I enjoyed my stay! The room was great! Breakfast was great! Staff were great! Down side: No pool. The Fitness Centre was under renovation so unfortunately I was unable to use this for the 5 days I stayed here. It looks like they have Life Fitness gym equipment which is ok but Technogym equipment would be much better! I had to walk the streets to get cardio and I would personally not recommend guests walk the streets in this neighbourhood. There was a lot of broken glass, crushed alcohol bottles and cigarette butts on the sidewalk, plus other litter. I also noticed a few dangling electricity wires hanging from the hydro lines. Everything was fenced/gated with bars on windows. The locals I spoke with warned me there are a lot of street workers in the area. If you are staying here, stay in the hotel and drive to wherever else you are planning to visit while in town. I walked the streets but not recommending others do so.

The reason why we chose this hotel is because we wanted to be as close as possible to NYC without actually staying in NYC. Lower Manhattan is approximately 6 miles away and you get there driving through the Holland Tunnel. The greatest feature of this hotel was the easy and free onsite parking. We used Uber for our sightseeing in NYC which ranged from $40-$60 depending on traffic, which is constant. This hotel has everything you need ... comfortable rooms, okay shower pressure, typical free breakfast, and friendly staff. The outside area seems to be safe but isn't as inviting from the looks of it. We did not venture out on foot beyond the hotel grounds. Thank you to the staff for letting us leave our car on your parking lot on our departure day . We checked out of our room to do an excursion, returned back early afternoon, grabbed our car, and proceeded to our next sightseeing location.

The rooms were as pictured and had daily cleaning. Laundry facilities were available and in good condition. Daily breakfast was available which was a plus. After check out my deposit was released within 12hrs. The area around the hotel isn't the best so don't expect a view but it's definitely worth the price.

Room was a good size but the location is awful. Busy main road in front, railroad at the back. Noisy throughout the night, no sound proofing in the rooms either. You can also hear other rooms toilets flushing. Guests being loud at 1am. Coffee machine didn’t work in the room. Cleaning could be better - long black hairs left in bathroom and body lotion smeared on walls. There is no luggage storage (not mentioned on Expedia at time of booking) so when I checked out early they couldn’t fit my 2 bags in. The girl on check out (Kallie) was extremely unhelpful, she offered no solution to where I could stow my bags or her apologies. Really lacking customer service skills, her response to everything was “I don’t know”. I suggest she gets some better training

The room was dirty. It looked as if the room was not cleaned. There were finger prints on everything the rug aside of the nightstand between the beds was full of dust like it hasn’t been cleaned in a LONG time. They did nothing. They didn’t offer us another room or anything else.

The room was still "dirty" when we checked in. There was mens underwear in the bathroom and pubic hair on the bathroom floor. The comforter was stained and ripped. Spackle job in the bathroom was not finished also. So technically it's still under construction.

Bedbugs were found until the day after checking jn. I notified the front desk immediately after spotting one after having picked it up with a tissue and throwing it in the toilet. The front desk said to go to the new staff after 7am. I had to wait a whole hour. They said they would call pest control to service the room immediately and I was also told the manager would be there from 12:30-4 to speak to them. So when I got back to the hotel at 3, the new crew told me the manager was on.vacation and started putting excuses and they hadn’t even called pest control yet! I was switched to another room, but I wasn’t happy with how they lied to me and how they weren’t handling the situation. I was told they would email me for updates, but haven’t heard a peep regarding the pest control update nor refund status they mentioned. Apart from that. There were bloodstains on the bedsheets. Gross!

Hotel was clean, rooms were fairly modern and comfortable. Free breakfast had many option: eggs, sausage or bacon, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, yogurt, and fruits. Rooms were quiet. Located on main road. Only few miles out of the city.

The guy who checked us in was terrible. Not only could I barely understand his heavy accent but he was short, and tossed a pen down on the counter for me to sign. Very inhospitable. The elevator dinged loudly on every floor and there were no snack or beverage machines that I could find. The gym was nice but the tvs didn’t work

Good value but a lot of issues. Upon check in (Sun. evening), we showered but there was no bodywash or shampoo. We were only staying two days. The front desk was busy So we had them replace them the next evening (as we already showered). We then ran out of handsoap the morning of our check out. Since we went down for breakfast at 6:30 am, I thought they could just go replace it. No, they do not have access to supplies nor do they have any alternatives. So you have to wait for housekeeping to arrive at 10 or 11 which is check out time. Management does not seem to care as they said it happens a lot but nothing changes.

The hotel is in s terrible location but its a decent hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom had hot water versus lukewarm. What annoyed me the most was how we were denied access to extra pillows. It made no sense to be stingy with pillows but they are. The staff that I communicated with informed me that that what you get should be sufficient and that it was their policy not to provide extras. The pillows are cheap and flat, and though there were four on each bed, we had a room with a pullout sofa and needed additional ones and were told no. It was ridiculous. Also, not a great hotel to stay in if you're trying to easily access NYC as they have no shuttle bus. Wasn't terrible but I would not likely return their with my family.

Not a great area , no food places within walking distance. Not enough staff so check in was difficult. Keys didn't work for room so had to go back down. Called for sheets for the sofa bed and after 45 mins I had to call again and was told they had no staff to get them for me and to wait. Forgot some items and asked if we could pay to have them shipped and still haven't gotten a reply . For the price I paid it was not worth it

They have been withholding my deposit for over a week now , and when I called to try and find out what’s going on Lisa the front desk associate claimed they already sent it back to my account. But upon checking with my bank there is no actual record of me receiving my deposit back. Lisa then hung up the phone on me when I informed her of that, she also refused to transfer me to a manager. And lastly lied and said she emailed me a receipt but I never received a email. I completely do not recommend this place. They will scam you and keep your deposit.

Great stay!!! Great price!!! Loved the room, the hospitality. All the staff we interacted with from front desk, cleaning staff, breakfast attendant were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Infact, we will be back for spring this year. Thank you for everything!!!!

The hotel as a facility is excellent. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Bed was very comfortable. The staff' attention leave much to improve. We had problem with the reservation that could have been avoided with more good will. We also asked to to leave our luggage but had to wait nearly 20 minutes until they were ready to take it. No line nor too many people waiting for service. If there was an issue, it would have been nice to be told about. When we finally gave our luggage, no explanation or apology was offered.

Desk attendant was RUDE, we had to wait for our room to be available AFTER check in time promised. They messed up our reservation and charged us for a night we weren’t there, and then tried to overcharge us for the night we were going to stay there and then claimed they didn’t have our second night booked.

Staff was great. However… location is less than desired (in an industrial area). Room was never cleaned during my stay. I was given the story that my do not disturb sign was up, but I had it on until 9 am during my stay. Bread products at the free breakfast were stale. Looking at other alternatives while I visit my daughter in Hoboken.

The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The mattress was firm which is what I like. The breakfast was okay. I like that the parking was free which is not true for most of Manhattan or even Queens hotels. The location is not that great, though. It's in a busy, dusty industrial area. Dining, entertainment and even grocery shopping are not within walking distance. If you have a car, though, that should not be a problem.

Without Google directions, the location would never have been found. Difficult to get to. The staff was very friendly. The beds comfortable. The breakfast just above average. No bananas. Real eggs and bacon. Snack bar lacking. No cold bottled water. Slightly better than anticipated.
