Everything was nice. The pool is really small and there’s no chairs or any space around it. The outdoor patio is nice, just a little bit ‘boring’. No fire pit or music or some basic design… could be a real gem. The room was nice and clean. Though the shower stream was really low…

The bellman Shaun was outstanding. Very personable, happy to help me with 3 kids. Made each one of feel welcome and had lots of knowledge about things to do. The dine-in option is terrible, it isn’t clear what the stipulations are. It’s basically uber, except with uber I can at least contact the person bringing the food. The menu to choose from lacks an option to ask for things like napkins or extra silverware. There is no direct contact to the dining option and you have to go through hotel staff, responses took between 15-20 min. Our pizza from the dine in option wasn’t cut and we asked to have cutlery brought up and were told to go to the hotel restaurant (which we didn’t order from). I was one adult with three young children and couldn’t exactly bring everyone downstairs for things like a knife or ranch (which the order included but didn’t deliver). We ended up ripping it with our hands. I had also mentioned we were there for a birthday stay, asked where I could find a good desert and again was told to basically go downstairs and ask the restaurant myself. There is basically zero room service for anything outside towels or robes. Before Shaun was able to come meet us, I was told to come downstairs and “maybe grab a luggage cart” because the front desk wasn’t sure there was one. i requested valet bring my car I noted a specific time and they brought it almost 20 min early, it felt very rushed. Don’t go expecting typical hotel experience for this type of establishment.

The hotel was located in a very centralized location with lots of dining and shopping options near by that you can walk to. Keep in mind there are a lot of homeless around this area. It was also not too far from some of the famous hiking spots. Parking is right next to the hotel, which was very nice. It does say heated pool; however, the pool did not seem it was heated and there are not enough chairs to accommodate people. Our front desk person that helped us was slightly rude. She said she would call us as soon our room was available, but never did. The windows in the room are not that thick so you can hear the train and cars in the room. Also, our AC in the room felt like it didn’t work. Not sure if I would stay here again if I ever come back to Portland.

I am a frequent "staycationer" and usually sort my booking search by 4+ stars, 9+ guest rating. This time I risked lowering my filter to 8+ rating and selecting The Duniway based on the appealing patio and lobby photos. It was among the more expensive options, yet of the places I have *stayed, the room was disappointing. Stained carpet, scuffed pleather headboards, odd paint touch-ups, no character. The beds were comfy and the TV, shower, and lobby were nice, but for the price it was an average value at best. As for the patio that tempted me to book, it was an attractive space but the seating was pretty worn out and uncomfortable. I am guessing this hotel was great at the time it opened, but it needs TLC, or to lower its rates to match its current state. I regret that I chose this relative "splurge" as a special treat when I could have stayed at the Heathman or The Nines for a similar price, or the more comparable Bidwell or lovely Dossier for significantly less. This mini-vacation was a consolation prize for the milestone Vegas b-day trip that BFF and I had to cancel because she recently suffered a house fire, and it was not the luxury experience I had hoped for. *I have also stayed at The Benson, Woodlark, Deluxe, Vintage, Royal Sonesta, Zags (similar upkeep issues but way cheaper), Hi-Lo, and Vance. I am probably the LEAST likely to return to Duniway unless they were running a big promotion. Not a bad hotel, just a poor value compared to competitors. (Nice staff!)

This is a beautiful property, but has some maintenance issues going neglected. The common areas are very nice (lobby, bar, restaurant.) The room was nice, TV is the largest I think I've ever seen in a hotel room. But the bathroom had paint peeling off in sheets just hanging from the ceiling. Not something you want to see after spending $300 on a boutique hotel room. The bed was not terribly comfortable (woke up with a sore back) and seemed smaller than a king, like somewhere between a queen and king, so felt shortchanged with that. The indoor pool and gym are nice, but we were a little disappointed in the outdoor area on the 11th floor. My tween was excited to play the oversized chess set, but numerous pieces were missing or broken. Finally, I paid more to upgrade to a corner room, thinking there would be windows/views on 2 sides with lots of natural light (as there usually are in hotel corner rooms) but that was not the case. Not sure what the benefit was of this corner. Overall, I liked this part of downtown and did enjoy the vibe of the hotel, but the higher price just didn't deliver.

Rooms were meh. Bathroom shower had some mold in the grout. The restaurant was amazing for dinner…didn’t get to swim in the pool. Need better blankets on the bed… they were thin. I hate that. I don’t think I’ll go back to stay at the hotel but the restaurant was worth going back to for dinner again.

