Hotel Cumbres Lastarria

The hotel is located in a premium spot of the city, safe, good restaurants and several things to do walking distance. My main two low points were that the hotel restaurant bar hours were very inconvenient for a work / pleasure trip ( 5 to 9 PM only ) and the rooms were nice but total lack of privacy in the restroom area makes it uncomfortable for a couple if you are not use to totally see and hear each other every time you go to the toilet or take a shower ( glass walls all around as dividers between WC/Shower/bedroom so be ready to be in a fishtank )

Everything was perfect. The location was vibrant and fun. The staff were outstanding, breakfast was great. The pool was small but had a spectacular view.

Lovely hotel with a nice outdoor pool and in a great area. Only downsides were that there are only 4 sun beds so if two couples are at the pool you can’t really use it, and also one of our coffee pods was used in the room when we arrived.

Great location, easy to use the parking garage, nicely updated hotel, great rooftop pool, and most of the staff were very helpful and nice, the rooms were nice but I was not a big fan of the floor to ceiling mostly see-through glass for the bathroom walls. I shared a room with a platonic friend and it was a bit awkward with showering and using the toilet. If I was by myself or with a partner it would be fine. The air conditioning was not working for 2 nights, on the first night the friendly helpful staff member got it fixed right away but the second night, a different staff member was much less willing to fix it (tried telling us it was working when you could literally feel hot air coming out the vent) and never had a repair man come up after asking them to call the guy anyway. And it was 76 degrees in the room, had to sleep with just a sheet that night. If the AC worked I would’ve had a 10/10 stay.

We felt valued and taken care of from the second we walked in. The room was large, clean, and fitted with quality furnishings and fixtures. Great air-con, amazing water pressure and hot shower. Facilities were good, rooftop pool with towels available, gym (didn't use, but knew it was there) and the bar and restaurant downstairs served a fab cocktail and wonderful meal. The staff were courteous and smily and we recieved welcome drinks too. The restaurant staff were rushed off their feet at dinner time (it was busy) and were still polite, attentive and got everything to us in good time. A wonderfully luxurious last night for our trip.

O hotel fica numa região muito privilegiada, tem área de chá e café à vontade para os hóspedes 24h, tem um serviço de quarto com horário determinado, o horário do café da manhã na semana é diferente do final de semana, a qualidade do café da manhã é muito bom Porém o café em si é meio fraco, a garagem é bem apertada e para acessar tem que ser por meio de um elevador de carro. O que gerou um pouco de descontentamento foi a questão de que precisávamos parar na frente do hotel e simplesmente os profissionais do hotel reclamavam e pediram para tirar o carro o que nos atrasou e atrapalhou bem na noite de jantar restaurante giratório. O secador de cabelo do próprio hotel não entrava na tomada e tive que pedir um adaptador na recepção. O banheiro e sanitário são portas de vidro o que tiram um pouco da privacidade se você estiver dividindo o quarto com alguém. Quando fui descansar no período da tarde tinha manutenção de hidráulica sendo feita e o barulho incomodou. A limpeza excelente, as camas são bem confortáveis, tem cafeteira no quarto, travesseiros bem limpos e aquecedor. Não consegui utilizar a TV o controle não funcionava.

The location is unbeatable. Very close to the metro, near many restaurants, and lively street art and music. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied. We also had access to a lounge with coffee, water, and tea, and even once we checked out, our bags were held and we continued to have access to the lounge, the pool, and the gym/showers!

Spacious, comfortable room with great shower. Only disappointment was that bar and restaurant weren't open in the evenings, contrary to Expedia details. Location is great though, with plenty of bars and restaurants within 5 minute walk. Spa / massages no longer available but concierge kindly contacted nearby luxury hotel to book treatments.

Wonderful neighbourhood. Only complaint was the tiny shallow pool.

Room was comfortable and fairly clean. Use wet wipes when get in room to wipe surfaces. Came up with three dirty wipes. Front desk not real helpful. However, kudos to Nicholas who helped a few times when other personnel would not. His service was much appreciated. Location of hotel is great.

Superb location for a hotel right in the heart of the bohemian area of Lastarria. From our arrival to departure, the staff were fantastic; very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was also very comfortable and well appointed. It was also very clean.

Safe and convenient prime location in the heart of downtown area. Clean and spacious room. Nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Best value. Glad I chose this hotel over Crown Plaza. Although I do not care about shopping for little trinklets, it was fun to see street merchants right outside the hotel, which is lined with restaurants with open-area seating.

