Love the spacious suites with an attached parking garage. Convenient walking distance to everything downtown.

I liked the "the no contact" check in and out and room was accessible via "digital key". One thing to note overnight parking near the hotel is very conveniently attached to hotel, but does cost $38 per night for overnight parking... not included in hotel rates.

Pretty upset no one mentioned the pool was going to be out of order for our stay. They closed the pool the day prior for the entire week, so our stay was pretty much ruined by this with zero warning or upfront notification from the property. Even at check-in the manager noted where the pool is then when going down to the pool we were met with a notice on the door that the pools closed...

Great location, walk to Van Andel, spacious room, comfortable beds, good breakfast, clean room, hotel navigation can be a bit challenging, parking is outrageous at $38!

Nice property. Nice location. Check in was not helpful. No directions on parking garage or how to get to room. No view from room as window faced interior hallway.

This stay was perfect for our weekend visit to Grand Rapids. The hotel was clean and quiet, excellent location, and served great breakfast. The only negative was parking. There is a garage attached to the hotel but it’s not well-marked as hotel parking, and there is no specific info within booking information. Otherwise, parking is convenient and easy in/out.

The only let down was the roof top bar. Waited 40 minutes and still couldn’t get a beverage. Only one waitress serving. Other than that very happy with the hotel accommodations. Would definitely stay again.

The stay overall was great. However, one of the main reasons we booked was for the rooftop patio, which we learned once we got there that none of the hotel bars are open Sunday or Monday. We were very disappointed none of this information was available anywhere until we got there, as these were the only days we were there. The location is wonderful for other restaurants and bars, so it didn’t ruin the trip but I wish we knew!

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel room. We have stayed here many times but this time it was bad. From stains in the carpet, the room smelled, the bathroom smelled like urine.

Loud, parking was a mess, dirty dishes in dishwasher.

Found a dirty comb with nasty hair in it up in closet where extra pillow and blanket were. It was touching the pillow I wasn’t able to use it. Might want to change pillow case on that. Dishwasher still had dishes in it. There is a plate in cupboard that still has something on it. Dirty. Room was fine other than that.

We loved the old brick and wood floors. The hotel was close to many restaurants and the venue we traveled to visit. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. The duvet had pizza grease on it, the mattress cover had a large blood spot on it (not a stain), and there were crumbs under the ottoman.

Way less than I expected for a Hilton at this price. The room was advertised city view....which if you think one window looking into a brick Wall in a parking deck it the city.... technically it was. There was no window that saw outside. Also, the place was not clean. There were dishes left in the dishwasher and hair all over. My child actually picked up a hair comb/pick and was carrying it around. We rented a suite for 5 and it came with two wash cloths. Clearly we could have asked for something different,.but when you are traveling with 2 year olds you are just happy to get to your room. Lots of choices in Grand Rapids. I will not choose this one again.

The property was interesting, a renovated apartment complex perhaps, had a lofty feel. Our view was another stone wall. The room was okay, could have been cleaner. The staff was polite.

The staff is very friendly. The facilities itself is not very clean especially in our room the wood floors had dust in every single corner and stains on the carpet. The wood floors creek a lot so if you have somebody above you you can hear them walking.

Overall not a great stay. I get to my room and every single cabinet door and closet door was left wide open which was weird. Empty toilet paper roll left on the roller. Hair was left in the shower floor and walls. When I go to check out they would not print me a receipt and said to get it from Expedia. Every property I have ever visited through Expedia has printed a receipt for me!? I am trying to finish my expense report and the only "receipts" available for one of the 2 rooms is one that is non descriptive or I could print the itenerary that shows what I will pay, not what I have paid. Not impressed with this experience

We have stayed there in the past and always enjoy our stays, this time the room and other areas of the hotel were not as clean as it's been in the past.

Shower was dirty, asked to change rooms, was told we were getting an upgrade. We got a “bigger” room but the view was worse, still hairs in that shower as well

Very pleased with our stay. We came to town for a concert at Van Andel and were able to walk there & back with ease. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The gorgeous hardwood floors were pretty squeaky but it didn’t bother us any. Parking was kinda pricy but that’s to be expected in the city. I wish we would have stayed longer and took advantage of the salt water pool!

It's a very nice option in staying downtown. I wish you didn't have to pay to use their parking garage. The room has a thermostat but it didn't seem to work. It was very hot in the room even though it was set at 65.

Virtual key did not work so had to check in at the desk which took a very long time and the receptionist did not appear to be very competent of the process nor did he have much information to share about the area. Seemed very unprofessional and under trained. Then, when we finally did get to our room, the room felt like a closet. No view of the outdoors, our window actually looked out into a hallway! Never have I stayed in a hotel where you did not have a view of the outdoors. Then our toilet quit working in the middle of the night, which I ended up fixing (who hasn’t had to fix their own toilet at home so I knew what to do). Just had to go into the tank on the back of the toilet and make a couple adjustments so the tank would fill and the toilet would flush. Wasn’t impressed at all for having to spend the kind of $$$ we did to stay there. Doubt I would stay there again.

