Travelodge Dongdaemun Seoul

Overall I had a good stay. For the price, it was a great choice. I think they can improve on keeping the rooms a bit cleaner. My room was dusty on the desk and there was hair on my bed. There were a lot of marks on the wall which made the room look dirtier than it actually was. Also it looked like there was a lobby bar/cafe on Expedia’s pictures, but it was closed the whole time I was there. I may have considered other hotel options if I had known that. The best part by far is the rooftop terrace with great views that is open 24 hours. A great place to bring a group of friends or sit by yourself, have a drink and enjoy city and mountain views of Seoul. The staff were also friendly. In general, a good option if you’re traveling on a budget, but if you have a little extra to spend, you may want to consider other options in Dongdaemun area, especially if offer similar rooftop views.

Fantastic location. Very small room but adequate. Good facilities and excellent services. Breakfast buffet(need to pay ₩9,900) helped to start the day. Gym was small, and laundromat had only a pair of washer/dryer. Air conditioning worked well, and bed was comfy.

Had a last minute layover in Seoul and most of the hotels were fully booked. Travelodge Dongdaemun is a 5-10 minute walk from the heart of Dongdaemun and a 10-minute walk to Gwangjang Market. If you take transit, it’s a few bus stops or few subway stations away from Myeongdong. Airport limousine bus 6001 has a stop across the street at Baiton Hotel. The staff here are very helpful. The queen room I was assigned to has lots of wear and tear and the glass panel adjacent to the sink wasn’t clean. The room would feel tight for 2 people. There is a Wow Pass machine in the lobby and luggage scale. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay here.

I stayed at this hotel mainly because of its convenient location — being within walking distance to Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, and Cheonggyecheon. In that regard, the location is excellent. However, the experience overall was disappointing. The hallways had no ventilation at all, so the air was stale and the temperature was uncomfortably hot. The room itself was extremely small. While the air conditioning worked, it was too strong — it actually felt cold, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. There was a laundry room, which was convenient, but for a hotel with over 240 rooms, having only one washer and one dryer was simply not enough. It felt like there was no real consideration for guests’ needs. When I entered my room, I found leftover makeup stains from the previous guest and dirt at the bottom of the trash bin. It was clear that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. On top of that, the drain near the laundry area smelled terrible, likely because it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I stayed here for two nights as a way to slightly cut down on costs during my month-long trip in Europe. But looking back, I wouldn’t stay here again. Even at a similar level, I’d say Toyoko Inn offers a much better experience in terms of cleanliness and guest care. If the ventilation and cleanliness were improved, this hotel could be a good choice given its location. But as it stands, I can’t recommend it if you value space and cleanliness, this may not be the right choice

Very convenient for Toegyero or Dongdaemun. Unfortunately, no parking, even for a motorcycle.

フロントの人が日本語とても上手な方でチェックインチェックアウトも安心でした。フロントにいた男の方がいつもニコニコと挨拶してくれてとても感じが良かったです。 希望通り友人と隣の部屋にしてもらえました。 フロント横にあるスペースには椅子と机があり、テイクアウトをしたチキンを友人とみんなで集まって食べたりできてとても良かったです。電子レンジもあったので温め直したりもできて便利でした。カップラーメンを食べている外国の方もいました。 ホテル内にwowパスの機械があったので出かける前に入金出来たり、スーツケース用はかりが設置されていて帰りに荷物を計れたりと設備が整っていました。 今回は寒かったため利用はしませんでしたが、屋上のスペースも見晴らしがよく食事したりお茶を飲んだりしたら気持ちが良さそうでした。 部屋はベッドだけでいっぱいになるくらい狭かったですが小さなテーブルはあり、コーヒーセットや湯沸かし器なども設置されていて快適に過ごせました。 トイレはトイレットペーパーがちゃんと流せたし、シャワーもしっかりとした湯量で気持ちよく使えました。シャンプーとボディーソープのみ設置あり。 アメニティは無いので歯ブラシは持参が必要です。(アメニティ自販機はフロントにありました) 部屋のクリーニングはフロントに頼まないとしてくれないようです。今回2泊しましたがクリーニングは特に必要ないのでタオルだけフロントで交換してもらい、ゴミは自分でまとめてエレベーター付近のゴミ箱に捨てに行きました。 ホテル目の前に地下鉄入口ありですが、階段だけのため荷物を運ぶのは大変です。 ホテル隣はすぐコンビニなので毎日何かしら買いに行けて便利です。 東大門からも歩いて行けるので夜ショッピングにも便利です。 とても快適に過ごすことが出来ました。 ありがとうございました。

