VP is on its own island with a private beach and 3 pools. You check in on the mainland, then take their ferry to the resort. The resort itself is beautiful and enormous. There are 3 restaurants on site with 1 buffet restaurant that offers so much variety of food that we didn’t find the need to get off the island. We really enjoyed our stay because it has the feel of being on a resort. The only feedback is make the indoor pool available during the day when iis too hot to swim outdoor and the outdoor pool available at night when the water cools at night.

The most outstanding facility for us at Vinpearl Resort in cold December is their heated indoor pool on the 3rd floor. You can have a comfortable swim early in the morning or late at night, and the pool was relatively empty each time we visited it over our three-night stay. The boat transfer to and from the ferry terminal to the resort island is frequent and convenient, allowing us to make frequent trip out to Halong town and visit the seafood restaurants nearby the ferry terminal. The resort's breakfast spread was generous with both western and local dishes. Do try their prepare-on-request beef, chicken or meat ball pho (soup rice noodles), excellent. The rooms were spacious, clean and generally comfortable. All in all, an enjoyable stay.

We found the hotel to be stylish and well maintained, with a pool area that looked inviting. The outdoor pool water was a little chilly, but still fine for swimming. The free sauna was a nice perk, though cleanliness could be improved — the same cotton swab lay on the floor for three days, towels were scattered around, and the benches were worn with some nails sticking out. My wife visited the women’s sauna, where an Asian group of women were bathing in their underwear and someone was washing laundry in the sink. The floor and drains were full of hair, which was unpleasant. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. The hotel gym was decent and allowed for a good workout, with cold drinks and bananas available. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We had originally booked just one night, but ended up staying for four nights.

This hotel is on its own island. The rooms with a terrace exit are exceptional. The food options vary from traditional dishes to the exceptional Italian restaurant inside the hotel. The laundry service is exceptional. It’s its own self contained island and everyone that is there is supposed to be there. The breakfast buffet is memorable. The hotel and staff have options to accommodate every kind of need. There was constant follow up on how the experience be is going and any concerns are immediately addressed. This is one of the most luxurious hotels I have ever been a guest at. Don’t forget sunscreen, the pool is large and the bike riding area is huge. This experience will not disappoint.

Breathtaking location for Ha Long Bay. Customer service made check run smoothly and helped to bring luggage directly to room. Love that they offer 24 hour private shuttle to mainland and have facial recognition to be able to go back and forth from main land making things run efficiently. The rooms were clean, modern, and balcony view was beautiful. Buffet was delicious and had a variety of food well seasoned along with view of the ocean. Many activities to do on island from pool, gym, spa, and pickleball. Only compliant is that the jacuzzi didn't work at spa when I went in evening. Prices were affordable for stay and 5 star treatment. The steakhouse restaurant had great customer service, delicious food, and amazing atmosphere with lighting for dinner time.

The property is marvelously maintained. The buffet has food for everyone and the quality of ingredients are very high. Very big pools both inside and outside. Inside heated outside not. Wish they post a sign to say so.

Absolutely unreal from start to finish. Was VERY pleased on all aspects and will definitely be back again. Food was excellent. Ferry shuttle was always running, pool was amazing, beautiful views, sauna/steam room was a great touch. Loved it all!!

Clean, good size room with good balcony overlooking the swimming pools and great view over Ha Long Bay towards the World Heritage Site 1800 limestone humps in the bay. Service was excellent and the hotel was beautiful with marble throughout, loveely statues and fountains and beaiutifully kept extensive gardens and trees. Indoor swimming pool also provided and sauna, steam room jacuzzi. Highly recommended.

The property was immaculate and the staff were all very friendly, knowlegable, helpful and fluent in English. The only problem we encountered was our room temperature was very hot and i could not adjust the thermostat.

What an amazing Hotel, set onnits own island with ferry transfers to the mainland every few minutes. The condition of the hotel and surroundings were excellent. Cleanliness and hygiene were really really good. The jewels in the crown were the Staff, they were 1st class and did everything they could to make our stay amazing. As far as 5 star hotels in Vietnam go, this has to be the best one we've stayed at. We found HaLong Bay area to be a little quiet, so we asked to transfer part of our stay to VinPearl In Nha Trang (I'll do a review on that resort a little later), the staff were extremely helpful and organised everything for us. I have to say, I've stayed in Hundreds of hotels and this one is by Far the best I've stayed at. Cannot fault anything. Well done VinPearl HaLong Bay and thank you for a fabulous experience.

