This was our third stay at Ocean Suites and again, we were blown away by the comfort and cleanliness! Honestly, the suite looked like it had just been built - not a speck of dust anywhere. The shower has phenomenal water pressure and heats instantly. The furniture is all very comfy and the fridge and range made cooking breakfasts a snap. Quiet, clean, and within walking distance of some good restaurants. We'll be back!

Clean, quiet older property. New flooring. The building appears to be an apartment building now used as a motel. The beds were comfy. Very good staff. They asked if we wanted to be on the ground level or upstairs (no elevator). We chose upstairs. We had two queen beds. One bed was in the bedroom. The other bed was in the living room with a dining table with chairs and one larger chair. Each room had a TV. There was a small kitchen area with fridge, stove, microwave and cooking items. No AC. Ceiling fans. We didn't need either during our stay. Ocean/beach were within walking distance. We would stay again.

Very friendly front desk staff, great communication before check in. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Kitchen had full-sized fridge and stove and oven with basic cookware and utensils and nice details like coffee and aluminum foil. Really enjoyed our stay, would stay again in a heartbeat!

Very clean. Plenty of space. Located super close to harbor beach. Nice little kitchen with all the dishes that i needed to cook with and eat on. Nice seating in the living room area. Bed was comfortable too. Called me the second my room was ready for us to use. We could have checked in hours before check in time because of this. Easy room key drop off for early check out.

This motel is a great option for a stay in Brookings. We loved the spacious suite which was sparkling clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. One of the women gave us great restaurant recommendations - spot on! We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, even on a very busy night when the motel was fully booked. The locally-made bar of soap was a nice touch and it smelled wonderful. We didn't use the kitchenette but it was well-stocked with plates, utensils, glasses, etc. The full-sized fridge was a nice plus. Also, every suite has free Netflix. The one downside is that the motel doesn't have any water views (despite the name). Also, I'd booked the motel months in advance and only realized when we arrived that the rates had been reduced, up to 20% for one of our nights. I felt stupid for paying more. So it's a good idea to keep checking them and rebook if you find a better rate.

I had read mixed reviews about this property and was hesitant to book it but decided to take a chance. I’m glad that I did because it has been a GREAT stay. The rooms have been remodeled and - although it’s not upscale - EVERYTHING is thoughtfully functional: comfortable beds (with extra blankets in case you sleep cold like me), bedside tables with plenty of options for plugging in electronics, double room-darkening curtains, individual heat controls for each room if you have a multi-room suite, plenty of towels and hot water in the bathroom, etc. etc. And it is all METICULOUSLY CLEAN. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the parking lot and walkways are spotless (take notice of the potted plants near the office - they are stunning). There are several restaurants located in the harbor area near the property (the office has a list of all of the restaurants in town). The office also stocks a freezer with a good choice of frozen foods if you prefer to cook in your kitchen (including Klondike bars and/or Talenti and Hagen Dazs ice cream pints for dessert - thank you very much!). No, there’s not a view - but everything else is quite definitely all right!

Impeccable clean. Good amenities in kichenette. Extremely comfortable bed..lots of fluffy towels. They obviously pay attention to detail and care very much about cleanliness. Customer service is top notch. We were very happy with our stay.

The desk clerk at check-in was very friendly and helpful. Due to the tight parking and limited space availability, because of the size of my full-size truck, he offered me a unit near to where my truck was parked. While it was smaller than the unit I had reserved (he let me know when he made the offer), I gladly accepted the room change. While there, the batteries in the TV remote stopped working. The staff immediately gave me a replacement set of batteries. Each encounter I had with the staff was extremely positive. Each time they were cheerful and upbeat. Everything in the room was very satisfactory, except for one item. There was mold on the tile grout in the tub/shower stall. A simple spray of Tilex or a wipe down with a Clorox solution would have made quick work of eliminating the mold. That is the reason I gave 3-stars instead of 5-stars for cleanliness.

The service was great and the front desk was super nice and accommodating. My only issue was the bed was alittle uncomfortable and the carpet kind of smelled liked dog. Otherwise my stay was good. Great water pressure in the shower.

Very nice hotel with good amenities, however, the floors were very dirty and walking around with white socks had them black on the bottom while inside the room. The full service kitchen was very nice though.

Super comfortable!!! Super clean. Great customer service at the front desk and on the phone. Turned on the heater for us since we were coming in late. Spacious. Our unit was quiet. Would stay there again. Great price. Amazing coffee and food at a little at the Compass Rose cafe with great gluten free options and award winning coffee.

The room was clean. The rooms have a lot. The only problem is it felt like it was all crammed into a regular sized area. A sitting area, dining area, litchen, bedroom, and bath. It felt cramped. But clean and quiet.

Love the area, it’s convenient and across from the port. The property is clean and feels safe. The service was great- straightforward and professional. The rooms are like studio apartments complete with cookware and supplies. The best part was the Wi-fi, I travel with young adults children- we were able to cloud game on iPads with out the crazy frame skips. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. The only downside was the property is sandwiched between a lot for sale and residential driveway in a hillside so dirt tracked and debris here and there, however it’s still a lovely place.

Very spacious for 3 adults. It was like an apartment. Private bedrooms, cooking, refrigerator, 2 tvs, had plates, utensils, pots and pans. Excellent staff. I would highly recommend staying here.