Hotel in buona posizione, appena fuori un’uscita della metropolitana, colazione varia ed abbondante, ma camera piccolissima con il letto che dista dalla parete frontale circa 20 cm: per chi dorme dal lato finestra per scendere dal letto deve saltare la persona accanto oppure strusciare di lato rasente muro inclinando la schiena perché il televisore occupa la metà dello spazio superiore libero. Le amenities in camera sono ridotte al minimo, c’è solo shampoo, balsamo e bagnoschiuma in doccia e un mini sapone sul lavandino. La pulizia in camera è su richiesta ma a pagamento per quella approfondita, solo quella base è gratuita oppure dopo 3 notti puoi richiedere gratuitamente una pulizia approfondita. La palestra presente è un po’ piccola e dispone solo di 1 cyclette, 1 Tapis roulant, un’altra macchina e un paio di pesi. La colazione è scarsa nel reparto dolce perché non è tipico in Corea la colazione con cappuccino, croissant e marmellate, ma sul reparto salato è varia ed abbondante, consiglio vivamente di aggiungerla al soggiorno! Nel complesso l’hotel è valido, ma tornassi a Seoul preferirei un hotel in posizione Mugyodong o Jongno, più centrali rispetto ai palazzi, ai musei e alle aree commerciali di Myeongdong.

フロントには日本語が話せる方もいて他の皆さん含めとても親切でした。お部屋はコンパクトですがとてもキレイです。ベッドがシングルで中央にあるので寝返りで落ちないか少し心配でした。水のサービスは初日のみ、客室清掃はオーダー制です。廊下にゴミ箱があるので部屋にゴミを溜め込む事なく過ごせます。窓からソウルタワーが見えたのと屋上に上がると景色が一望できリフレッシュできました。大通りに面していますが騒音も気にならず快適でした。利用しませんでしがWowpassの機械もあるため困った時は便利だと思います。東大門歴史公園駅から距離はありますが地下の出入りが目の前にあるので雨の日や寒い日はそこを通って駅まで行けるのでとても便利です。夜に通ると地下通路の途中にホームレスの方がいるので不安がありましたが足早に通り抜けました。気になる場合は地上を通った方がよいかもしれません。仁川空港利用でしたのでリムジンバス乗り場もベイトンホテルまで行けば乗れます、すぐ近くで楽でした。また、隣がCUなので滞在中何度も利用しとても便利でした。全体的にとても快適でしたのでまた利用したいホテルです。

주차장이 없어서 매우 불편해요.

직원 친절, 깨끗한 객실. 공연 관람차 2박3일 편하게 있다가 왔음. 이번엔 조식을 이용하지 않아서 모르겠으나 예전 기억으론 무난했음. 하나 아쉬웠던건 이불에 살짝 남아있던 작은 얼룩, 그리고 비치된 수건 중 구멍이 난 게 있었다는 것.

The room was extremely dirty and outdated. The wooden frame was broken, and I ended up sleeping on the floor.. I do not recommend this place unless you have no other choice.

立地がよく、歩いても韓国の街へ行けるのがすごく便利でした！ 部屋も、日本のコンセント使用もできて便利でした。 チェックイン後部屋へ行くと、床に髪の毛が結構落ちいたのでそこが残念でした。

房間感覺很久沒打掃，房間門，櫃子，佈滿整片灰塵，洗臉盆堵塞水消的很慢很慢，只有沐浴乳跟洗髮精，沒有潤髮乳，而且都只剩下一點點點點點，跟櫃檯反應後，隔天直接放在房間內，也不幫忙補上（牆壁有架子專門放沐浴乳洗髮精的，超難拔） 整體住宿體驗不好，員工部分是好的，熱心幫忙，周圍環境不錯，離東大門廣藏市場都近

洗面所の排水詰まりがすごく、1人が洗顔などで使ったら、流れるまで時間がかかる。シャンプー、ボディーソープが全然出なくよく見たら栓がしたまま取り付けられていて、外そうと思っても、全然外れなく使えなかった！

