Ocean Court Beachfront Hotel

Clean hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just wish it had an elevator. Tough carrying our luggage up a big flight of stairs. Room very spacious.

The property is under construction for the pool and pool area. No pool was disappointing and not alerted in your expedia showing online. They offered to go "5min away to use another sites pool". Ouch. I'll go back if the pool ever gets rebuilt. I feel duped.

Easy to find. Easy check in and pleasant staff. Our TV didn't work and with 5-10 minutes we had a brand new TV out of the packaging. Location to the beach is great. The pool is not accessible but the beach is steps away. Definitely going back.

The pool is under construction so our ocean front room was blocked. The beach access was blocked due to pool construction. I booked the oceanfront room with a view and due to my husband’s disability our room was switched to a downstairs room with a blocked view. It was very inconvenient for my husband to walk around in and out of the beach. He went and talked to the. manager. It was nice of him to give us some credit back. After all, it was a good stay. I’m sure once the pool is completed it will be an excellent hotel.

We loved the sweet kitty (can't remember her name) and that she had her own living quarters. Bummed the pool was under construction during our stay.

After we checked in we were told that the pool and deck had been damaged from a hurricane and the entire area was closed. In checking into this, we found that the hurricane damage had occured THREE YEARS prior to our stay. This is not acceptable. Had we been told this prior to booking we would not have stayed here. We feel like we deserve some compensation for this inconvenience.

Our first time staying there overall the experience was good. It’s super outdated. It was hit by a hurricane a few years ago, so the pool is not working. It’s under construction for the last 3 to 4 years overall, we are very happy with our stay other than I wish, the pool was open, but we had a great time with our family. The rooms should get updated.

The room is clean and ok..outdated for sure... Given a 2 star because I specifically called to see if the pool was open and was told yes… and the pool is not open an under construction😡 I know they told a lot of people it was open ! Because of the Memorial Day weekend they knew nobody would book if the pool was closed!

Parking is limited and tight. The room, however, is very tidy and clean. Everything you need including kitchenware. I was hoping to get hot water and a to-go cup for my instant coffee, and lobby has none. The room does not have to-go foam cups either. There is a coffee maker and everything you need, but you can't take it to-go. The other unexpected issue is they required a security deposit of $150. Its not a big deal, but it should be noted, so not a surprised to guests.

The property is great but they were working on sea wall repair so view had chain link fence included. Workers and staff were very friendly. I’d return just to see it finished. Room and location were great! Walk right out onto beach.

This is a good family run motel going through some repairs. Pool is not working. Room could be a bit cleaner. Had to do some cleaning in the bathroom when I arrived. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Room was outdated and dirty rugs. Couch sofa bed had dirty sheets stained. Bathroom tub was not working properly however they fixed it same day in a timely manner. It served it's purpose .

The property was well taken care of, very clean and the staff was great. The access to the beach was easy and the beach was peaceful and not a lot of traffic which was nice compared to other parts of Daytona. We will definitely be returning and staying longer next time!

It was different from what I saw in the picture, and the road leading to the beach was all broken. The swimming pool also looked different from the picture and the smell of cleaning chemicals filled the room, making it difficult to relax.

This is an old (1950’s) beachside hotel. There is a nice courtyard that everyone sets in at night. The rooms are very small and old. It is clean and the beds are comfortable but there is very little light, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, there is aluminum’s foil covering the stove burners, there is no internet and terrible cell service. The pool is closed off due to damage from a storm last year. If you are looking for a cheap hotel room with no amenities along the beach, this place is fine. The people are nice and it appears that many of the guest are full time retirees. Im really split on this hotel. We are traveling for business and this place didn’t offer any amenities that you expect with all hotels today. I picked this hotel because it had great ratings and was very affordable. This is really a 1 star hotel that is clean (With the exception of the two dead roaches that were on the floor)

The smell of bleach was so overpowering! It never did let up. Made all of our eyes burn.

Hotel is old and smells like those hourly stay motels, towels are those hard white cheap towels, pool not functional and empty, no safe access to beach. Big mistake renting here.

Clean and convenient!

My husband and I camp quite a bit, so we are not fussy. However, there are many things that could be improved. Refrigerator door opened the wrong way, so I had to move the table to be able to open the door and reach inside. The microwave was on top of the refrigerator, so I had to climb on a chair to use it. There is a steep exterior flight of steps to get up to the 2nd floor. I would say get the best room you can afford if you are planning to stay here. The hotel also had extensive damage in the hurricane, and they are still fixing up. also, carpet needs to be replaced. Many people commented on the beds, which are strange, but we slept well. Daytona is a great place to visit, and the motel is right on the beach. Maid cleaned our room everyday which is unheard of since COVID so that was appreciated.

The staff were great to deal with. The woman that cleaned our room daily was awesome & she did a great job. Unfortunately, we were on the 1st floor so bugs easily found their way into the room daily.

Wonderful location right on the beach. The hotel has that classic 50’s/60’s feel - felt like I was in an old movie. Staff were friendly and responsive. Easy walk to convenience store and an IHOP.

The motel is in a great location next to the beach. Access with a view of the ocean. But, it's an old property which is under some renovation fom storm damage and whilst the room was clean, and covered basic needs, It was old and showing its age in some of the room fixtures. Mattress was cheap, hard, and noisy.

