Close to Heathrow. Lots of parking. Great history, built in 1106. Remodeled, clean & a good value. Only issue is the room was next to the pub which was noisy until 11 pm with music and laughing.

Really good location, convenient distance to Heathrow and Windsor. The Inn was historic and charming. Note- the reception closes at 11 PM, so if you have a late flight make sure you try to get there prior to this.

Great little hotel, beer garden out back, friendly staff. Take the 81 or 703 bus, it is like 3 bucks and drops off right in front. Leaves every 20 minutes back to airport! Skip the expensive cab ride. Soooo much better than airport hotel, built in 1106 fun place to stay.

This is a hidden gem, especially if you are fly in/out of Heathrow airport. The rooms are beautiful with some quirkiness. The pub food is excellent, especially the breakfast.

Stayed one night at the Ostrich Inn and was enchanted. Quaint, clean, and such nice staff. I arrived as the kitchen was closing and yet they graciously fed me. The food was delicious. Access to Heathrow was incredibly easy. I had to be at the airport by 6 in the morning and was able to simple walk across the street to pick up the bus to Terminal 3. Despite it being dark, I felt perfectly safe as the street and stops were well lit. I will definitely go back on my next trip through or to London.

Unique place to stay. No lifts so be prepared to haul luggage up uneven stairs. Our roof was rather drafty and the provided extra space heater did not work. But the extra blankets for the bed were cozy. During the pub hours, music plays constantly (stopped at 11 pm). Overall a neat place with some interesting and unique history. Easy access via the 703 bus from Heathrow terminal 5. Staff was friendly and helpful. Attached restaurant had an amazing Sunday roast!

Beautifully old inn type hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and decor was very styled to the era. Very easy to speak to prior to arrival . Free parking which is always a plus. Very reasonably priced. Also had a restaurant. Breakfast had lots of choices & evening meal menu was fantastic & very tasty. Stayed as it was about 30mins drive from Wembley Stadium & Sunningdale Golf Course about 15 mins.A happy medium for the wknd. Beautiful little village and apparently haunted! 👻

The room was nice and check in was convenient but I do think it's a problem that there was no 24 hour reception for the price I was paying. There was no one around to take my key when I left... so I left it in the room and I have no idea what would have happened if I'd arrived (as I often do) after midnight. If these things aren't concerns for you though then this is a nice little hotel close to heathrow and the staff were friendly.

Lovely old building with a huge room. Decor was a little tired and areas behind roll top bath etc were not especially clean. Lots of scuffed paintwork and badly patched tiles etc. Bed was also a little short if you are tall. I was on my own so slept at an angle so was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful but there was an issue with their WiFi going down and payment not being available by card in the pub/restaurant etc. At about 9.00pm there was a huge fight that started in the pub I think and went outside. A knife was definitely involved and it was terrifying to hear. The hotel cannot help this but they didn’t come round to check on rooms or anything afterwards which would have been nice. Overall for the price it is a nice place and quirky choice near to Heathrow with free parking. Just lacking in a few details which would make it special.

Nice property with friendly staff. Bedrooms were very hot (due to recent hot weather), no opening windows so couldn’t get any fresh air, no air con but a fan was provided which helped. The bathroom could do with some maintenance - broken toilet seat, paint peeling, mould around shower, etc. Despite the heat, I had a very good nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable. The TV was an internet one so couldn’t display any regular tv channels. The food in the bar was excellent and plentiful! Highly recommend eating here.

Though some areas could be spruced up (humidity in the bathroom appears to be causing some mold to start, and the mattress cover had some stains on it), the shower was wonderful with plenty of hot water, and the double room was spacious and comfortable. It was a great bonus to have a fan in the bedroom. Coffee and tea supplies in the room were much appreciated. The staff were very kind and lent us a wine cooler with ice to chill our wine along with glasses and a corkscrew. Breakfast (not included in the room price) was pretty good value for money and well presented. We could hear the planes taking off from Heathrow, but the double pane windows helped a lot, and we soon didn’t really notice the planes. Parking was free and immediately behind the hotel in a safe lot. The historical look of the hotel was wonderful, and we appreciated the history and the architecture. It was a very easy 10 minute drive to the car rental return at the airport. We would absolutely stay at The Ostrich Inn again!

