Great value for the location. I’ve been staying here for years now, around 3-4 times a year. The only downside (still and has been for years) is that the wifi (on your phone) is unreliable unless you are near your room door.

Wifi was so slow. I even had to go out and use the street free wifi, which was so much faster. Otherwise, location was close to Ginza. As expected, the room was a little small but managable.

Perfect location as it is walkable to tokyo station and other stations, perfect for shopping around ginza (uniqlo, muji, itoya), quiet and safe neighbourhood. Cleaning service was provided everyday. Downside is they don’t have laundry machines on site. Need to walk quite a bit to do laundry. It is very compact hotel like other Japanese hotels but nice facility.

受付が外国人でしたが、大変流ちょうな日本語で対応もしっかりしていました。地方から出てきたのですが、そうそう沢山荷物を抱えたくなかったので着替えもほとんど持たずの状況でした。できればコインランドリーくらいは常設して頂かないと、不便でした。結局、汗をかいたインナーを捨て、コンビニで下着などを購入する羽目になりました。ご検討下さい。

Hotel conditions are fair. Staff services are excellent. Location is very convenient. Family Mart is just around the corner. Many eateries nearby. We stayed for 8 nights in a double bed room and a twin beds room. Room size is reasonable. They clean the room daily. They don’t have coin laundry in the hotel but there are two public coin laundry nearby so is not a problem if you have a longer stay. Would come back to this hotel on future visits.

Great value for the Ginza area. Nice and clean hotel for the value. The staff was professional and courteous. A major complaint is the wifi. Hotel Wi-Fi was very weak and unreliable.

The staff were very efficient and helpful. The elevators were very slow and often full, so it was a bit inconvenient coming and going. Our room was fine and had essential amenities. Layout of the room was not as efficient as other hotel rooms of similar size I've stayed in, so it was a bit of a challenge accessing our luggage (2 carry-on rolling suitcases). This is a fine hotel someone looking for a budget hotel in the area, but there was nothing in particular to recommend.

The staff were great, warm helpful and friendly. I’ve stayed at Hotel Sunroute Ginza many times before, but this time it was a bit disappointing. The room during check in wasn’t completely clean — there were a few strands of hair in the toilet. The room also shows signs of decay; mould was growing on the walls. However the next day after cleaning it was better (I appreciate the daily thorough cleaning as opposed to minimal housekeeping in other hotels). Another minor issue was the lack of a smart TV (so I couldn’t log on to my Netflix account). I love the location of this property and i really hope they gradually upgrade their rooms to keep up with the wear and tear.

We booked two rooms that were both dirty. I walked into the toilet and immediately spotted pee droplets under the toilet basin. The room reeked of pee. There were hairs on the bed and brown splatter stains on the wall. I told the staff about the toilet and the front desk staff came in with a bucket for cleaning and she asked me where. She wiped where i pointed but she didn’t even wipe the whole thing. The obvious dried up pee stains on the floor were still there. In the end i asked to be moved to another room with the help of expedia customer service. I was brought into another room that was slightly cleaner but still smelled like pee in the toilet. The room however smelled like mens aftershave. It was much more tolerable but I worried that even that room was not cleaned because of the men’s perfume that lingered. When I went down to lobby I heard the front desk staff talking about me in japanese and how I was the person that complained about the room. I always feel bad for complaining but that whole experience just left a sour taste in my mouth. I’d still pick this over APA but if I had to choose I won’t go to either. Maybe other Sunroute hotels have better cleanliness and reception but not this one.

Internet much better now. Used to need to be near the door to use wifi, but now able to at desk. Japanese staff very professional as usual. Still the same mold around tub’s overflow and bidet area, but if you can’t overlook those, great value for location and service.

It is the first time we booked a smoking room. It turned out to be a big problem. The room was so dirty, with all yellowish stains on the window and bathroom curtains and on the walls and dusty in the bathroom cup tray. It looks the room was not cleaned for a while. The staff tried to find a better room for us but all of them are dirty, even a non smoking room. Another issue is the hotel doesn't even give a bottle water. Guests have to purchase on their vending machine. Cannot imagine how the previous reviews are good. ?! Fake? When we tried to cut the stay a few days shorter the hotel was reluctant. So we had to contact Expedia to get the issue settled. The hotel really need to be thoroughly cleaned and updated because those rooms are simply a shame especially in Japanese standard.

