This is a great venue and the staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Where issues come up is where the venue tries to be a pub, live music venue and accommodation. I recently stayed over a weekend, and the staff were attentive and the room tidy. Where issues arose were around the sound levels of life bands, the time they finished and the noise of customers near the accommodation area. While the live music is a major drawcard, I feel that guests need to be told that this venue (given its location) is likely to host live bands until late in the night on weekends. I had flown over for a family wedding on the weekend, but due to the volume of music (and the guests upstairs who were having their own party), did not have a restful and comfortable sleep. Had I been made aware of this in advance, it is unlikely that I would have selected this accommodation option. In addition, guests who sat near the entrance to the beer garden were noisy, and the smell of smoke pervaded the room and surrounds. As I mentioned, the staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and tidy, but accommodation felt secondary to the main business (and maybe it is) given the cost. In hindsight I’m not sure that I would recommend this venue for guests needing to be rested and alert after a couple of very ordinary night’s sleep.

Staff at the hotel is amazing, really friendly and efficient. Food is delicious, compliments to the kitchen staff. Facilities for eating and relaxing are nice with mini golf and beautiful garden.

Great room but it was noisy due to the pub being so close so as long as you don't mind a great fun crowd! Parking very safe, well lit up. Food yummy, prices average. Bar staff AMAZING!! Restaurant staff average. Room cleaning staff - absolutely amazing and so lovely. Will def be back!

Bathroom floor tiles need a good scrub. Grout was really unsightly. Maybe the cleaner could be given extra time once a month for a proper clean.Room was spacious, furnishings were old,& marked. Baldly needs a paint & freshen up. Reception was excellent friendly helpful staff member checked us in. Didn't use dinning services so cant comment. Was quiet 😀

The carpet in the Bedroom could have been cleaner as there was dust and a bit of mess around the bed area. The room with the kitchenette/basin would have been perfect if there was a hand towel rail. Other than those small issues, we were content with the value. Our stay was comfortable & I would consider it again if I was in the area in the future. Thanks for having us!

Mick O'Shea's just felt like a tired hotel. The bed was clean and comfortable, as were the towels which covered most of my needs for an overnight business stay. The door lock was broken, the carpet had stains, and the bathroom floor and grout was dirty. Small things like the toilet roll holder hanging off the wall. Trying to shave with the mirror away from the basin was difficult. The shower leaked all over the floor needing the extra towels to soak it up. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The steak in the restaurant was delicious, if a little overpriced for a pub. But the pub did have a good atmosphere, even though it was quiet when I stayed there. Would I stay there again? I'd probably look at the other alternatives before I decided.

Customer service from the outset was great. Intially put into a room that had been smoked in. We were then upgraded to a spa room quickly with many apologies. The new room was nice but not so clean ( finding some hair from the previous stay around the sink and bathroom) place just looks a bit tired with stains etc around the place.

We recently stayed at this property and unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The overall appearance of the property feels quite outdated, with worn furnishings and a general sense of neglect in the decor. It could really use some updates to bring it up to a more modern standard. Additionally, the towels provided had a musty smell, which was unpleasant and made it hard to fully relax during my stay. We have stayed at your rooms 4 or 5 times and have always been very happy with the facilities. Our one complaint, which is only minor, is the poor design of the shower screens in that they let so much water out onto the floor. Also room 5 in which we stayed this time has quite a large gap in the door allowing a fair breeze through it. But we will be back next trip.

I had arranged an early check in,.of which I also arrived a further 15mins plus ahead of, only to have to beg for the key a third time so I could go get ready for a wedding we were attending. My son still had to wait a further 10mins for them to finalise it so it took a total 37mins to check in. They said they weren't going to charge the extra fee because of the muck around but then they still did. Upon my key return the next day I questioned it & got it refunded but still coped attitude from the guy. The room itself was quite nice, but again they need improvements to the 2nd room, it had a funny smell to it & at minimum needed a fan added to the room, preferably it needs its own aircon unit as it was very warm in there which only added to the smell. I don't treat myself to accommodation very often so for the price you pay these days the overall experience could have been way better.

The room was modern, clean and quite a bit bigger and cheaper than some I have stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful. I could not fault anything about the accommodation but, (and this may be just me being a bit out of touch) the prices for wine in the dining room were, to me, way too heavily marked up. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience.

Shower was dirty, had to pay an extra $20 for an early checkin (1/2 hour) wouldn't except cash because they said it was "too hard". On booking online was asked if I wanted to pay at hotel upon arrival and went for that option, but on arrival found it had already been paid for from my account. Meal was very expensive and terrible. Wouldn't go back there.

Good place to stay - Clean large rooms, convenient. I wouldn't eat the food at the pub again as it was not great and was a little pricey, but not an issue as long as you head-out.
