Great location and friendly staff. They have a shuttle that will take you downtown, However, it’s close enough you could drive. Rooms were very clean and property is well maintained.

This is always my go to hotel while staying in Asheville. It’s close to the blue ridge parkway for easy access to hiking trails. I love that they provide a free shuttle service to the downtown area. Pet friendly and very clean. They offer free pet treats for the furr kids. Great complementary breakfast options and delicious cookie and tea bar for the evenings. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Asheville!!

The hotel itself was great. Clean, convenient breakfast included, cookies, coffee, and tea available for free all day long. The pool is very small but a lovely temperature. There's a strip mall at one end of the hotel so you can get essentials and food within walking distance. Shuttle service is fantastic. The only drawback was that one night there were people jumping around in the room above us all night. Hotel employees talked to them 3 times and warned them they would be removed from the hotel if they didn't quiet down, but nothing was ever done about it. We had a 10 hour drive home the next day on virtually no sleep. It would have been nice if the employees had called police officers or even the hotel security officer to rectify the situation.

The front office staff were professional, prompt and friendly. The room was clean and well furnished. The gym and pool were good sized and clean. The breakfast was more varied than most hotel breakfasts.

My vehicle along with 14 other vehicles were broken into. My driver side window was smashed in. I don’t feel like I was properly notified and when I inquired to the front desk as to why I was not, I was informed that my room was called. The room phone did not work and the smoke alarm kept beeping, indicating that the batteries needed to be changed. I was overall disappointed in the experience.

My car was stolen from hotel parking lot. No cameras and limited security.

The hotel was great. The issue was the first night of our stay, our bikes were stolen from our bike rake while parked in the hotel parking lot. The cable had been cut. Local police officer said this has been an issue in the parking lot with bikes and license plates taken, cars broken into. There are no cameras and little light. There are signs that say “park at your own risk”. Hotel manager said she would refund that nights stay but $200 doesn’t touch our $2000 in bikes :(

I would rate this hotel as 5 stars, but both me and my girlfriend were bitten by bedbugs in many places after staying for two nights in room 306. Otherwise great hotel. Room was new. Slightly smelly, but that seem like a common problem in the area.

Nice location close to the River Arts District and downtown Asheville with ample free parking and friendly desk clerks. However, the room was disappointing as there were stains all over the carpet, the shower floor pan was really dirty and there was a dead bug in the bathroom upon arrival. We’ve stayed here before (a year ago) and the room was fine but given our recent visit, I don’t think we’d stay here again.

Hotel is suffering from a lack of maintenance and cleaning. Our room smelled like a wet dog, and many other reviews say the same. The elevator struggled to make it to the 4th floor, it was shuddering and smelled like burning, so we were afraid to take it after the first trip. We took the stairs and found an old dried up pile of chicken wings in the stairwell. The side entrances were broken, so we had to drag luggage all the way around. The carpets were not vacuumed, and there was a used q-tip in the hallway and other debris. The shower floors are old and worn down and look dirty. There was a splatter all over the bathroom door that looked like someone popped champaign and nobody ever cleaned it up. The sink drain backed up if you ran the water for more than a minute. The air conditioner filters were broken. Positives: Staff was friendly and location is very convenient for access to activities in the city.

The room was disappointing. The floors were stained everywhere. The pillows were so out of shape and miss matched. The linens would not stay on the bed. The bathroom sink had no water pressure nor would it drain. The toilet would not flush correctly. There was one elevator for the entire hotel. There was one bright light, though the breakfast was really good.

The common areas of the hotel were great, very clean and updated. Our room was a different story. The bathroom was gross. The shower basin had dirt caked into it, mold on the seal and several areas where there was dirt splatter on the walls.

We had a suite, as we thought our granddaughter was going to spend the second night with us. Fortunately she didn’t have to, as the sofa bed had a horrible mattress. Everything else was great. Super staff.

Lovely, spacious, and inviting room. Quiet and comfortable which made for a peaceful stay.

Lots of traffic noise at all hours

Room 431 smelled like vomit. When we checked in, the smell was covered with a smell of soap. That wore off. It was a really disgusting smell. Will not stay at another Country Inn.

Staff was friendly and nice the room was basic the view was of the roof. The parking was off sight which felt unsafe. The surrounding area seed sketchy.

King room was perfect for us and our two young kids who slept on the pullout sofa. I would not recommend the sofa for adults though based on the uncomfortable mattress. The pool was in excellent condition and at just the right temperature. Breakfast was very good and the attendants very nice and helpful. Plenty of parking. We did not walk downtown since we would have walked next to the highway but they do have a shuttle and it’s a quick drive. Would stay here again!

Close to downtown via car it’s a 4 minute drive. Free hotel shuttle was super convenient! Free hotel parking. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but that’s my only complaint.

Poor soundproofing between floors. We heard constant, loud footsteps all night from floor above.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location was convenient and is immediately adjacent to a shopping center and just off the interstate. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff was courteous and attentive. The layout for breakfast was substantial with numerous options. The price was excellent.