Excelente. A localização é ótima e os serviços são excelentes. Ar condicionado parou de funcionar no último dia. O carpet do quarto estava faltando uma limpeza.

Hotel simplesmente maravilhoso! Localização muito boa, próximo de vários restaurantes e da costanera. Atendimento impecável. O hotel super limpo, moderno e me pareceu novinho. O quarto estava limpíssimo, super lindo e superou as expectativas. Café da manha completo e atendimento excelente. Super recomendo!

Hotel was very nice, clean, and conveniently located. Staff was helpful and even let us check in to our room early as our flight landed in Santiago fairly early in the morning. The downstairs lounge area has a nice coffee machine and water station for guests to refill water bottles. The mattress was also so comfortable! Would recommend Hotel Cumbres Lastarria for anyone traveling to Santiago.

I love everything about this hotel. Even though there was a misunderstanding with our payment, the hotel staff resolved it within a day. Highlights of our stay: Clean and spacious rooms Good water pressure. Hot water is available all the time. Good breakfast - fruit juices, different types of breads Very kind and helpful staff. They go above and beyond. Super courteous. They want you to have an enjoyable stay. Great location Very safe neighbourhood Comfortable beds to sleep Beautiful ambiance inside the hotel I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the modern part of the hotel but I don't understand why do they build glass, see through doors for the toilet and shower, assuming there are only couples staying. I was traveling with a friend and it was very uncomfortable, even if you were traveling with your recent partner it would have been!

Very convenient location. Staff was helpful and rooms were a little dark (dim lighting), but very nice.

I'm unable to recommend Hotel Cumbres Lastarria. The hotel is in a great walkable neighborhood. Unfortunately, our advance request for early check-in did not happen (which is important when you're flying from half way around the world). Then we were booked into a room where the mini fridge did not work. The bigger issue is the AC did not work properly (and this was nearly summertime). By the second night, we asked to be moved to a different room. I credit the hotel front desk for honoring this request. At times, the front desk seemed understaffed. We also figured out where to find a nearby supermercado (after a door person/valet told us there were none nearby). I wanted to rate the hotel higher, but these were too many issues.

Excellent location. Couldn't be better. Very nicely appointed hotel. The bathroom is a little odd with glass doors and partition between the bedroom and the toilet/shower. It was a little awkward for me and my friend staying in the room together. Great breakfast with wonderful views.

AC doesn’t work well so room stays pretty warm. Booking system allows you to book rooms they don’t have available, so I had to wait 30 min as they figured out where they could put me (ended up in a ridiculously small room). Loud electrical noise all night until I switched off a breaker I found myself.

It was great! My husband and I stayed there for about a week to visit our son. It was in a great neighborhood with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It was walking distance to the subway and to the St. Lucia Hill. Our room was facing the street and it was noisy but when we closed the window, we did not hear anything. The breakfast was also amazing! The staff were very nice and helpful. We got there very early in the morning but were able to check-in around 10 am which was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

Slightly dated bedrooms - but an excellent size. Excellent breakfast - with lots of options and fresh food made quickly. Nice bathroom. Nice touches - coffee machine, 'business lounge', nice bar area. Fantastic location.

Good location in trendy area, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Regrettably, bathroom separated from sleeping space only by a glass wall, towels are inextricably on a shell in the toilet room, which has not only just a glass door but not even a full length one. TMI even for intimate partners.

The front desk staff were amazingly helpful to us during our stay - lining up our airport shuttles and helping us get bus tickets to Valparaiso. The room was lovely and accommodating. Great experience!

We received a lot of helpful advice from Pablo about the city in general and area restaurants. Since we don’t speak much Spanish so we relied on Pablo to arrange our 6am taxi to the airport as well.

Staff at reception were fantastic! Helped with restaurant recommendations. Kept our bags, allowed us to get coffee while we waited. One even recommended us from our visit over 1 year ago!

Had a dreadful check in. They had cancelled my booking ( without informing me) which was made a year before because, in the meantime my credit card expired! This can’t be the first time it’s happened. I arrive. They say it’s cancelled. They say, after I repeated asking, they have no rooms. I ask to speak to the manager ( I hate having to do that). He found me a room. Seriously?? Let’s avoid the stress and look after your customers. BUT beyond that dreadful start all good. Incredible location. The best. Nice room. Good breakfast. Pool fine but bit basic. I am staying there again next week on my way back home. So no hard feelings check in!!

