Viajamos a Guadalajara para hospedarnos en Casa Habita. Definitivamente hay una gran variedad de hoteles. Estábamos buscando un lugar boutique e íntimo ya que no llevábamos niños, y este nos llamó la atención. Pero diría que la apariencia es mucho mejor en las fotos que en persona. Además, nos enviaron un mensaje con menos de 24 horas de anticipación para avisarnos que la alberca estaba en construcción, y normalmente no se puede cancelar en ese momento para obtener un reembolso completo. Eso fue una gran decepción, ya que una de las cosas más importantes para nosotros era relajarnos en la alberca. Podríamos habernos quedado en otro lugar con alberca y un ambiente más amigable, ya que en este hotel todos eran bastante callados

This was our second stay at Casa Habita and, overall, it was a positive experience. The hotel and the neighborhood are charming. The room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and did everything that they could to make our stay enjoyable. However, we were incredibly disappointed to learn upon arrival that the pool would be closed for maintenance for the entirety of our stay. (And, from the looks of it, it won’t be open for quite a while.) I really needed to decompress on this vacation and this was a big let down. The front desk staff went out of their way to find another hotel in the area that offered day passes to their pool so that we could still relax in the sun. However, with such short notice, their efforts were unsuccessful. Despite the disappointment, I still think we’d have chosen to stay at Casa Habita over one of the other hotels that we’d considered. However, If you’ll be staying there soon and hope to relax by the pool, I’d recommend checking with the hotel to confirm that it will be open. And, if it won’t be, ask them to make a reservation for you at one of the other Guadalajara hotels that offer day passes so that you can still relax in the sun!

Todo fue muy bueno, desde la atencíón al hacer check in, la comodidad de la habitación, limpieza, amenidades, condiciones de la alberca (el agua calientita a pesar de ser un día fresco). Me gustó la disposición del baño y la bocina para que reproduzcas tu música desde el celular. Pero... en las noches es muy ruidoso, la música en el bar es demasiado fuerte y no se puede dormir, creo que hasta las 3 am escuché música en un viernes, si eso no es problema para ti, todo lo demás es perfecto.
Todo fue muy bueno, desde la atencíón al hacer check in, la comodidad de la habitación, limpieza, amenidades, condiciones de la alberca (el agua calientita a pesar de ser un día fresco). Me gustó la disposición del baño y la bocina para que reproduzcas tu música desde el celular. Misleading and Poorly Managed We booked this hotel *only* because it had a pool, which we found out was under construction at check-in. The staff claimed they had informed us via WhatsApp, but I showed them they hadn’t—and minutes later, I conveniently received the message. Their website and confirmation *still* listed the pool as open. Completely misleading. The front desk staff was rude (especially one woman, though no one wears name tags), and the restaurant was mediocre. The rooftop bar was overpriced with overly sweet drinks. We also experienced frequent power outages, which meant no Wi-Fi, no TV, and no way to charge devices. Worst of all, our toilet started leaking on day two. Our toddler slipped on the water, hit his head, and got a concussion. Maintenance came quickly, but the damage was already done. This place is poorly maintained and not worth the hassle I tried to give it the benefit of a doubt since I know Mexico can be a little different but I wish I would have believed the other review. I recommend staying at Voco Guadalajara Neruda instead—they were amazing.

Noise! I was on the third floor, overlooking the pool deck. Music played all the time, though I only ever saw two people there. First night… I kept waking up, thinking… soon they will turn it off. Second night at 1:30am I called reception to turn it off. Third night I asked the duty manager to come to my room to listen. He appeared concerned. Who is the music being played for when this pool area is clearly not being used much, and why sooo loud? Hotel guests are in hotels to essentially get some rest, if I want nightclub action I can go to one. I doubt I’m the first to complain and yet it always seems to be surprise to the staff? So I guess the hotel likes it this way and the music will continue to play.

The hotel was really nice with its own very unique style and personality. However, we were never advised by either the hotel or hotels.com that the pool was not in service. This was really disappointing as we really wanted to try this experience. Moreover, although breakfast was included, we noticed a stingy closed-minded and poor service attitude by the hotel staff whereby adding an extra egg to our order led to an extra charge to put an example. It is definitely not about the amount charged for an extra egg that is disturbing, but the fact of not being tactful with this little details. And yes, everything is in the details. Now, we are hesitant whether we want to book again with this property.

The property had a very nice vibe and the outdoor and common spaces in the lobby are very welcoming. However the rooms are really dated and the furniture is in very bad shape. The bed was pretty comfortable but the linens were not nice. I think this probably was a terrific hotel 20 years ago and will be again when it the powers spend some money on updating the rooms.

The room I had was older and needed an update but the bed was comfy and clean and it was very quiet. I felt safe and secure. Didn't have time to stroll the area but it seemed very quiet and walkable. Service at breakfast was exceptional and quality of the free breakfast was excellent although the selections were limited.