I should stay by saying that this is my favorite chain however, this location is an anomaly. Counter staff extremely impatient and rude. As I was checking in the person behind the counter set my expectations right by saying: “this place is a dump! Needs a lot of maintenance that is not happening”…that person was in the middle of a bitter argument with a disappointed guest. My room (208) smelled musty & moldy but “there were no other rooms available”. I also had cockroaches come out of the sink and generally in the room. Neither of the 2 outlets by the bed worked, I notified the front desk and was told someone is coming to fix right away! No one came for the duration of my stay. When checking out, the tall African American lady behind the counter was busy cleaning with a broom by the front door and proceeded to yell at the lady ahead of me and myself: “just leave your keys there! I don’t need to be there to check you out!” I replied that I needed something else and her reply was “then you’ll have to wait!” Se continued cleaning the floor then went to the back (I guess to place the broom somewhere), stormed back and said “what do need?”…

The check in process was poor I arrived at the hotel couldn't get in there was no one at the front desk I had to call and no one answered then the man showed up about 20 25 30 minutes later. My 6-year-old had a competition so we missed her birthday the woman that was at the desk allowed us to have a little party in the lobby so nice I wish I remembered her name it made our trip a lot better

We didn't like that our crib request during our reservation was not taken seriously. I emailed the hotel 2 weeks before our stay to specify we needed a crib for our 1 year old daughter and got a reply indicating that a pack and play will be added to our reservation. When we arrived to the hotel we were told that the pack and play was being put into our room as we spoke, we then arrived to the room and there was no pack and play. When I came downstairs to get the bags from the car I heard the staff talking about not having any pack and plays available. I approached them to see what was going on and they told me they were "actively trying to find one", I got upset and told them that I emailed them 2 weeks back asking for it and the reply that I got was that "it was not guaranteed". Eventually they found one and got it to us. We booked a room with a single king size bed relying that the crib will be there, if the didn't find one we would have needed to change hotel. This is not a good service, as parents if you offer a "free crib" it is not a "nice to have thing", it is a requirement for us to stay in the hotel. In our case we booked a 1 bed room relying on the crib you offered, if there was no pack and play available we would have no place to put our daughter to sleep. If you offer the pack and play and you add it to my reservation, it should be in my room when I arrive, otherwise you are not offering a good service. Other than this our stay was good.

Property is clean and well kept. Convient location, but a little difficult to get to. If you are coming from the south you need to go to downtown and do a uturn and go back over the bridge to get to teh location. If you miss it you have to do 2 u-turns to get back to the exit.

Quiet and comfortable with good breakfast. Drugstore and grocery store within a block.The only downside is that it is really not in the river arts district, it is nearby by car, but not a very pleasant walk.

I did not feel comfortable walking to and from the property. The cvs next door was convenient until I went in and they do not have shopping baskets or carts. Homeless and drug addicts everywhere. I will not return. I only stayed 1 night out of the 3 nights booked because I didn't feel my children were safe.

The hotel is in a busy highway area (I-26, I-240), Google instructed us to take exit 3B of I-240 West and turn on Cliff Street. There is no street sign for Cliff Street. If you miss it you have to re-enter the highway and do a convoluted loop with a series of exit (sometimes coming quickly across several lanes of highway traffic), to again reach exit 3B off I-240 West. It took us multiple loops to realize we needed to turn quickly on the very first unmarked paved street(barely off the exit ramp), to access the hotel.

Nice sized rooms. Clean. But not especially quiet - you can hear noise from adjacent rooms and rooms above. Difficult road access to a busy interstate to go into Asheville downtown. Somewhat deceptive name - River Arts district - because that area is not immediately nearby. Very courteous staff. Adjacent shopping mall has a great market.

Locationis simoltaneously strategically well placed and difficult to find

Hotel was conveniently located just a couple miles from downtown Asheville. Clean hotel with a wonderful complimentary breakfast served daily / the staff was friendly and always someone at the front desk to answer any questions. Only downside is that some cars were broken into in the parking lot on the mall side of the hotel. Police were alerted and we were informed it was a random act throughout the area of thieves trying to gain personal information for identity theft

Breakfast was a letdown. For eggs, only ice-cold hard boiled eggs. But then the burners were never lit under the other "hot" food, so cold sausage, cold potatoes. So really, no hot breakfast aside from waffles. No towel bars in the bathroom made it hard to use a towel or washcloth more than once. Even the hand towel had to be laid on the counter, so never dried.

Rooms were great. Place was clean. The coffee was perhaps the worst coffee I’ve ever tasted in my whole life. We called it brown water… It was so weak.

This is an older hotel but has been maintain pretty well. The room is average with an average bed. The location is easy to access with quick one and off Patton Ave. The breakfast is above average. They are generous with their selections and the quality was one of the best of its kind. We will stay again for the breakfast.

Overall nice little hotel. Location is kinda odd but it’s close to downtown. Free breakfast was decent. Was good one day next day everything was cold. Transport is nice but wasn’t always available. Rooms were clean and updated. Fire pit area outside was a nice touch. Staff was friendly.

Everything was great the only thing they should take care is tonprperly stock the breakfasts. We stayed 3 nights and they ran out of eggs and bananas for every breakfast. Also the girl didn’t cleaned the tables