They were spacious enough for queen beds but I’m pretty sure the beds were just double beds. The kitchen seemed to be well furnished but we didn’t make use of it. The hotel is right on the ocean but it didn’t technically have beach access. There is a Volucia County beach gate that you have to walk around. I think there usually is direct access but the hurricane took it out. THE POOL IS CLOSED (6/3/23). It looks like they are working to get everything restored but obviously that takes time. There is an empty hotel on one side & a strip club across the street (closed for remodeling).

Beautiful view of the ocean from the patio outside. Beach is literally less than a minute away. Staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful with getting the stay here setup. Definitely a gem here on the beach.

The ac in my room was broken called the front desk four times she called back and told us that maintenance wouldn’t be there till the morning and hung up. Our trip was from 7/10-7/11 we checked in around 5pm and turned the air on then went to the beach came back at 9pm the room was blazing hot. Morning staff were more than helpful but that did nothing for us and our 6 year old that had to sleep with it be 85 degrees in the Florida heat. The out side is a little sketch someone was cutting hair outside and screaming upstairs. But the people did seem chill. I can confirm that the rooms are super clean be it a little small. Outta everything was definitely not worth the money to stay there in the heat.

Housekeeping does go in your room without your consent while you’re gone in the morning time but the lady was super nice other than that it was a great stay

Stayed at their sister property Boardwalk cause we wanted pool. They assisted us in the very way possible. Ended up oceanfront with balcony in mini suite. Was perfect! Thank you to the staff at both hotels. Iocation perfect and so was the staff Be back again!!

Excellent staff and good service

Ocean Court was quaint which was what we were looking for. It was well maintained and clean. The day staff were all great. We found out only at check in that the pool was not available (obviously not their fault due to last year’s hurricane), but would have been nice to know in advance. It was not something that was clear when booking on Expedia. Further, the bathtubs don’t actually function as bathtubs. The tub is there but no way to hold water. Shower it is, but I book rooms with tubs for a reason. Many of the guests staying at the property were repeat visitors, some for more than 20 years. That speaks volumes about the hotel and staff. But, we had issues within our room. We were missing a section of the blinds. Solved that problem the first night by hanging a towel. The kitchen table collapsed on my child due to a faulty leg. I tried using the phone in the room to call the desk, but it didn’t work. So I walked to the office to find out there was little that could be done until the morning. In the morning, I revisited the office regarding the issues. We went out for a while and returned to the issues not have been fixed yet. Popped in again about the table. It was finally attended to at that point. I found the missing parts to the blinds under the bed and fixed that myself. I may stay again, but will look for other quaint options as well.

It’s an older property that has been shown a lot of love- all new furniture and accessories, fresh paint, extremely clean, and staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a great view of the ocean and beautiful courtyard with all new tables, etc. The weather was crappy so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach but it was also clean and beautiful. Great stay for the price.

I had a great stay, the staff was very nice and helpful, the towels were exceptional and so was the blow dryer. I appreciate these things..

I call these places "Sleeper Hotels" The outside of the building is old and looks like an old motel 6. The rooms however are very clean and mostly renovated. The bathroom tile was dated but was still very clean. The price was very reasonable and I would stay here again, I will just be better prepared. My only issues is that there is no coffee! There is a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. In the lobby they have coffee, but do not make it until 8am! I was up at 6 went to the lobby to grab some coffee to watch the sunrise from the beach; only to find out this information. The front staff was not the friendliest, and did not seem to really know where to get coffee or how far away it was. She mentioned the 7-eleven, and told me I needed to drive there. It was literally a block and a half away. I could have walked. (Yes, I could have checked google, but I was tired and very irritated over the coffee ordeal) I do not understand what the big deal is over the coffee. If I was working there and someone came in for coffee, I would have just made it for them. It was all ready set up and ready to go. The water just needed to be poured into the coffee maker and hit start. There were tons of other guests outside enjoying the sunrise. They too would have probably enjoying coffee without having to go to 7-Eleven or the Ihop down the street. May seem like a strange hill to die on, but if you are a morning coffee drinker, YOU KNOW!

Beds were terrible. Lumpy. Bumpy. Tilted. Hard. Soft. Three of us were in the room and we could not sleep. The a/c was so loud. The motel was across the street from a gentleman’s club. The pool and access to the ocean were not available.

Great hotel. Close enough to the action, but far enough away to be a quiet.

Once upon a time Ocean Court Motel was our Daytona Beach home for 12 years. The owners and staff where like family to all their guest, great hospitality ... they went above and beyond, guest always felt welcome. It was more like visiting family rather than the feeling of just being another room number. It was a lovely quiet traditional Daytona Beach motel on the water front. We couldn\'t wait to visit our "Ocean Court family". Now it is corporate owned the staff is not very friendly except for the few remaining house keeping staff and a couple of office personal. They have more than tripled the prices of the rooms and call it "Ocean Court beachfront Hotel. It is not a Hotel by any means, it was a beautiful friendly beachfront motel and a great place to stay. We thought we would give it a try under the new owners, but sadly we will not be returning. At the present there is no pool or beach access from the property due to the hurricanes (no fault of the owners), though beach access is right next to the motel via the public beach ramp next door. I understand inflation has caused everything to go up in price thus the prices they are asking now are compatible to the more upscaled hotels north of the boardwalk without all the amenities that the upscaled hotels offer. The neighboring beachfront motels are still offering moderated prices with the same amenities as Ocean Court, "basic motel room with compact fridge and microwave as well as units with kitchenets and a couple

The hotel was nice and clean. FRIENDLINESS is amazing. Coffe pot would have been nice in the room also an hair dryer.. BUT other then that amazing!