飯店距離下龍灣本島五分鐘船程，每20分鐘一班有接駁船，整座飯店看似整修過，豪華漂亮，可悠閒散步海灘，還有超大泳池，四周庭園極美，早餐也好吃，真是個人間天堂。缺點:窗簾灰塵太多，導致過敏。

Staff are amazing. Place is lovely. Rooms are good. Food is excellent especially the Pavillion and Italian restaurants. You feel like a VIP all the time. Only criticism relates to the Bayview restaurnat where you have breakfast (and if you wish a buffet at lunch and/or dinner) - I know we are dealing with high volumes, but there was a lack of cleanliness in regard to the tables. After a group leave a table, the table should be cleared AND wiped down properly - shaking the placements onto the floor is not sufficient. This was not a one-off but a systematic issue - and one easliy sorted.

We booked and requested (in writing) a high-level room with pool and ocean view (which is what we paid extra for); Room wasn’t on a high level, and guest relations started arguing it was (while we witnessed the guests before us checking in 2 floors higher); The room didn’t have a pool view; The room’s television connections didn’t work; The balcony could not be used as it stank outdoors. We had to spend time complaining, were frustrated the room wasn’t as promised and TV didn’t work. We changed rooms and were offered some fruit for our trouble. In our next room: The TV worked; We requested housekeeping to clean our room, and left the room so they could clean; We had to spend time complaining, were frustrated the room wasn’t cleaned as promised and to make it worse, housekeeping lied that they in fact cleaned the room, but didn’t want to touch our stuff, while the bed wasn’t made up, towels weren't changed, bins weren’t emptied and toiletries not replenished. We were offered orange juice as compensation; The fridge stank and didn’t work properly – it wasn’t even cool; Given we experienced a lot of troubles by now, we were offered a room upgrade, but only for our last night. On other occasions: The private beach was littered with small Styrofoam pallets, some plastic bottles and some other waste, so we could not use the beach; Food prices in restaurants are bad value for money and gave me food poisoning; Staff speak poor English.

Amazing place overall. Some facilities are a bit worn out such as stand lamps, fridge in our room wasn't working, and TV needs some proper reset as some apps doesn't properly install anymore. Despite all those, the big question is would we come back again? Definitely, my son had fun and loved every other areas it offers. The office room is also very quiet and has good net speed if you plan to do some work just incase. It has a souvenir store which sells family friendly items, and also offers over counter medicines on the clinic. However if you need very specific needs or items you may need to travel outside the island.

Sub par hotel, littered with fake reviews on other sites, certainly did not live up to a 5 star hotel. Loud non sounproofed rooms, with dated and worn fittings and carpets. The hotel was hosting a large wedding which meant all but 1 resturant on the island was available to non wedding guests. The wedding was loud and continued with parts music around the pool area all day and night until 4am, resulting in poor quality sleep if any. The hotel has a policy of no outside food on the island, which if caught is punishable by a fine. Food on the island is overpriced and poor quality, options to eat in ha long are minimal, in essence it creates a real feeling odlf being trapped.

The property was immaculate and the staff were all very friendly, knowlegable, helpful and fluent in English. The only problem we encountered was our room temperature was very hot and i could not adjust the thermostat.

Location of the property and the grounds are great and impossible to beat—private beach, indoor and outdoor pool, 3 onsite restaurants etc. We stayed in an executive 1 bed suite, and in the half bath/guest bath, there’s no towel hooks or towels provided. Overall resort looks like it’s been around for 30 years. All the walls are beat up and property isn’t maintained too well. The staff are attentive and great which made up for it. However, the other guests there are just awful. They’re loud, don’t understand personal space or manners, children are running around uncontrolled especially in the buffet, everyone coughs and sneezes without covering their mouth, people bump into eachother with no regard. Not sure if it’s a cultural thing, but I was expecting a certain level of class and sophistication from a 5 star resort. This seemed like most guests were locals. Would probably recommend the is to others but would definitely reiterate the issues so one is to set their expectations accordingly.

