Loved everything about this hotel. The pool with the pool bar was awesome. Spent many hours a day there. The view is second to none. The staff is world class. Breakfast on the balcony was second to none. I would return in a heart beat!!

We had an incredible stay at Athina Luxury Suites! We were here for part of our honeymoon and everything was so perfect. From the balcony breakfasts to the massages to the infinity pool and pool bar, it really was a dream. Walkable to town and transportation services available to everywhere else on the island. And porter services are a must with all the steps! Our room was beautiful and clean and comfortable to stay in and we would definitely stay again and recommend to others! Thank you to everyone who is apart of the Athina Luxury Suites team!

Simply amazing! We’ve been to Santorini 7x now and we think this is absolutely the best hotel there! We stayed here 5 years ago and it is exactly how we remembered it. Even better. We were in honeymoon suite 12 and it was just beautiful, w our own hot tub overlooking the caldera. One thing to note is that our own hot tub and pool are heated. We had come from another property, paying a lot more and the pools & private hottub were so cold. The staff was fantastic, the location is ideal right in the heart of everything. So many restaurants and cafes nearby but there are stairs just like anywhere in Santorini. The pool has a swim up bar and overlooks the caldera which was breathtaking. This hotel is gorgeous. Trust us !

It was a beautiful property, we stayed in the honeymoon suite with a hot tub and a beautiful view of the Aegean sea. We could see the sunset every evening from our balcony or hot tub. The breakfast that they brought to the room every morning was exquisite and made to order. The room and hot tub was cleaned every day. They had ferragamo toiletries in the room. We stayed for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a whatsapp contact in case we needed anything. We also tried room service at the hotel for dinner one night, and the food was divine. We also spent one evening at the common heated pool and tried the swim up bar. The drinks were really good. Overall we had an amazing time and made our stay at Santorini unforgettable.

Top Lage mit tollem Ausblick – typisch Santorin eben. Klar, am Hang gelegen bedeutet viele Treppen, aber das weiß man vorher. Die Unterkunft ist allerdings sehr verwinkelt und schwer erreichbar, der Eingangsbereich extrem eng. Ausstattung leider nur mittelmäßig – vieles ist veraltet oder funktioniert nicht mehr richtig. Teilweise wirkt es etwas verwahrlost. Hilfe beim Koffertragen gibt’s zwar, ist aber oft mit einigem Aufwand verbunden. Ein echter Schock: 20 Euro für einen Campari Orange an der Poolbar – das ist selbst für Santorin einfach zu viel. Zum Personal: Leider besonders negativ aufgefallen ist das Verhalten des Manager (das Phantom) . Sehr unfreundlich, wenig entgegenkommend und vor allem stark auf ihr „Recht“ bedacht – statt auf Gästekomfort. Hier fehlt es deutlich an Service-Mentalität und Gastfreundschaft. Fazit: Lage top, der Rest hat definitiv Luft nach oben.

Super impressed with this hotel from start to finish. From arranging a driver to pick us up at the airport, to sending people to take our luggage since there is a lot of stairs it was nice to not have to carry our luggage there. The pool is heated with a swim up bar and the bar tender was great. The room was very clean and the staff was on top of keeping our room clean and fresh towels. We had the most incredible views of the caldera and our own private heated plunge pool and balcony. I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. Staff was 5 star and so was the room we stayed in! Thank you Athena for a wonderful experience for the start of our honeymoon!

Elegant hotel. Amazing views, first class service, spotlessly clean, unequaled views with sunsets from our deck. Gorgeous infinity pool and swim-up bar with friendly service. Pricey, but worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime romantic experience. Only caution is that there are a lot of steps to climb down to the room and back up to the lobby, so be prepared for a little exercise!

The view to enjoy the jacuzzi and in-room breakfast is excellent. Their breakfast choice is limited when comparing with buffet style, but the portion is big enough. The staff is friendly and helpful. After check in, we found that they have compliment luggage carrying service from the main road to their resort, it is a bit hard to carry the luggage down the hill with many steps, so better to ask for their whatsapp contact after booking and message them to pick up at the main road when arrived. There are many restaurants and shops near by, a short distance to the pier tram station. The only comment for their improvement is: cleansing leaves floating on the outdoor jacuzzi and turning on the power prior to check in.When we arrived at our suite and the staff explained how to use the jacuzzi, we think it is a bit dirty but they removed all floating leaves after we returned from dinner.

Athina might’ve been a top hotel in the past but it feels small and run down now. We booked a honeymoon suite that was advertised as 40sqm on Expedia but the room was tiny - nowhere near 40sqm; probably less than half that. There were scuff marks everywhere and the bathroom shower floor had stains and a dirty look. At night you can hear the people from above scraping their chairs loudly, enough to wake our baby multiple times. It was not at all worth the price and nowhere near a 5 star stay.

