The hotel photos were very deceiving compare to the actual property. No complementary or selling of any kind of beverage or snack at the hotel.

Ice maker not available. The ice was stored in a cooler i consider it unsanitary. TV reception was not clear, room was small for the price.

Staff cool n helpful. Love the back patio n bar below with music. Nice boutique hotel by train n shops

The property was nice and chill. Very clean. Kind staff. There was also a comedy night at the hotel that was very fun! There were a few minor things I noted: The elevator was down for majority of my stay so that put a bit of a damper on the experience being on a higher floor. Also the hallways were super muggy and humid. The area is VERY active, but nothing out of the norm for BK. Would recommend!

The room was clean, the hotel was nice and there was a comedy show happening on the 1sr floor. Someone was blasting music into the wee hours and we heard it from our room. The elevator was out of service that same night, and we were told it would be fixed by the morning, it wasnt. So we had to walk up and the the steps multiple times. The train is right outside, so thats something to think about.

Staff helpful and pleasant and the room clean and bed comfortable. The train tracks were directly outside our window so it was noisy. The tv did not work and there was no bedside light. The only amenities were water and ice downstairs in the basement. No food service. The streets outside were littered and unclean.

The hotel has very basic amenities if you want to call them that. Water and ice in the basement and a place to sit outside. There is a club in the hotel and you can hear it all hours of the night. I was on the 6th floor and we could still hear it. Location was good for my needs but that’s about it.

Hotel was in a good location for my stay. I was there to attend a graduation in Brooklyn and to see family while there. A good place to lay your head, bed and pillows gave good support, bathroom was clean. Elevated train outside of my window but was no bother. Had a club/bar downstair but music was not a bother and patrons of the club were not a bother either. If you have a car there is only street parking, which could be a problem finding after hours. All-in-all decent stay!

My only critique was that there was not a fridge included. The microwave & ice machine in the basement did suffice.

Hotel 1080 is a great gem for local night life. They have a lounge bar on the first floor and the atmosphere was really nice. It can be a tad nosy during the late night hours but you can tone it out easily. The room was nice and clean. I have no complaints overall. 10/10, I will definitely book again!

Extremely convenient for Subway access to Manhattan. some really good breakfast/lunch restaurants nearby. Hotel very nicely modernized and was kept very clean. Staff was very friendly.

The bathroom grossed me out so much I was just disgusting

This was a very clean and well maintained hotel. A great no-frills place to crash in Brooklyn for a weekend with local delis, restaurants, and coffee shops all a short walk away.

The room is small, but appeared clean. The area of town is not great, but convenient in getting to major train routes. We found a contact lens on our bed the first day (we do not wear contacts). We let the front desk know the following morning, and when we came back, the towels had been replaced, but nothing had been cleaned and the contact lens was still there. We followed up again, and the front desk person was more receptive and helpful and the room seemed to receive a more thorough cleaning. No coffee, mini fridge, blow dryer, or typical amenities at this hotel. Bodegas next door and across the street, the latter of which is a little better. It would have been fine if we had trusted that it was clean, but it was unclear how well the room was cleaned.

It was an affordable option in a convenient location. Areas around are a bit run down, but I guess that’s why the price is affordable. My only issue was that the bathroom in my room hadn’t been cleaned well. Otherwise, everything else was ok.

Super clean and well kept! I arrived early and they let me check into an available room 6 hours ahead of time, which was super convenient! Super quiet and chill, nice back patio, consistent and quality housekeeping.

The toilet was filthy. The shade did not work. There was unidentified dirt near bed There was no ironing board. I like the room outside of these few things. I did not like the reception on arrival. Quick to ask for money...it bothered me. I am sorry l spoke meanly to the two there. Then a third joined them saying they had did something wrong. I was ready to leave. I just felt ambushed, today after a long trip. Not good feeling at all. I was tired, so l will apologize to the staff. I just couldn't understand why they kept asking for money. I paid total on my card. They ask to hold 100.00 and 75.00 for early check in. I became upset. Never been treated like that.