The view from the room was awesome. Just for the view I would come back here. The picture I added does not do it justice. On these reviews there is a lot of discussion whether it should be a 4 star or 5 star hotel. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel but a great value 4 star one. After you check in you get a WhatsApp message from a virtual concierge. I used her a lot. Best deal you get is if you prepay breakfast, lunch and dinner. However if you stay couple of days you may not want to eat buffet food all the time. Then you can order a-la-carte or eat in the Pavilion and you are supposed to get a credit (if you prepaid for the buffet). The Pavilion had the best food but the service was terrible on the 2nd night we were there. They were insufficiently staffed for the amount of guests - that is one of the reasons it is not a 5 star hotel. The other reason is that you do not really have service at the pool. You have to go to the pool bar to make an order. They will then bring it to you…. My wife and I both had incredible massages. Was not the cheapest (in town you probably would pay much less) but the room and changing room were nice and spotless. Tried to book a 4 hr boat ride with the folks that have a desk in the lobby. But they could offer only a boat that has space for 40 for more than $300. Wish they had had cheaper options for smaller parties. The bill was totally unclear. Did not get the credit for the a-la-card meals. Had to use the Concierge to sort it out.

We were very pleased with our stay at The Vin Pearl Resort. Lovely big property and very well kept. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They were willing to help you with anything you needed. The general manager Kristof was so kind and friendly and helpful to us. I would recommend this hotel

We picked this property because it resides on an island and is very unique. We were looking to relax at a resort and enjoy some downtime. This hotel was perfect for that. The resort is large and beautiful, the pool was large, we enjoyed lots of swim time in the pool. Our rooms were facing the ocean view, and we can just walk down to the beach from our room within minutes. Definitely a 5-star property. A small negative was the staff were not very well verse in English, it was good that my sister could speak some Vietnamese to help bridge the gap. Overall, our experience at Vinpearl was great, a wonderful hotel to stay at and the price to stay there was very fair.

Staff are amazing. Place is lovely. Rooms are good. Food is excellent especially the Pavillion and Italian restaurants. You feel like a VIP all the time. Only criticism relates to the Bayview restaurnat where you have breakfast (and if you wish a buffet at lunch and/or dinner) - I know we are dealing with high volumes, but there was a lack of cleanliness in regard to the tables. After a group leave a table, the table should be cleared AND wiped down properly - shaking the placements onto the floor is not sufficient. This was not a one-off but a systematic issue - and one easliy sorted.

For a 5 star premium hotel it seriously underperformed. Good food although centred around a buffet style which felt a bit conveyerbelt with staff not collecting dirty plates and very repetitive roads day. All entries into restaurants was by facial scan which just felt so impersonal like a controlled cafe. Bar had ran out of rum (all week) so couldn’t make most of their signature cocktails, and not many premium spirits and struggled to make normal cocktails. More all-inclusive quality. Food left round the pool and not collected for hours and lack of sunbeds (about 30 total for whole area). inside bar which wouldn’t serve us one night after 10:40 as closing at 11, and ordering pricey and not even nuts or something to align with any other 5* and then switch lights and ambient music off on you when we sitting there at 11:10 but no where else to sit. There was a typhoon warning whilst we were there and cancelled boats. Only way we even knew was after a local taxi driver told us and we enquired at reception and they told us last boat home was 2pm. Shame as the location and hotel its self and location and looks like they focus attention on weddings rather than individual guests. It is beautiful and just feels poorly managed/staff attitude compared to other hotels including the second hotel we moved to in Hanoi which is far superior. Would we stay again, yes as low cost in low season but would think twice if they price like other 5*s elsewhere we had been.

Attractive, self contained resort with high end furnishings, room space and facilities. The ferries are not too frequent, so you do need to make time for commuting to and from the main land. Staff are good however were a little slow with some communication. Otherwise a great stay for a few nights.

Overall not a great experience - check in of bags was not great, didn’t bring bags to the room as they tagged the wrong room number, wrong name on the welcome letter in room, and on check out put our bags on a coach we wasn’t going on… almost lost them - don’t seem to take care of luggage, beware!

The hotel is really nice and in a very nice location, but that's about it. Bad service, no staff can speak English, despite it being an international hotel, staff know nothing, no manager can speak English, and there is no service at all. It is such a poor standard of service that it is indescribable. If you want to have a proper service and a relaxed place, then you should not choose this hotel. incompetent employee and staff all around. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, ever.

