The room met our needs for a place to sleep after a show at one of the nearby casinos. It was neat, but not 100% clean. The exterior walkway is in desperate need of repair as the concrete walkways for the second floor are crumbling. Someone needs to tell the front desk that COVID is over instead of greeting and processing guests through a teller's window designed for after-hours use. Not sure I would stay here again. It is convenient off of I-95 and we did not hear road noise as we were on the back side of the building. There is a Starbucks on the opposite side of the street from the property. If you do stay and want a good place for breakfast, we recommend the When Pigs Fly Cafe.

Very overpowering smell of incense throughout the hotel. Did not appear to be an elevator to 2nd floor. Stairs were very dirty. Mattress was uncomfortable and we were only given 2 very skinny pillows. Comforter was torn and sewn poorly. Batteries in tv remote were dead. There was only a side table on one side of the bed. Nobody was present to check us out at 8am. We rang for assistance and waited almost 10 minutes.

The front lobby was rather scary looking rather than inviting. There was no elevator. The room was clean but we had to air it out before we could stay in there because the cleaning solution smelled way too strong. The refrigerator was very noisy most of the night. The mattress was old. The key reader didn't want to work, but the front desk attendant came up the stairs to help us get in our room, which was nice. For the price we paid, I was disappointed. We were in Mystic which has a lot of tourists, so I guess they can charge a lot even if it is not a top rate hotel. We had a clean room, a bed, a fridge and a roof over our heads, so that is something to be thankful for.

The location seems like isolated but it is actually close to restaurants and we went to Niantic Boardwalk which was only few mins drive. They got lot of parking space. But not so happy with the room, small space, very basic no fridge/microwave, no chair, no bath toiletries, no hair dryer - some 2 star inns have these amenities and for even cheaper price. In fairness the room was pretty clean except for toilet bowl which had some grimes in the inner reams that were noticeable, sink was old and wearing off that made it looked like a bit gross. Towels are not absorbent. But the bed was comfortable for us, wished they had 4 pillows, we only got 2. If you only need a place to sleep over the night then it is good enough, place was quiet - didn’t hear any noise from outside.

I have stayed at this particular motel 6 numinous times over the last 20 years have not in the last 2. It is under new management and i was extremely disappointed. First I got there and they messed up my room reservation I had a double bedroom they gave me a single for my fiancé, myself and my daughter whom is (19) so we had to share a bed, they were “sold out” even tho my reservation showed the 2

Not very clean, comforter had very visible and many holes in it. Time for that to get thrown out. Smells strongly of smoke even if non smoking room. Key card stopped working twice in one day. Staff is friendly but this place needs remodeled and kept clean.

Disgusting. The first room smelled like cigarettes, there was hair on the bed, and the toilet was literally dirty with dried urine all over it. I called the front desk, and they gave me another room that had vomit in the bathroom sink and the same disgusting smell, which seemed to be coming from the AC unit.

This motel was the most disgusting place I ever been too. First night I worked an event until late and didnt pay any attention to the room. I literally came in and threw myself on the bed. I never sleep under any bedding when I stay somewhere. Second night when i went to take a shower after the show I realize the shower was completely dirty which made me start to really look at the motel. Needless to say i slept in my car. I found cigarette holes in not only the bedding but also the beds. When we lifted the mattress we found a used condom! I literally threw up and ran out the room right after. I am actually going to be contacting the health department because we found blood and god knows what else all over the beds and walls. Absolutely horrible place!

Toilet and shower were clean. Everything thing else had not been cleaned. Beds were also uncomfortable. Was not able to find a towel without blood stains, even after going to front desk and asking for new ones. Outside the motel was also quite dirty and saw a dead rat.

OMG, don't stay here! I booked this room for 2 employees based on a good rating for an inexpensive hotel. They called me as soon as they went into the room. It reeked, there were blood stains on the sheets, the tub was disgusting, the water ran brown from the faucet. In addition, it was booked for 2 beds for 2 people but the hotel only provided one set of towels in the room. When one of my employees went to the office to ask for more, she was given a WET set and told they just came out of the wash had no dry ones. They tried to find another room, but being Sat night, everything else was booked or incredibly expensive. The room was so gross, they stripped the beds to look for bedbugs before they ever put anything on them or got into them. Absolutely awful!

Place is in a good location but not in the best condition. First room they gave us had burnt and dirty bathtub, the molding on floor was peeling off, there was crumbs and hair on the bed. It was clearly not cleaned. There’s was grime on the tv controller and it smelled mildewy and like cigarettes.The sheets are old and stained and to tell you the truth, I didn’t feel safe as we were in the back side of the motel and it seems like they rent them out as weekly rentals like, people live there. That being said, I rang the front desk and he got me another room. This one however did not have a microwave and fridge but was much cleaner that the prior. Room key didn’t work though. But he was kind and didn’t hesitate in moving us to another room. Would I stay here ever again? Absolutely not. But I guys if you need a room for the night as an emergency, it ain’t the worst!

