MT. OLYMPUS WATER PARK AND THEME PARK RESORT

The property was nothing like expected or shown on the pictures. The indoor pool was down the street, not at the resort like it stated. The floors were dirty. The water park and theme park were also down the street and not where we were staying, as promised. We could not ask for towels or toilet paper because there was no one to ask. No desk clerk or anything! Just wild. If we come again we will stay at a different place and not one owned by the Dells. Really disappointed considering it was $1200 for 3 nights and we had to use the restroom in the basement because there was only one small restroom in our room for all 7 of us.

I liked knowing that rain or shine, we were going to have fun. I didn't like having to drive from room to water/theme parks. Shuttle would be nice.

Careful when staying in building 29 for Mt Olympus resorts this building has the bare minimum for your stay. Has no indoor pool, no iron, no couch, very small sink, small bathroom can barely close the door when you go in worst of all is it has small roaches

Small toilets and the building was far away from the resort. Half the indoor swimming was closed down also.

I really dislike that these hotels don’t have their own pool area so you could get away from the crowd of the park and go back to your hotel and relax in the pool

Should Really have shuttle service from hotels since they are not near the actual parks.

I like that it's walkable

No amenities in the actual hotels. So you are limited to just the water and theme parks business hours. Rooms are very basic, not updated. Shuttles to the park would be convenient as well.

The property was very close to the park within walking distance. Very clean and pleasant

Room was decent but shower sprayed over the top of the shower curtain when you turned it on. Called for them to come fix it and my husband stayed behind to wait for them, but we they never showed up. Called first thing in the am and maintenance man was there in 5 mins, had it fixed in 10. Warm pool was decent, adults only hot tub was so hot felt really good after a lo n g day, and there was one not so hot one for ki. Lazy river was fun and the kids enjoyed the waterslides a bunch. Food options by the pool are a little high so if you have a crowd, bring a meat and cheese tray and a fruit tray from the grocery store. The big waterslide and largest pool were blocked off our entire stay which was a bummer. Indoor theme park was actually pretty entertaining. They had a ton of claw games, arcade games, some rides geared towards young kids but plenty of options for older kids. There is another arcade at the entrance to the indoor stuff that takes the same token card. Games didnt take many tokens, prize point amounts allowed to get a couple prizes that made them happy. All in all a pretty good experience. Price for room was excellent and allowed plenty of money for other activities. If you have kids of any ages, stop at the Deer Park at the end of your trip. You will not be disappointed! Definitely the best place in the dells if your on a budget, triple the amenities in the summer months too. Outdoor stuff looked awesome, we just visited when it was closed for the season.

Beds were comfortable, staff seemed nice, didn't really deal with them during our stay. Found that our bathroom tub still had pieces of hair in it and it was clogged with tons of hair. Smells like Marijuana and walls are paper thin. Delt with overnight of someone a airhorn going off. Waking my kids up.

Room was dirty, and bedding had stains. The park itself was great

The floors were dirty, there was an unopened pad under the bunk beds, the air conditioner blew right on my children, smelled horrible, like mold almost. Overall I will not stay there again.

Room was not cleaned and bugs all in bathroom

The sink didn't drain. The shower/tub didn't drain. There was a cockroach crawling on the sink in the morning. Doors and walls were super thin so we could hear everything from the other patrons.

Nice staff at check-in. Fast check-in service. The room was small, bare bone minimum. Very dirty! No hand towels only wash cloths and large towel, no bath mat. Off site at a very dark older building.

The AC didn't work at all in our room, the bed had alot of stains on the cover, and the room smelled like old rotten garbage, there were also sticky stains all over the floor near the desk.

The Motel room itself was gross. The beds were made and the floor was swept, but there were spiders and spiderwebs on the ceilings and walls. There must have been a water leak because the ceiling had tiles that were discolored, and replaced with mismatched tiles. The "covering" for the plumbing falls out on the living quarters side and could be dangerous for small children. Defintely disappointed especially for the price I paid.

Rooms were dirty. Hair in shower, floor and counter tops when we arrived. Sheets and mattress cover had stains. Water park and adventure park was pretty good experience. Rooms were suboptimal

This hotel was OK for the price. Feels very old. Don't stay here for comfort, but for the location and the great price with the park tickets included. Beds were not comfortable and the bunk beds are for very small children. I would not get a bunk bed room for any child over the age of 8-10.