A nice place downtown, and a bit more understated than some of the others. It's in an older building that's been reworked as a hotel, which can make for some cool spaces. Be sure to get a room down the hall from the elevator, as the outside floors are old and a bit squeaky, but the rooms themselves are nice and peaceful.

The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite was spacious and comfortable. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was a plus. One of the bedrooms windows faced the parking garage so it was noisy throughout the night. Other than that it was a great stay.

Hotel was very nice. One huge downfall is the beautiful old hardwood floors in the rooms. Extremely loud and squeaky especially when guests above you are running and stomping around. Also our suite didn’t have windows to the outside. Kind of disappointing. Also parking is not included with your stay fyi

Amazing staff. All so kind and informative. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room AC was perfect over the extreme heat this past weekend. The ceiling fan was clutch!!! Great to have full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher as well as dishes if needed. Great location for downtown, as you are within walking distance of tons of shops, restaurants and bars.

We loved the look of the rooms and they were very clean. Almost felt like you were in a loft with exposed brick. The kitchen and living area were a plus. The only issue was the wood floor was so loud. You could not walk anywhere in the room or in the hallway on our floor without it creaking.

booked my room, at check in they said I echecked in which I did not, went to my room someone else was checked in, went to front desk they did not believe me went to look for themselves and verified I was correct, found another room and someone else was checked into that room as well. after 2 hours I was finally able to get into my room. This hotel thought that only one staff member for the night was enough to check people in and take care of issues. Front desk person had to keep calling the manager. They were having some kind of computer issues and blamed it for the way I booked my room through expedia, which I do all of the time.

When we checked in the Two concierge personnel, we’re just fabulous! I can’t remember their names, but just fun to talk to you and very congenial. And then we were blessed with an upgrade! Totally unexpected. But very appreciated.

Very clean and friendly staff

We were very happy with the experience we had at this hotel. We had only one bad experience with an employee who was somewhat condescending when asked a question. Fortunately (and unfortunately) it was at the end of our stay and left a bit of a poor taste.

Unfortunately we didn’t get the experience we were hoping for with this highly rated property. Our check in process was very rocky and we could tell checking in that the staff member was very frustrated. Once getting checked in we entered our room to find another guest occupying the room and in the process of getting dressed. When we went back down to the front desk the staff member said “was there someone else in your room?”, making it obviously that he was concerned to begin with that this could be the case and it was very confusing for us. We were provided a simple apology with the blame being put on “first shift” and given a new room. We were able to speak to the manger the following morning who was very kind a provided us some compensation for the poor experience. This situation aside, we were very unimpressed with our room cleanliness. The floors in the kitchen were sticky, the carpet was dirty, there was something spilled on the floor throughout the bathroom and the pillows were stained. I’m not sure if it was standard for a two night stay or not, but we also never received any room service. The hotel was beautiful, but sadly we will be looking for other accommodations for our next stay.

The staff was absolutely fabulous there! Check in was easy and I was upgraded to another room with two beds! They couldn't have been nicer - all of them! I'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Bill at the front desk was superb. Our stay overall was great. Easy in and out with garage, breakfast was pretty good. The room was clean, but low on stock on bar soap and body wash. Cons: the floors creak a lot. If that's not your jam, maybe ask to stay on top floor. There was no body wash, and the tv was turned away from the bed area. No big deals, still would stay here again, as the staff and location were great!

We only had one night in Grand Rapids but our stay at Homewood made us wish we planned for longer. Check in was great, Prentiss was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool area was also very clean and saltwater pool was comfortably warm. Breakfast had great options- breakfast burritos, overnight oats and chia pudding were standouts that made this better that typical free breakfast. The building retained some of the historic details like exposed brick and hardwood floors, but everything felt modern and clean. We’ll definitely be back.

This hotel is in a great location in downtown Grand Rapids. The staff was great and we loved our room.

We have stayed at the Homewood Suite Downtown Grand Rapids twice in the last couple of months. This property is walkable to shopping, theater, dining, bars and event centers. The suites are very nice and spacious. They also have a nice breakfast in the morning. We will stay here again!

Beautiful old building converted to lovely hotel, we’ve stayed here before and have not been disappointed. Convenient to everything downtown GR, walking is easy to get around! Really good breakfast included!

Loved this hotel! Very clean and convenient location to Devos Place. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of hot and cold items. One of the ladies serving breakfast had an extreme attitude towards the guests, mumbling mean things under her breath. That turned an otherwise pleasant experience with the hotel sour, unfortunately.

The complimentary breakfast was mentioned but the compimentery beer and wine on the roof and soup and salad in the breakfast area was an unexpected delight. After beeing on the road most of the day it was nice not to have to go out.

The hotel is very nice. Was a little disappointed that all the amenities were closed. Rooftop bar was closed, restaurant was closed.

All they have is breakfast tacos for breakfast. Not conducive to families.
