Excellent restaurant attached to the hotel which was a determining factor in the choice of lengthy stay. Best food we had in the city. Exceptional service from all staff….a common comment echoed through guests. Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Many forms of transit to sites just out the door or a few steps away. For those who like to walk (like we do), it’s an enjoyable form of exercise if you don’t mind a 30 min jaunt.

Lovely boutique hotel in the pretty castle district. Great service, good size room in the courtyard with a fabulous shower. Good choice of food for breakfast which was delicious. Would totally recommend.

What an absolute gem this place is. The rooms are clean and comfortable, AC and great Wifi. The front desk staff was full of information and suggestions for site seeing. And the best part was the restaurant. The food is homemade and absolutely phenomenal. Worthy of five stars. The breakfast was delicious, made to order. Also lots of options for help yourself. 100%. I would recommend this location to anyone. Walking distance to lots of sites on the Buda side, close to transit and a quick trip down into the downtown core. I want to thank Alexandra for providing us with fantastic service and many fun and wonderful memories. All in all, this was the highlight of our trip.

Amazing hotel in the heart of the Castle district. Room was beautifully decorated, spacious and well equipped, including mini bar (water and soft drinks). Bar bistro section is lovely and inclusive breakfast options were delicious. Easy transport links to other areas including city centre.

This is a gem of a hotel - lovely personal touches by the staff (they couldn't have done more), great sized room and a lovely place to unwind after a hard day site-seeing. The food and bar were fab & the terrace was a sun trap.

The hotel is beautiful. At the restaurant i spoke to another American at the hotel restaurant who checked into the room i checked out of. He planned to move to a hotel on the Pest side after a couple of days until he saw the room. Great breakfast too

I was only here briefly, due to travel delays, etc., but my thought is, this is a destination hotel, I would happily stay here again. The building is historic, with modern updates all over, very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet/entree was awesome, and included in the price. They don't "nickel and dime" you here. And the location cannot be beat. I wish I were staying longer... next time!

I recently stayed at Maison Bristol and Hotel and overall, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality and professional service. I’m picky about hotel cleanliness and services. The services and staffs are by far the best I had. The rooms are small but super clean. The staffs are very considerate and try to put personal touch to their service. I loved staying there.

The room was clean & spacious, loved the bathroom facilities, the bed was like sleeping on clouds extremely comfortable. Close to the restaurant and 24hr access to drink or meals. We were in the heart of the castle district perfect location we loved it.

Das Hotel ist ein gutes, schönes, kleines Hotel, es liegt schön auf dem Schlossberg und man kann die Innenstadt sehr gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen. Die Zimmer sind auch im Winter sehr warm und die Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht richtig. Für das Doppelbett gibt es eine Decke! Auf Nachfrage für eine zweite Decke haben wir drei Anläufe gebraucht, bis reagiert wurde. Die Zimmer sind schön, staubsaugen kennt man jedoch nicht. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch und meistens sehr frisch, auch das Personal die das Frühstück bringen sind super freundlich und helfen gerne! Für ein Hotel mit 4 Sternen und dem Preis ( 4 Nächte 640€ ) sind natürlich die Erwartungen sehr hoch und es darf nicht sein, dass die Fenster, die am Kopfteil des Bettes sind, mit einer Decke abgedichtet werden müssen da es sonst zieht. Auch dass in 4 Tagen nicht einmal Staub gesaugt wird und noch tote Mücken auf der Fensterbank liegen.

