The pool server was sitting on a lounger reading a book & eating ice most of the time. She did not check on us once. We had to go to her to ask for a drink and bring all our empties to her. She was friendly however whenever we did ask her for something. But not great service.

The def didnt feel 4.5 stars. The carpet outside our door had a huge brown stain and the room felt a bit run down. Pool area was nice, but def should be heated. It was upper 80s outside but the pool is in a shadow and was too cold for anyone to swim.

Great hotel just enough out of the way but still had lots of bars and dining options around. Gym was basic, restaurant was nice and the on-site spa was amazing! Only complaint was we waited 45 min to get our vehicle from valet.

Hotel had an odd smell on our floor, the curtains in the room were stained pretty drastically and bed was uncomfortable. Would most likely consider other options in Nashville next time for the price.

Our hotel room (both times) had hair in the shower and on the bathroom floors. Carpeting was also dirty. Shower grout was moldy. General areas looked like they hadn’t been maintained over time. Dirty, scuffed, broken, unkempt. Trash at front entry. Dining service was okay. Waiter nice, but didn’t clear table without being prompted. Door to balcony in our most recent room was wide open upon entry and would not lock which would have been very unsafe had it not been for our kids being older. Pool was not open.

We chose the Kimpton Aertson Hotel based on positive reviews and location while our daughter attended a nearby academic program. The hotel is nicely decorated and feels refreshed, and the staff was friendly. However, we were disappointed by the lack of follow-through on basic service. The in-room card stated linens are changed every three days unless placed on the floor. During our 8-night stay, our bedding was never changed—even after we called the front desk to request it. Housekeeping also skipped our room four times. Each time we called for fresh towels, we were told they’d be sent up shortly, but we had to call again after waiting over an hour with nothing delivered. When we mentioned both towels and the unchanged bedding on our second call, we were asked if the “Do Not Disturb” sign was up, which it wasn’t. Our floor smelt horrible, and the smell seeped into a room. They kept telling us that they were going to fix the smell, and it was never fixed until our last day of our stay. The worst part was, we asked to switch floors and they refused to do it.

I have stayed here a number of times because of its excellent proximity to Vanderbilt. We have always been happy but this visit the linens seemed old… the comforter cover even had a rip in it! Very disappointing because I really do love the aesthetic of the rooms, lobby and friendly staff.

The hotel is amazing! The view from the room as beautiful. Restaurants close by and lots within walking distance. We were able to enjoy the amenities and restaurant as well, that was delicious. Every worker that we came in contact with was very pleasant and friendly. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Every single person we interacted with was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Very nice to our dog as well! The room was nice EXCEPT, it only had a single chair in it, so there was no place for 2 people to sit. The chair looked like an afterthought - maybe an old kitchen chair? didn't match the room at all. Bathroom was very nice. Modern, gleaming white, very clean, nice towels. Location was good. Close to several places to eat, bars, good places to walk the dog. Not a bad walk to Broadway action.

Overall, this hotel is very nicely done. I would likely stay there again, but only if a few things were addressed first. The condition of the mattresses and the pillows are long past needing to be replaced. I have stayed in dozens of 4-star and 5-star hotels on 3 different continents, and the bedding here simply does not match up. The linens themselves also leave a bit to be desired. The remainder of the hotel is very clean, well-designed, creative, luxurious and unique. However, the main purpose of a hotel, a place to sleep/rest while away from home, has not been kept up to the level of standard that I have come to expect from an IHG/Kimpton property.

An extremely beautiful hotel just a short walk from the university and a short drive from Broadway. Overall had a lovely time, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms did get a little stuffy at night, but the staff brought us a box fan and that helped keep our room cool the rest of the time we were there.

The hotel is in a great area with coffee and eateries in the hotel, and with in walking distance. The staff service was excellent, water at the entrance, always someone kind no matter the time. Very safe. And the room, WOW! We had a small balcony and loved opening and hearing the traffic below, although is not a very busy street. The bathrooms were my favorite, amazing decor, the windows had a really cool design. We loved our stay!

Hotel was great! Great location! Only negative is, we felt like they didn’t have enough staff at the front desk during check in time gentleman working at front desk was a bit frazzled but probably not his fault they just needed a little more staffing. I would highly recommend this hotel, though!

Overall, our stay at the Kimpton Aertson was great. The hotel's proximity to Broadway, good food, and other Nashville attractions was unbeatable! Very convenient! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our only struggle was with some of the hotel staff. We requested towels to be brought to the room one morning, and the towels never came. After multiple calls to the front desk while waiting to shower, they finally admitted it would take 2 hours to complete our request for 2 towels. In that same conversation, we also requested to have the room cleaned while we were gone. That message seemed to not make it to the housekeeping staff either. A little more transparency from the Front Desk staff would have been appreciated instead of telling us, "Yes" or "Ok" and then having nothing happen.

From the get go it wasn’t the best experience. The young man at the check-in counter tried to charge me for the room again after I already paid for it, and he did not really explain anything which left us with a few questions (When is checkout? Where can we get additional water? How to order breakfast? The basics.) The bedding had a quarter sized grey mark on it but other than that everything was pretty clean. There are two bottles of water in the room for $6 each, after that there are bottles in the lobby for an additional $9 each (seemed excessive to us).

First time to Nashville and we LOVED staying at the Kimpton. Hotel is beautiful, so good for those looking to stay a short drive 6-7 min drive from the actual strip. Would highly recommend for anyone that’s looking to stay away from the insane level of noise on the strip. Hotel still has plenty of great restaurants in walking distance, the noise level throughout our stay was so quiet and pleasant. Complimentary happy hour with beer, wine and cocktails from 5-6 everyday was also an awesome treat! Would love to stay again!

Was a nice property but not close to downtown to be able to walk, taxi $15 each way. Also trying to get a taxi is another story if you haven’t booked one. Must have been near an ambulance station as they were very noisy going back and forth.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here - great decor throughout, nice clean and bright room. The pool and Henley restaurant were amazing. About a 20-minute walk from downtown, we really enjoyed having a little distance, while being close to visit the Vanderbilt campus and Parthenon on foot.

This property is in a great location! Midtown is great for restaurants and nightlife. Quick walk to Vanderbilt campus. Centennial part and Parthenon close by providing nice run through the park. I would stay at this property again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Its cery clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Rachael at the front desk and Ellie at the bar stood out and halped make our stay memorable. We appreciated the decor throughoutvthe entire property. The food was excellent as well as the craft cocktails at the bar.

The property is nice, and the hotel common areas and rooms feel upscale. Like all hotels in Nashville, parking is completely ridiculous at $50/night. I did wish there were more amenities in the room. There isn’t much free/opem storage, especially in the bathroom. Lots pf wasted space in closet because of no shelving. There is absolutely no coffee service in the room, no tea kettle/hot water, no mini-bar snack options (small selection of beverages in room fridge) very limited for purchase in the lobby, and nowhere other than the co-located restaurant to get a decent coffee, and though the service was fantastic there, especially from the hostess on Sunday morning, there aren’t options for a quick pastry/snack other than ordering to go food.

Pool bar was subpar, machines not working, quality of food was poor. Gym- water dispenser, the water was warm not cold. No turn down service- we had our room cleaned once in 4 nights/5 days. Had to request towels. Only one robe in room.
