Bear Lake Lodgings B&B, Inc

We stayed in one of the top rooms they have and unfortunately the building is build in a very non sound proof way. So we where able to hear our room neighbors zip up their pants, peeing in the toilet, showering, snoring, all of it… in the morning between 05:30 and 06:30 you will start hearing the staff preparing the breakfast and the smell from cooking will enter the room. Overall the house and surrounding is nice but the room should not be priced as a hotel room, if it would be priced as a hostel then it would be more understandable that you can hear other people but paying 360$ a night you would hope to have a restful sleep. Unfortunately not here. So even that the staff and house is nice I would personally not recommend staying here. 5/5 for the staff, they are very friendly and tried their best for us to have a good time at their place, after letting them know that we can hear everything they gave us earplugs. Unfortunately the earplugs wont help when the cooking in the morning starts and when people start talking.

Great staff and very nice place

Great breakfast, excellent location for viewing night sky - northern lights (even though south near Seward, we still) saw the Aurora), kayaks at adjacent lake.

The lodge is located in a very serene location, right by the Bear Creek with beautiful views. The hosts were awesome in communicating the instructions and accommodating special dietary restrictions. The room was cozy and fair enough for a one night stay. Special shout out to Skye, who was extra helpful with everything.

Awesome Alaska bfast items, access to lake and kayak plus Iditarod trail running. We had a great time - wonderful staff!