Overall nice hotel, but cleanliness and slow response was an issue. When we arrived to the room, there were hairs all over the toilet seat. It took us calling the front desk 3 times over 2.5 hours and then going down to the front desk to get it resolved. Also, despite requesting our rooms being cleaned, one of them wasn't the first day and the second day was only partially cleaned (bed wasn't touched)

The rooms were nice enough, but dated. Cheap wood veneer surfaces, scratched headboard, rust running out of the overflow in the sink because the sink was installed backward. Refrigerator but no microwave. Room had decent amenities, large newer tv and a comfortable couch as well as desk and table. No breakfast available unless you are a Hilton Rewards member. Motel 6 provides a free breakfast and microwave in the room, but Hilton doesn\'t..? Decent views from the 19th floor, but expect beggars and fentanyl addicts to be poking thru the garbage barrels outside or hunched over in a fentanyl induced daze once you hit ground level. Be prepared to be asked for a cigarette more than once as you leave the hotel. Feel free and drink the water bottles "provided" if you don\'t mind seeing a $4 charge per bottle show up on your invoice for a bottle of Niagara that sells for 38 cents at the grocery store.

Room looked a bit dated with some stains on the carpets, sofa and scratches on the headboard. Bathroom was clean though. We had stayed here 4 times before, but this was the first time we payed the extra money for a top floor room. I was hoping for an amazing view, but was met with a brick wall right out the window as soon as i walked in the room. Once you walked up to the window and looked left you had a decent view of a couple high rise buildings, but i was expecting a bit more for the price. I would avoid this room if your in it for the view like i was. We have had a waaaay better view of the city in one of the standard rooms. We also encountered issues with the elevator that takes you up to the parking garage way too many times one day, had to use the stairs a lot. This won't be our last stay here, we'll prolly give it one more chance. I really hope our next visit is better than this one.

Excellent service, and fantastic room, but could not order an alcoholic beverage before 4 pm in the hotel, and the rooms do not offer On-Demand movies, so bring a Roku or Fire Stick if you or your kids want to plug into their TV bc they are not smart TVs. Also, we were told we may be able to check in early, but if you leave the lobby, you will miss out as its first come first serve. My friend and I flew in at 9 am and opted to try for early check-in and kept being told to check back in an hour. We decided to just order a drink at the bar at 2:30, but they didn’t serve alcohol or food until 4, which was check-in time. I wish there was some sort of list and the hotel would contact you so you could leave to explore the area without missing an early check-in room. Otherwise, nice employees and fantastic room.

This was a great hotel, huge rooms, huge tv and in a very safe area. The only point I would make is that there are no microwaves, community or otherwise. But we will definitely re-book at this hotel when traveling to Portland!

Loved the hotel! Great for families. The restaurant had a great brunch and dinner menu. The lobby bar was beautiful but the main bartender was SO RUDE. He looked miserable and would just walk away in the middle of your order. I was stunned with his behavior. Other guests were also complaining about his service.

I really enjoyed the Duniway. It's a nice hotel with large rooms, comfortable beds and modern amenities. Unfortunately, there was a mix up and the hotel did not provide housekeeping at all during my 3-night stay. For some crazy reason, I thought hanging the YES side of the card on my door meant I wanted housekeeping, but after returning to a dirty room again on my last night, the staff informed me that Hilton has a policy of not entering a room when a card is hung on the doorknob regardless of the message. You read that right—apparently a door hanger communicates to the housekeeping staff, that they are NOT to enter the room—whether it hangs on the "Yes" side or "No" side. You would think Hilton Hotels had figured out the Do Not Disturb sign by now.

The property and the stay was great. However, during after-hours, the number to the front desk routes to a Support Center. We had a challenging time informing the hotel about a late, after-hours check-in. The phone connection was bad, the Support person barely understood what we were saying. Informed us to 'email' the front desk about the late check-in. Once we reached the hotel, the in-person after-hours check-in was smooth

The girls at the front desk were clearly inconvenienced by anyone checking in , including myself . They were rude , very uninformative , the only other staff I saw was not helpful in any way. The area outside the elevators in parking garage were piled with trash . The room was alright but for what I paid I expected way nicer . I will not be returning that’s for sure .

The front desk was not helpful or friendly. I had to call 4 times to request a receipt to be sent to me. I was not welcomed in a friendly manner. I am a long-time Hilton customer. I hoped a boutique hotel would have a more customer service-minded stance. I could have chosen from so many other hotels.

The pool area had no tables or chairs to sit would’ve been nice. The area around here is terrible we took a 5 minute walk down the street and back and saw several tents and more multiple drug addicts and people dedicating in the street and sleeping on the side walk or in door ways. I didn’t feel safe or comfortable.

My first time staying at the Duniway. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff were very helpful and the amenities were excellent. I enjoyed the Mayrose dining and bar service. The room was clean with comfortable beds and a great view. I plan on staying here again when I visit Portland.

My sole criticism is that the toiletries provided were highly unpleasant, too floral, scent too strong. The smell made me nauseated. Try something citrusy instead. I was also a little disappointed that the bar closed at 11:00. Otherwise an excellent stay. Loved the room! Staff were universally helpful. *Next time* I’ll bring a bathing suit!

This hotel was located at a very good location for taking a walk around the town and malls. The area also felt safe. The property has only pool which was full, should consider an adults pool and children pool, to make sure all guest gets access. Breakfast had long lines, due to public holiday and multiple guests. Waiting period of 1 hour minimum. The dinner options were not that great but breakfast was pretty good. Overall it was a great stay.
