Checking in was fine , but I had to go out to my brothers and didn't get back until after 9 pm. There were no handicap parking spots, a big work truck was parked there with no handicap card or plate. It never left for the 2 days I was there. Not one parking spot I could find. Maybe Mc Donald's would have allowed me to park there. As a single woman and handicapped I didn't feel comfortable parking at the next store parking lot. I came into lobby and told the woman and she offered to move her car to under the canopy so I could have her spot. Very kind of her. The noise coming from right under my window of people at their cars having a good old time until about 1am. Then I could finally fall asleep. The next day I came back before 4pm to make sure I would get a handicap spot and again no where to park. I won't stay anymore, you need more then 2 handicap spots! Don't let anyone just park there.

I was impressed with the check in. The clerk reviewed exits in case of an emergency and that the key is needed to enter all exterior doors except the main entrance. The only negative was limited parking spaces

The first issue we dealt with is that the card open the door cannot be put near your phone or your car keys otherwise you cannot get into the room. We had to replace the keys twice. The system is archaic. The ice machine on the second floor was nonfunctional. We reported that to the manager and it appeared that his this has been the case for a while and he told us we had to come down in the first floor lobby to get ice. The hotel meets the bare minimum of staying there. I would search for other options. A noisy night with some strange sounds coming from the next room.

Everything here was fine, for the price. Nothing fancy, no pool, the gym had no weights. But the free breakfast was solid, and my room was made up on the 2nd day of my 3 day stay which was a nice surprise.

Clean room, fast check-in, and friendly service. Since I was solo traveling, I felt better that I was on the bottom floor and felt that the area was still quiet and safe. The only thing is the parking. There’s only one main entrance to get into the hotel, which is still good, but if you park in the back or far side of the hotel and it’s raining, just be prepared to walk in the rain for a bit. When I was checking out, I couldn’t wait for someone ant the front desk, but I left my key card on the counter and called the front desk later to confirm that they checked me out. Everything went smoothly. Overall, not a bad experience and would definitely come back again.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We only stayed 1 night, arriving late and left early the next day. Parking is free but there didn’t seem to be much of it. The lot is shared with a gas station and McDonalds. The front desk person was welcoming and checked us in quickly. I'd stay again on our next road trip.

I've never stayed at a dirty hotel so with that in mind, I'd say this was the most unclean. However, the bed was GREAT - very comfortable! There wasn't any coffee (lobby machine was out of order as well as the pot in my room) and the ice machine on my floor was out of order. I didn't appreciate 'discovering' these things... along with the proximity to a railroad crossing that I had to hear the horn of trains passing a couple of times throughout the night. I liked that we shared the parking lot/area with a McDonald's and a Shell gas station in case I needed them. But, it also meant late night traffic (loud music). For whatever reason, I was placed at the very end of the hall upstairs. There were other patrons who squatted in the hall to talk on the phone and hearing male voices outside my door in the evenings made me uncomfortable.

Stained furniture everywhere, staring from lobby, stinky hallway, Stained carpet and curtain in the room, tv removet control was missing part that covers batteries. When I called servise to let them know, they said that it is fine ....?!

The property is as advertised and serves its purpose for a safe place to stay a night or two. The room we stayed in was in need of some serious updates from what appeared to be black mold from a bathroom vent, cracking door base possibly from moisture, etc… there were long black hairs found on he bathroom door, shower, and in one bed. Surely just from when the room was cleaned, but should have been noticed and removed. A curtain was off the ring above where we could reach and light peaked through from the gas station. Pillows were an odd small square shape, more like throw pillow size. We asked for an extra pillow and were given one and told there weren’t any pillow cases available for it, which struck me as rather odd. With that said, the beds were comfortable. We felt safe. The location was convenient in its juxtaposition to 95. One person from our party had breakfast in the dining area both mornings and said it was a decent breakfast. I have food allergies so did not partake.

Room was not the cleanest. First room we were in smelt like cigarette smoke. The air and the fridge didn't work. Second room everything seemed to work. The mattress was lumpy and curtain didn't close all the way. Okay for a one night stay.

I arrived after midnight, and it was still easy to get in, and the clerk was at the desk and friendly. The room was beautiful and clean, and the shower had water as hot as I wanted it, and the bed was perfect and firm.

Great location and has nice staff. I get it if the property is old, but dirty shouldn't be an option. On the surface, it looks clean but there was black scum around the sink drain, the shower was questionable with the half-used shampoo in the tub..but the rusty towel holder and toilet paper holder? A hole in the wall from opening up the door too wide? And very dirty walls. A gallon of paint and a few items from Home Depot are all that are needed to make this place a nice place to stay. This wasn't a cheap place to stay either. The lighting was so dim, it was hard to tell if the towels were stained. It was just okay for a one-night stay, but I didn't want to use the shower in the morning. This has a great location with a gas station in the back parking lot and a McDonald's in the side parking lot. Breakfast was good enough. But they need to just make some minor improvements so guests don't feel skeeved out.