Amazing location and beautiful property with Caldera views. Breakfast was delicious, rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly. I had to give it 4 stars because there were tiny mosquitos getting in the room from the windows and the shower didn't have a door, so every time you showered the entire bathroom would get soaked.

This is a fantastic hotel; the staff were all very friendly and helpful and responsive to all requests. The hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and tourist sites. We would definitely stay there again. Our room was very comfortable, always clean, wonderfull breakfasts provided, strong water pressure and A/C. We always felt welcomed.

The shower was nice and big and the toiletries smelled amazing. I also really enjoyed the extras like slippers, robes, pillow firmness menu, etc. I thought the outdoor restaurant was pretty good aside from my salad being overdressed but it had an unbeatable sunset view. The only potential negative thing I would have to say is that because of the prime cliffside location of this hotel, it’s not great for accessibility. I personally had no problem but was surprised to learn I would have to climb A LOT of stairs to get from the hotel back up to the street. Luckily, the staff are more than happy to help carry your luggage. Overall I thought this hotel was a great price for the rooms and service. I wish I could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!

My room was not private nor VIP according to what I paid for and expected. I paid for the honeymoon suite with private outdoor hot tube and sitting area with a couch bed. My room was half the size of the honeymoon suite and my private hot tube was wide open to other guests walking back and forth. Someone even left their empty glass on my table. The couple I came with also had the honeymoon suite as we both booked our stay together, but they were in a different area of the hotel which even said honeymoon suites. Room was bigger and hot tube area was private with a door. Definitely unsatisfied with my stay in regards to my basic room. I was bamboozled.

Simply amazing! We’ve been to Santorini 7x now and we think this is absolutely the best hotel there! We stayed here 5 years ago and it is exactly how we remembered it. Even better. We were in honeymoon suite 12 and it was just beautiful, w our own hot tub overlooking the caldera. One thing to note is that our own hot tub and pool are heated. We had come from another property, paying a lot more and the pools & private hottub were so cold. The staff was fantastic, the location is ideal right in the heart of everything. So many restaurants and cafes nearby but there are stairs just like anywhere in Santorini. The pool has a swim up bar and overlooks the caldera which was breathtaking. This hotel is gorgeous. Trust us !

It was a beautiful property, we stayed in the honeymoon suite with a hot tub and a beautiful view of the Aegean sea. We could see the sunset every evening from our balcony or hot tub. The breakfast that they brought to the room every morning was exquisite and made to order. The room and hot tub was cleaned every day. They had ferragamo toiletries in the room. We stayed for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a whatsapp contact in case we needed anything. We also tried room service at the hotel for dinner one night, and the food was divine. We also spent one evening at the common heated pool and tried the swim up bar. The drinks were really good. Overall we had an amazing time and made our stay at Santorini unforgettable.

We like the property coz of its stunning view of the caldera, especially our Room (Junior Cave suite) with two windows that gave us more a very good view. The only thing that is very disturbing, especially at night are the loud music nearby the hotel. The hotel is very clean, staffs were pleasant, breakfast was very good, prepared at your own liking. Overall, great experience and highly recommended.

Athina might’ve been a top hotel in the past but it feels small and run down now. We booked a honeymoon suite that was advertised as 40sqm on Expedia but the room was tiny - nowhere near 40sqm; probably less than half that. There were scuff marks everywhere and the bathroom shower floor had stains and a dirty look. At night you can hear the people from above scraping their chairs loudly, enough to wake our baby multiple times. It was not at all worth the price and nowhere near a 5 star stay.

Beautiful location, incredible views. Petite Cave suite a bit small, if you are over 6 ft talk watch your head at the front door and in the bathroom. Kind of dark, definitely cave like. But you are there for the location and the view. Hotel is one level down so plenty of stairs to get up and down. Avoid if you have any mobility issues. Staff was great and very attentive. Would stay again.

Super impressed with this hotel from start to finish. From arranging a driver to pick us up at the airport, to sending people to take our luggage since there is a lot of stairs it was nice to not have to carry our luggage there. The pool is heated with a swim up bar and the bar tender was great. The room was very clean and the staff was on top of keeping our room clean and fresh towels. We had the most incredible views of the caldera and our own private heated plunge pool and balcony. I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. Staff was 5 star and so was the room we stayed in! Thank you Athena for a wonderful experience for the start of our honeymoon!