It's convenient for Heathrow airport parking for all terminals. We have stayed here twice before when it was owned by Shepherd Neame but since it changed hands it appears no maintenance work has been carried out. Our room had polystyrene attached below the sink witch I assume was covering missing tiles, the sink had a hair line crack in it and the lower grouting in the shower was discoloured, something a good scrub with mould and mildew killer would sort out. The food available in the bar/restaurant lacked choice and was below par compared to the food they used to serve.

Pros: inexpensive, eccentric decor, close to LHR Cons: slow shower drain, musty room smell, dust bunnies on ceiling, needs maintenance to do a walk through. Good for a 1 night stay, would avoid if longer. Limited options near by. Room literally right next to street, on aircraft path so you will here the flights. A very interesting stay, it met my needs, it was a very safe area. Check in was very easy. There are pluses and it’s not awful. It’s just different from what I’m used too. If they would do a maintenance walk through to fix some items and dust the ceiling the would be a very charming place to stay. The pub area looked fun to hangout. Staff professional and pleasant.

It was great staying in this historic inn. It’s been around for ages and has a rustic tavern feel, in a very cute way. Their restaurant was great, very locals vibe. Authentic English food. The room was nicely decorated. The room faced the street and was not very quiet. You can hear the traffic and at times the room shook from large vehicles passing by.

The room was great for authentic pub feel but very bad quality for mattress on pull out sofa. Cannot sleep on. Paper thin and even one night is uncomfortable. Definitely not meant for actual use. Needs to be changed and not offered to third or fourth person for room.

We loved staying in this gorgeous historic inn (established 1106). Our spacious room had lots of character but had also been thoroughly updated for comfort. The bathroom was great, and looked onto an old turnpike stone. Just remember to close the blind before you undress as the large windows reveal all to the neighbours. Super convenient for Heathrow & Windsor and a really nice place to spend a night or two.

I liked the history of the place and the bathroom. The beds are in need of serious replacement. You can feel the springs coming through. Paid made-to-order breakfast was very good and the staff are friendly. I probably wouldn't however, stay again.

My 2 night stay at the Ostrich Inn was fantastic! I chose this inn for the location & it’s history. Super easy to take the bus (703) from Heathrow T5, on arrival & to get into London for a day trip. It was also easy & affordable to take an Uber to Windsor on my departure. My room (#1) was lovely & comfortable. Only downside was no windows opened for fresh air. The small fan was helpful only since I lucked out with cooler weather. Breakfast & meals at the pub restaurant are great. I recommend booking these meals. Good drinks too. Lovely garden area. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again.

We loved this quirky wonky hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming on check in. On Friday evening they had live music and we had a few drinks in the bar. Sarah was fantastic! Very friendly and was telling us the history of the building, which was fascinating. 10 minute uber ride to Windsor. Only negative was going down for breakfast at 10.50 this morning to be told the kitchen was already closed (board outside says till 11). Gutted as the breakfasts did look delicious, shame we didn't get to find out. The staff definitely didn't match the service we'd received on our first night. As we checked out, the staff were dismissive. They continued chatting amongst themselves. No thank you for staying with us, or asking if we'd enjoyed our stay. Which, had they bothered, we would have told them how great the place was.

Upon arrival my reservation was “lost” but they stepped up and took care of me without hesitation (I had the receipt they had no record at all) I was very impressed. The meal was amazing! All the staff I encountered were amazing, everyone was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

From the moment I walked in as solo traveller I felt very uncomfortable. I had to push my way through a crowded bar to find someone to speak to re my reservation. I did not feel welcomed as the ladies were so busy serving food. I had to work back through the bar with my luggage and then find a way to get my large suitcase up a narrow staircase. A local guy offered help thankfully. My room was chilly, the radiator hardly giving out any heat. I could not figure out how to get any channels on the TV, I called reception 3 times and dropped into voicemail, feeling really unsupported and not valued. The whole night I had the continuous rubble of machinery right next to the wall which gave a disruptive nights sleep, even with earbuds I could feel the rubble. I felt aggrieved after seeing the score this venue has… not my type at all!