The most outstanding facility for us at Vinpearl Resort in cold December is their heated indoor pool on the 3rd floor. You can have a comfortable swim early in the morning or late at night, and the pool was relatively empty each time we visited it over our three-night stay. The boat transfer to and from the ferry terminal to the resort island is frequent and convenient, allowing us to make frequent trip out to Halong town and visit the seafood restaurants nearby the ferry terminal. The resort's breakfast spread was generous with both western and local dishes. Do try their prepare-on-request beef, chicken or meat ball pho (soup rice noodles), excellent. The rooms were spacious, clean and generally comfortable. All in all, an enjoyable stay.

This is a hotel on an island. That sounds daunting but when you realize there are boats back to mainland (that take about 5 minutes) and they operate 24 hrs a day, it is easy to forget. This is a true 5 star property. Great amenities and we had an amazing suite type room with stellar views. I highly recommend this hotel.

Breathtaking location for Ha Long Bay. Customer service made check run smoothly and helped to bring luggage directly to room. Love that they offer 24 hour private shuttle to mainland and have facial recognition to be able to go back and forth from main land making things run efficiently. The rooms were clean, modern, and balcony view was beautiful. Buffet was delicious and had a variety of food well seasoned along with view of the ocean. Many activities to do on island from pool, gym, spa, and pickleball. Only compliant is that the jacuzzi didn't work at spa when I went in evening. Prices were affordable for stay and 5 star treatment. The steakhouse restaurant had great customer service, delicious food, and amazing atmosphere with lighting for dinner time.

Wow a huge hotel with a lot of rooms. The service was excellent. Great eating in options. This hotel is on an island so you need to plan your day to get back on boat etc that only run every 30 mins. Given the amount of people this hotel can have there was a lot of noise at night and early in the morning.

The hotel was fabulous and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I enjoyed the Spa every day and it was amazing! The breakfast buffet should nnot be missed, the best choices of foods and the pastries and fruit are delicious! The area is not walkable, you'll need a taxi to take you places. There is only one overpriced mall in the area - other than that it is a ghost-town during the day. At night you can go to the Halong Night Market and pickup some fun things. The restaurants in the hotel are not great. The Akoya was super overpriced and it didn't come with any side dishes or bread or salad?!?! I ordered the fish and that's all that was on my plate. If you're going to charge such high prices, why not add some veggies and rice or potato to the plate??? Hardly anyone is going in to eat, so that says a lot! The other restaurant, the Pavillion, was beautiful. It sits on the dock so you have gorgeous views of the water. I did enjoy the steak there, very nicely cooked and it came with veggies and potato. Order it you won't be sorry! Overall, I would say the stay was nice, but it is completely empty all day, as all the tourists are riding on some bus or boat. It was a very pretty hotel and I got lots of rest there. Glad I stayed there.

We found the hotel to be stylish and well maintained, with a pool area that looked inviting. The outdoor pool water was a little chilly, but still fine for swimming. The free sauna was a nice perk, though cleanliness could be improved — the same cotton swab lay on the floor for three days, towels were scattered around, and the benches were worn with some nails sticking out. My wife visited the women’s sauna, where an Asian group of women were bathing in their underwear and someone was washing laundry in the sink. Great Stay, But Food & Beverage Needs Work We recently stayed at Vinpearl and had a generally positive experience, but there’s room for improvement in certain areas. The good stuff: The views are stunning, the pool area is fantastic, and the staff are friendly and attentive, creating a relaxing, luxury atmosphere. The beers are also surprisingly affordable for a hotel of this standard. The not-so-good: The food and beverage experience didn’t match the hotel’s luxury feel. While the breakfast buffet was quite good, the pho soup lacked authenticity, tasting more like fast food than a national dish. Dinner at the Pavillion restaurant didn’t meet expectations either. While the staff were friendly, service was inconsistent: wine glasses weren’t refilled, dishes arrived out of sync, and tables weren’t cleared properly. It lacked the attention to detail you’d expect from a 5-star property. Lunch by the pool was similarly disappointing. The spring rolls were fine, but the club sandwich arrived cold and soggy, and the fries were lukewarm. Waiting 30 minutes for this, with no cutlery or napkins provided, added to the frustration. Despite these hiccups, the handwritten note from the General Manager addressing concerns was a nice touch. Would we stay here again? Yes—but we’d eat out every night and stock up on snacks at Circle K. Vinpearl gets many things right, but its food and beverage service has more in common with Fawlty Towers than fine dining.

Despite these hiccups, the handwritten note from the General Manager addressing concerns was a nice touch. Would we stay here again? Yes—but we’d eat out every night and stock up on snacks at Circle K. Vinpearl gets many things right, but its food and beverage service has more in common with Fawlty Towers than fine dining.