Good location. Safe and quiet neighborhood that is very walkable with lots of good restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is starting to show its age. Not sure it is worth the price. Likely you could find a property in better shape for the price.

A very quiet place overall. I recommend requesting a room that doesn’t face the street, as the rooms can get extremely hot. Also, note that the ‘free breakfast’ advertised isn’t actually free—we were charged despite having coupons. I’d definitely recommend going out for breakfast instead. Un lugar muy tranquilo en general. Recomiendo pedir una habitación que no dé a la calle, ya que las habitaciones pueden ponerse extremadamente calurosas. También, tengan en cuenta que el ‘desayuno gratis’ no es realmente gratis; nos lo cobraron a pesar de tener cupones. Definitivamente recomendaría salir a desayunar en otro lugar.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. The street noise can be very loyd at night. If you have a room facing the afternoon sun the room takes a while to cool down. I recommend better insulating curtains, fans in the room, and to lower the room temperatures before check in so it is not so warm for rooms facing the afternoon sun.

What an amicable, accommodating, and overall spectacular staff. From the front desk, waiters, bartenders, and attendants- all were consistently gracious. We stayed on the 7th floor and I will say that we could still hear a good amount of street noise, which we didn’t mind (that’s travel for ya). The neighborhood is a bit on the sleepy side, but it is very close to excellent restaurants, hip wine bars, coffee shops, and tacos!

I had a few issues at check in that needed attention. Ultimately everything was fixed and I was more than happy. Thank you-Much appreciated. Hotel is an eclectic mix of funky decore but very trendy. Breakfast was great, Valet and waitstaff were quick, efficient and friendly. I would love to return.

A very quiet place overall. I recommend requesting a room that doesn’t face the street, as the rooms can get extremely hot. Also, note that the ‘free breakfast’ advertised isn’t actually free—we were charged despite having coupons. I’d definitely recommend going out for breakfast instead. Misleading and Poorly Managed We booked this hotel *only* because it had a pool, which we found out was under construction at check-in. The staff claimed they had informed us via WhatsApp, but I showed them they hadn’t—and minutes later, I conveniently received the message. Their website and confirmation *still* listed the pool as open. Completely misleading. The front desk staff was rude (especially one woman, though no one wears name tags), and the restaurant was mediocre. The rooftop bar was overpriced with overly sweet drinks. We also experienced frequent power outages, which meant no Wi-Fi, no TV, and no way to charge devices. Worst of all, our toilet started leaking on day two. Our toddler slipped on the water, hit his head, and got a concussion. Maintenance came quickly, but the damage was already done. This place is poorly maintained and not worth the hassle I tried to give it the benefit of a doubt since I know Mexico can be a little different but I wish I would have believed the other review. I recommend staying at Voco Guadalajara Neruda instead—they were amazing.

The hotel was really nice with its own very unique style and personality. However, we were never advised by either the hotel or hotels.com that the pool was not in service. This was really disappointing as we really wanted to try this experience. Moreover, although breakfast was included, we noticed a stingy closed-minded and poor service attitude by the hotel staff whereby adding an extra egg to our order led to an extra charge to put an example. It is definitely not about the amount charged for an extra egg that is disturbing, but the fact of not being tactful with this little details. And yes, everything is in the details. Now, we are hesitant whether we want to book again with this property.

The room I had was older and needed an update but the bed was comfy and clean and it was very quiet. I felt safe and secure. Didn't have time to stroll the area but it seemed very quiet and walkable. Service at breakfast was exceptional and quality of the free breakfast was excellent although the selections were limited.

Todo fue muy bueno, desde la atencíón al hacer check in, la comodidad de la habitación, limpieza, amenidades, condiciones de la alberca (el agua calientita a pesar de ser un día fresco). Me gustó la disposición del baño y la bocina para que reproduzcas tu música desde el celular. Pero... en las noches es muy ruidoso, la música en el bar es demasiado fuerte y no se puede dormir, creo que hasta las 3 am escuché música en un viernes, si eso no es problema para ti, todo lo demás es perfecto.
Todo fue muy bueno, desde la atencíón al hacer check in, la comodidad de la habitación, limpieza, amenidades, condiciones de la alberca (el agua calientita a pesar de ser un día fresco). A beautiful boutique design hotel in a superb location. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was included with our stay on the terrace outside. Everything was perfect with unique design details all over the hotel. Managed to take a quick dip in the pool, although it was a bit cool. Service from the staff was excellent. Would recommend a stay here if you are visiting Guadalajara.
A beautiful boutique design hotel in a superb location. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was included with our stay on the terrace outside. Everything was perfect with unique design details all over the hotel. Managed to take a quick dip in the pool, although it was a bit cool. Service from the staff was excellent. Would recommend a stay here if you are visiting Guadalajara.

It’s not equipped for wheelchair use Aside from that I’ve stars the last three times I’ve visited Guadalajara for work and I always get the same room number even though I’ve asked several times not to bock me in room 402.