Good place to stay in the area, a little pricey since we didn't need kitchen or living room. My husband didn't sleep well because it was too hot. As long as I sleep well and the bathroom experience is good, it's 5 stars for me, but my husband was sleep deprived and had a rough time the next day. Check-in experience was slow, and after 3.5 hours driving, 3 hikes, and hungry for dinner, I wish there was a faster self check-in. Usually I don't mind check-in, but this time, the front desk was unsmiling and curt. I spoke to two friendly women on the phone, and checkout was really nice and fast. We found a rotting lettuce leaf on the floor of our kitchen. Other than that, everything was good.

I booked on travelocity. At 3 pm the day of my stay. I recieved a call from the establishment. They politely asked my my physical address. After giving it to them. I was informed that THEY needed to cancel my reservation as they do not accept customers within my city and another city 50 miles away. With an 800 credit score. Payed off home. 2023 vehicle. A long term career. Living in another state. Etc.. i asked them why? The desk replied it was the owners policy. I did not see that posted anywhere prior to booking. Why? Do customers that have problems showing up to the reserved room get the same curtacy at 3 pm And allowed a full refund? I ended up booking accross the street on the ocean. Was very lucky as it was so late and a saturday. My options were very limited by 3 pm. One can only wonder why. The purpose for booking in this town. The dining options are excellant. The christmas light show spectacular. And when doing both and drinking spirits. Driving home is not a wise option. So why not spend my hard earned $$ in this community for a night and possible shopping and breakfast the next day!! I am so frustrated as to how i was treated. And the manner it went down.I will persue legal options to repair the damage done.

Was very lucky as it was so late and a saturday. My options were very limited by 3 pm. One can only wonder why. The purpose for booking in this town. The dining options are excellant. The christmas light show spectacular. And when doing both and drinking spirits. Driving home is not a wise option. So why not spend my hard earned $$ in this community for a night and possible shopping and breakfast the next day!! I am so frustrated as to how i was treated. And the manner it went down.I will persue legal options to repair the damage done.

Great property and terrific staff! Just a tad noisy in the morning (working on restoration project) but at least they waited until 9am!! Manager was awesome setting up cable for us and providing restaurant recommendations. Will definitely stay again when visiting Brookings!

This was a terrific value. The staff were extremely helpful. They provided tickets to Brookings Light Festival when we mentioned that we were going. Excellent suggestions for food. Provided a toothbrush for one of our party. Lots of little helps. I would definitely go back. Have already recommended it to several people

While planning a trip down the Oregon and California coasts, I was considering a night's stay in Crescent City or Brookings. I researched several affordable motels only to ultimately be scared away by some bad reviews. I finally came to Ocean Suites Motel in Brookings and absolutely made the right choice. Very clean. Plenty of space. Located super close to harbor beach. Nice little kitchen with all the dishes that i needed to cook with and eat on. Nice seating in the living room area. Bed was comfortable too. Called me the second my room was ready for us to use. We could have checked in hours before check in time because of this. Easy room key drop off for early check out.

Close to the working harbour of Brookings, the Ocean Suites Motel is within walking distance of several restaurants/cafes & a beach. You will need a car to venture into town. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious & really well equipt. Check in was friendly & quick. Excellent value for money & we couldnt rate it highly enough.

The location is not the best. If you hint by the window you may be able to see some water but not that much. Staff was friendly and the apartment was spacious. We only stayed for one night so it was an overkill.

This is an older motel but it has been updated to include new flooring in our room, a comfortable mattress, plentiful kitchen supplies, nice thick towels and ample room to spread out. There is no view of the ocean. Parking was tight for the number of guests staying at the motel. We could walk to the nearby beach as well as the Catalyst restaurant.

This was our third stay at Ocean Suites and again, we were blown away by the comfort and cleanliness! Honestly, the suite looked like it had just been built - not a speck of dust anywhere. The shower has phenomenal water pressure and heats instantly. The furniture is all very comfy and the fridge and range made cooking breakfasts a snap. Quiet, clean, and within walking distance of some good restaurants. We'll be back!

Super comfortable!!! Super clean. Great customer service at the front desk and on the phone. Turned on the heater for us since we were coming in late. Spacious. Our unit was quiet. Would stay there again. Great price. Amazing coffee and food at a little at the Compass Rose cafe with great gluten free options and award winning coffee.

This motel is a great option for a stay in Brookings. We loved the spacious suite which was sparkling clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. One of the women gave us great restaurant recommendations - spot on! We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, even on a very busy night when the motel was fully booked. The locally-made bar of soap was a nice touch and it smelled wonderful. We didn't use the kitchenette but it was well-stocked with plates, utensils, glasses, etc. The full-sized fridge was a nice plus. Also, every suite has free Netflix. The one downside is that the motel doesn't have any water views (despite the name). Also, I'd booked the motel months in advance and only realized when we arrived that the rates had been reduced, up to 20% for one of our nights. I felt stupid for paying more. So it's a good idea to keep checking them and rebook if you find a better rate.

This place was great! The check-in process was easy and they gave us a wonderful recommendation for a night on the town. The room itself was wonderful and clean, and the parking gave us exactly what we needed. Brookings as a town was amazing and the close proximity of the beaches and landmarks were just outstanding. 10/10!

It is just a more “bare bones” type of establishment…… no breakfast, no pool, etc. Just a nice, clean place to sleep for the night. The kitchen in the room was very helpful, just be aware that there are no spices, etc… for cooking. For what it is, it is well done. Just be aware it is not really “by the ocean”, as the name could imply & not too much within walking distance. We were satisfied, but nothing too impressive.
