The property itself was nice and the front desk staff were amazing. The issue was with parking. The attendant was extremely rude from the start and the pricing was not as advertised on expedia. They charge 35 a night but said my Jeep was an oversized vehicle so we were required to pay 45 plus a service fee of 5 dollars. Then each time we came back to park the attendant would come and ask us to pay again and we had to show the ticket from when we paid. Hotel is conveniently located and pretty good for the price as long as you dont have to park.

Najay was the young man whom check me in. He was friendly and and willing to help with any request outside of check in. Jay the night auditor was so funny and friendly. I was afraid to walk outside at 5am to my car and he walked with me to my car. Jay and Najay represented sleep in customer service and excellent 100%. However the breakfast was Disappointing; Sleep-In is known for there continental breakfast. The information about parking is inaccurate. The fee for parking is $35 not $25. The parking attendant was very intentional about his job and parking. I thought it was included in my payment when I paid online only to find out that was not the case. Customer alert there is an additional fee if you pay with credit card.

Area around the hotel seemed a little sketchy when we arrived at night, but was ok during the day. Great proximity to the historical sites of Philly, and especially liked how close it was to Reading Terminal Market - great place to eat and walk thru. Continental breakfast was VERY basic, but clean and plentiful. Parking was actually 45 a night.

It's right in Chinatown so if you like Chinese food, you would be happy here. Parking is rigt next to the hotel for $35 a day not $27 like their website said. Overall, I would say it is good value for the money.

The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us good recommendations of good places to eat. The breakfast in the hotel was good, and the dining area was clean, although there were not many protein options. The one thing I found to be less pleasant is the parking situation. While I felt like my car was safe, the cars were crammed together, and I had to wait for a while for the parking employee to unstack and move enough cars for me to be able to get my car out of the lot. Great hotel for the price. Location is very central and close to a lot of things; you can walk to most historic sites, but don't bring a car. Use Uber, taxis, or the close, convenient public transit, or walk.

I stayed there three days. Every single interaction with parking people was abrupt, rude, and loud with little patience for a driver trying to safely get in a parking lot in an extremely busy area of Philadelphia. I dreaded every time I had to go out to my car because I had to interact and someway or another with the parking attendant again. Parking is the reason why I will never stay there again.

The staff personnel Iyonna and Nizja were amazing! You will have to pay for parking which will run about $110 with card payment for three days. The location is close to a lot!

The man at the reception desk was playing pool on his phone, barely looked at me and mumbled his way through the conversation. The carpets were stained throughout the facility, the whole place smelled dank. There was no hand soap in my room at all. The tv randomly turned on and off all light and several lights in the room flickered often. It’s called Sleep Inn, but the floors and walls are so thin that even mild movements by people in other rooms can be heard. The redeeming quality is the proximity to major Philly attractions, most everything within walking distance.

This property should not be listed until it is cleaned. The place has an odor, the floors, glass features, carpets and elevator are filthy. The photos on the Expedia website is not a true representation of this property and Epedia should take a look at the properties before listing them. I had to stay as I was in town to support my daughter who was having lifesaving surgery at Temple Univ. Hospital and mu deposit was un-refundable. I was charged $35.00 a night, but the Expedia website shows the parking at $25.00 a night. When I spoke with the hotel attendant, I was told the parking lot is independent of the hotel, but the website and the parking lot sign implies that it is a part of the hotel.

The carpets made our socks black in two passes across the room and the tub was coated in a dirty layer (as if it needs some soft scrub or comet on the tub floor) with mildew in all the grout. The sheets and towels were clean but there was a cigarette burn in the coverlet. Breakfast was included but sparse: instant coffee, watered down juice, stale bread and cereal, warm milk that smelled off. The location was good for what we needed but parking was $35/night vs the $25 advertised on the web reservation. Easy walking to shopping and China Town restaurants as well as the historic area but you have to walk past two blocks of dumpsters on the sidewalks from the market on the corner. Wouldn't stay there again.

Room was clean and had minimal supplies, and the bed and pillows are comfy. However, there was takeout food left in the fridge by previous guest that didn’t get cleaned out. I told the front desk and the response was not great and he acted like it was not his job to clean it out, but reluctantly got up to take care of it. The hallways are dirty and elevator was broken.

The staff were wonderful, but the rooms were poorly maintained. The bathroom tub was so stained that I refused to use it. There were burn holes on the furniture and and even the comforter on my bed. Behind several pieces of furniture were random items that looked like trash and crumbs of chips and other food items. Yuck.