The front desk staff was wonderful. Friendly and helpful. I had stayed at a different local hotel the night before with the worse service. Check in was a breeze. The front desk laughed and joked. And the next morning she was still there and remembered the conversation.

We had to use a late check in so we called ahead and spoke to Samy who was very reassuring that we were okay. When we arrived she was so pleasant, smiling, greeted us right away. The next morning we noticed she was there working on the breakfast, still smiling and pleasant. At check-out she thanked us for our stay, calling us by name at every interaction. I would stay again simply to say hello to Samy again. The room was great, very clean and comfortable.

Room was OK, and it was clean. Extremely limited parking spaces. Trains came through all night. Check in staff was terrible. Male desk clerk couldn't find my reservation for multiple nights. Even though I showed proof of my reservation, including my receipt for payment ahead of time, no help was provided and I was cursed at and he also launched unfounded accusations. I would LOVE to see and hear the camera footage!

Clean room, fast check-in, and friendly service. Since I was solo traveling, I felt better that I was on the bottom floor and felt that the area was still quiet and safe. The only thing is the parking. There’s only one main entrance to get into the hotel, which is still good, but if you park in the back or far side of the hotel and it’s raining, just be prepared to walk in the rain for a bit. When I was checking out, I couldn’t wait for someone ant the front desk, but I left my key card on the counter and called the front desk later to confirm that they checked me out. Everything went smoothly. Overall, not a bad experience and would definitely come back again.

Sahmi at the front desk was so kind and incredibly helpful. I was traveling with my elderly mother and Aunt, and we lost our car keys temporarily. Sahmi helped us search the room after checkout, and she also found some other items left behind. All was well in the end, and her assistance and positive attitude made such a difference in our day. Sahmi is a great asset & employee!

I've never stayed at a dirty hotel so with that in mind, I'd say this was the most unclean. However, the bed was GREAT - very comfortable! There wasn't any coffee (lobby machine was out of order as well as the pot in my room) and the ice machine on my floor was out of order. I didn't appreciate 'discovering' these things... along with the proximity to a railroad crossing that I had to hear the horn of trains passing a couple of times throughout the night. I liked that we shared the parking lot/area with a McDonald's and a Shell gas station in case I needed them. But, it also meant late night traffic (loud music). For whatever reason, I was placed at the very end of the hall upstairs. There were other patrons who squatted in the hall to talk on the phone and hearing male voices outside my door in the evenings made me uncomfortable.

Had a very enjoyable two night stay at this property. The front desk personnel were fantastic! Sammy was friendly, helpful and accommodating from the time we checked in through our check out time. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker really came in handy. There was a complementary self-serve breakfast each morning that had something for everyone. Waffles, sausage, eggs. Hot and cold cereals. Toast, bagels, muffins. Excellent coffee, a selection of juices, fresh fruit, and yogurt! Will definitely stay at this property again. Thanks for the old fashioned customer service.

Check-in was good. Property pretty clean. Not such a good location for restaurants or shopping. Only a couple of fast food places & 2 gas stations. Very surprised when the Trains went by every few hours. I thought it was coning thru the room !!! Breakfast was weak at best. No Eggs when I went down at 8 A.M. I asked and the attendant sais they were done.

Everything here was fine, for the price. Nothing fancy, no pool, the gym had no weights. But the free breakfast was solid, and my room was made up on the 2nd day of my 3 day stay which was a nice surprise.

This might be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Our room smelled so strongly of BO that we put T shirts over the pillows because the pillow cases actually stunk. There is a Mcdonalds on one side, a 7 11 on the other with gas pumps- traffic, trash and beaming lights in the windows all night. Our curtains were torn and taped back up with duct tape. The lobby smelled like a sewage back up. The coffee was actually decent, one redeeming item. However all the cereal was stale. I hated this hotel so much! I don't normally write any negative reviews but this was pretty gross. Price should have been around the $69/night mark... then I would have known to steer clear. For $169/night, I knew we weren't getting the Taj Mahal, but a cheap decent hotel was fine for what we needed. This was neither cheap nor decent.

My stay at the Comfort Inn South Chesterfield was pleasant. The staff and cleaning service was very good. The breakfast was great. The only issue we had was the smell of marijuana coming out of rooms 304 and 305. We stayed in room 307. I'm sure the staff could smell it as well. I hope someone addressed that or at least got fined the $250 the elevator sign stated.
