We have nothing to complain about at all during our stay. We should’ve researched further as we didn’t realize there was extra charges for just about everything. Parking was an extra fee $25/night to self park or $40/night for valet. There wasn’t even a coffee pot in the room so just to get a cup of coffee in the morning was a long walk to the lobby and cost money at one of the cafes. And then we didn’t realize the outdoor water park wasn’t included in our hotel stay. We went up at 5pm to go to one of the restaurants and didn’t realize that you couldn’t even get in to eat somewhere without a water park ticket that was $40 a person. And then even a bottle of water was $4.50. It was just a little disappointing that we paid so much to stay there and nothing but the indoor water park was included. Just do more research than we did before you go and get nickel and dimed like we did.

There is plenty to do at this resort. There are multiple dining options, tons of activities and plenty of ways to relax and unwind, transportation to the other mountain was easy with the shuttle service. The staff is courteous, the rooms were clean, the water park was heated, the mountain coaster and zip lining was within walking distance. The only complaint was the cost of food. The vending machines were definitely over priced and for no real reason. Most families who were there had small children and the cost of food was pricey considering the children barely eat their meal. Other than that, it was a wonderful vacation.

Nice indoor Waterpark location. Cons-you can only request your room to be cleaned ONLY after the 3rd day of your stay. If you fall in this category- there are a very limited number of handicap parking spots in the general and valet section. Once they are filled up you have to park in the lots far from the main entrance despite valet having over 30 empty parking spots overnight. Camelback Beach and the outdoor water park are additional fees even if you are staying at the resort. ONLY the indoor water park are included in your stay. Get the outdoor water park passes on Groupon for $20!

Likes: convenience. All activities were relatively close with a shuttle to those a bit further out. Rooms were in good shape, Mountain View’s were nice to wake up to. Outdoor waterpark was large with many areas to explore. Mountain coaster was a fun activity. Zip lines offer an adrenaline rush. UTV tour, while expensive, is a cool offering. The arcade is large with nice offerings as far as games and prizes go Dislikes: indoor water park was faded and not in good shape. Didn’t seem like safety was a priority and the indoor park was understaffed. Food is way limited. The restaurants off site are too expensive for what is offered and barrelli’s got my wife and I sick. The water in the outdoor park was extremely cold, not controlled, like way uncomfortable. The water tubing was a joke. Do not waste your valuable time. The website is terrible and unreliable and needed to order activities. Signage at the resort and throughout the activity area and outdoor park are horrific. Housekeeping is terrible, unfriendly, and cannot communicate So close but yet so far away with regards to offerings and service Can be amazing but staff, run down indoor waterpark, freezing waters, way expensive offerings, basically zero housekeeping, limited expensive food offerings, limited parking for hotel guests (I had to park in daily lot and was rewarded with a huge dent and scratch on my car) leave you saying ugh! It could have been…. I may be crazy enough to give it another try… maybe.

The good: responsive, friendly, and genuinely helpful staff. The free shuttle service is great, and there are so many activities that kept our 7yo engaged and happy. Aquatopia is great fun, the indoor ropes course is excellent, mountain coaster was a hit. Rooms were surprisingly quiet and beds comfortable. The not great: slippery algae on floor and steps in Aquatopia; bathtub had no stopper and was unusable; cabanas are so overpriced that most of them stood empty even in July. Also, no coffeemaker in your room. The bad: booking activities on the app or website was deeply frustrating. The interface is NOT intuitive, and it froze up on me repeatedly. I gave up more than once and went down to the Events office (not easy to find) and had to book in person. I overheard other parents complaining about the same issue. Skip the mini golf course. It’s tiny and looks like they ordered a backyard set from Temu. Also, the check in counter is clearly too small, understaffed, and overwhelmed. Expect LONG queues to check in. Would we return? Probably. It’s a nice resort. But please fix the app/website for online activity booking. Please.

Unfortunately, not all the slides were available at the water park — some of them were closed. We were also disappointed by the very small parking lot; it was especially difficult to find a parking spot on the weekend.

Best of the indoor water parks by far and lots of other fun activities to do besides Aquatopia.

Please note that it’s $25 dollars a day to park at a hotel you pay 300 dollars a night for, this is ridiculous to me. The outdoor waterpark is cheaper and has better rides. Overpriced for what you get, go to Kalahari, or great wolf.

Everything very nice and clean

The room had dirty linens and lady bug was throughout the room and I told manager he said it nothing he can do about the bugs. He send new linen for me to change.