First, let me say, the staff are wonderfully helpful, starting with the young men that carry your luggage down and up the numerous stairs to the hotel. The view from our "cave room" was breathtaking!! When we arrived at the airport, the hotel arranged for a driver to meet us. After we were taken to our suite, we found the outdoor hottub was not functional- water was cold. But, they immediately upgraded us to a better suite, a delux cave suite which had an indoor and outdoor hottubs. Breakfast was included and they brought it to our suite at our specified time each morning and it was plentiful and delicious. We also ordered room service two evenings as we had a table and chairs on our patio. This food was also delicious. My only concerns was there were steps up to the bedroom without a rail on one side and when you reached the top, if not careful, you hit your head on the side of the cave wall. My husband and I are 63 and 73 and physically able, but it was scary at times. In addition, the concrete floors are slippery when wet, and I fell one time. No injuries. Just saying if you chose this room, u may want to be younger. lol. It was like a dream- it was so beautiful. I would stay there again!

The hotel is beautiful, perched on the cliff walls like all the others. The staff are what put it over the top though, polite and attentive, incredibly helpful setting up local transportation and accommodating us for an extra unexpected day after the ferries were all shut down for the day.

Kayleigh, at the front desk was extremely helpful in arranging ferry and airport transportation, taxi service, car rentals, dining reservations, etc. We literally just asked, and she delivered, took a lot of guessing and leg work out of our planning. They ask to connect with WhatsApp, for easy communications! The only downside of the resort, is the quick route up to the street is 85 steps, and it's steep, definitely a work out. So if you have joint, leg, or back issues, the Hotel Atlantis which is right next door, is a better option, or a hotel with an elevator, which there are only a few. Location is excellent, right in the heart of Fira, easy shopping, lots of dining choices and night life. Def glad we chose to stay in Fira over Oia, views IMHO are just as good, and there's more to do in Fira. Centrally located to all the other sites on the island. Would I stay here again? While incredibly nice, prob not, due to the walk/steps up to the street, and the basic lower cost rooms, and even farther down than the Deluxe room we stayed at, which is just one level below Reception. Reception is the top level, and 85 steps. If you don't mind the steps, than I highly recommend.

Nice looking pool! Free bottle of wine to start and to go bag at check out! Highly recommended for this Fira hotel. Nice hustle bustle area, but convenient so you can go back to your room to relax. I loved the location of this property. Once you climb to the main street, everything was near by. The location was so convenient where stepping out the door front look is ocean view and volcano view to enjoy and enjoy other amenities. In addition, the staff was extremely kind.

This is a fantastic hotel; the staff were all very friendly and helpful and responsive to all requests. The hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and tourist sites. We would definitely stay there again. Our room was very comfortable, always clean, wonderfull breakfasts provided, strong water pressure and A/C. We always felt welcomed.

The Athina was everything we hoped to would be. There are outstanding touches everywhere, from the super helpful, attentive concierge team to the amazing, personalized breakfast spreads to the fantastic masseuse. Find the pillows too hard? They have a *pillow menu*. They’ve really thought of everything. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful and the staff are amazing to work with. The pool area is great and provides an exceptional view of the sea. A swim up bar only adds to the enjoyment. Consider making a sunset dinner reservation at their restaurant and enjoy the amazing sunset views. Dinner was excellent and the service was top notch. The pride in food, service and care was obvious and certainly enhanced our overall dining experience.We look forward to our next stay here.

Top Lage mit tollem Ausblick – typisch Santorin eben. Klar, am Hang gelegen bedeutet viele Treppen, aber das weiß man vorher. Die Unterkunft ist allerdings sehr verwinkelt und schwer erreichbar, der Eingangsbereich extrem eng. Ausstattung leider nur mittelmäßig – vieles ist veraltet oder funktioniert nicht mehr richtig. Teilweise wirkt es etwas verwahrlost. Hilfe beim Koffertragen gibt’s zwar, ist aber oft mit einigem Aufwand verbunden. Ein echter Schock: 20 Euro für einen Campari Orange an der Poolbar – das ist selbst für Santorin einfach zu viel. Zum Personal: Leider besonders negativ aufgefallen ist das Verhalten des Manager (das Phantom) . Sehr unfreundlich, wenig entgegenkommend und vor allem stark auf ihr „Recht“ bedacht – statt auf Gästekomfort. Hier fehlt es deutlich an Service-Mentalität und Gastfreundschaft. Fazit: Lage top, der Rest hat definitiv Luft nach oben.

Unit 12 was quite outdated and could benefit from some renovations; however, it did offer a great view, which was a definite highlight. We asked if it was possible to move to another room, but were told that nothing else was available. Also, be prepared to climb a fair number of steps, Overall, the excellent staff and beautiful view made for a pleasant stay, despite the dated room accommodations.

Location was great with incredible views, staff was friendly. Facilities very clean. Travelers be aware the rooms with a loaf, is not a real loaf, there is no bed, only a matress on the floor of the “loaf” and you are not able to stand up straight.
