Hotel was in a great location, attractions were easily accessible. Experience was average. Decent places to eat were a bit of a walk, the walls are thin..could hear the family next store screaming at each other, not to mention everything going on it the bathroom next door. Mostly I was fixated on the fact that they did not supply a cork screw.. thought it would be pretty standard to have in the room for ITALY. It was not

We specifically booked and paid extra for a Superior Room with windows. When we arrived, we were instead given a room on the ground floor with no windows at all. Reception simply told us that the room category we had booked was not available. The room itself was dirty, extremely worn and noisy. The bathroom had a terrible smell, and the shower did not work properly – only the handheld showerhead was functioning. Even worse, our room was not cleaned once during our entire five-day stay. We specifically told the hotel that we wanted the room cleaned, but nobody ever came. Considering that the room was already dirty when we arrived, this was completely unacceptable. The service was equally disappointing. Some of the staff were dismissive and at times very rude, reception was difficult to reach, and nobody seemed interested in resolving the fact that we had been given a completely different and inferior room category. We eventually sent the hotel a formal complaint by email during our stay. They never even responded. Mistakes can happen, but selling a guest a Superior Room with windows, providing a significantly inferior windowless room instead, failing to clean the room for five days despite being specifically asked to do so, and then completely ignoring a written complaint is unacceptable. Based on both the condition of the hotel and the way we were treated, I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

Beware, if you book a junior suite you may be given a smaller room that does not have the listed square footage or amenities. The hotel will justify it by claiming that the smaller room pictures are in the same photo album listed under the junior suite. This is not true but the hotel will stand behind this deceptive practice and say that on their own website, the photos exist under the junior suite. Either way, rooms shouldn't be able to change class unless you are providing more than what was requested, not less. For context, my family of four booked a junior suite to ensure that we had room to relax in a separate area while the kids slept. We were given a room that only accommodates three people and offers no separate area. You are always within a couple feet of the king bed.