This was not at all what we were expecting. The rooms had no closets, or hangers, there were no coffee pots, cups, or toiletries. Our bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. The building we were in was run down and not even located near the water park portion. This was not advertised as being spread across miles and that it was more like a hostel than a motel and definitely not a resort

Bed was horrible could feel the springs, not enough blankets on the bed, room was not very clean, and super noisy. Did not sleep well due to all the noise in and out of the building and people walking around at 4am As much money as is paid they need to make the hotel nicer. There was a 2 inch gap in between the bottom of the door and the floor

The grandkids complained the internet was slow and patchy, but it seemed ok to me.

Check in was smooth - Happiness (the lady who checked us in) was very friendly We were in building one room 10126. The room was nice but it was very close to the arcade so you could hear the music all night. Next time I would definitely ask for a different room.

Mattresses could use an upgrade.

Hotel rooms, especially the bathrooms are small. Good deal if you are going to the theme park, but the rooms are just ok.

Bathroom area was very small. No counter area. Bedding was horrible! Thin blanket/spread was super scratchy. Bring your own blanket. Check-in is about 2 miles away from your hotel room (yes you do have to drive). Entrance smelled of marijuana (this was a constant smell, not a one time smell). TV is small, but that didn't bother us.

The WiFi did not work whatsoever. We called the front desk twice and was told they would put us on a "list" and it was never fixed. Our room looked NOTHING like the photos online. We were quite disappointed. Also the walls are extremely thin.

We stayed for one night as part of a longer trip. Hotel was fine, room was clean. Very basic, counter is basically 2x4s with a plywood top, so it functions but does not look very pleasing. The door didn't automatically close, so we had to make sure it was latched. Also, the handle was difficult, you had to pull up as opposed to the normal push down to open the door. Also, when you arrive at night, it would be extremely helpful if the building signs were illuminated. With over 30 buildings and all of the signs looking the same, you sometimes are right at the entrance to the parking lot before you can make out what building it is. There is little to no street lights along most of that road, adding to the difficulty to read any signs.

Our check in process was horrible. We were told there was no chance for getting into our room early, which is fine but there is usually always a chance. I was told I would receive a text when our room. Was ready with our room number. Check in was at 4. 4:20 came and went without a text. I called customer service and found out our room has been ready without a text notification. She said she'd send me an email with my reservation information...still no text and no room number. I had to call customer service again to get our room number. Very frustrating and irritated. Finally got our room info at about 4:40.

What I did like is the accommodation to a closer room to the water park due to disability as I thought I was staying in the hotel at the water park but instead found out I was staying in lot 25. I was able to get in lot 3 but it was not worth the money paid for two nights. The floor in the room was filthy and not swept no coffee pot and bed was uncomfortable. We barely slept due to the parties outside our room with loud music and screaming noises. The beds weren't as comfortable either and lost money in the vending machine for sodas for all of us which was an inconvenience and then I had to go to the gas station. Had I known I would have changed the reservation all together and not paid what I paid.

When checking in there were 4 staff at two different registers, helping customers and about 8 others wandering around, goofing off with each other and on their phones while the wait line kept growing. The wait was 20+ min at least to just get checked in, on a Thursday evening. Second, the room we were put in was mediocre at best, but manageable. We ended up having an any issue so we requested a move. They moved us to a silightly bigger room down the road, in another building. However we felt like we were moved into the ghetto. Fights were breaking out every night, cops were called, people yelling and screaming in the hall way and out in the parking lot with no consideration given to others. Banging on walls at all hours of the night. Mt. Olympus staff was there and did nothing. I will not be renting there again... just an overall bad experience.

I love how friendly the front desk was! That truly made my stay! Also the parks included in the stay is AMAZING saved so much hassle!

