Pros: Convenient to train station, walking distance to the famous Gwangjang market, and about a 40 minute walk to Meyong-dong. The room provides soap, toothpaste, body wash, a tea kettle, blow dryer, flat iron, and mini fridge that is stocked with a couple waters and juices. They really do provide everything to try to make your stay comfortable. Cons: The bed was extremely firm. Furnishings are dated. AC stopped working on our last night. It possibly could have been user error since the remote is in Korean and I didn’t understand the symbols. That’s not the hotels fault obviously. FYI: This is outside of the main tourist area, so the hotel front desk doesn’t speak any English. Not an issue for us, we used Papago for translation.

The building is old and has the feel of a traditional Korean motel. The location was better than expected, with theaters and markets within walking distance. The cleaning was generally good, but it was very disappointing that there was hair from the previous guest on the hairbrush, a leftover water bottle from the previous guest in the refrigerator, and the batteries in the air conditioner remote were weak. Also, since it's an old building, there were no sprinklers in the rooms.

1 ⭐️ My experience with this hotel in Seoul was disappointing and unacceptable. Due to a genuine family emergency, I was forced to end my stay early and return home. I promptly notified the hotel, providing sufficient notice and clear documentation of the situation, in good faith that they would handle the matter with a basic level of professionalism and compassion. Instead, the hotel failed entirely in its duty of customer service. My communications were ignored, and no effort was made to respond, assist, or even acknowledge the situation. I subsequently escalated the matter through Expedia, yet despite this, the hotel remained uncooperative and unwilling to engage. While I respect that policies exist, a complete absence of communication and any refusal to consider exceptional circumstances is both unreasonable and unprofessional. This level of disregard for guests is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. Based on my experience, you should not expect responsiveness, flexibility, or adequate customer care should any issue arise.