Overall the hotel was fine. Great location and good price. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was tiny and the bathtub had a super high side to it. Getting to shower was hard if you are have a hard time lifting your legs high.

Basic hotel in great convenient Ginza location. Staff was extremely helpful with everything we needed. By U.S. standards, rooms are very small with no closets. The wall between the bathroom and bedroom has a long translucent that was lets a lot of light into the room when somebody uses the bathroom in the middle of the night potentially waking others in the room.

Short answer, YES I will book here again.) It’s an 8 minute walk for me and my 7 year old son from Uniqlo and Muji in Ginza. It’s near a train station. There are convenience stores nearby. It’s a quiet hotel near the action of Ginza. Very nice staff. The hotel room is always clean when we get back at night after a long day. The price is good for a hotel with a good location. The room size is small but that is not unusual for a hotel in Tokyo.

Great location, lots of great shopping, and food closeby. Easy access to mulitple subway lines. Close to Lawson, Family Mart, and 7 Eleven snd a really nice laundrmat too. Dated hotel, needs updates. Especially climate control.

10 min walk to Tokyo station. Get an Uber if you have lots of luggage. If not just walk. Small but clean room. Had three carry ons. Had to open one at a time but it was doable. The bathroom doesn’t have a vent so it gets foggy in there. The wallpaper seems to be peeling off the wall in the room because of that.

Hotel Sunroute Ginza was safe and quiet. We stayed there for two nights. It is a business hotel so the room we booked was a little smaller than what my husband and I expected, however, overall we had a wonderful stay. Watanabe san at the front desk was very helpful as we were checking out when my husband and I decided to send our luggage using the Takkyubin to our next destination.

We have stayed at Sunroute Shinjuku and Sunroute Ginza is not even close to Sunroute Shinjuku. Lobby is tiny. Carpet does not look very clean, especially the edges - lot of dust/dirt. One of the male staff at front desk is rude.Did not get his name but said he is from Myanmar. The rest of the staff are friendly and polite. Most like stay in Shinjuku Sunroute in the future.

Staff reached out to me a day before check in to inquire about my arrival, a nice touch in my opinion. They were able to hold our bags before check in and after check out. I paid for breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was a good deal in my opinion. Some staff spoke English, all were courteous. Hotel is close to shopping if that’s what you like, for me the access to the subway and trains was a plus. Room was nice, not too small and clean.

Located in the heart of the Ginza Shopping District, this is an area where everyone who visits Tokyo should explore. A 10 minute walk from the Main Train Station and an easy walk to the Fish Market. This clean hotel was value priced and a great place to stay.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, the room is a little small but there was a small couch and chair, a fridge, and 2 beds, it's comfy. Love the location, subway stations are close-by and within several minutes walkjng distance. It's very close to Ginza shopping area and Imperial Palace.

A clean hotel. Friendly staff. Extremely small rooms. Breakfast is good, lots of options but the breakfast area (which is at the lobby Italian restaurant) is very small so sometimes I need to wait for a table before I can sitting down for breakfast. If you don't the small room and breakfast condition mentioned, it is a nice hotel to stay at.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast service started at 6:00 am which was great. Most restaurants in the area don’t open until 10:30 or 11:00. We ate at many restaurants near the hotel for lunch. All were great. The train and subway lines were convenient but the stairs into the station got difficult after a week. Use escalators when you can. You’ll get enough walking. There are two coin laundries within walking distance of the hotel, so you can bring fewer clothes. Our room was a good size for a Japanese hotel. They do have bigger rooms but we didn’t need more space. Housekeeping keep the room spotless. We would stay there again.

The rooms are so much smaller than in the pictures. Booked a room for my partner and I, and the space barely fit the two of us. Not bad at all if you know what you are getting, just expect a crazy small space. The bathroom in the room was nice though. I had mixed experiences with the staff - some were helpful and friendly but some were rude, they also took forever to do tasks. The breakfast was terrible. Area in Ginza was amazing, very convenient and walkable!

3泊しましたが、終始とても快適に過ごすことができました。スタッフの方の対応も迅速で助かりました。朝食に1階のレストランを利用しましたが、メニューも豊富で良かったです。ただ厨房の中の声や利用者の方の声が賑やかでしたので、落ち着いて食事をしようと思うと時間帯を考慮すると良いと思います。
