We loved the waterfront setting. Parking was a bit tricky due to an event happening that created road closures. Overall, the location was great, with easy access to the PATH to go in and out of NYC. We will definitely stay again and request a room with a view of the water!

Overall was a good stay. Tried to order room service and didn’t work so had to go to the restaurant to order and wait. Also hard to navigate elevators and where to go to get to the restaurant.

Overall it is a very good place to stay. The only shortcoming was that one of the elevators was not working during the stay. It caused difficulty for getting in and out, and for breakfast.

The rooftop bar was closed for renovations, so we couldn't see or use it. Overall, the accommodation shows signs of wear and tear, but despite these minor flaws, we would still recommend it due to the very friendly staff and the excellent location.

It is in a handsome old building, but there are not enough elevators. It is a talll building with many rooms and there is a rooftop bar/party venue. At any given time there might be 8 - 20 people waiting to use one of the 3 elevators. We decided not to wait for the elevator upon check-in, and had to carry our bags up several flights of stairs. The suite is well laid out and the bed and pillow in the bedroom were fine, but the sofabed mattress was so thin and lumpy that our son could not sleep on it - he just slept on the couch itself. The breakfast buffet was standard - many items but not of the best quality. However, the coffee was like dishwater. Most people these days are used to good coffee and it was very disappointing not to have it. I preferred to make coffee in our room using both packets to make one cup. We will not be returning to Hyatt House.

The small suite was nice with a separate sitting area and kitchen. It averaged about $450 per night over the 9 nights I was there. That’s not cheap but it’s that pricey because it’s right at a PATH train stop only 8 minutes into Manhattan. There is no lobby. None. Nowhere to sit down there. However, they have a rooftop bar and deck with great views. The only problem I faced was low water pressure with difficult to dial in temperatures. The shower is weak so takes extra time. The Jersey City water front is great as it’s close to Manhattan without the congestion and noisy aggravation.

Clean spacious room, bathroom and comfortable beds but the breakfast menu could do with an upgrade, especially since hotel is for extended stays, same limited food options every day quality of which is not great. Front desk staff guest etiquette also could be better. Noisy events sometimes hosted outside and rooftop events means you can’t dine there. Terrace restaurant not operational. Otherwise good hotel and stay if you’re fairly self sufficient.

We booked this hotel for the 4th of July weekend hoping to catch the fireworks from the rooftop. However, we were surprised to find out that viewing the fireworks from the rooftop came with an additional fee, and reserving a table cost even more. What's more, the rooftop was open to non-guests, which made it overcrowded and potentially hazardous. We ended up watching the fireworks on the Hudson River banks with the general public instead. While the hotel had its positives – cleanliness, great location, decent breakfast and easy access to public transportation, our experience with the fireworks viewing was disappointing. Given this, we likely won't return.

We returned to Hyatt House for the second time in a couple of years, since we had a great experience the last time. The Good: - Fast Check In. It took all of 3 mins to get us checked into our room. The gentleman was nice and courteous and answered all of our questions with a smile. - Parking: convenient parking available across the street at $27/night rate - Facilities: Although we did not use the gym, laundry or business center, they seemed clean and in good working order. - Location: Being right next to the Path station at Exchange Place is great and very convenient for getting into lower Manhattan. The Bad: - Our room key card would not work for our door. And we had to wait for over 30 mins for an engineer to fix it. - Breakfast: The quality of the breakfast went down considerably compared to last time we went. The scrambled eggs were hard, the fresh fruit was anything but fresh, the bakery seemed stale. - Room: The room was dirty and we found multiple areas where there was hair, stains on furniture and carpet, previous tenants’ personal hygiene supplies left behind. I hope the decline in quality is due to a busy weekend since this was a disappointment for us. We are considering changing hotels the next time we come visit NYC and Jersey.

