Room was great. Could have used a refrigerator and microwave. I drive across country and had a snack from the cooler I travel with. Wanted to eat after my cruise through the casino but no fridge or microwave to utilize.

You would think if you reserved a king deluxe room, You would have a mini fridge for drinks or to keep left overs cold ..And your tub drain for a bath would be in the tub ..and drained correctly when your have to shower,and not have two inches water in it while showering and the exhaust fan should be running too..and a microwave would have been nice to have .

It could use some updates in the hotel rooms. Its very inconvenient not to have a refrigerator, coffee pot or microwave in the room. The shower pressure was great and the bed was comfy.

I stay there occasionally for work during the week. TV’s are new, internet is fast, Beds are comfortable, Blackout shades work well, rooms are clean, AC/Heat work extremely well. If you like to gamble, there’s a casino with $10 minimum BJ tables that always have open seats. Food court stays open late and has some ok options with the pizza being my favorite choice. I would stay away from the cheese steak tho. I wish they would add microwaves or mini fridges, and some of the shower heads need to be replaced. Other than that, everything is super solid. Great quality for the price.

Garbage from previous people in room still in trash cans. Lots of black mold/fungus in bathtub enclosure. Room was overall dirty. Smoke smell permeated all rooms including non-smoking rooms. Constant loud buzz and other mechanical noises coming from walls all night. Front desk workers unfriendly and unprofessional. The only positive was friendly Dan at the security desk.

Bedroom has no air circulation. You breathe in wet dirty air. The rooms are filthy. The bedding is atrocious and uncomfortable. The non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. Zero amenities are offered. The bathroom tile has mold growing behind it all around. I got a fever and very sick after staying here. You would be better off sleeping in your car. This place is a 1-2 star hotel.

Soon as you walk in you can smell smoke , that was a turn off . Room was clean but dated . Hall carpet could you cleaning. But the price was great. All rooms non smoking which was a bonus & food was good especially for us late checkin pp

We checked into our room in the early afternoon. The sink in the bathroom would not drain. We were moved to another room as we were told that they had no maintenance on duty. We checked into the second room only to find out that this sink also would not drain. We were then moved to a third room. The manager on staff did go up to check the sink in this room. We had to cart our luggage down to the check-in desk twice. No maintenance on a Wednesday afternoon? I don’t think we would stay here again.

surprised to see there is no refrigerator in the room. But the disgusting factor were the dead roaches on the floor under the chair I moved closer to the window to read my book .....yuck!!!

The room was disgusting. There was balled leftover clothing on the desk chair. Big piece of long hair on pillow. Wall falling apart in bathroom with pieces of dry wall on floor. Wall paper peeling off. Tub chipped and rusted. Floor needed to be swept. Will never visit again.

Room was very clean. Air conditioner was loud, and woke me up every time it turned on. The drain was very slow in the shower. Beds were not very comfortable. All and all was ok-probably stay elsewhere next time I come to Wheeling.

Nice casino. Hotel is okay but old. Needs renovation. We had a third floor room which had a terrible view of the casino roof. Ice machine did not work on the floor. Had to go to the fourth floor for a working ice machine. Loud humming noise all night in the room. Have to stand in line with people getting casino cards to check in. Only one person on duty.

The room was beautiful, very spacious, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very beautiful and I had the best hottest shower . The staff at the check-in desk was very kind . My stay would have been perfect except, there was no refrigerator, microwave,or a coffee/tea pot in the room or on our floor such as in lounge area..Also when I tried to watch TV the TV did not work , just a notice came on the TV to say no signal

For an overnight stay, room wasn't bad. But if someone plans to do a weekend stay, a fridge would be nice. Beds are double instead of queen so it's a bit smaller if you're used to queens in other hotels. Room itself had a lot of space to lay things out but still be able to walk around. As far as the casino goes: - having never gone here in many many years, it made me appreciate Ohio's no smoking ban. Yes there is non smoking area, but majority of the casino was smoking area, but thankfully not enough people were around to really fill the place up with a ton of smoke. - lots of machines and spacious. machines are not too close to each other where it can get crowded quickly. - One end section that was fill with multiple different buffalo games was nice.

