Pictures did not tell the whole story. Only positives were the view of the river and the restaurant was decent. House keeping was not provided and no phone is room to request. Outdoor pool was across the street. But indoor pool, sauna and hot tub were decent as well.

The pool and hot tub were nice. The elevator was broken our whole stay. Carrying luggage up two flights of stairs with no hotel help is bad business. Internet kept going out making me working from the hotel impossible. Soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers were broken in shower.

The hotel room was adequate but not what I would expect from a "boutique" hotel. It was clean and comfortable, just not impressive. The restaurant food was very good, and the staff were polite and friendly. I did some laundry and the dryer was not working. They offered me some quarters to take my clothes to another property and dry them, but I did not want to run around town with wet clothes so I had to drape them over my luggage and put them next to the room heater. The receptionist said the dryer has been an ongoing issue. Management needs to bite the bullet and replace equipment that doesn\'t work. Other than the wet clothes we had no real problems, it just seemed like the room could use a refresh.

This place was fine and did the job. We had two rooms for spring break week. We didn’t realize that the restaurant wouldn’t offer breakfast and lunch in the off season. Also the hotel images showed game rooms from their other facilities. Not deal breakers but these amenities were part of why we chose the hotel. The rooms are quite run down but clean. The pool and sauna and hot tub were nice.

Lights are weak in the entire path and room. The elevator is very dark and old. There is no phone in the room to call reception and request services. The toilet seat is too small for adults. The balcony is dirty, has spider webs everywhere and no one seems to clean it. It was a bad experience and I will never go back to that place

An older property with some nice renovations. Loved the bed, very comfy. Loved the shower, lots of hot water, high shower head, good pressure, the new shower wall mounted bottles of soap stuff. Other stuff not so much. Not enough electrical plugs. Windows were filthy. Only one slow elevator.

The elevator was broken, yet we were assigned a room on the 5th floor without any prior notice. If we had known in advance, especially for anyone with special conditions (e.g., pregnancy), we would have booked another hotel. When we raised concerns, the staff simply said they didn’t know when it would be fixed, and it remained out of service for the two days of our stay. Their solution was to move us to the 4th floor and offer $50 off (as we insisted for compensation), which was far from adequate compensation for the inconvenience. The problems didn’t stop there. The internet speed was extremely poor, housekeeping never cleaned the room during our stay, and the sheets and pillows had an unpleasant smell. The hotel also lacks a proper lobby area to sit and relax. Overall, the service and facilities were highly disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The river view units with a balcony were exceptional. They were private with a breath taking view of the upper dells. Tour boats start next door so there is some traffic on the river. The hotel is older but up dated. However the hot cold water was a real problem. It was either scalding hot or at best luke warm. No cold water. They have a bar and restaurant on site, with lovely decks. The elevator floor looks awful and could easily be repaired. This is a mixed review as the location is wonderful, but the building functions could be improved! Is having hot or cold water too much to ask?

Great view. The only thing I didn’t like was that the toilet seat was disgusting in our room. There was marks all over the toilet seat. There was black spots inside the toilet, like it just hasn’t been cleaned in months. Good thing I always take cleaning supplies anytime I travel. I would hope with them seeing the toilet seat like this they would replace it but no, they just kept doing what they’re doing. And that was not cleaning it. Sorry, cleanest is a big one for me but other wise OK hotel. Room was on the third floor I think 324

This is NOT a Boutique Hotel. We arrived at our room with windows covered in spiderwebs and bird feathers. Room was clean but furniture was mismatched. No walk-in shower. Extremely small vanity. Not enough electric outlets. This is an old hotel with a new coat of paint. Pigeon nest with baby birds on our patio slider door was not acceptable. Food service was good at the outdoor. patio. Not enough handicap parking. The beautiful views were hindered greatly bc of dirty windows inside and at end of hallway.

Positives: The front desk and bar staff were very kind and helpful. The view from our room was pretty. Negatives: We had a ”suite” in the main hotel with three queen beds, two were in one room that overlooked the river and the single queen was in a room that faced the parking lot. The room was not well cleaned. There was a brown smudge on the wall, the outside of the windows were full of cobwebs and dirty. My nightstand had a marble top and it was clear they did not clean it because there was a brown sticky substance all over it. The window in the smaller room had no screen, (safety hazard) and I swear there had to have been a hole in the wall because I could hear everything outside. I checked the window to make sure it was closed too. At 3AM we were awoken by drunken people in the room next to us. We had to call the front desk because the music they were blaring was so loud. Also, the walls between rooms must have no insulation. We could hear “everything”. It’s unfortunate because this is such a great location and could have a lot of potential.

We liked how close the hotel was to the downtown. Nice view of the river. Our stay was during early spring so we didn't get to enjoy any of the tickets to Natura or the outdoor part of the bar/restaurant but it seems like a good amenities. My only complaint was the paper thin walls. I could hear every single step, cough, and sneeze the people around us did. We got a room right next to the stairs and could hear anytime someone ran up and down the stairs.

The views from our river view room were gorgeous. The hotel has been updated but definitely still needs some TLC in other areas. Our room did not have a deadbolt and the door didnt close properly unless it was pushed or pulled shut. Bathroom was tiny but beds and pillows were very comfortable! Hot tub temperature was good. Parking on the river side of the street is very limited. Lot across the street is poorly lit and traffic flies by as you try to safely cross the street.