This hotels standard for clean is unacceptable and we won’t stay ever again. We booked this trip because we were attending an event in the area and didn’t want to drive back to the city after. When got to the room because we were running late we prepared to change and leave for the event. Around 1am we got back. Once we unwinded and went to get in bed we found what appeared to be blood droplets on the blanket and bodily fluids on the sheets. At 3am they offered to change our room. My husband said no because of the hour. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed in our clothes.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and always had a great experience. Thos time, however, the room we stayed in (539) has some kind of mechanical pump that was going on and off from the early hours of the morning. It was extremely noisy and disturbed our sleep. There was also a strong smell of marijuana all along the corridor, more concentrated to the end of the corridor where our room was. I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she said it must have been coming from outside. There’s no way it was that strong coming from outside. I hope they investigated and fined whomever it was, smoking in the hotel. Breakfast, which is usually pretty good, was disappointing. The sausages were stone cold and there was a long wait for plates and cutlery. It looked like they were very short staffed and the few that were on, couldn’t keep up. Overall, a little disappointed, given our previous great experiences.

Nice location. Next to PATH train so easy to get to Manhattan. Room is ok. Sofa bed is really bad. You can feel the springs. Doors to bathroom should not be glass even though it is frosted, but not enough.

great views of Manhatten - very nice to be on the boardwalk - property was at a convenient location for weddings in the area, and very clean. My room was on the second floor right out side of the PATH stop and it was very noisey at night until midnight or 1 AM - and also starting early in the morning - so would recommend a room on a higher floor or other side of the building.

We got a spacious 2 queen-bedroom with a slight view of the Husdon River. I like it because breakfast is delicious and the hotel is always clean. This hotel is just a few steps away from PATH Exchange Place (very convenient if you plan to explore NYC) and Hudson River Waterfront Walkway with the scenic view of the Manhattan skyline. The place is also convenient to a lot of restaurants and a playground. Staff is also approachable. Would recommend this place to my friends. 😁
We got a spacious 2 queen-bedroom with a slight view of the Husdon River. I like it because breakfast is delicious and the hotel is always clean. This hotel is just a few steps away from PATH Exchange Place (very convenient if you plan to explore NYC) and Hudson River Waterfront Walkway with the scenic view of the Manhattan skyline. The place is also convenient to a lot of restaurants and a playground. Staff is also approachable. Would recommend this place to my friends. 😁

Mattresses were terrible. Woke up wirh a sore back everyday. There are no counters in the bathroom. Huge bathroom with a pedestal sink. Had to put towel on toilet lid to use as a shelf. Television small and port picture (minor issue) Bathroom not having vanity will be the reason we don’t go back.

Amazing location. 1 min walk to the Hudson river, 1 min to the Path and 5 minutes to ferry terminal. Right across Brookfield place with easy subway and ferry connection to Manhattan. Only complain was the glass washroom door which was not very opaque. Lacked visual n sound privacy.

Great location for walking to sites or to the trains. Rooftop restaurant and bar has an AMAZING view of the Hudson. Our only issue was the room was too dark, not enough lighting.

The rooms weren't cleaned daily as requested and they even missed the schedule cleaning, room tea and coffee weren't replenished daily and still didn't fully after required. Room security deposit taken twice and they told us 1 would be refunded in 3-7 days, turns out that they hasn't released it. Breakfast was a basic buffet on plastic plates and paper cups. Corridors weren't cleaned daily but gym was. Staffing levels low for a quality hotel like the hyatt.

However, the check in process was unpleasant and our room was not ready even when arriving 20 minutes after check in time. The hotel seemed to do the least possible to remedy the situation and only offered somewhat more reasonable compensation when I pointed out a free appetizer at the hotel restaurant seemed a little cheap given that I had to wait with children for just under an hour after being told the room would be ready in 10 minutes. Thumbs down on service.

This was a perfect place for my family to stay for our trip to NYC. With easy access to the PATH system, we were in the city within a few minutes. The area around the hotel is clean with beautiful views of the skyline. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful.

For the price of this hotel I am definitely disappointed. I had house keeping once while I was there for 6 nights. I was spoken to very rudely by a man working in the restaurant. I was never able to go to the restaurant but i definitely think there should be some kind of priority for those staying in the hotel. The website wasn’t working for room service which messed up some nights when I didn’t wanna leave the hotel. Unfortunately one of the elevators was broken the whole time which left me waiting for 15 minutes at some points to get to breakfast or to get down to the lobby. I think for such an expensive and prestigious company I was definitely let down by the Hyatt house jersey city.

