Absolutely beautiful room. (We stayed in the King). Lots of space and amazing location. Jacuzzi in the room was a bonus. Hotel need to explain how to turn off (just drain water) and not to worry about noise at end as it is just pipes clearing!

The hotel is in the beautiful port area, however it does not have views. It is in a pedestrian street, about a ten minute walk from the nearest road. So if you have luggage, you will have to walk at least 10 minutes from the closest vehicle drop off. On top of that, the property has huge stairs between each floor, no elevator. And no bellman or help. It was exhausting to take our luggage up to the second floor and there are three floors! Once you get to the room, it is a great size and very clean and comfortable. However, it is very frugal with amenities like coffee. They left only 2 K-pods and cleaning lady did not refill. When we asked coffee for next day, we were told they only provide for the first day. No toiletries either, we ran out of soap and I had to go and purchase. And the air conditioning never worked. We complained and it was not fixed. Seems they turn it off. This is not acceptable on a hotel that you paid a good amount of money to stay in and that advertises it has a/c. Breakfast was very good. In general, I found the hotel to not be a good value for what you pay for.

The bedroom was large and felt very comfortable with high ceilings, although we didnt have views of the water we had views of the cobble stone street which was pretty also. The windows are sensored so when you open them the air-conditioning turns off. I wouldnt recommend staying here if you plan on hiring a car as parking would be difficult or if you found it hard to walk as there is no lift access and getting bags up and down the stairs is difficult especially if you opt for the higher level. Staff were accommodating and friendly, one of them offered to assist in carrying one of our bags up the stairs.

Excellent stay with a wonderful view of the harbor. The breakfast is typical American & Mediterranean type. The terrace is good but the best view is from the balcony. Please be aware that there is no parking at the hotel and you must walk in from where the taxi drops you off… 100 yards.

Property was clean and accessible to old town Chania. It is a great location and the view of the harbor was wonderful. We were in the "Duke" room which was more spacious than the "Lord" room my son rented. There is no elevator at the property, You must climb stairs and if you rent a car there is no parking associated with the property. Street parking is crowded and limited

Great place to stay on the old town harbor front. Everything was great, and even though we arrived late, they came back to check us in. Hot showers, comfy bed, and a balcony to watch the people on the harbor. We would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay. There is no parking close, but a garage and street parking is a few blocks away.

Lovely room with the most incredible views from the balcony. Considering how loud and busy the harbour is the sound proofing muffled it well, but I’d still recommend ear plugs for sleeping. Breakfast is a short walk away and has a nice buffet with absolutely lovely staff. The front desk is a few doors up at the sister hotel, and again the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Housekeeping was superb, do remember to pop a sign on the door so they know you’re ready for the room to be serviced. Be warned that the stairs are wooden and lots of them given the age and nature of the building! So many amazing places to eat so very close by, and a little supermarket just round the corner. There’s noise in the morning when all the delivery vans arrive for the waterfront businesses, but not too early- you’ll be up anyway looking at the sun on the gorgeous harbour from the balcony!

We really enjoyed our stay in the suite at Elia Palatino. Reception is in a sister hotel a couple doors down and it is staffed 24 hours which was great. We were able to safely store our luggage until our room was ready, and we could pop in at any point to ask questions or get help with anything. The room itself was nicely appointed and the balcony views of the harbor were beautiful. My only complaint is that we went to use the wine glasses and discovered they were dirty and unwashed. We ended up using the water glasses instead.

Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable. Room was beautiful and very clean, stocked with all sorts of amenities. Breakfast buffet was in a beautiful location with vaulted ceilings and consisted of anything you may want for your meal. We definitely will stay with them again.

Definitely get the rooms with a balcony view of the harbour. It was lovely to sit there and take in the scene. Comfortable bed, good working AC and clean room. Also walkable to everything you want to see in town.

Our stay in Chania was the most memorable part of our two week trip to Greece and this hotel was part of that amazing experience! We had a clean, beautiful room with a port view in front and were able to step right into the alleys and excitement when we walked out the back. Breakfast was amazing and just a few short steps down a pretty alley from this hotel. Staff was all helpful and friendly. I would 100% recommend staying here! ♥️

Stayed at this hotel in late September on our return from a stay on the south coast. Great location overlooking the Venetian harbour in the old town. We booked a deluxe room with balcony and sea view, I feel we had one the smaller versions of this room grade (called Lord) after inspecting the photos on the hotel website. The room was a little jaded but the bed was large & comfortable, clearly the room has a high occupation rate and it shows. Given that it promotes itself as a 'boutique' hotel we found very few 'boutique' features - maybe the bathrobes help to qualify its 'boutique' status? Sadly 'boutique' is a very over-used and miss-used word these days, perhaps 'shabby chic' would be a more fitting description. The room had a small coffee machine but only 2 coffee pods and no milk or coffee whitener. The young man who checked us in provided a small jug of fresh milk and was apologetic about the amount of coffee pods supplied adding that it was company policy not to offer more than 2 and added that the hospitality tray would not be refreshed during our 2 day stay - not very 'boutique'! The bathroom desperately needs a refurbishment. Black grouting in the shower base suggests a poor cleaning regime along with mould in the toothbrush beaker, yuk! Towel rail fell apart when I put the towels on it!, is this 'boutique'? Reception desk was manned by staff whose attitudes ranged from not bothered to helpful.

The view was amazing and we had a large balcony. It was in the heart of old town and we had easy access to everything. Only thing negative was the wi-fi was slow but with the amazing view we did not mind. Breakfast was good. We would stay there again.