First, the pros: The location of the hotel is very good. It is in a safe neighborhood within steps from good restaurants and we felt comfortable walking around in the evening around the hotel. We were within walking distance of some of the tourist locations in the city and it was easy to get a cab/Uber from outside the hotel for other locations. The hotel itself was also clean. Parts of Santiago are gritty so it's important to be smart with your belongings. We were advised by our taxi driver not to carry our passports or too much cash/only one credit card. The cons: We had an unfortunate incident at check-in. When we arrived at approximately 10:15 in the morning with our luggage, we were told there would not be rooms available until at least 4:00 in the afternoon. The person checking is in told us if we paid $40USD for "breakfast", he would get us a room. We felt we had no choice- especially after our taxi driver had warned us about some of the crime in the city- but to accept. We were sent to the 8th floor for breakfast where we were told that service was ending in about 10 minutes and to make our selection quickly. When we returned back downstairs, a room was ready for us. However, we noticed MANY other people- including families getting multiple rooms- arriving and being given access to their rooms WITHOUT being charged $40. *We reached out to the hotel about this incident via email and almost two weeks later, they still have not responded.

We arrived at 1:00am after a long day of missed connections in Argentina and were welcomed back with lovely smiles and open arms for our second stay. The luggage we left days earlier for pickup on our return was already in our room! The included breakfast is lovely and provides options for any taste. The location in Lastarria is ideal for experiencing the vibrancy of Santiago’s downtown - Santa Lucia, Plazas de Armas, several museums, beautiful parks and many restaurant/bar options are available to suit any taste and pocketbook.

Bom hotel. Boa localização. Bom café da manhã. Tive problema no quarto com o ar condicionado, muito barulhento. Foi dificil de dormir. Reclamei por 2 dias, não resolveram. Quem resolveu no terceiro dia foi a atendente DANITZA, que gentilmente me trocou de quarto.

We canceled our reservations two days in advance and we were entitled to a full refund, but they refuse to give us a refund and they charge us the full three nights.

Staff was very friendly and was able to get into my room early after a long overnight flight-greatly appreciated.

Property was really good, location was even better. Walking distance from a lot of interesting places like Cerro Santa Lucia, Plaza de Armas, some museums etc. And nearest metro station is like 5 mins walk. There comes up a market on the street right in front of the hotel and because of GAM and University Catolica being super close it remains very lively and safe until very late in the night. Although if you prefere super quite, not for you then. Lots of restaurants including a bunch of international options are also nearby. Both area and hotel are also very good for non Spanish speakers.

Be prepared for the are outside this hotel. It’s all about the culture though, so if that’s your “thing” it’s fun. But it can also be unsafe if you’re not careful. The hotel is lovely, and right where the action is. There’s a hop on off bus close, a must do when in Santiago.

En general muy bien todo, muy amable el personal, como nuestro vuelo llegó antes, pudimos acceder un par de horas antes, había un área de estancia para poder tomar café, lo que se agradece por el tipo de clima que nos tocó. Es una zona de muchos restaurantes, lo que tiene sus pro y contras por el tema de ruido. Pero fuera de eso todo muy bien

O hotel é bom. Boa estrutura, bom café da manhã, funcionários solícitos, porém os quartos tem uma iluminação deficiente. Ficamos há alguns anos numa outra viagem nesse mesmo bairro. Nota- se a degradação do mesmo. A segurança piorou visivelmente. Os taxistas alertam para a baixa segurança. Uma pena! Numa próxima vez ficaremos em outro bairro.

Close to key attractions such as Plaza de Armas, San Cristobal Hill and Santa Lucia Hill and in a nice and vibrant neighbourhood.

Lovely comfortable hotel with amazing buffet breakfast, amazing range of pastries and breads plus hot breakfast and fresh fruit. Lounge with coffee machine and a little pool on the roof. Area around the hotel is great for dining and drinks options and a little street market right in front of the hotel with vibrant street life! Highly recommend staying here when in Santiago. Walkable to plaza de Armas & cerro Santa Lucia

This wonderful hotel is staffed by professional, friendly and caring people whose aim is to make their guests feel welcome in all respects. The breakfast at Punto Ocho includes food items for every conceivable palate and is deliciously presented by an attentive and helpful staff. The hotel’s location is ideal with regard to restaurants, parks, historical sites, the central market and so much more - all can be reached by short walks, sometimes only steps away. This was our third stay, and we will gladly return in the future.

The hotel is a bit tired. It needs freshening up. The location is superb. The breakfast is not very good at all.

My wife and I had a great sray at Cumbres Lastarria, the hotel is beautiful, chic and very well located. The only thing we didn't like as much was the breakfast, no variety at all, pastries don't seen to be fresh and were very dry. Overall, a really good stay.