⸻ Our stay at Camelback Resort was a nightmare. We booked a room with a balcony to celebrate our 3-year-old son’s birthday, but at 3:45 AM, we discovered a bedbug. After calling the front desk, we were left waiting nearly an hour in the same room with our child before getting a text that a new room was ready—no one came to check on us or assist. We were handed a cart and told to move ourselves. The new room was a downgrade with no balcony, even though we had paid extra for it. When we asked to switch to a Mountain View room earlier, we were told it would cost $100, which we declined. Customer service later told us the upgrade should’ve been free, but the front desk refused. A maintenance worker admitted the hotel was operating at only 28% capacity, so the lack of availability wasn’t the issue—they just didn’t care. When we decided to check out early, I returned to get my son’s stuffed animal and was shocked to return to the lobby and find security waiting for us. The officer never explained why he was there, argued with my fiancé, followed us to our room, and kicked us out. We believe we were racially profiled, as we were calm the entire time and simply wanted to leave. This was traumatizing, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable—especially on our child’s birthday. We’ll never return

The Good... the service and friendly employees...the way the waterpark regulated the overall temp of the water and anbient air. Very noticeable as we stayed at other parks and there was a way more comfortable feeling ...no excessive cold times exiting water areas. Huge plus ➕ The bad... Paying to park? ...really? ...knew it was coming as i made the reservation but should be included...car never moved in the standard lot. Seemed like a money grab. The ugly... 2 things...room upon entry had alot of gnats all over... i was in room 301 got most of them some are up high that i couldnt clean off wall in either the vanity / microwave area Last is the coffee cafe we visited on the 27th...after we finished we sat directly across from the register in the 1st oversize booth. Across the ledge as we were just about to leave we saw a cockroach moving across it. My kid took a pic which i will not include in this review. Positive bonus was the reptile show which my kids loved....thank you

For starters no parking anywhere neer the front doors closest parking 1/8 of a mile away second the room was horrifying there was hair in the sink stuck to the shower wall on the bed sheets etc was afraid to walk around the room in bare feet kept our socks on. Air conditioner was mediocre barely kept room comfortable,beds were the most uncomfortable thing we have ever slept on then to top it off thought that breakfast would have been included but apparently 300 plus dollars a night doesn't get you that,it was another 25 dollars a person. Needless to say we left at 7:15 in the morning and didnt look back will never recommend or stay there ever again.

I had to change the date from Aug 15-17 to Aug 8-10. I book through Expedia so I called them on July 30th to switch the date. They told me that the resort charges one night to change the date. They did reach out to the resort so they can see if they can not charge me a one night fee for changing but the resort said that I had to pay. I think that is ridiculous since I’m sure they booked that room. Indoor water park couldn’t ring up lifeguard shirt then decided to get water case and credit card machine was not working paid cash but couldn’t open register to give change * waiting 45min to 1 hour for food inside water park because staff missed placed the tocket * Several slides not working ( the drop one ( 2) The one with the nets * Room smelled like feet * Draws didn’t close kept coming open * Couch bed took work to pull out * No do not disturb sign in the room * Aug 9 indoor water park slide shut down then power went out. Appreciate outdoor water pass but with a senior we prefer indoor * Called at 4:30 to see if indoor was open for atleast the wave pol and was told no * Buffet didn’t open until 7:10 but Chris and Josh were amazing * Water pouch didn’t last one day. If has a gash in it * Water shoes didn’t last a day the top part came off

We had a fantastic time! Clean facility, kind staff. Water in Aquatopia is a nice temperature, I took my 11 month old & my 6 year old and they absolutely loved it. The only caveat is this place is super expensive & you’re paying for EVERYthing. Aside from the prices it was very fun and we’ll be back.

Hair all over the bathroom floor and shower. Dirty towels. No soap or tissues in the bathroom or room

Was very disappointed in the cafe area pool and room. All very dirty and smelled like smoke. Staff were great and very helpful. Food is way overpriced for quality. I ordered a chai tea and it came to $8.22. That is absurd. May not return again.

Our room evidently had been used as an animal friendly room prior and it reeked of dog urine. we turned on the ac hoping to circulate the air but it did not help

Beds were comfortable and AC was good. Matt at the pool bar is the best!

Liked the outdoor activities, mountain coaster, staff was really helpful and friendly.Didnt like the noisy air conditioning, that half of the slides were closed, limited dining options.

Rooms with king bed and a bunk room is fantastic. Facility is looking worn (carpets in the room and waterpark). We were able to hear a lot of noise from neighboring rooms

Staff was absolutely amazing, always smiling and welcoming. Room was clean with a beautiful Mountain View. 100% recommended and we will definitely be back.

For such a lovely looking property, the hotel rooms were terrible. The showers didn’t get hot even after running for a few minutes cranked. Couch was broke. Ac was a mess and tv didn’t work. We called for a pack and play and they brought it right away only it was broken. I think there are likely several better options in the same area to stay in.

10/10 recommend. Rooms was super spacious and clean. Water park is awesome and food was good. Would definitely book again

It’s loud. It’s not for our family vacation. We prefer to a quiet place. A baby next to our room cried for about two hours in a midnight.

Booked thru Expedia the hotel didn’t honor the hotels website showing if you stay two or more nights get both parks because we booked thru Expedia not the hotel itself. Read online hotel had free breakfast yet we were charged $36 a person even my 2 y/o grandchild was charged same price plus tip automatically included in bill. Had to pay for parking even though I paid for a 4 day stay. Cost for parking was per day. Furniture specially the couch in room was stained everywhere. Rugs in room very dirty I used a white towel to clean up an ice cube white towel was black afterwards. Also had to pay a $143 resort fee I top of hotel bill. They really know how to nickel and dime you and false advertise two parks when staying but don’t honor it if you don’t book directly with hotel even though I could not find where this was posted on their site. How are they allowed to do this because they allow Expedia to sell their rooms for them yet don’t honor anything they advertise if you use their approved third party vendors. Also got a room with a stone wall blocking my entire view asked for a balcony and got a floor patio next to a huge air conditioner that was loud all day and night.