The hotel itself is so cute and the bed is SO comfortable. Our room was on the non-port side so it was quiet but I imagine it could be noisy if you have a waterfront view. No elevator but our room was on the first floor so that didn’t bother us! Luggage storage was convenient. Breakfast was supplied. We would stay again! The staff were friendly well. Location was great for access to the port. Insider tip: If you are going to use the bus station, keep in mind that it is hilly and you will be carrying luggage for about 10 mins up and down hills.

No elevator but our room was on the first floor so that didn’t bother us! Luggage storage was convenient. Breakfast was supplied. We would stay again! The staff were friendly well. Location was great for access to the port. Insider tip: If you are going to use the bus station, keep in mind that it is hilly and you will be carrying luggage for about 10 mins up and down hills.

Beautiful place and overlooking olde town harbor and restaurants. The room was the size of three rooms and had a large jacuzzi. The balcony was great to sit and people watch and watch the sunset. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Chania!

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the most ideal location for a first time traveler like myself. All of the staff were very nice and helpful throughout my stay! I had a one bedroom king suite (3rd floor, so yes there are some stairs!) with a private balcony overlooking the harbor. Absolutely stunning views! The town itself is very walkable and the Elia sits from and center directly on the Chania Harbor! If you were looking at this hotel, don’t second-guess it and just book it you won’t regret it!

We really enjoyed our stay in the suite at Elia Palatino. Reception is in a sister hotel a couple doors down and it is staffed 24 hours which was great. We were able to safely store our luggage until our room was ready, and we could pop in at any point to ask questions or get help with anything. The room itself was nicely appointed and the balcony views of the harbor were beautiful. My only complaint is that we went to use the wine glasses and discovered they were dirty and unwashed. We ended up using the water glasses instead.

Stayed at this hotel in late September on our return from a stay on the south coast. Great location overlooking the Venetian harbour in the old town. We booked a deluxe room with balcony and sea view, I feel we had one the smaller versions of this room grade (called Lord) after inspecting the photos on the hotel website. The room was a little jaded but the bed was large & comfortable, clearly the room has a high occupation rate and it shows. Given that it promotes itself as a 'boutique' hotel we found very few 'boutique' features - maybe the bathrobes help to qualify its 'boutique' status? The room had a small coffee machine but only 2 coffee pods and no milk or coffee whitener. The young man who checked us in provided a small jug of fresh milk and was apologetic about the amount of coffee pods supplied adding that it was company policy not to offer more than 2 and added that the hospitality tray would not be refreshed during our 2 day stay - not very 'boutique'! The bathroom desperately needs a refurbishment. Black grouting in the shower base suggests a poor cleaning regime along with mould in the toothbrush beaker, yuk! You couldn’t ask for a nicer room with a balcony overlooking the Venetian Harbor. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help us get taxis and a rental car. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and was a nice way to start everyday.

Our stay in Chania was the most memorable part of our two week trip to Greece and this hotel was part of that amazing experience! We had a clean, beautiful room with a port view in front and were able to step right into the alleys and excitement when we walked out the back. Breakfast was amazing and just a few short steps down a pretty alley from this hotel. Staff was all helpful and friendly. I would 100% recommend staying here! ♥️

Hotel didn't fulfil our request for the arrangements of the beds even though we asked for well in advance. And they didn't communicate about this. They also didnt do anything to compensate this. The hotel personel was kind and helpful. But the hotel management was just ignorant.

Great place to stay on the old town harbor front. Everything was great, and even though we arrived late, they came back to check us in. Hot showers, comfy bed, and a balcony to watch the people on the harbor. We would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay. There is no parking close, but a garage and street parking is a few blocks away.

The hotel itself is so cute and the bed is SO comfortable. Our room was on the non-port side so it was quiet but I imagine it could be noisy if you have a waterfront view. Couldn’t ask for a better location. I loved everything about my stay! The view and proximity to history, cute shops, and great food are top notch. Breakfast was good and the service was very kind. Helpful front desk staff. Because the location is so central you can pop in and out of the room between activities, meals, or to drop off shopping bags. It never felt out of the way to pop back and rest on the balcony for a few minutes or use the restroom. If you’re a light sleeper just fyi you can hear the restaurants around the bay at night (particularly if there’s a football game on) but trust me the view is worth a bit of noise! Don’t hesitate to book here, just don’t go expecting silence :)

We had a wonderful stay. The room was incredible! We did splash out for the sea view jacuzzi tub suite, and very glad we did so. Such a convenient location for good shopping, great restaurants, and seeing the older side of Chania. Really enjoyed the options at breakfast and learning all the local pastries and tears. Would absolutely stay again.

Lovely room with the most incredible views from the balcony. Considering how loud and busy the harbour is the sound proofing muffled it well, but I’d still recommend ear plugs for sleeping. Breakfast is a short walk away and has a nice buffet with absolutely lovely staff. The front desk is a few doors up at the sister hotel, and again the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Housekeeping was superb, do remember to pop a sign on the door so they know you’re ready for the room to be serviced. Be warned that the stairs are wooden and lots of them given the age and nature of the building! So many amazing places to eat so very close by, and a little supermarket just round the corner. There’s noise in the morning when all the delivery vans arrive for the waterfront businesses, but not too early- you’ll be up anyway looking at the sun on the gorgeous harbour from the balcony!

Was an amazing view from our room which was called Lord! Up over 20 steps though! The weather was not the best, so we couldn’t really sit on the balcony.

A beautiful hotel in a great location. We had to walk 5 mins from where the car could drop us off along cobbles streets so pack lighter. Unfortunately our flight was quite delayed so we arrived in the early hours of the morning and were not able to enjoy the room long. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious.

Excellent hotel, terrific staff. Warm welcome from the reception staff and at the breakfast restaurant - lovely people. Room was perfect - nice balcony - right on the harbor. You are in the heart of the action!
