The View was the best part of our stay at this property. We were a family of 5 traveling and stayed 4 nights. We had a 3 bedroom apartment and it was really average. The bedding had blood stains on it, or dried wet stains on every bed. The shower didnt have an extracter fan, so was very hot. The Air Conditioning units were either dripping with water leaking or they didn't work properly. The sink tap didn't have hot water coming out of it, and the utensils or the lack of to cook a meal were no where to be seen. The deck had so much dove feces everywhere, no one would want to sit out there. Also the Air Conditioning fan was on the outside balcony blowing hot air at you, which made it impossible to sit near. This needs to be looked at before offering this to families.

Great suite of apartments, well appointed even though a bit on the pricier side. There is only one lift and you'll likely have to wait a while because the cleaners use it in the morning. A minor quibble but they did not stock the fridge with milk.

First the good: secure parking is great and the rooms are a good size. However this place is looking very tired. No maintenance is done, shower head held on with a cable tie. Stained carpets and walls and the bed worn out. Balcony is good but unusable with all the smoking going on. Not a smoke free property. No smart TV for streaming or casting. Location is good but how about a coat of paint and new carpets, for the cost. Absolutely no room service for fresh towels etc unless you stay 7 days. Don’t think I’ll be back. Business trip 3 night stay.

Room only surface cleaned. Dust and bugs on most surfaces. One lift not sufficient for the building and it wasn’t working on our departure so we had to carry luggage down 6 flights of stairs.

Check in was quick and easy, great off street parking. Unit was clean and serviceable, good elevator accessibility. Great views and access to big walking path. Bed was a bit hard, but nice pillows, doona and towels. Kitchen worked well, overall, good accommodation.

Rooms are tired, big red stain on the carpet, black marks on the wall. Receptionist was lovely when we asked for more towels and toilet paper as the rooms are not serviced every day. It is convenient to have some cutlery, crockery and the kettle, sandwich press, microwave and toaster.

The curtains had traces of mold. The washing machine was not cleaned, the dryer contained towels left by the cleaning staff. There were cobwebs at the base of the dishwasher in the kitchen area. Pillows in second bedroom had unknown white marks/stains on them. Several surfaces had dirty marks. EG Doors and walls. I used this property several years ago but due to the state of the room, family and I will not be returning. This was reported to reception but have not been contacted by property management and therefore i expect they have little care for their guests.

We stayed 12 nights during Christmas and New Year but only got once housekeeping service. Some facilities in the room not working, eg. TV, fan and laundry dryer. The balcony door handles became mouldy and disgusting. Ants everywhere in the kitchen area.

I’ve stayed here many times over the past 8+ years and have always appreciated the location and the consistently friendly, helpful reception team. However, the last two stays have been disappointing. The rooms feel very aged, which would be fine if they were properly cleaned. Unfortunately, our most recent room had lumpy, worn-out bed, stained furniture with crumbs and dirt, and the bed itself had hairs and other debris on it. The kitchen in the one-bedroom unit was also poorly stocked, with only one fork and one drinking glass. While the view remains a highlight and the air-conditioning filters were clean, the overall condition and cleanliness of the rooms make me question whether they are being adequately serviced between guests. At this point, I’m not sure I would return unless improvements are made.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in! The windows were so dusty and we had a lot of ants in the kitchen, it was very disgusting. Everything was very used. The shower was also dirty. We needed to park our car outside of the building because all parking spaces were full. The next day our license plates were stolen. So very unsafe area. I would not recommend staying there.

This property is very run down and dirty! We had to be moved from the first room due to airconditioner not working and musty/mould smell and the second room had the most putrid carpet and a dirty sock in the wardrobe.

The mattress was terrible… I feel like folding in half by the mattress and you can clearly see the king bed is formed by two singles and they are not leveled! One side is sinking in the middle, makes it impossible to stand up the next morning. I literally couldn’t feel my back after slept in it… Terrible experience won’t recommend.

I chose that hotel because of the close proximity to the sea and expected a nice hotel as it looked on the photos. When we arrived at the hotel it was a few minutes before the reception closed for the day. It turned out the hotel was in a residential area without any shops. The window in the very small room was about 1.90m abve the ground and about 50 cm high, there was no chance to look out the window. As the reception was already closed there was no chance to rectify this situation. The off street parking was very full so we had to park in the street. The hotel had 8 floors but only one lift. Very very unsafe. There was a cushion in the bed with a zip sticking out. It gave me two 4cm long scratches in the sleep which resulting with strong bleeding around my ellbow for about 15-20 min. This woke me up in the middle of the night. Evidence was also blood on the sheet and pillow. I normally would expect some compensation for this unpleasant experience.

Upon arrival the front desk did not tell me any information just gave me the keys and sent me on my way I had to ask about every little detail which should have been provided welcoming me. I had no aircon for four days, when I called up about this issue they were not very accommodating and said they would not know when it will be fixed. Was fixed on last day however, communication was poor and I was not aware till before I checked out.

-clean and quiet -reasonably priced -not located near shops (short drive to CBD) -very poor communication -broken lockbox so very stressful after hours check-in trying to find the person I'd called an hour previously giving them our eta but who left the phone downstairs so we couldn't reach them for several minutes (reception unmanned after 5pm) -room without a view (only windows were at top of wall so dont book if you're claustrophobic) - and no, we didnt know this from the photos online.

Apsttment was magnificent. Incredibly comfortable bed and good facilties within. Kitchen, living room and bsthroom all immaculate, honestly accommodation itself second to none. Location not ideal if you dont have a car though due to distance from shops and resturanta in center of Mackay. If you have a car though as i assume most would, recommend staying here

Location was great and nice out look from the unit. had a kitchenette net and heaps of space. Staff where helpful and friendly when you need help. The only thing is the beds where really bad they need an up grade big time I did end up having a really sore back, I spoke to some of the other guests and they had the some problem.
