakfast was way more then we expected and very fresh! Lots of parking and easy to get to. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you 😊

Our stay was okay. They moved rooms around so we could be next to our friends, which was really nice of them. There were just a few small things. The bags for ice were much too small for the buckets and for the ice. The lobby bathroom had no toilet paper or soap. The breakfast nook is an old room turned into a breakfast area (great idea, but pretty tight for the number of people that were in there). Emergency exit doors at each end of the hallway were propped open most of the time, and one was open all night. Our room smelled like it had been smoked in and the first floor smelled like it had been smoked in overnight. During breakfast the woman working came in and told us to check our beds because she’d found bedbugs this morning.

Our stay at South Hill Motor Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. We found cockroaches and bedbugs on the mattress and under the bed, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel. When we contacted Hotels.com about this issue, all they offered was a measly $25 refund—not even a full refund for the booking. Adding insult to injury, the front desk lady blamed us, claiming that the roaches were attracted by berries we brought into the room. For the record, those berries remained in the fridge the entire time. I am outraged by this experience and strongly advise against staying here.

Room was clean and the beds were comfy but the sink was outside of the bathroom. When using that sink there was a bit of a partition but when you turned the light over the sink on it bothered anyone sleeping. There was also absolutely no privacy at the sink. At the very, very least they should extend the partition to the ceiling so you could kind of use it without bothering anyone else quite so intensely. Just a bad design. Wouldn’t stay again for this reason.

At first observation, I felt like the dude and his family at some random motel in the middle of nowhere in a horror flick, the inside has not been updated probably from 80's, after 10mins of being in our hotel rooms and jokes aside of being killed by zombies, the bed was quite comfortable, tv was led flat screen, breakfast was great selection with many items purchased as Costco, boiled eggs where made fresh and was warm, only thing that annoyed me was there was a second floor and we were on the main, you can hear all the foot steps and squeaks from the floor at 3:30am for about half hour, I imagine they were oil workers getting ready to leave work, day before breakfast for the family of 6 cost me $50, so I take that into consideration for motel stayed at night before at the same rates, ask for rooms to be on second floor, if I stay again I would do that..Asian owner was very friendly.. I know some of these things are beyond control, I couldn't hear any noise from two rooms attached and they were occupied

This is a great little place for the price! We stayed for 2 nights, everyone was super friendly, the breakfast area had a decent spread. 3 minutes from westerner park. The only things that bring it down from a 5 star from my personal preference is our non smoking room smelt like smoke, the walls are paper thin & you can hear people walking above you, there was no clothing iron, & the outlets seemed old (the fridge froze all of our food and the microwave didn’t heat very well). Other than that, the lady at the front was all smiles and it was a good place for us to rest our heads!

My wife and I stayed here while attending a conference at the Westerner Exposition Centre nearby. I cannot say enough about the staff! They were so wonderful!! We arrived late on a Friday night and my wife wanted to take a bath, but the plug was not sealing well enough for the tub to fill up. I went to the front desk and the lady there had new plugs ready to go for us. Later that same night my wife realized she forgot her toothbrush, and again the lady at the front had toothbrushes to give - not even for purchase, she just gave them to us for free! The cleaning staff was friendly, and I'm pretty sure there were only two or three employees running the entire hotel, which makes it even more impressive! The breakfast was good and quickly refilled when low on product, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and quaint. We had an actual key to open our hotel room door! The beds were very comfortable, there was a fridge available for our use, lots of room, good heating and cooling system, all for less than $150 for two nights total! I will definitely be staying here again.

Owner/manager/front desk staff was very annoyed at me during check in because I interrupted their TV show. I felt safe sleeping in the rooms/room was fine but I did not feel safe to leave any valuables in the room/didn't trust that they would be there when I got back. Good if you're looking for a budget place to stay but I would keep your valuables on your person if you're going to stay here.

Very nice front desk staff! The area is kind of hard to get to, though, unfortunately. Lots of one way streets, roundabouts and no direct access to the road the hotels and businesses are on in this area. Had to drive PAST the hotel several times when out and about before being able to get to it due to lack of access streets. On a main freeway too so quite noisy outside, but inside the building isnt too bad. Room is spacious and clean.