Mt Olympus Resort has several old hotels/apartment buildings that they have taken over to house their guests. I reserved 3 rooms for my family MONTHS before our stay and upon check-in they wanted to put us in 3 different buildings, up to a mile apart from each other!!! They finally got us all in the same (HORRIBLE) building which was the furthest one from the park, over a mile away. This building was an old, rundown hotel and these rooms had NO dressers or closets!! Mind you we were there for 3 nights at over $300 per night per room!! They also did not offer housekeeping service so we had to call for towels daily. The front desk at this building was not occupied, ever. Of all 25 buildings that Olympus uses, only ONE had a swimming pool, and that was over 2 miles away. None of their buildings had a restaurant or lounge either. I would NOT recommend ANYONE to stay at this resort!!! I travel for a living and have been in hotels all over the US and all over the world. This, BY FAR is right at the top of the list for the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had!!

Website shows amazing pictures, reality wasn’t the same. Many rides were closed especially indoors too. Staff overall wasn’t in good mood to help. Check in staff didn’t clarify where the guest should be heading for activities instead hand out a map. That map definitely got me lost many times. No housekeeping for number of days, we just kept the room clean by ourselves

Very dirty and noisy at night. When requesting extra blankets and towels, i needed to call twice each time because they never sent anyone. We rented a cabana and had terrible service, causing us to go and get our food ourselves. Very dissapointing trip!

I didn’t get towels and when I called they said the they will get them for me and an hr after no body showed up I kept calling the front desk and they just didn’t answer me I had to go find someone from housekeeping all the way to the 3rd floor we just needed towels and a trash bag

Our family loves coming to Mt Olympus resort. The parks have lots of options for rides and slides. Plus, I personally do not know any other resort in the WI Dells that has both water and theme parks. However, hotels are simple, and the check-in is outside of the resort, quite a few miles away, which I don't find very convenient. Though, it is all worth the fun at the end!

We broke down on the road and booked a hotel room. This was not the place to do that. You check in at one building and drive 6 minutes to your hotel room. No shuttle. Very inconvenient when we don’t have a vehicle. No disclaimer on travelocity.

Great price for the family and close to many shops and restaurants!

We were located in a building outside The resort itself, we had to walk 3/4 of a mile to get to the waterpark. There were not any types of shuttles, but it was a nice walk. This review is only for the off resort location.

Hotel room was a basic hotel. Microwave, mini fridge, tv, WiFi, etc. I didn’t realize we were so far away from the water park which was my mistake. Hotels.com didn’t mention it when I booked it was further away vs on mt. Olympus it says how far away you are. Overall decent experience.

Hotel buildings scattered everywhere up and down the main road, no idea which building your room could be located at in outdated and way over priced rooms.

The kids had a lot of fun at the water park and the amusement park! Wish the hours were longer :) the water park closes at 7pm and amusement park closes at 9pm.

The Mt. Olympus park was great. Our family enjoyed it. Getting the free tickets and parking was a huge perk. There were a few things we missed in the motel such as no coffee available or tissues. It's the first place we have stayed at that didn't have complimentary coffee in the lobby or a coffee maker in the room. The motel gets a rating of 3, but the park deserves a 5.

The water theme park it’s great big clean and beautiful the staff are friendly but not professional especially the staff works in the food court areas expect to wait for the slice of pizza for over half an hour and the food is horrible in there..

I liked how everything is close to the hotel and easy accessible. But the one thing I didn’t like was that after paying for everything the hotel doesn’t serve free breakfast. But other than that everything was fine.

Beds were very hard and didn’t sleep much, from this and how loud even after quiet time. Food places closed too early in the parks. Having to drive was inconvenient and stressful f I had been given the option to choose the Rome hotel for walking to amusement and water park that would have been great. Was surprised to not see water refillable stations.

Was much better than I expected reading previous reviews. Room was big and cleanish. Bad thing no where to dry swimwear. Waterslides and theme park great and very convenient. Pity no evening food options on site but good places nearby

The trip was a lot of fun. The biggest downfalls were the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the prices at the park were astronomically expensive for the concession stands and not being able to bring your own water to the park. The best part of the trip was the park passes were included with the rooms and the kids had a blast with the park experience.

Very outdated. Missed the simple coffee pot and ironer. It would have been nice to have a coffee vending machine in lobby. Two good things, our tv was not working and maintenance did come within the hour to fix the issue, and any calls to guests services were answered within minutes
