The hotel is pleasant. The room was in need of some T.L.C., no hot water for the sink, the shower was too small. For the price I expected better.

The hotel is quite rundown and requires some major renovations.

Dreadfull! I booked at seaview room which I didn't receive, to be told "take it up with Hotels.com" was nothing they could do about it - even though I booked back in January! It wasnt a last minute booking. Ended up in room 202. Which HADN'T had the bedding changed, nor room cleaned (i have photo proof of all of this)! Even Linda (lady on reception) said "it doesnt look like its been changed does it?" Even her face looked mortified at what they gave us too sleep in. When I asked for fresh sheets to change the bedding Linda said she'd do it, so I began to strip the bedding to help her out. When stripping the single bedding, out pops a BED BUG! To which I refused to allow my son too sleep in ! Over all room 202 was dirty and dusty! Setting off allergies. Linda kindly moved us to room 201 - which was better but still not what was asked for. I will not be returning nor will I be recommending this hotel. For £75 for 1 night no breakfast (my choice) , at bare minimum I expected a clean room. Really disappointed Hotel Santa Maria.

I asked for an accessible room and ended up in a room that was either up in the lift and down a labyrinth of corridors and then down a flight of stairs. Or up two flights of stairs directly. This meant once I got in the room I couldn't really get out much again. The room itself was pokey and very dated, nothing like any of the rooms in the pictures. I did ask if I could be moved but they said they were full. I picked this place because the reviews were good, it's looked good enough for my needs and the location was good. But in the end I paid 150 which is a lot of money for one night in Blackpool for something that just had a good location. Very disappointing.
