Beautiful hotel, well located. Very clean and comfortable. Large bed, great shower, unusual design. Disappointed rooftop bar not open in the evenings. Would have liked a comfortable chair in the room rather than just a desk chair.

The two ladies at Reception are so friendly and helpful. We arrived early and our bags were safely stored until our room was ready. Our (many) questions were patiently answered. Take advantage of the rooftop restaurant for a pre dinner drink or meal and then return for a delicious breakfast and enjoy the spectacular views.

Nice hotel, great shame that there was no public spaces & the roof top bar / restaurant was only open for breakfast (which was superb) The Michelin starred restaurant on the ground floor was either closed or fully booked during my 5 day stay over christmas which spoiled the whole experience - either stuck in my room or out looking for somewhere to eat & drink - had the hotel web site stated that there was no bar / food on site TBH, I would have booked elsewhere

Lovely hotel but lacked a bar for the evening which was a shame. There are options around the hotel for drinks but seems a missed opportunity not to have the rooftop breakfast area as a roof top bar

Check in and location was good. The staff was friendly as well..however i was greeted with a dirty towel with poop. The safe, the room had a small break safe was broken and it was dirty. House keeping noise was horrible and woke me up both days. I think sanitary checks and maintenance should be basic and it wasn't

The room was jn good condition however the shower had mould. This also very obvious because of the white tiles. We did mention this to the reception and the cleaner had removed a lot of it but mould that has developed over time needs more treatment and special mould sprays. A lot of the mould was cleaned uo but there was still mould in our shower. Everything else was great.

Nice hotel in good location. Only complaint is housekeeping did not replace towels that were left on floor (even though that is what sign told us to do if we wanted replaced). They also did not replace toilet paper (we ran out and had to goto front desk to get) or Kleenex

Lovely small hotel , great location. Very clean, our room and bathroom was spotless ! Reception staff informative. Only negative was breakfast was way too early. 7-9!! So on our holiday we had to get up early to have breakfast . Breakfast was nice but small plate. Great coffee and juice. Breakfast staff very nice. I would recommend this hotel but I wouldn’t book breakfast next time.

Gateway location with a 5 minute walk to the Kálvin ter stop. Walkable to the Central Market, shopping, restaurants, bridges, and other attractions. Budapest is your oyster. Modern decor, which was well maintained. Quiet and clean. Bed was a bit too firm, although we did get a good night’s sleep. We expected a little more from Solid for the price, but was a good experience with a nice enough city view. Recommended for brunch. Hotel staff were excellent. Had a housekeeping issue that they stayed on top of until it was resolved. Definitely recommend staying here when in Budapest!

The hotel is well located being close to city attractions and subway. Numerous cafes etc nearby. Unfortunately our stay was impacted by the poor air conditioning in our room. It was extremely hot and stuffy for most of the day and night. The receptionist advised us that the whole hotel was having problems as Hungary was not use to the high temperatures they were having and the a/c was struggling to cope. Our advice is to reconsider staying at this hotel in warmer months. Room had an unusual configuration with the bed at one end with access only on one side of the bed.

The location is perfect, the options around for dining is very good too. I wish I could have had dinner at the Miichelan Star Salt downstair, but not this time. The hotel is very close to many important and beautiful tourist. Main transportation is a 3 minutes walking distance. I had an issue with my air conditioning. It did not work and I was told by two staff members that it was off because it was not the "season" to use it already (24C on that day) and if I wanted some cold air I should open the window instead. Not a solution...when the staff "fixed" it next day and left it on the 10C marker for 6 hours, it was still very warm. I called them again and one said it's because the high ceilings. The bedroom is tiny tiny. So the solution was, even though, I paid to have air conditioning I had to sleep with the window open.

My room was adequate. The major cons were the comfort of the bed (which I could deal with) and the fact the AC didn’t work. If I wasn’t able to open a window, I would have left. It was SWELTERING with the window closed the AC was “on”. I would NEVER stay here during the summer. Don’t risk it. The staff were very friendly and the location was great.

Lovely old hotel with modern twists. Very helpful staff, generally polite and friendly. Twin room with misted glass bathroom panelling was nice but could do with solid panelling on whilst your twin is on the loo. We didn't try the rooftop bar but looked like it had great views of the city. Michelin Star Hotel on the ground floor.

We had a non pleasant experience with the service at the end of the check out. First, they never inform the check out hour or that they will charge 10 euros per hour if we did late. Second I’m a gold member and I am suppose to have early and check out as possible. Third the check out was at 11 we were at the breakfast and came maybe at 1150 and they said we needed to pay the fee out of the sudden. I said why didn’t you call, they said they did (they didn’t) and send an email (they showed me an incorrect email address). At the end what we were looking was for flexibility due to the fact we were never informed and the from desk pior? Started to treat us sarcastically that we can read the check out in the access card holder or behind the door. Completely rude saying it was like this and nothing to do. Really impress by this in my thousands of trips I have never been treated like this. Again is not the money concept (10 euros) is the inflexibility and rude response even when we showed him he emailed me to a wrong address and it was 50 min late, not being advise in check in, and BEING a gold member! Ruined our mood.

Hotel Rum is a great hotel and base whilst enjoying a city break. Convenient location with plenty lf bars and restaurants in the inmediate area and 15-20 walk to other popular areas. SOLID is certainly worth a visit for breakfast with great views of the city and a lovely ambience. The hotel is also only a 10 min walk from the airport 100e bus stop, which makes travel to and from the airport easy.

Comfortable room with good space for clothing storage etc. Small mini bar and kettle in room along with rooftop restaurant. Central location within walking distance of many of the cities key attractions. 300 metres from AirPort Express bus at second last stop. Bus can be paid for by tapping card or device as you board. €6:50 one way.

The staff greeting us was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, if a little cold. No matter what we did, the temperature was lower than we liked. However, saying that, once in bed we were warm enough. The breakfast was amazing, the staff brilliant and the views over the city are stunning. We found the hotel to be in a very central area for us to explore the city.We will be returning to Budapest in the future, and we will be booking to stay here.

Just OK - quite a small hotel, the room was lovely but we hadn’t realised that the breakfast was a la carte rather than buffet - and in practice we wouldn’t have chosen the hotel had we realised this. The a la carte portions were v small and choice limited, with 1 glass of orange juice and 1 coffee/tea - just not really what you need for a heavy day of walking and sightseeing, with one dish that was pretty small.

Die Zimmer waren sehr gut und das Personal an der Rezeption auch sehr freundlich. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, wodurch man fußläufig alles erreichen konnte. Das Frühstück würde ich nicht mehr buchen. Der Kaffee und der Orangensaft sind inklusive allerdings gibt es nur eine kleine Frühstückskarte, von der man nur ein Gericht wählen darf. Meistens war das Gericht auch nicht ausreichend oder anders als vorgestellt. Die Aussicht war aber ganz nett.

Gutes Hotel mit schicken Zimmern. Die Zimmer sehen alle leicht unterschiedlich aus, habe aber sie Kategorie wie bestellt bekommen. Zimmer sind in gutem Zustand, es gibt einige Kleinigkeiten an den Wänden oder im Bad auszubessern. Es war aber alles sauber und die Lage ist top. Das Frühstück ist a la carte und man muss einen Zeitslot vorher wählen. Das ist etwas anders als gewohnt, aber nicht schlimm. Es schmeckt sehr gut bei bester Aussicht, aber es ist schon recht wenig in der Menge. Die Zimmer sind leider auch relativ hellhörig, war jetzt nicht störend aber auffällig. In Summe gut und individuell, aber nicht überragend.