Property was filthy floor to ceiling covered in stains and dirty in the lobby to the breakfast erea to the stairs to the bedrooms. I think the only thing that was clean was the elevator. My first room had baby cockroaches in the bathroom, thankfully no bedbugs, the receptionist who checked me in was incredibly rude to me, they didnt inform me of the deposite, nor did they tell me if i wasnt 21 i had to have a parent id, when i called the night prior to ask no mention of a parent idea was said, which made my check in process miserable after spending the whole day traveling. Every surface in that hotel has stains and weird coloring. The only plus is that the beds were comfortable snd there was hot water

Best staff and front desk ever. The room itself had a window I had to pop off the screen to half close to use the air conditioning. The tv also had not been programmed so it had no channels. I could not use it.

The staff was very helpful and attentive. However, accumulated trash bins were left in the first floor stairwell for at least two days. Also, the elevator broke down on day 2. Additionally, the hotel policies were restrictive upon check in and not conducive to professional standards. I would not reserve at this property again or recommend.

Front desk reception both in the evening and morning were good. Shame that the check in process is not modern ie: pic of ID. I hope you throw them away after departure. My only gripe would be that the tv wasn't set up properly and breakfast wasn't consistently the same ie: no eggs on day 2. Otherwise. I would stay again - maybe.

There was no one at the front desk when we arrived so we waited there for about 20 minutes. There was a sign that said someone would be back shortly, but that didn't happen. When someone came to the desk she was pleasant but the lobby and rooms were messy

The staff here is AMAZING. Really wonderful, friendly and helpful. Had lots of good restaurant recommendations. The location is a bit chaotic, given that it’s in the heart of Chinatown, but I think it was great. We were in walking distance of SO MANY good places to eat. The room was good- about what you would expect for the price. Some lamps and outlets did not work, and the TV was very old with only cable TV as an option.

Got to hotel at 12:15 a.m. and one guest in front of me checking in. It took the person behind the desk more than a half hour to get them checked in, so I just stood there waiting and exhausted after a long drive. Ridiculous that it took so long. I didn't get into my room until 12:55- 40 minutes after I arrived. I wasn't going to write a bad review because it could have just been a new person on an off-night, but when I went to write customer service, it wouldn't let me send the email and wanted me to call, so just taking out my frustrations here. It was the worst check-in experience I have ever had in more than 30 years of traveling. Will not be staying here ever again.

Location was good because you could walk to lots of the city center attractions. Communication was poor between guest and management because we did not have housekeeping come our entire stay, even after requesting several times.

Sleep Inn is right in the heart of Philly's Chinatown, and within walking distance of some great neighborhoods and attractions. Public transport is also nearby. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff extra friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay--especially the bustling street life and the great central location.

Location is perfect. We were able to walk about a mile east to the historic attractions. Walk west about the same distance to most of the famous museums. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was not much “fine dining” nearby, but we still managed to eat well.

This property has a good/bad location. It is good because it is very close to the Pennsylvania convention center/Reading Terminal Market and walkable to city center and the old city. However, it is on a crappy, stinky side street in Chinatown, which was a bit of a surprise to us when we rolled up to it. Outwardly the entrance to the hotel is very understated. Also it’s on a one-way street and we found that made it a little trickier for Uber drivers to get to you. However, the hotel itself was fine. I thought the staff at the front desk were OK and helpful. And the room itself was solid if not immaculate. We primarily picked this place because of location and the fact that it was on the inexpensive side, but just know going in that there’s a reason for the cheaper rate…the Chinatown location. There is a Bonchon right next door which has a little bar so that’s kind of nice if you want to get a quick drink or bite.

The location in Chinatown was perfect for us. There was convenient lot parking next to the inn. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the room was well equipped. Owen I believe was awesome. The rest of the staff was poor to average in terms of customer service. As a frequent hotel guest see all levels of service. The location is great, the room was OK, the breakfast however was beyond poor. I arrived an hour after it opened, most items were gone, muffins still there, waffles, and that was about it. Thankfully was across from the Reading Terminal so went there for a superb breakfast Would I stay here again? Only if every other hotel was full.

Room reeked of cigarettes. Maybe I got a smoking room idk. I didn’t complain and just smoked in the room. The bathtub had that ground in dirt like they didn’t know how to clean it right. The carpet was greasy and so dark. not sure if it originally looked that way or was just really old. Breakfast was meager but what actually annoyed me is my second day there was no coffee. my biggest complaint was there was something wrong w the tv like it would suddenly turn on to this black screen and then turn back off w this rip noise. It kept me up all night even w earplugs. I even unplugged everything I could reach my last night but it still did it! I don’t mind cheap hotels and didn’t even complain but I should have. The location was actually really great but I saw 2 other hotels at this price point that I’m sure would have been better.

Staff was very nice and tried to be helpful. The coffeemaker in our room did not work. We were there 4 days and they could not find a coffeemaker until 9pm the last night. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Instant coffee?! Toaster only worked on one side, waffle maker did not cook waffles enough. No juice. We stayed here while my husband had surgery. The room was ok (except the coffeemaker) bed very comfortable. Bathroom was big.