Wonderful resort with breathtaking view from our room. Room is very clean, nice and comfortable. The staffs are very attentive, polite and helpful. Got our breakfast coffee made by Mr. Huy Thắng, very appreciate with the care by the staffs here. We love here so much that we extended our stay for another 2 days. The only thing need to be improved is the restaurant here is a little pricey for dinner and didn’t have much choices, had to go out for dinner. Other than that, we are really love this resort. Will come back again soon.

Staff are amazing. Place is lovely. Rooms are good. Food is excellent especially the Pavillion and Italian restaurants. You feel like a VIP all the time. Only criticism relates to the Bayview restaurnat where you have breakfast (and if you wish a buffet at lunch and/or dinner) - I know we are dealing with high volumes, but there was a lack of cleanliness in regard to the tables. After a group leave a table, the table should be cleared AND wiped down properly - shaking the placements onto the floor is not sufficient. This was not a one-off but a systematic issue - and one easliy sorted.

My only issue was the way that other guests behaved in the buffet restaurant. Young children were allowed to handle food (and even taste and lick) and plates at the buffet and then not take it so that it was left for another unsuspecting guest. I got sick with mild food poisoning at the hotel which is what made me take notice of the behavior at the buffet. Staff should be supervising and also have a rule that no children under 12 should be serving themselves at the buffet.

For a 5 star premium hotel it seriously underperformed. Good food although centred around a buffet style which felt a bit conveyerbelt with staff not collecting dirty plates and very repetitive roads day. All entries into restaurants was by facial scan which just felt so impersonal like a controlled cafe. Bar had ran out of rum (all week) so couldn’t make most of their signature cocktails, and not many premium spirits and struggled to make normal cocktails. More all-inclusive quality. Food left round the pool and not collected for hours and lack of sunbeds (about 30 total for whole area). inside bar which wouldn’t serve us one night after 10:40 as closing at 11, and ordering pricey and not even nuts or something to align with any other 5* and then switch lights and ambient music off on you when we sitting there at 11:10 but no where else to sit. There was a typhoon warning whilst we were there and cancelled boats. Only way we even knew was after a local taxi driver told us and we enquired at reception and they told us last boat home was 2pm. Shame as the location and hotel its self and location and looks like they focus attention on weddings rather than individual guests. It is beautiful and just feels poorly managed/staff attitude compared to other hotels including the second hotel we moved to in Hanoi which is far superior. Would we stay again, yes as low cost in low season but would think twice if they price like other 5*s elsewhere we had been.

The view from the room was awesome. Just for the view I would come back here. The picture I added does not do it justice. On these reviews there is a lot of discussion whether it should be a 4 star or 5 star hotel. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel but a great value 4 star one. After you check in you get a WhatsApp message from a virtual concierge. I used her a lot. Best deal you get is if you prepay breakfast, lunch and dinner. However if you stay couple of days you may not want to eat buffet food all the time. Then you can order a-la-carte or eat in the Pavilion and you are supposed to get a credit (if you prepaid for the buffet). The Pavilion had the best food but the service was terrible on the 2nd night we were there. They were insufficiently staffed for the amount of guests - that is one of the reasons it is not a 5 star hotel. The other reason is that you do not really have service at the pool. You have to go to the pool bar to make an order. They will then bring it to you…. My wife and I both had incredible massages. Was not the cheapest (in town you probably would pay much less) but the room and changing room were nice and spotless. Tried to book a 4 hr boat ride with the folks that have a desk in the lobby. But they could offer only a boat that has space for 40 for more than $300. Wish they had had cheaper options for smaller parties. The bill was totally unclear. Did not get the credit for the a-la-card meals. Had to use the Concierge to sort it out.

We have been to Vietnam before and this is the first time we decided to stay with Vinpearl. We typically stay at Accor Hotels. In summary this is at best a 3 star hotel. Carpet on our floor smelled horrible, beach was disgusting, rubbish floating around the beach, room service knocked on our door around 8 am to clean our room, we had to ask for water on a number of times as when they clean the room they don’t provide water, completely overpriced, breakfast was horrible. we stayed at the Sofitel (a true 5 star hotel) for the same price, also it is apparent they are a hotel chain for local tourism not overseas tourism. I would not recommend to anyone.
