Our room was nice and the facilities were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The check-in was confusing as we had to go to Hotel Aurora to check in (a block away) not at Casa Hipil itself. This could’ve been messaged ahead of time to save confusion. We also had to remind the staff that we had pre-purchased breakfast because they seemed to be unaware of that. But once they took a picture of our hardcopy reservation we received credit for our breakfasts. The breakfast was served in the rooftop restaurant area. The food was tasty but cold, as there were no heaters underneath each of the steam trays. Cold eggs, Chilaquiles, and pancakes plus fruit.

The room was quite small and did not have any windows. It was also located directly beside the front desk, which resulted in noticeable noise and limited privacy. Had this information been disclosed at the time of booking, I likely would have considered other options. The door only had a single lock on the handle and did not include an interior privacy lock, which raised some security concerns. There were also visible cracks around the door, making it easy to hear conversations and activity from outside the room. The hotel itself was generally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful when available. However, there was confusion regarding whether breakfast was included with our room. Additionally, when we arrived to check in, no one was at the front desk and the phone numbers provided to reach staff were out of service, which made the arrival process frustrating.

Room was in mostly good shape. But AC turned off on its own in the middle of the night. This was a problem because there was a dog somewhere nearby that was barking all.night.long. Then, in the morning, someone was chiseling or jackhammering by 7AM. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I needed help replacing a battery in my rental cars key fob. And they helped find someone who drove to me, and replaced it on the spot. The parking is very tight in their lot. We did not swim. So idk how nice that was.
