Great location, however if you’re in a car , it’s very difficult to find a spot and the NCP right opposite the hotel has an entrance a 7 minute drive away but a lot longer in rush hour . The hotel does not have any private parking! .

Very nice rooms in a characterful old pub. Good breakfast, great cask beers and very nice staff. The room was a little hot given the warm weather, but a small price to pay.

A very nice stay. Though the rooms are above a pub, it was a quiet sleep. No on-site parking, but right across the street there is a municipal parking garage which wasn't too expensive. The Cathedral is a very short walk. The inn provided a nice continental breakfast. The pub scene was quite nice...the locals were friendly and welcomed this American.

Dog friendly hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Delicious cooked breakfast for additional £5 per head. NCP car park entrance is not opposite Cardinal Hat and discount code does not work, however plenty of cheaper options nearby.

This is a very beautiful little pub. The rooms are all unique and have their own charecters. Staff are really friendly. The continental breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket outside your room or you can have a cooked breakfast in the bar. Parking via car park is right outside and shopping is just a short walk away

A very friendly and helpful welcome from Ted who helped with our bags and apologised for the kitchen being closed for the evening due to staff illness but we were able to order into the bar. Our en-suite room was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for an overnight stay. We sampled the excellent local beer and the continental breakfast hamper was both charming and beautifully presented with quality produce. Beautifully situated in the old streets of worcester and convenient for eateries, cathedral and main sopping area-all within easy walkiing distance. Thank you for making our first overnight in Worcester so relaxing.

This review is so 50/50. The pub is beautiful, old and in my opinion one of the nicest places in Worcester (old town). The staff were friendly, chatty and went out of there way to help. The room was directly above the garden tent, Friday night was not the time to book if you want sleep! This appears to be Worcesters local hot spot and was loud to say the least. However the locals were there before I was so that’s my problem for the date I picked. The pub tries to be all fancy, biscuits, hot chocolate, water but sadly the state of the room let it down big time. The dirt on the carpet was nothing more than vile. The curtains all hanging of the rails and the longest dog hairs you have ever seen on the bed! (It’s also a little damp and the wallpaper is pulling away, but in fairness it’s an very old building) if house keeping stepped up it would be a beautiful place to stay. As I said, staff were lovely, breakfast was nice, but money needs spending to refresh the rooms. Would I go back?? Possibly!! Different room, midweek, but only if housekeeping clean that carpet

Bed was comfortable with luxurious pillows. Fan provided which was much needed as it was a warm night. Ideal location for shops, river, cathedral, cricket, horse racing etc and the road it’s on is all half timbered buildings. If you love history and olde worlde it’s the place to stay, will definitely go back

Being above an old pub, we did no know what to expect. We had a love room that was spotlessly clean, a very comfy bed and a smashing bathroom. The staff were excellent as well.

Good location. Car parking opposite was good at the ncp. Old and quirky. No food served at the pub of an evening. Breakfast basket was ok and novel. Room nice but needed a deep clean, very dusty! Room not serviced on the second day. Good food and pubs as well as all the sight on the doorstep.

We loved the Cardinal’s Hat. Fantastic pub and a wonderful place to stay. The bedrooms have been refurbished to a very high standard, beautiful comfy bed and very clean. Fantastic breakfast. Only sorry that we couldn’t stay longer but we will definitely return.

Great staff, spacious room, very hot day and our room had a fan, brilliant. Only negative, the carpet wasn't in the best condition, however, for a busy pub with a lot of guests it wasn't a big issue.

Amazing ,very friendly ,clean ,staff always happy to help , very comfortable stay , breakfast was included in a basket outside your room but we paid extra £5 each to have full English per day and it’s well worth it would highly recommend Nicole and Ellis are a credit to the hotel …. Very central to all parts of Worcester .
