We were extremely pleased with the property. We ate the complimentary breakfast, worked out at the gym, and used the business center to print our boarding passes. The hotel was near everything you needed. We will be staying here again!!

Clean, hotel but RIGHT next to the highway, and we faced away from it and it was still noisy. Wouldn’t have wanted an even number room. Came for the solar eclipse weekend and the pool was out the whole weekend which was a bummer for us with kids. Room was clean, good storage. Nice to have a microwave and fridge. Staff were very nice but seemed overwhelmed with visitors for this busy weekend

The elevator was out of service, and had been for 2 weeks, according to a source at the hotel. Other than being inconvenienced by schlepping our bags up and down stairs, it was a great stay.

Receptionist was very friendly and will to help when asked for a roll up bed. Brought back clean sheets and blanket. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were cleaned. The only thing not quite great was a order smell as you walked in like sewer.

Check in was easy, the staff was friendly, the room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. There was a lot of exterior space for walking my dog. Breakfast had a lot of choices, including two types of sausage. Why do hotel breakfast eggs have to be so consistently awful though?! Why can’t these higher end hotels step it up and serve fresh eggs instead of that pre-scrambled crap in a bag?

Great experience. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Clean hotel and room, felt like new! Breakfast option although we had to be on the road before 6am so we missed the Breakfast both times we have stayed. Pet friendly which is great for us as we travel with our Goldendoodle.

This is a great place to stay….very clean, well appointed…..only issue is one side faces the interstate which is maybe 50 feet away so lots of traffic noise……if on the other side quiet as a mouse! Our second stay on travels north and will stay here again!

We checked in around 11pm, passing through a blizzard. Got unloaded into room and went looking for vending machine. Could not get back into room, faulty sensor on door. No management or maintenance was able to help. All personal items were in locked room. We had to sleep in the room next door until the maintenance man came in at 8am. The hot breakfast was canceled due to a call out and the entire hotel was out of coffee!

I booked my stay on 8/4/25 and checked in on 8/11/25, it took over 45 minutes to get checked in, then I was apparently checked into another guests room and they were checked into mine. The front desk folks were not helpful and the lady that checked us out was making fun of the lady (who was new) about the checking in issue. Ridiculous.

The property was fine. It was very busy and both nights of the stay the lobby had full blown parties with strip poker going on. I booked through Expedia and was charged by them, and the hotel also charged me PLUS an additiknal night. I was told the manager would contact me yesterday which never happened. At check out, my receipt indicated i was only charged for w nights which was inaccurate. I asked for a receipt showing ALL the charges taken from my account. The attendent couldnt figure out how to send an accurate receipt but promised to email ot to me. I still do not have have it. My sisters and i stay at the Holiday Inn several times a year and this was surprising based on our previous experiences. At this point i have paid over $1,000 between the property and expedia charges. I am not in position to have that kind of expenditure. Im vrry disappointed and will likely nkt stay at the Salem property again

My family stayed over this past qeekend and the hospitality was fantastic. My 3 year old daughter was sick most of our stay which resulted in her throwing up during breakfast in the lobby. The absolutely sweet woman that was working the morning shift was so endearing and understanding and help me clean up and sanitize the mess and was nothing but kind to my daughter. 5 stars! Coming back to stay next year!!

I loved the front desk person with the Farrah Fawcet hairstyle - sorry, I can't remember your name. Even though it's near a highway, I slept great and couldn't hear the traffic. I loved how close it was to restaurants and gas stations. Room was great! I will definitely stay here again.

The staff and the room were good. I was only disappointed with one thing. The breakfast was not up to HIE standards. The sausage was dry and tasted terrible. Instead of a pot of oatmeal there were packs of instant. The coffee was not hot, only warm. Usually, HIE has a great breakfast. I was surprised.

Our stay was good, we did have some slight hiccups but otherwise it was a nice place to lay our heads. The bathroom light wasn't working right and it took 3 days before someone *fixed* it but it didn't stay fixed. The drain in the bathroom never drained properly, but it did drain so we mentioned it once and never again. The breakfast was ok, the pancake/waffle maker wasn't working the entirety of our stay so that left minimal choices. Would I stay again, yes - it was clean, friendly staff, inviting. Could some minimal things be fixed, yes.

The hotel itself is well kept and quiet. The downside is because it is right on a busy interstate, obviously there is constant road noise. We have stayed here before and will again. We stay here a couple of times a year because its location is convenient and halfway to our annual destination. The breakfast is always prepared well with plenty of options. Happy with the experience!
