Perkins Cove Oceanfront Cottage

We arrived after 2 days of travel from N.C at 8pm. The pictures of the cottage were deceiving. The top floor had the master with no bathroom and the stairs to climb were quite precarious for 2 people of 70 years. The other bedroom was in the lowest level and smelled like a basement ,and had a lot of stairs as well. The main floor contained the kitchen with a stove that was rusted and dirty as well as the refrigerator didn’t look like it had been cleaned. The host could not help us and also told us we would probably be unable to book a room. We were afraid we would fall navigating the stairs so we called a hotel who accommodated us with a beautiful and clean room witha sitting area.! Upon calling vrbo they tried to get the cleaning fee back which Jason refused any refund. Ken his associate had told us they did not need to clean because we were only there one hour. Beautiful spot, very quiet, peaceful. You can hear the waves at night. Great restaurant right next door, wonderful access to the community.

The place was absolutely terrific. The location could not have been better, you were right in the middle of everything. The host Ken was very accessible and a true gentleman