From check-in to check out, there was nothing but problems. Everything was extremely overpriced, ZERO customer service (can’t even get a human on the phone when calling from room), restaurants ran out of things. Do not recommend and will not be back.

We were giving a number to text for room service no response , I was asking for an extra blanket for my wife . The text a number thing needs to change if there’s going to be no response and no response when calling the front desk this is unacceptable when being charged a resort fee when your paying for a service

I had a very frustrating experience at this hotel due to poor customer service. I was owed a credit, which took 14 days to be refunded, and despite multiple voicemails and emails to the billing department, I never received a response. Additionally, I needed extra blankets for my kids and tried calling from the room multiple times, but no one answered. The lack of responsiveness and basic guest support was extremely disappointing. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

The check in was way behind they had us wait for about an hour until our room became available. Staff was not really helpful until I asked for a manager .

Our stay was wonderful the staff was great! Especially Helen was so helpful and made our stay even more amazing.

We reserved 3 rooms for a family vacation. Two 2 bedroom suites and a Room with 2 queen beds. The 2 bedroom suites were for my sons families with infants so there would be a separate room for the baby to sleep. we did not get one 2 bedroom even though we had a confirmation letter. Camelbacks reply was they were out of rooms. Also our rooms were not ready at check in time. Check in time was at 4:00 pm, we recieved aou rooms at 7:00 pm. Two families with several small children in limbo because of a poorly run facility. I overheard a couple with an infant saying they hoped there room was ready, this was at 6:30 pm the following day. seems they cannot provide rooma on a daily basis.

We had a wonderful stay from the friendly concierge at check-in to the staff outside the arrival area. One of the greeters, Bob, was especially kind and sweet, engaging in conversation with our whole family and making us feel welcome. They even surprised us with a donut buffet for the kids in the morning as we were heading out!! The kids had a blast at the waterpark as well, and we saw only friendly staff there, too! The whole place was fabulous, with great decor and theming. Having been to great Wolf Lodge numerous times, we would choose Camelback again instead!! Thank you for the great stay and memories!

Unfortunately, I have to compare Camelback and Kalahari. With that comparison I would give camelback an “okay”. There aren’t much restaurant options and they require you to pay for parking. I was not happy about that. They charge $40-$50 for the outdoor park although you just paid so much to stay on the resort. Not saying you shouldn’t pay but why so much? A plus is that you are 5min from an outlet mall if you’re into that type of thing. Kids enjoyed their stay there that’s all that matters!

Location is great with easy access right off the highway we had wonderful time with the our kids. Staff is welcoming and supportive. Property was not as clean as expected especially the room. Overall we had good time

I recently stayed at Camelback Lodge and overall, the property is absolutely beautiful — the scenery and amenities are top-notch, and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: The hotel only has front elevators, which means if your room is located at the back of the property, it can be quite a long walk to access the elevators. This might be inconvenient for guests with mobility issues or those carrying a lot of luggage. Additionally, I was a bit disappointed with the deposit process. My deposit was held for 10 business days, whereas I’ve experienced other places that release deposits within 3 to 5 business days. This longer wait can be a bit frustrating. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but these aspects could be improved for a more seamless experience.

I paid to stay two nights and due to the parking lots for overnight guests being filled up I had to park farther away and somehow was charged &25 extra a night for a longer walk ?

Breakfast buffet was over rated and over price. Valet parking price 40.00 per day wow. Trail end dinning was fantastic Robert the waiter was perfect. Water parks were great! Both of them !

Great Hotel! The Waterpark is fun for the family and lazy river is very relaxing. The mountain coaster is very fun as well! Although there’s nothing past 10pm. Dining at the Hotel is expensive, would not recommend to eat there.

Aquatopia is a great weekend getaway place for couples and families of all sizes. The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. The only two issues I have are that the food prices inside the hotels are mega expensive, and rooms should have an included coffee maker. We had a Queen double bed and no coffee maker. Otherwise, it was a great experience, and we will return. One nice bonus is you have access to the waterpark after you check out.

The room was nice. The waterpark was nice. The food was very expensive and not many options to eat. Several places were closed due to short staff.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. It was really fun we enjoyed everything on the property. The was water slides were our favorite. The breakfast buffet was ok. My boyfriend said it was lacking a bet a flavor and there wasn’t many options. I enjoyed the omelette stand and the build your own waffles. I can those two things are worth the try form the buffet. Over all our stay was great. And there’s a lot of restaurants options outside the resort

Great property convient location to everything lots of options available. Needs more parking spaces for guests. Food options were varied but low in quality over priced and poor in taste.

I really enjoyed my time at Camelback. The waterpark was great as well as the other activities. The breakfast was amazing, I will definitely visit again!