フロントに日本語が話せるスタッフがいてくださり初めてのeSIMでネットが使えない状況に相談したら快く見てくださり繋げてくれてとても感謝してます。 残念だったのはシャワールームの排水溝が詰まり水が流れなくややストレスでした お掃除してもらったのにゴミ箱に捨ててゴミが下に散乱していたりトイレットペーパーの補充がされていなかったりとその点が残念でした 空調は快適でした！ 東大門の買い物や広蔵市場へは徒歩で行けて とても便利でした

Check-in and received the dirty room. Bed sheet not clean, there is no warm water, especially the toilet is super dirty. Call the lobby to tell that the room are dirty and they said that the house keeping is not working until tomorrow. Also they mention about “if you need your room clean, please call them ahead”. So disappointed when received the room.

日本語がお上手なスタッフもいて安心できました！ とにかくどこに行くにも便利な場所です！ 部屋は若干狭くてトイレやシャワーの音も漏れまくりなので気の知れた人なら大丈夫です（笑） また韓国行く時は利用したいです！

部屋の温度が28.5度に設定してあり、暑すぎた為、変更を申し出たが、温度は変えれないので、窓を開けて下さいというありえない対応だった。笑

Check in was quick and hassle free. Excellent WiFi and great location. The carpet in the room was extremely stained. We had two single beds and they were really small, however slept well.

隣の部屋の話し声、テレビの音声がはっきり聞こえる。上下左右の部屋の排水の音も常に聞こえて、神経質でなくても眠れない。

スタッフは親切でした。 空調が難点。温度調整ができず、つけると激寒く、つけないと暑い。

My room was uncomfortably hot. Besides that, everything else was fine.

The property is in a good location to explore Seoul. However there are a few negatives. There’s only one washing machine for the whole hotel, so we had to use the coin laundry down the road. The gym is very small. We were given a room in which the whole walls had glow in the dark stars all over them, this made it impossible to sleep. The toilet/shower in the room are in a glass cube, with zero privacy. Pretty strange

ツインを予約しました。すごく狭くて不便でした。トイレにウォシュレットなし、風呂浴槽なし。トイレとシャワー室に鍵などなく硝子張りなので友達同士とかなら無理かも…

The rooms are super small. No space for large luggages. Family of 5 - two rooms - struggling with space to move around.

韓国に行く際には必ずこちらのホテルにお世話になります。 私的には立地とお値段がベスト！ 早朝便で早く着いてもチェックインまでの間、チェックアウト後も荷物を預かってくれてとても親切です。 ただ、今回は、お部屋の床にゴミや髪の毛埃が落ちていて少し汚かったかなーという印象。

Request basic cleaning which includes ( emptying out garbage cans, changing towels, and making bed) beds were never made. On my fourth day, I requested deep cleaning, They changed towels, emptied out the garbage cans, made the bed, but never cleaned the floor. Second night of my stay power went out due to construction on the street. Hotel landline phone never worked and there were no way of getting hold of front desk. looking down from 17th story high there were multiple firetrucks and police cars. I walked down 17 floors to lobby to find out what that happened.. They have never informed guest of the incident till next day on a piece of paper place it on the elevator entrance. I thought that was very poor, communicating with guests of the hotel. By the way, I stayed five nights. Location was good .

Everyone was very friendly and spoke wonderful English. They helped us get a taxi for our trip to Seoul station. Highly recommend!!!!

立地が良いと思って使わせて貰いました。 フロントの方も日本語が話せるので不便はなかったです。 シャワーのお湯が出ないという、ハプニングがありましたが、早急に対応してくれました。 フロントの方は皆さんとても良い接客でした！ 次回も候補に入れたいホテルでした。

Very friendly, professional, and accomodating staff. I stayed in a single-bed room (as a solo traveler) for 5 nights. Worked for me as I was out exploring the area most of the time. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to parks and shopping malls. It's also about 15 minutes from Meongdong, which I didn't know upon booking the room. Meongdong is a fun touristy place to walk around and try street food. The single rooms in the hotel are quite compact, so if you are planning to travel with others and/or be inside for lengthy periods, perhaps opt for a larger space. Still, I was very comfortable--bed, bathroom, shower etc. all was well-kept and clean. I also paid for breakfast each morning at a very reasonable price. They offer buffet style with many options. I am vegetarian and was able to get my fill of eggs, fruit...and coffee. I will plan to stay here again when back in the area. Many thanks.