The hotel is a typical casino hotel; everything is inconvenient (parking, check-in, shopping…) except for access to the casino, which is super convenient. The dining options at the casino are limited as are their hours of operation. Maintenance generally seems ok but details like peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, slow draining tub, and pealed paint on an access panel in the bathroom left me unimpressed.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. I couldn't figure out the t.v. remote nor could I figure out how to turn off the light behind the t.v. Thus I didn't sleep well. Was a little disappointed there wasn't a coffee maker in the room.

We left behind a blanket and called and it’s not there. The housekeeping staff threw it away. It’s clearly an old item. 64 years and they tossed it. It can NOT be replaced. We are physically sick over this.

First of all, we stay at this casino at least once or twice a month and usually its fantastic. We get player rewards which include free nights. This particular time there were no perks and my 90 y/o mother really wanted to go this particulr time since it worked for everyones schedule. She loves to go for the great shopping in the area so we paid for our 2 nights. The first night we got maybe 3 hours sleep thanks to the loud drunks in the room next to us fighting and yelling. We thought they would eventually stop but no, after a couple hours later still going. I called front desk. Security promptly came and things settled down for a little bit..they started back up until one of them left...long story short, after security advised us to see if this bunch was staying the next night of our stay. Explained to Front desk who advised us they (the fighting drunks) WERE indeed staying another night and they (front desk) could move us. Well the drunks should have been the ones to move, or better yet, asked to leave the casinocompletely. Not us. This was the one & only time we've had an inconvenient experience. I dont know why they placed people in rooms next to each other. Clearly there were plenty of empty rooms that patrons could have been separated throughout the floors. Normally this is a very nice place to stay.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was woken up at 8:00 a.m. by nonstop drilling coming from inside the hotel. The noise continued continuously and made it impossible to rest or sleep. This is a hotel and casino — not a construction site — and there was no disclosure at booking or at check-in that this would be happening. When I went to the front desk, I was told they “couldn’t do anything” because I booked through Hotels.com and that Hotels.com was supposed to inform me. That response is unacceptable. Construction noise originating from the property is the hotel’s responsibility, regardless of booking platform. There was no attempt to relocate us, stop the noise, or offer any compensation. The lack of accountability and guest service was just as bad as the noise itself. Being woken up early by drilling and then dismissed by staff completely ruined the stay. I would not recommend staying here unless you are comfortable being woken up early by construction with no warning and no support from management. Extremely disappointing experience.

First, we had to go through a metal detector to enter. I set off the detector and was told to leave my luggage and walk through it again. I didn't set off the detector so I was told it was ok. They never searched the luggage to see why it went off...... Why bother with a detector if you're not checking?? Second, when I approached the check in counter, the lady who was working was down right rude.i said hello and said I was checking in and gave her my last name. She rudely stated "I need the ID of the person whose name it's under." I handed her my ID and then she handed it back without looking at me and stated "your room isn't ready." When I finally asked her an approximate time frame she said "maybe 30-40 minutes" I had to wheel my luggage around the casino until the room was ready. Not so much as an apology, please, thank you... nothing!! Had to go through security and metal detector every time we left and came back to the casino. Will not be returning!!!!!

As non-gamblers, we can't comment on the gambling aspect, but the hotel and rooms themselves were clean and it offered more than your average hotel. We did have a blood stain on our sheets and they offered to move us to a different room, but we chose to get different sheets instead. Free coffee in the morning, but no free breakfast. Free parking, felt safe leaving the car in the parking lot, even in that community. I would not recommend walking around the area, as Wheeling Island is run-down, but it was a short drive to everything Wheeling and the surrounding area has to offer. Good price for what you get, BUT we added a second weekday night and it was $20 more than buying through Expedia. Check your pricing before buying.

The property was fine, is in definiet need of remodeling. Bathroom sink was cracked, pulls on the dresser drawers were missing. Spots on the rug. It was clean. Just needs some upgrades. The buufet at lunch was expensive for what you get. The snack area food was good, once we figured out how to order it. Had to leave property for breafast. We would visit again, just know what to expect.