My Room was Very Dusty, kept Sneezing until I went to get Claritin from the corner store. You could tell the room want properly cleaned or Dusted

We respectful staff rooms are very clean

The shower in that room wasn't what we expected. There's a see through glass into the shower and we couldn't comfortably shower knowing that the other person could literally see us

The room was exactly as described online. It was neat and clean. Unfortunately, there were a few things that were less than ideal for my stay. The room was not conducive for work. There is no sofa, chair or table to comfortably use a laptop, the shower is somewhat see through from the hotel room. The wall that’s on the side of the hotel room is a mirror when the bathroom light is off. But when the light is on, you can see the silhouette of the person in the shower. There is no phone in the room so you can’t call the front desk or for an emergency. The person at the desk didn’t know why there was no phone in the hotel room. There is a $15 per day facility fee but there is no gym, pool, nice view, kitchen, bar, room service, bell stand or anything else that would constitute a “facility” fee. I’m already paying to stay there. That should be my fee. The hotel is walking distance to the train station in both directions. That was pretty convenient.

We stayed for a concert at Barclays which is 15 minutes away. There are some great places to eat, One across the street and one a few blocks away. The room was small but comfortable. Not super clean. The important thing to note is that there is a nightclub downstairs. Music was booming until at least 1:30am. I wouldn’t stay here again mainly for that reason, but if I needed to be in the neighborhood, I would. Not terrible, but not great.

Amazing staff! Good location for catching the subway but you can hear the subway throughout the night. If you’re a light sleeper I would advise on preparing for that. There is also an adjacent night club/bar. You can hear the music until around 2/3am, especially on the lower floors. The hotel was clean and good for us since we are decently heavy sleepers.

The room we stayed in was stylish and clean. The thing is, there is a club attached to the hotel, and we were on the floor directly above the club. Club music was rattling our brains out until the wee hours of the morning, well after 1am. This was as intense as it sounds. I'm not talking about a faint sound in the distance. Just imagine you are at a dance club with loud music, heavy bass, and a crowd of people singing along to the music, and then you go to the room next door. That will give you an idea of what trying to sleep in our room was like. Not exaggerating. If you are planning to stay out until 2 or 3 am anyway, (or enjoying the club downstairs until close) this hotel room might be a good fit for you - it's a cool room. But if you're traveling with kids or trying to get up early the next morning, this room will be a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE for you.

The room was very clean and nice looking but it was much smaller than it appeared in the photo. Looking back, the bench and small table were not in the photo. Space is limited. There are hooks and a wall to wall shelf above the television but no drawers or closet. There was also no refrigerator or phone in the room and ice can only be found in the basement. The mirror doubles as a glass shower wall so very sexy for couples, not cute for platonic friends or those of us traveling with children. My husband only showered when my daughter was asleep. The bellhop was creepy and stared at my 5 year old too much and attempted to make conversation which I had to shut down letting him know she was clearly uncomfortable. The music when we arrived on fathers day evening was wildly loud. There is a lounge attached and the bass could be felt throughout the building. We were "lucky" to be on the fifth floor as my daughter and I discovered as we ventured to all the lower floors during our quest for ice as there was no mention of where the ice was located, no phone in the room to ask and no answer when I called the hotel from my cell. Anyone could just walk in, no one was checking. We were able to walk in off the street and get into the elevator. There is no parking and there a lot going on the area making it difficult to drive in the area or find parking. Good luck folks.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. It’s a cute boutique hotel and I can see how they’re trying to look good for the area. However, my biggest concerns were hearing the music from the bar/restaurant on the first floor up on the third floor until 2am every night. Also, we could hear from a nearby room other guests having sex which isn’t ideal. I believe I tried to book a room not on the subway side of the building but we were placed on that side anyway. The train was the least of our worries with the sound issues. The room was nice but it needs minor maintenance. The door to the bathroom had edges loose, there were some paint spots on the toilet which you don’t see in higher end hotels. We never could find the remote for the tv. We didn’t care that much for watching anything anyway or we would have requested a remote. Even with the shower door closed water was able to seep under and onto the rest of the bathroom floor. Make sure to put a towel down. We didn’t realize until we walked in we could see into the shower from the bedroom which kinda made things awkward between me (male), my husband and my female cousin staying together to save money. We made it work though and overall enjoyed the experience making light of the situation.

There were limited amenities (no mini fridge, no microwave, no hairdryer, also no conditioner if that matters to some.. no hairdryer either). The bed was creaky and the walls were paper thin, you could hear everything in the halls. Customer service was excellent though - the staff was kind and attentive to our needs. They kept up with the cleanliness of the room while we were out and also didn't ignore our DND sign. The area around the hotel always smelled of weed and didn't feel very safe walking at night. But the hotel itself is okay.

