The Manor House At Celtic Manor

Spa, pool and gym are popular and generally excellent, though bookings are needed and occasional features (sauna/jacuzzi, lockers) were out of order. Parking is on site but expensive and a walk from the Manor House; the bar has a good atmosphere but service can be slow.

Many guests found rooms clean and housekeeping tidy. Others reported dust, damp or musty smells, moths/cobwebs, dirty linens, and threadbare carpets, with occasional issues like stained baths or worn public areas.

Rooms are often spacious and comfortable with period character, but many feel dated with worn carpets and some noise from corridors or adjoining doors. Heating or air‑conditioning can be inconsistent and in‑room extras such as bottled water or robes are sometimes missing.

Staff are frequently described as friendly, professional and accommodating, with some going above and beyond and occasional upgrades. Conversely, check‑in can be slow or disrupted and bar or reception response is sometimes delayed or hard to reach.

Convenient for the ICC and regional travel, with easy motorway and public transport access. The Manor House is a walk from the main resort and car parks, and signage between areas can be confusing.

Breakfast is widely praised and restaurants such as PAD, The Grill and Rafters earn positive feedback. Prices are high, some buffet items have been cold, and reservations can book up quickly.
