Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Johnson City

First time to stay here. Very nice property close to shopping and dining. Easy access in and out of the parking area.

Front desk was efficient and pleasant. Hotel was modern. Nice pool and fitness center. Breakfast was a bit better than other hotel chains.

The hotel feels very new. It is very clean and it has a lot more perks that older hotels do not have. The lobby area is very well lit and has a lot of sitting spaces. The gym has some of the newest and nicest equipment I've seen in a hotel gym. My room was very clean and I love that the tvs have the smart tv capability to be able to sign into Netflix. The only complaints that I have was that I was next to the elevator equipment room and it was somewhat noisy during the night. Also, I had the AC turned down because I hate being hot when I sleep but it felt like the room couldn't cool down to the temperature the thermostat was set to. I know the hotel was fully sold out so I'm not sure if that was the reason.

It’s not a lot luxury hotel by any means, but for what it is, it’s excellent. Our room was very clean and well maintained, as was the facility itself. The breakfast was good. I will usually have oatmeal and it was good oatmeal. For people who like waffles, eggs, meat, etc., they had that. The television had some streaming services. The pool was nice. My husband had to wait at the front desk for staff to come back because they had ran out of towels at the pool.

Breakfast was fresh each morning and good. Parking was easy and convenient. Staff was very helpful.

This property is the perfect example of how far customer service can take you - as the property is Good but the hospitality is GREAT. Couple of quick points first: 1. Bed These beds were fine, not luxury or anything but clean and comfy with a range of pillow options. We slept great. 2. Breakfast. Several reviews said the breakfast was “just ok” but I thought it was good! The highlight was a luxurious oatmeal bar (fit with loads of fresh toppings) - the coffee was good too with plenty of name brand creamer and milk. 3. Pool Small but clean and the heater was working fine we had a great time. Ok the staff…! From accommodating our unexpectedly early check-in to making sure we had more than everything we needed, the staff at Fairfield went above and beyond. Sarah and the daytime staff were welcoming and made sure we had bottles of water that usually come with being a part of Marriott/BonVoy. She also made sure I had a razor since I forgot mine, but what most impressed me was how she took an interest in our son’s interests, checking on him throughout our stay. Really made him feel welcomed and special. In the evening Gabe was on the spot with a couple needs we had and even went out of his way to make cookies when I asked about the cookie policy. Unreal. The only drawback is the STRONG fabuloso smell during daily mop time in the lobby. However, based on the exceptional service there’s no question where we’re staying next time we’re in town.

Last minute placed booked and easy to get in and out. Kickbacks is a decent sports bar next door. Staff friendly and place is clean. Bellhop carts could not be found took a few trips to get our stuff up to second floor.

Clean, quiet. Super comfortable beds. Nice exercise room. Ample breakfast including eggs and waffles. Highly recommend. Several restaurants within a block yet very quiet area.

We loved our stay here. It's very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was the cleanest hotel bathroom I've ever seen. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shops (some within walking distance). The parking lot felt safe, too. We would definitely stay here again!

Indoor pool clean rooms space

I had to fix the loose, toilet seat, so we will not fall off. The TV reception was very glitchy. Crumbs in carpet. No receipt offer for my business stay. I’ve never experienced that. Are use Expedia, and that should not matter, how do we turn in the records to our job?

There was no hot water and a very bad sewage smell with gnats coming out of faucet.

Not sure if this hotel is new but it has to be one of the top cleanest places I have ever stayed The bathroom was pristine and the place was very very comfortable Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers breakfast was top notch with many choices and staff was very kind and helpful

I didn't have a top sheet on my bed and was too tired to deal with it at midnight. Nor did I have hand soap at the sink.

Great location, everything was so clean, and staff was wonderful.

Found men's underwear in our room next to bed from previous guest. Room not throughly cleaned or dusted.

My priority with any hotel is cleanliness. Every area of this location was clean. All the staff was very friendly. It's centrally located with plenty of restaurants very close by. I would recommend this location to anyone. I will definitely stay here again.

The place was pristine.