We stayed in Hyatt House Jersey City for 7 nights. Overall it was a lovely stay - we were given a room on the 12th floor with an amazing view of the Manhatan skyline across the river. Room was spacious, good shower and comfortable bed. Hotel was within walking distance to PATH, HBLR and ferries so very convenient. Area around hotel was lovely and safe with lots of dining options. Wifi was excellent and fast. Rooftop bar also has the most amazing views as well. Some negatives: breakfast was pretty basic and finishes at 9am on weekdays, only 2 lifts to get to 13th floor lobby which can sometimes take ages to come and one of the staff on the grund / level floor was pretty abrupt (the rest were generally ok). We loved the waterfront setting. Parking was a bit tricky due to an event happening that created road closures. Overall, the location was great, with easy access to the PATH to go in and out of NYC. We will definitely stay again and request a room with a view of the water!

hotel was very clean, quiet, in a nice area with cute coffee shops and right across the plaza from the PATH, very easy to get into the city. Parking garage was a bit hard to find, not in the same building as the hotel, had to pull onto the street to park and go inside to ask the front desk but once you see it and find it is easy to park and very close to the hotel. Rooftop bar was AMAZING, great service and incredible views. The Hotel is right across the water from One World Tower , great view of the city. Definitely would come back.

Seriously- if you’re going to NYC- stay here. Beautiful property- literally right across the street from the path train and one stop from World Trade Center. Gorgeous pier you can walk down and take in city lights and a Starbucks next door. Super safe area, and the staff were fantastic. Also- free breakfast is amazing. Real eggs. Sausage, and French toast. The rooms were lovely. Cannot say enough good things!

The small suite was nice with a separate sitting area and kitchen. It averaged about $450 per night over the 9 nights I was there. That’s not cheap but it’s that pricey because it’s right at a PATH train stop only 8 minutes into Manhattan. There is no lobby. None. Nowhere to sit down there. However, they have a rooftop bar and deck with great views. The only problem I faced was low water pressure with difficult to dial in temperatures. The shower is weak so takes extra time. The Jersey City water front is great as it’s close to Manhattan without the congestion and noisy aggravation.

Good to have some ham, regular cheese, vegetables to have on the breakfast too as example. But overall ok.

It is in a handsome old building, but there are not enough elevators. It is a talll building with many rooms and there is a rooftop bar/party venue. At any given time there might be 8 - 20 people waiting to use one of the 3 elevators. We decided not to wait for the elevator upon check-in, and had to carry our bags up several flights of stairs. The suite is well laid out and the bed and pillow in the bedroom were fine, but the sofabed mattress was so thin and lumpy that our son could not sleep on it - he just slept on the couch itself. The breakfast buffet was standard - many items but not of the best quality. However, the coffee was like dishwater. Most people these days are used to good coffee and it was very disappointing not to have it. I preferred to make coffee in our room using both packets to make one cup. We will not be returning to Hyatt House.

Thos time, however, the room we stayed in (539) has some kind of mechanical pump that was going on and off from the early hours of the morning. It was extremely noisy and disturbed our sleep. There was also a strong smell of marijuana all along the corridor, more concentrated to the end of the corridor where our room was. I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she said it must have been coming from outside. There’s no way it was that strong coming from outside. I hope they investigated and fined whomever it was, smoking in the hotel. Breakfast, which is usually pretty good, was disappointing. The sausages were stone cold and there was a long wait for plates and cutlery. It looked like they were very short staffed and the few that were on, couldn’t keep up. Overall, a little disappointed, given our previous great experiences.

First of all the staff was just great! Helpful in every way, pleasant and professional. We really liked the location, parked the car and enjoyed public transportation. Both ferries and the PATH are right outside the door. Finally the complimentary breakfast makes it so easy to start the day, lots to choose from and convenient. Would absolutely recommend and will book again.

The Stay was great. When my family and I arrived , I did not like the location. So I went back to the front desk to see if they can accommodate us somewhere else. Without hesitation I was relocated to another room. Upon entering the new room we noticed that the slide glass to the bathroom was off the hinges. We placed a call to housekeeping and in less then 10min someone was knocking on the door to fix it. The hospitality is excellent here and the location is breathtaking. This hotel is one of our favorite locations when we come to town.