The hotel was fine for a 3 star hotel. The staff on the desk were very pleasant. The problem was that the rooms are not serviced. I requested mine was cleaned after 3 days but it was never done during the 6 days I was there. Other guests just got frustrated and piled their rubbish outside their room in the corridor for over 4 days.

Rude, not foreign friendly staff, dirty rooms. Not for foreigners. We were greeted by a memeber in the middle of the night arrival who was particularly rude, unhelpful and couldnt even confirmed whether we were at the right hotel or not. He was yelling at us to pay foe the taxi, which we intend to, had we known we are at thw right place. The rooms are extremely dirty and unhealthy.

The air conditioning was broken in the first room and we were a bit cold for the first night, but the staff was very kind and quick with changing rooms for us. The area is very convenient in going around Seoul.

友達と1部屋ずつ取って泊まりました。 1人なら十分な広さでした。 スタッフの方も終始いい人で、男性の方がいつも笑顔で親切でした。

The property & room were very good for the price we paid. The room was a bit small, but it was ok for the 2 of us. The front staff were very friendly and extremely helpful during our stay. It is within walking distance of many restaurants & shopping malls & stores. Train line is just outside Travelodge, and the airport bus is just across the street. They have a nice rooftop area with tables that you could sit and enjoy the city scenery. I would recommend

立地条件が素晴らしい。複数の地下鉄駅から近く、観光に行くにしても、食事に行くにしても大変便利。更に、徒歩圏内に食事は多くの店があり、コンビニも多い。

it was close to the subway and its on the city centre.. everything is accessible

地下鉄やバス停から近くて、観光や買い物に大変便利でした。大きな通りに面しているので夜遅くなっても安心でした。 お部屋はとても清潔で、バスタブはありませんでしたが独立したシャワールームがあり、取り外しの出来るシャワーがついていて良かったです。水圧も広さも十分でした。 清掃はお願いすれば無料で簡易清掃がしていただけます。タオルの交換もあり、ミネラルウォーターも補充してくださるので、十分でした。 ただ、泊まった部屋がコネクティングルームの構造だったのせいか、隣の音（咳）が丸聞こえで、こちらの声も聞こえるのかな？と夜遅くの会話に気を使いました。 その点だけが気になりましたが、お安く快適に泊まれてとても満足です。またソウルに行く時には是非泊まりたいと思います。

Frühstück halbwegs okay. Cafe sehr gut, Teller etc.muss man selbst wegeäumen, Eier nur jeden 2. Tag. Das ist alles verschmerzbar aber Bett ist hart. Ansonst ist das Hitel sehr schön.Neu. sauber. Gute Lage nettes Personal ist eine Art IBISü

Chambre assez petite mais bien agencée. Salle de bain avec douche italienne de qualité. Literie de bonne qualité. Petit déjeuner assez complet. Nous recommandons.

서비스는 최고입니다만 방크기도 너무작고, 편의시설이 매우 부족합니다. 특히 조식은 너무하죠ㅠ

Breakfast buffet looked good but didn’t taste good. I think the food was prepared off-site then reheated. Truly mediocre

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Bedroom is quite small, but bed was comfortable and the room had all basic amenities. Great view of the city skyline. Good place to book if you will spend most of the time outside. I found the breakfast a bit pricey for what they offer.

Breakfast was a little light in variety, offering western breakfast options and what was more like asian dinner options. Juice, milk and coffee options were good. Overall, worth the $7USD. Room was clean. AC worked well.

Great for a stay when we had to move from A previous hotel. Room is great, but breakfast buffet can be a lot better.

Wish there was more variety at breakfast. Room was on the small side. Good for one person, maybe s little tight for two. Friendly staff and excellent location to explore.

Hotel fica longe dos lugares mais turísticos da cidade. Vista muito bonita. Arrumação do quarto precisa ser solicitado, o que é ruim, porque nos três dias que ficamos, nos esquecemos de pedir. O pior do hotel é o café da manhã, não vale ser pago, poucas opções e sempre lotado.