There are a couple of things that one expects from every hotel room above the lowest cost level. Safety, comfortable room, warm water and working bathroom, working TV and helpful staff. We stayed two nights. The TV audio was really bad. We checked out two other rooms and they were all the same. Looking at the back of the TV, I saw a router type attachment so I assumed all the TV's in the hotel were networked in some way and thus all were afflicted with the horrible audio. When I talked to the front desk they said there was nothing they could do about any TV...they couldn't even switch one out if it did not work at all. The bathroom was short on toilet paper...even after house keeping. !!! We had to go to front desk asking if we could please have some toilet paper. Got tired of using the kleenex, if you know what I mean. But with those disappointments, I will say the rooms were neat, the bed comfortable and the breakfast pretty decent. I doubt if management will fix the Hotel-wide TV audio problem but come on, rationing toilet paper? Pretty tacky.

I could have done without the check in phone call right after I had fell asleep for my nap after a long travel. Besides that, everything was Great. Warning though, very tall beds.

We had a king studio, so comfortable with couch, work desk, 2 tvs (one didn't work so Gabe brought a new tv & remote), comfy bed, beautiful, roomy bathroom (only complaint is needs a higher toilet, hard to get up). Sarah, the manager (so nice, friendly) came up to figure out why fridge didn't work & plugged it in where it was supposed to go. When husband had medical issue, she recommended a great Urgent Care! Breakfast area was good; roomy, nice variety of food choices and coffee was good. Close to Food City, restaurants & fun downtown area! Had a great stay here!

Comfortable quiet room. Would be nice if electric outlets were upgraded to include USB ports.

It was very nice. Frig was not very cold even when on highest setting. Otherwise very nice.

We had a first floor room facing the parking lot and bar across the parking lot. It was very noisy late into the night. Could also heat our neighbor snoring. Bed wasn't as comfortable as the last time we stayed.

The beds are unusually high, I\'m 6\'3" and I had a devil of a time sitting on the bed. Wife 5\'4" she had a super tough time. There are no places to sit and watch TV other than climbing onto the bed. The bathroom only had 2 very small partial rolls of TP, no backup! There needs to be a chair to sit in, a small step stool and back up toilet supplies.

Hotel staff excellent!!! Room was lovely, but beds not that comfortable to be honest. And that is literally the only complaint.

No tissues in the room. Fridge was either busted or not plugged in and the cord is hidden. Room is nice enough.

Easy check in, great room, friendly staff.

I have had a good experience overall. One of my only requirements for a hotel was that they offer room service every day. However, this was not the case. I stayed there for three days without room service which is kind of disappointing.

Excellent staff, clean and comfortable room.

I was very pleased with all aspects of this hotel: service, cleanliness, friendliness & efficiency of the staff. All was outstanding. The morning breakfasts were wonderful and staff were attentive to keeping the food available. Maid service was excellent.

Staff VERY friendly and welcoming.

The facility itself was very nice. Comfortable bed, updated, clean. But 3/5 staff we interacted with fell short of the Marriott standard we used to expect. They were distracted, bored, unhelpful, and unfriendly. The one server at breakfast didn’t seem able to keep up with demand, even though it was quiet and uncrowded. Stiill, it was otherwise a very pleasant one-night stay.

Hotel was nice and clean. The free breakfast was okay but nothing special. Wished they had more fresh fruit. They only had a few oranges and some very green bananas.

I have two minor issues, one-the bed was so high up off the floor that my wife 5'2" and me 6'2" had issues getting in bed. Next the breakfast food was just vending machine food.

The Fairfield Inn offers an excellent overall experience. The welcoming and helpful reception staff, along with the well-maintained facility, make it a great choice. The breakfast buffet is also a highlight. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and will definitely be returning.

I found that the room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. The breakfast was much better than most I have experienced at other hotels. Kudos to the lady preparing and stocking the breakfast. The breakfast is a great value. I was on the top floor and i heard no noise all night.

Hot foods on breakfast bar were warm at best. Otherwise, a great stay. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean!

The hotel was clean and convenient However some of the details came up short. Small things like rather than nice mugs and glasses in the room for water and coffee, flimsy paper ones. The free breakfast was low quality and unappetising. If I had been staying in a Motel 6, that is what I would have expected but when one night is almost $200, I expect a little more. The location is good. We enjoyed the nearby Mad Greek restaurant.

The shower head was worth the stay ! I literally searched the name & am ordering one for myself. Everything was great. The breakfast buffet could use a tweak but the coffee was awesome !