For a one night stay it was OK. It is a budget hotel and it reflects it. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The bathroom was dated and towels thin. If you needed to stay more than one night, there are plenty of options in the area.

It's a budget hotel so I don't have really high standards and it was fine for what it was. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but it wasn't terrible. The air conditioner worked fine and nice hot water in the shower two very important things for me. It is weird to see a little tiny 27 inch TV I think that's what it was but with the current size of TVs it was like almost laughable how tiny it was. Front desk clerk was very nice.

Bed was very old. Springs popping through mattress. Probably worst thing I have ever slept on. Tv remote batteries dead. Heat did not work. I dont mind cheap motels cause im not fussy. But this was pretty bad.

The room had an oder in it, even though it was clean. The smell was strong enough that it made the clean bedding smell as well. We could hear everyone outside and the beds were very uncomfortable. Both my kid and I woke up hurting because of how lumpy the bed was. The staff was nice during check in.

Disregard for maintenance - flashing bathroom light, needed to be changed. Sink faucet sprayed water, got wet every time you turned it on... condition of sink, very old. Simple maintenance issues that could or should've been reported, how could housekeeping not notice the issues. The room was supposed to be non-smoking and reeked of cigarette smoke. Sinus headache all night. disappointing and didn't meet the reviews we read prior to booking this room.

Our heating unit sounded like a helicopter after awhile. It was late and we weren’t going to deal with changing rooms at 12:30 am. The bathroom needs some TLC. The tub has definitely seen better days. The vanity top had been painted at some point and is peeling. The bed was also well. I also couldn’t pull my reservation off of Expedia and panicked Friday night until I confirmed that I had a reservation for Saturday night.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Manager Sue was great. We had a problem with our room air conditioning. Steve came and fixed it right. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Convenient location to shopping and Mohegan Sun casino! These two employees were very helpful in our vacation!

Upon check out, the clerk was asleep at the counter. Upon check in, there were several parties checking in - I needed to use the restroom, and was told I had to wait until I could be checked in to use the bathroom in my room. After check in, I was given directions to my room, and when I asked the clerk to repeat herself because I didn’t quite get it, she repeated herself with impatience and abrupt hand gestures.

As we well know, Motel 6 is a value brand. This property is commensurate with what you’d anticipate. We needed to overnight in this area at a pet friendly motel/hotel. This property met our requirements for a good price. Unfortunately, after we had loaded everything (and the cat) into our room, we found that the A/C’s fan did not function. This our third time staying at this Motel 6. The proximity to the Coast Guard Academy and Connecticut College makes this a great choice. The rooms are clean, but it is a no-frill experience. We book here when we know we are getting in late and only need to sleep one night and go. For the price, it serves its purpose.

Though older the property is well maintained, felt very safe and for the price was great. We were just stopping for the night so we were only there to sleep but would stay again if in the area. For a one night stay it was OK. It is a budget hotel and it reflects it. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The bathroom was dated and towels thin. If you needed to stay more than one night, there are plenty of options in the area.

The room met our needs for a place to sleep after a show at one of the nearby casinos. It was neat, but not 100% clean. The exterior walkway is in desperate need of repair as the concrete walkways for the second floor are crumbling. Someone needs to tell the front desk that COVID is over instead of greeting and processing guests through a teller's window designed for after-hours use. Not sure I would stay here again. It is convenient off of I-95 and we did not hear road noise as we were on the back side of the building. There is a Starbucks on the opposite side of the street from the property. If you do stay and want a good place for breakfast, we recommend the When Pigs Fly Cafe.

The room had an overwhelming smell of perfumery flowers from the cleaning supplies. The a/c heater didn't work only to blow air and no heat. When I complained, my room was switched and I was given extra blankets. I was satisfied with the switch and had a good night's sleep. There was only coffee in the lobby in the AM. Only powdered creamer was served. not good.

The room was bare bones - no end table on one side of the bed or outlet. Curtains very wrinkled, bedspread very worn with holes. It would have been nice if the person at the check in would have told us that there was a coffee pot in the Lobby in the morning - cause there is no coffee or even water in the room. Disappointing!

There was no shampoo, conditioner or tissues. They had one soap. There was no refrigerator or an ice container it was a bucket. The room was very clean. The front desk man was friendly but when I was leaving I waited over 15 minutes for a lady to help the person in front of me with a difficult issue. Instead of saying let me take your key and let me go she waited until there was 7/8 of the guests behind me and still said nothing. I eventually just left. I personally would not stay here again. The TV was very small

I have never said anything about a hotel I have stayed in prior to this experience. Check in was smooth once we arrived in the room we saw burn holes in the bed cover (non smoking room). Our stay was three nights garbage was not emptied , towels were not replaced , at all during our stay. Pet friendly motel but in the room next to us there was a dog barking literally all through the night making it impossible to get a good nights sleep