It was cheap but the room came without a dresser or closet. Hangers on wall and a shelf more than 6' in the air. If you are short... good luck. Small desk with wooden bench. It was an adequate place to sleep. The A/C was fine though unnecessary on my trip. Maids did a good cleaning after the first night but skipped the next day. Plenty of tourists would feel unsafe in this neighborhood especially after dark.

I'd describe Hotel 1080 as adequate or decent. It was clean and convenient. Great location to be close to nightlife. The bed was a spring mattress so it wasn't very comfortable, but it was good enough. Decor was odd -- weird nautical clock that didn't work, ugly color red accents, and slightly industrial style. Oddly there was no trash can or phone in the room.

The guy that did the check in was rude, was not welcoming at all, and did the less possible to help or make sure guest felt comfortable

Toiletries were not stocked during check in, no hairdryer, bathroom door didn't fully close or lock. They barged in one day around 9am to do maintenance in the bathroom without notice.

Staff was lovely, kind and helpful.

I paid for early check in and while my husband and I tried to nap multiple staff (housekeeping I assume) entered our room without knocking, the room had already been cleaned, so it was confusing and quite fustrating.

The stay was ok. I found out that the hotel charged me the deposit money. I called to inform them and was told it would be resolved on Monday. Monday passed and nothing was done.

Online it says check in is at 3, i came in at about 3:45 and they told me my room wasn’t ready yet since they overbooked themselves. Told me about an hour wait, I called back in an hour and they told me it still wasn’t ready. It was about 5pm at this time already. My sister lives nearby but other family was already staying with her. Otherwise we would’ve been stranded until dark waiting for a room i already paid for. Then they offered to reimburse me a 100 fee ($15 per night) because i brought the late check in to their attention and i still haven’t received that money. No drawers or closet to hang clothes. not even a hair dryer. Walls are paper thin and smells like weed. Won’t be staying here again.

When you enter Hotel 1080 you feel as if you are home away from home. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. My experience has been wonderful and, as a result, I keep returning.

No one add the front desk when i got in (9pm), had to wait 25 min. The noise from the bar downstairs is so loud i couldnt sleep. The guy at the reception told me i would not hear the noice from my room (5th floor) but this was not true.

The hotel is in the rough part of Brooklyn. There are public transport links a short distance away, but it takes around 25 minutes to reach the city centre and most of the time, you will not get a seat on the subway. There are also a LOT of stairs in most of the subway stations, so be prepared! The photos of the property were very misleading, particularly the photos of the exterior. We thought the hotel would be a lot nicer than it actually was and that the location was nicer. It is not. It is dirty and smelly. However, the staff are really nice and quite accommodating. On night 2 of our stay, there was an event at the hotel, so it was quite noisy and we could even hear it on the 3rd floor where we were staying. Though this hotel is not a bad choice if you are on a budget, if you're going to New York, I would suggest you stay closer to the city centre if you can.

Property is in close proximity to the J & M subway lines, which is convenient, but can be loud during the night. The streets directly outside the hotel are dirty, but the neighborhood did not feel overally unsafe. Hotel staff was not the most friendly but helped when asked. During check in we had to be moved to three seperate rooms because the rooms we were assigned to were not clean.

This hotel was amazing and I will definitely reserve another room for my next NYC trip. The staff members were extremely nice, the rooms were clean and that’s really all I need. The location was also amazing as its walking distance from the train. Thank you for an amazing stay !

I like the friendliness of the staff. None was rude. They were all very polite and respectful. Although I didn’t like where the hotel is located, around an unsafe area if I’m walking by myself during the day and possibly more scary during the night. It’s a walking distance to the subway station. There were 3 of us so ok to walk but at night, be careful. We used uber when the nearest subway station was closed. Uber was under $10. Overall, the room was basic, clean, and quiet. We only used it to rest and sleep and with the cost of hotels in NYC, none can beat the price. If you are on a budget and not the scary type, it is worth your stay.

Pretty basic no frills Hotel. Clean, no amenities. Bar downstairs LOUD until 2am so the train directly in front provides a welcome drone to counterbalance the constant bass beat. Front desk staff meh. On the positive, decent dining in the area and a lot of street art.