We had a balcony view room overlooking the river and it was excellent! Room was clean, beds very comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The elevator wasn’t working. The vending machine we used wasn’t working. Overall for the money we would go back again! The problems were annoying but small.

The rooms are very small, the carpet is gross and there must be no sound proofing. We could hear everything in the room next to us from the minute we checked in. We could hear word for word what they were saying. The restaurant onsite had a very limited menu. The view is beautiful, you can't beat being right on the water - that was our only plus.

Absolutely amazing experience, staff were able to accommodate an early check in due to us getting into town earlier than expected. Any questions or requests, they helped with a smile. Loved the amenities available at this location and the other natura resorts (same network as vue, and free to access with our reservation) would absolutely return!

We had trouble understanding the front desk, the young lady seemed unsure of herself and the gentleman just basically let her faulter a bit before helping slightly. We have stayed a couple of times before and fell in love with the place however after this last visit we are not in a huge hurry to come back. Perhaps this was an unfortunate off day foe the front desk. I'm sure someday we will be back.

The Vue is not a good place to stay. The check in process is coercive, requiring all members of one's party to sign waivers on their phones and show proof to the clerk before check in. (This AFTER the non-refundable down payment). Then with the check in, guests are made to scroll through and agree to line after line of rules and penalties. Guests are forced to wear wrist band keys, threatened with eviction if they are found without them. Long lists of rules are posted everywhere, even above the single ice machine. It is clear that guests are barely tolerated. The room was old. The door to the tiny bathroom does not lock. There was an ironing board jammed into the bathroom. The fan in the bathroom was loud, and didn't seem at all effective. The water temperature was VERY DIFFICULT to regulate and slow to respond. I don't believe larger sized guests could use the toilet very easily. The bathroom is that small. The pool was cold and there were moths and dirt in the pool shower room. The pool towels would work as 150 grit sand paper. The windows in the pool room were stained. The signage in that room was dirty. I saw a lot of chipped paint on exterior surfaces. All together, I regret staying at this old, poorly maintained, unfriendly property and will not recommend that anyone else do so.

Terrible stay. Not what website portrays. Not a boutique hotel. Comfortable bed and good view from balcony river view room. That was it. No maid service, which was fine however, they wanted us to take all of our dirty towels to the front desk and exchange them for clean ones. Just wow! For the price I paid so unacceptable. Price went down since I had booked and they would not adjust. Offered points but not equivalent of price decrease and does me no good. Will not use hotel.com again. Furniture and hotel all out dated and too big and crowded for room size. First night very quiet. Second night not so much. Bunch of drunk inconsiderate people up and down hallway and in and out of rooms. After calling front desk with own phone, since the room did not have one, and talking to them myself did nothing, it was better. Also had free tickets to Timbavati but I had to go back down to desk to inquire, they did not offer on own at check in

While the hotel's location was convenient, I unfortunately had several negative experiences impacting my overall satisfaction. Specifically, I encountered unfriendly and unhelpful service from multiple staff members. The restaurant staff at the boathouse provided poor service, and employees at the hotel itself were similarly unhelpful when I sought assistance. This was particularly disappointing. It's important to note, however, that one staff member, Manuely, who cleaned our room, provided exceptional service and the water bouncy place were the highlight of our stay. This underscores the inconsistency in service quality. Furthermore, I experienced two incredibly concerning incidents involving racial comments – one from a male Starbucks/bartender and another from a female staff member collecting linens. These comments were completely unacceptable and created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. I hope you will investigate these matters and take appropriate action to address the issues with staff training and behavior. Improving customer service and ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests should be a top priority. I believe this feedback is crucial for enhancing the guest experience at your property.

Front desk staff slow and didn't go out of their way to be friendly or accommodating. Other housekeeping staff and restaurant staff were friendly. Room was okay but bed was hard as a rock. Window looking to the water from room were filthy. All of the windows we saw at the hotel were dirty. It's too bad as the location is great.

The check-in process is excessive. The idea that i am required to scan a qr code to verify the occupants of the room is not very customer friendly. When I told the clerk my phone was not charged she didn't offer a real solution. She said borrow one from a friend. If everyone read the many screens that you have to confirm to get your key it would take about 30 minutes to check in. The room service was good. But overall the lengths the hotel goes through to protect the hotel, pool and parking lot are way out of line for quality of the property.

I was rather surprised by the overall attitude of the staff. I felt like a burden and not a guest. I was handed rules and told all the things not to do. I asked about coffee the first morning and was told we don’t do continental breakfast and Starbucks will open at 730. Over all I will skip this place and stay somewhere else from now on.

Loved the restaurant and Starbucks also. I can honestly say it was the best starbucks drink I have ever had so I'm not sure what they did different, but it was so good! The restaurant was also worth every penny. Reasonable and our waiter couldn't have been any better. He was great & everything about the visit was outstanding!!

I love the waterfront view and dinning option with piers. I didn't like that there is no restroom near the outdoor pool... you literally have to walk across the street and use the lobby restroom. The restaurant is great but the staff is slow and like to hide in the kitchen and talk vs being on their A game for guests.The bathrooms in the rooms are far too small and difficult to use. Enjoyed waking up to the balcony overlooking the water.