What a delightful hotel. The place exudes it's 910 year history. Rooms comfortable. Slept well. Fantastic pub & restaurant. Staff care and service just outstanding. Sarah & team, top marks. This will be our go to base in future!

The room we booked through hotels.com had been given to someone else. We pre-paid hotels.com and I have receipts and email confirmations. However, when we arrived at the inn, they had put us in a small room with only one bed, which would not work for us. And they said we had not paid anything even though I have proof of pre-payment. We could not stay in a room with only one bed so had to go elsewhere, but they still made me pay for the erroneous single bedroom since there was some kind of mix up in communication between hotels.com and the inn -and they had us in a single bed room. So I have paid hotels.com for the two bed room, and had to ante up again for the erroneous single bed room since I was considered “late cancellation.” I’ve gotten no help from hotels.com.

I loved the Hotel and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately we had a mishap which lead to one of us to get locked out of their room after help had already left. Thankfully after a bit of stress we were able to have someone come open it for us and let us back in. I would suggest letting guests, especially foreigners know that the place will shut up at a certain point but besides that the stay was great albeit a little loud from the traffic. Would 10/10 recommend

The room was nice and check in was convenient but I do think it's a problem that there was no 24 hour reception for the price I was paying. There was no one around to take my key when I left... so I left it in the room and I have no idea what would have happened if I'd arrived (as I often do) after midnight. If these things aren't concerns for you though then this is a nice little hotel close to heathrow and the staff were friendly.

This property is so convenient to Heathrow and Windsor Castle. We stayed two nights. This is an old historical establishment with quirky ceiling heights and tons of character. Staff are amazingly supportive and kind. Food is delicious. Rooms are small but well appointed. Parking is a bonus! Highly recommend as a comfortable and welcoming place to stay!

Accommodations is great - only comment rooms are next to Colnbrook High Street - early morning Heathrow rat run, so if not use to vehicles passing where you are sleeping, you might have a disrupted early morning - starts just after 4am - but then you want the staff at the airport for your flights :)

Great little hotel, beer garden out back, friendly staff. Take the 81 or 703 bus, it is like 3 bucks and drops off right in front. Leaves every 20 minutes back to airport! Skip the expensive cab ride. Soooo much better than airport hotel, built in 1106 fun place to stay.

This property has a lot of heritage. It was really neat staying in a hotel of that vintage yet with updated accommodations. The dining area was most enjoyable and the food excellent. There was easy public access to terminal five, which is why we rented a room there. Other than that, there is not much to do in the area close by.

We loved staying in this gorgeous historic inn (established 1106). Our spacious room had lots of character but had also been thoroughly updated for comfort. The bathroom was great, and looked onto an old turnpike stone. Just remember to close the blind before you undress as the large windows reveal all to the neighbours. Super convenient for Heathrow & Windsor and a really nice place to spend a night or two.

The inn was a great find. It has character, it is a 10 minute bus ride to Heathrow, it is in a neighborhood setting that makes it all feel comfortable. The food was delicious and all the staff were very accommodating for the 2 days I was there. If you pass up an opportunity to stay there, you are missing out.

Unique place to stay. No lifts so be prepared to haul luggage up uneven stairs. Our roof was rather drafty and the provided extra space heater did not work. But the extra blankets for the bed were cozy. During the pub hours, music plays constantly (stopped at 11 pm). Overall a neat place with some interesting and unique history. Absolutely worth the stay! The best part of the experience was the service we got from Sree at the bar and dinner. Food was mid at best, but the drinks, dessert, and atmosphere made up for it x10. Our room was ADORABLE, however there was no secondary lock on the door which is concerning for three female travelers. The bed was horrific, we slept horribly, and when we did were awoken by the springs creaking. The room was also on the street side and we could hear every car that went by. If you bring a sound machine and are fine with an uncomfy bed this place would be perfect. All in all, would stay again for the cutesy experience.

The good: - Plenty of space in the car park - Excellent food - Good service - Atmospheric room (in a good way) and inn in general The could-be-improved: - Room 10 (where we were) NEEDS a shower curtain! - The sofa bed (our 22yo son was with us) was a disaster. A spare mattress on the floor would be better. The downsides: - The dinner service was very slow (although worth waiting for), but in their defence they were busier than they had expected; so don't be in a rush. - Did I mention the sofa bed?