This place was amazing and at the heart of Buda area. The hotel and rooms were spotless and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful and the area is quite and peaceful. Badrummet hade en tung skjutdörr i trä som lämnade en 2-3 cm glipa, dvs inte ljudisolerat alls. Fint inrett badrum men endast städat på ytan. Var ett sipprande ljud från toaväggen som också störde under natten. Rummet var hemskt inrett. Gardinerna som såg ut att vara mörkläggningsgardiner släppte in mycket ljus. Sängarna var sköna. En av herrarna som var servitör var mycket trevlig. Maten vi åt på kvällen väldigt god. Frukost var okej. Trevligt att få beställa från en meny och att det fanns lite buffé utöver det. En av killarna i receptionen pratade alldeles för mycket, vi förstod knappt vad han sa, han lyssnade dåligt och utifrån råd han gav oss kände han inte till området så väl. Personnel très sympa et à l'écoute, très bonne nourriture que ce soit les petits dejeuners ou le restaurant. Situation géographique au top, très bel environnement ! Petit bémol sur la clim de notre chambre qui faisait énormément de bruit de tuyauterie même quand on l'eteignait.... Personnel avisé, prêt de bouchon d'oreille mais le problème n'a pas été réglé.

Posizione al centro di Buda perfetta per muoversi. Il personale è gentilissimo e molto professionale. Colazione ottima. Stanza comoda anche se con qualche pecca come condizionatore un po' rumoroso e letto non comodissimo (gusti personali). Comunque consigliabile.

Great hotel, some of the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Excellent food and coffee. Room was so nice and quiet. However. I wasn’t a fan of the room decor, I was in the “retro room” room 14. I would stay again but ask for a room with more relaxing decor.

The free breakfast was great with very good coffee! Room was roomy, didn't know we were one floor up the stairs, but the person helped with our luggage so it wasn't an issue for us. They do have ground floor rooms. We loved our stay here!

Excellent they couldn’t do enough for me. Receptionist (Marci and Sandor) were very friendly. The room was spacious and was well heated (outside was cold). The shower had good pressure and had L’Occitan shower gel and shampoo. The bathroom was modern with nice features. The breakfast was plentiful with cold cuts and hot food options available such as eggs benedict, scrambled eggs etc. Overall had an amazing stay and I’d have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It’s also a stone’s throw away from the famous Fisherman’s bastion.

We enjoyed a five night stay, treated very well by all staff. Dining room staff was especially helpful, professional and friendly. Food à la cart and at the breakfast breakfast was phenomenal. Totally worthwhile experience and highly recommend for others staying in the castle district of Budapest.

This place was amazing and at the heart of Buda area. The hotel and rooms were spotless and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful and the area is quite and peaceful. The service provided was the best I have ever received. The staff are proud of their hotel and do everything to make your stay memorable. They provide helpful recommendations for guests, arrange transport and in my case a well prepared breakfast bag as I was taking a very early train.My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and very good air conditioning. The area of Castle Hill is a very historic and special area and still very accessable to cross the Danube by tram or bus or walking. I highly recommend staying here and enjoy the very good restaurant and extensive wine list.

What can I say? The reviews were all spot on. We absolutely loved our stay at the Maison Bistro & Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it. Our room was a Grand Double and it was a beautiful space to spend 3 days in. Spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with cool furniture and fittings. The bed and pillows were super comfy, the ensuite was great with powerful shower and L’Occitane toiletries. Breakfast was extremely good with plenty of buffet options and a choice of hot dish which was cooked and presented beautifully. Staff were in general lovely, friendly and helpful. The location in the Castle district was perfect for us. The Fisherman's Bastion close by was such a lovely place to stroll when the tourists had left in the evening. We walked everywhere - the Chain Bridge was approximately 20 minutes away - but the number 16 bus into the city went every 10 minutes.

What an absolute gem this place is. The rooms are clean and comfortable, AC and great Wifi. The front desk staff was full of information and suggestions for site seeing. And the best part was the restaurant. The food is homemade and absolutely phenomenal. Worthy of five stars. The breakfast was delicious, made to order. Also lots of options for help yourself. 100%. I would recommend this location to anyone. Walking distance to lots of sites on the Buda side, close to transit and a quick trip down into the downtown core. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Made us feel so welcoming and provided complimentary champagne and torte to commemorate our anniversary. The jacuzzi was a nice touch but took forever to even fill half way and when we turned the jets on it smelt so bad we didn’t end up using it.
